My husband and I (and our two cats) just moved from Grand Rapids, MI down to southern Illinois with a team from College Hunks (shout out to Bennet, Eddie, and John!) and it was such a smooth experience. We’re former military and have moved between states many times before and it’s always stressful, but these guys really made it as easy as possible. Our initial conversations were with Willie, who was extremely personable and responsive. He dropped supplies by our place a few days ahead of time, answered all of our questions, and helped get the best price for the full-service, interstate move. (Trust me, I compared and got quotes and even haggled a bit with other companies. These guys’ attitudes and professionalism made it an easy decision.) Bennett, Eddie, and John showed up on time and ready to work. Items were packed quickly and safely. (We’re unpacked now and nothing was broken!) They had good camaraderie as they worked, which made the long day a lot better. They were so fast and definitely knew what they were doing while packing valuable, precious, or heirloom items. I would highly recommend them and we’ll probably use College Hunks for our next move.

We were very happy with the young men who moved our furniture and valuables! They were super professional, and careful, nice and accommodating! I would hire them again. What I did not like was trying to get ahold of the main office. College Hunks is a franchise and you cannot contact the local franchise directly. We had questions we needed answered and needed to make changes and that was a bit of a pain. The excuse was that they are very busy this time of year. So I guess there's that.

This was great! Emailed and actually received a phone call shortly after which is becoming very rare after Covid because people think they don’t have to do anything anymore. Called and gave me a quote which was very reasonable and actually picked up a garage door that I was donating to Habitat for Humanity. The guys were very professional and did a great job.

Kevin, Victor & Kingston hit it out of the park for us. They were on time Professional and courteous even during the heaviest of the furniture. My only point of improvement would be to give the team more appropriate equipment when moving gun safes. This team did a great job with my safe but they really had to work hard. I would highly recommend CH to others.

We hired the College Hunks GR crew to move our things to our new house. We had sold our previous home and were staying with my in-laws and most of our things were downstairs in their basement. It was very easy to get an appointment and get scheduled. The staff was both helpful and friendly. Mike and Devin S called and actually showed up early to our moving appointment. Mike and Devin S were an incredible moving team. They were both professional and handled all of our things with extreme care. They were a true "white glove" service. Mike and Devin S started in the early afternoon and worked until almost 10 pm on a beautiful 80 degree Friday night. Neither of them complained once about giving up their Friday night. I would recommend the College Hunks GR team to anyone. They moved everything WITHOUT ANYTHING getting damaged or broken.

Bought new furniture and had to dispose of our old furniture. They were recommended by our salesperson at Talsma. Called on a Monday morning and scheduled for the following afternoon. Appointment was between 4 pm and 6 pm. Got a call about 3:45 letting me know they would be at my home at 4:15. Both young men were friendly and quickly took my old furniture apart and hauled it away.

We had a nightmare of a move. We were not given our keys until a day late and all our belongings were already on the truck. These guys held our stuff in the trucks, although they had another job to do the next day. Next day came and we did not get our keys until after 10am. They were at the new house unloaded and set up beds. Never once did I hear a complaint from any of them Very professional crew and they did everything they could for us. The front office should certainly know that and be proud.

This was my first time using a professional movers. I felt like their prices were reasonable. My move was for July 24th 2020.in Wyoming Mi. When they arrived at 8:45 a.m.. they after the walk-through they had informed me that they had to go back and get tools because they did not know they were to disassemble the bunk bed all the information that they had was that it would be 70 boxes. Which was not what I told the operator who the set up the appointment, I told her she if they would have to disassemble a bunkbed, and they were close to 70 boxes and totes altogether. That was fine because it was off the clock. When they returned they started to move 2 hours and I was informed that they will have to make two trips. I was upset the truck was big enough for a four-bedroom house plus Appliances. This was going over my price point then I was informed that I would need to pay for 3 mattress protectors wish came out to $30. I believe that this was a hidden cause. that was not mention early on in the contract. After everything was moved into my new apartment one of the other movers asked me if I had the instructions on how to put the bed back together. I was livid they're my daughter's bedroom set in her new bedroom like a pile of firewood. Not to mention I was Finding screws and pigs everywhere. in the parking lot on the sidewalk. they were handed them to me in my hand. This was absolutely the worst experience ever. I called and complained to the manager. About the hidden cause about the second trip and about my daughters bunk bed. I finally got a callback two Days Later. From the manager who personally apologize and wanted to come over to put the bed together. It took two days because they had to go to the hardware store and buy more screws. They also gave me a discount because of the second trip. And the mattress protectors. I was satisfied because they came back and fix the problem. And gave me a discount. I would definitely use them again.

I appreciate that two guys were available, willing and able to come on the day I called. I received a "real person" on the phone immediately. The person who answered the phone gave me an approximate arrival time of 12:30pm (to allow for the guys to grab lunch between jobs). They arrived by noon. Polite, clean, pleasant to talk with but did not spend too much time being chatty. Clearly there to get the work done. Seemed that whatever I asked them to move was "just fine, no problem." I am renovating my lower level, and needed all items moved to the garage for storage during construction. They moved boxes, dressers, mattresses, bags of pillows and bedding, book shelves, exercise equipment, TV and stereo units, chairs, boxes of dishes -- you name it, they moved every item. No guilt involved about the amount of items to be moved. They were here to get the job finished and to make sure I was satisfied. I will definitely call again when the renovation is completed and it's time to move items back to lower level of home. NOTE: Be clear when you call regarding size of items and whether you need more than two people. Bottled water, lemonade, ice tea, etc. are appreciated. Cash tips are appreciated. They were exactly what I hoped for, and I will refer them to others and call them when I need items moved again. Satisfaction level a 10+.

They did a relatively good job, were pleasant to work with. The bad: not very careful at all. Finding a lot of scratches, gouges and items damaged. Instead of taking the time to ask how to properly take something apart, they man handled it. Our two piece bed frame was folded in half and bent completely out of shape. Couch armrest mangled, massive scratches in dining room table, boxes crushed etc. Someone picky would have a total fit. Clearly not professional movers, but I should’ve expected it.

They were very friendly and fast. The only complaint I have is that a bookshelf broke (not a problem) moving into our new home and the broken pieces were left outside our apartment on the grass. Overall very great service though. Five stars if it wasn't for that. Still highly recommend.

This was the easiest, smoothest experience. I moved last weekend and there a lot of trash left at the new house. I found the College Hunks website and within ten minutes if chatting had booked a pickup time for the very next morning. The guys came and swiftly took all the trash away. Had a variety of items that needed hauled away. Bathtub, showers walls, some stone block, lots of wood molding, and a basketball hoop pole connected to a concrete base about 2.5 feet in diameter. It was heavy. Called College Hunks. They gave a quote over the phone and firmed up the quote upon arrival. They quickly loaded everything and dropped their truck box to get the basketball pole in and they were done. Email and verbal confirmation from start to finish. If I need junk hauled in the future, I know who to call. Great service.

Absolute LIFE SAVERS! Had them scheduled to help me load the big stuff in PODS , but I had a little one that was sick all week so I was struggling getting my packing done, so I called for and within an hour I had 3 people here helping me get packed (I paid for it...so it wasn't a courtesy) the day before the movers came. Very polite, very professional. I had no problem with anything being damaged. Hard workers and got the job done well in about 1/2 of the quoted time. We ordered three hunks on short notice only two days before a move after a family member got sick and was unable to assist. We used homeadvisor to find a moving service and within 2 minutes Colllege Hunks called and I had them booked at a fair rate. They were precisely on time the day of the move, they were very friendly, and worked fast. The move consisted of starting at my parents to load appliances, then going 1/2 hour cross town to empty a large 23' storage unit. They filled up their 26' truck and a large motorcycle trailer my dad brought. Then we went to the new house a few minutes away to unload. All in all they worked very hard for 6 hours, and we are grateful for the help. Well worth the money.
