I had the best experience on moving day! Who can say that? My team of movers (Jerry S., Cristian S., and Joseph M.) was so professional. They started out walking through our home taking inventory and addressing my concerns. Then they got right to work, bubble wrapping, padding, and loading our furniture. I repeatedly overhead them talking, and someone would say something like "I don't feel good about that", and then they would talk through a solution. They worked quickly and efficiently. After transporting our load to the new house, we again did a walk-through and talked through placement. I asked for assistance with applying floor protector pads on furniture and they were more than accommodating. They ensured that each item was placed where I wanted. We misplaced a set of pegs for a piece of furniture and the team hit the hardware store to replace them! (*above and beyond*). I truly think I got the best moving team in the world! Highly recommend!

Marvin, Joe, and Mitchell were amazing! They were prompt, pleasant, helpful, friendly, communicative on every level and were happy to move and place things where we wanted. The price ended up being more than 500 less that the estimate so that was a good thing too. I highly recommend tmt! Way to go guys! Give em a raise! :-) The office staff was also above and beyond. Sharon answered my endless emails and ensured that there was nothing left to chance. I forgot the names of the folks on the team (moving brain 😂) but they were so fast, careful, and communicative! They made it stress free by wrapping my pieces that needed it, protecting my floors at my new home, and double checking on things when needed. The folks I worked with before the move were great too. After contacting several other local movers, I recently selected the Urbandale Two Men and a Truck team to move a large heavy specialty item. It was a good decision. From my initial contact with them through completion of the move everyone I dealt with was professional, helpful, and willing to ensure that the job was done right. They may not be the least expensive option, but you get what you pay for.

Honestly, the best experience involving my move to date. These men were not only personable, and professional, but they also were very adaptive to the scenario, very polite, and all around completely helpful. The office helped make this happen on very holiday/late notice, and were so attentive and respectful and just wonderful people, Sur dpcifically . What a pleasant surprise when I received a call that my move would be earlier in the day. There had been a snow fall and more predicted later in the day. I was very happy with the team right up until I paid the bill. The movers said that instead of charging $75 for a box to ship my TV in,they would wrap it up and would not charge me the $75. Guess what,they charged me for it. I think Two Men A Truck owes me $75. Please let me know when I can expect that money back.

The time it took them to get everything loaded and moved to the new house was amazing, and when you’re paying the service by the hour, those minutes matter. They exceeded my expectation and my move actually came under budget due to their efficiencies. Even when something needed to be relocated, the team did it without hesitation. I would definitely use The service again, however I don’t plan on moving again for at least another 20 years! 😉

The three men that moved me were beyond amazing. I could honestly not imagined for better. They were not only professional but hardworking and kind. They were truly a blast to be around. I had back surgery a year ago and could not do much. They were absolutely amazing. Not only did they take a bunch of stuff to my storage unit, but they walked up three flights of stairs with heavy furniture, beds, dressers, and many boxes all with a smile on their faces. I could not have asked for a better experience. The young men that helped me not only deserve praise but also a raise, I will from this day on recommend this company based solely on them. I have over 25 yrs in retail and I would hire them in a second based on the 5 hrs I spent with them. The showed true professionalism, kindness, and a passion for their job. We hired Two Men and a Truck to move a few of our heavier items to our new house. Overall, the movers were friendly, efficient, and worked hard. One of the items we needed moved was an upright piano. I asked if they thought it would be feasible to get the piano down the stairs and into the basement, otherwise a room on the main level would be fine. After looking at the stairs, they confirmed it could be put it in the basement. In fact, when first lifting the piano, they commented about how this piano would be much easier to handle than other pianos. While beginning to lift the piano down the stairs, one of the movers made rude comments not knowing I could hear. “Screw this thing. No one plays piano enough to make this worth it. And wanting it in the basement….?” I stepped in and again told them that if it wasn’t feasible to move the piano to the basement, the main level would be fine. They continued moving it to the basement. I didn’t confront them about the comments and was nothing but pleasant and thankful to the men completing my move, but I was really disappointed and bothered by this one mover. It made me feel really uncomfortable around them after that. I understand the piano is heavy - that’s why I’m paying you $225/hour to help me and why we hired an additional third mover. It’s your job. Oh, and they also broke the leg off of the piano and put a big dent in the wall. Unfortunately I hadn’t brought my husband up to speed about the issues we encountered and he gave them a generous tip upon their completion. I will not be using Two Men and a Truck in the future.

I have used these guys three times, and they are spectacular! They are VERY careful in wrapping and padding. Have never caused damage to the house or the goods. When they arrive, they get right to work and don't take rest breaks unless they have moved something really, really heavy (that would put me on the couch for hours). The office staff is excellent, as well. Professional, detail oriented. They call a couple of days in advance to confirm. I am thoroughly sold on this company and will use no one else!

I needed to have my grandmother's piano moved and I'd only heard good things about Two Men & a Truck, so I figured I'd pay a big fee to protect this heirloom...but it wasn't nearly as expensive as I had anticipated! Excellent value and pretty dang affordable. The office team was friendly and helpful, making everything clear so I knew exactly what to expect the day of the move. The movers were communicative, efficient, and friendly. We got the receipt via email immediately afterward, just as they said we would. From start to finish, they were super-easy to work with. Very professional and efficient service all around! From the first call to the customer service line to set up assessment, to the actual assessment visit, to follow up from customer service, setting up move dates, confirmation of move & last minute question handling to the actual movers showing up and doing a top notch job. So extremely satisfied with all aspects and the employees who we worked directly with. We had 2 trucks & 4 men for our move. The team, Tae, Derek, Marcus & Dominique were courteous, professional and hard working. Our move day, team left office at 8am, and left our new house at ~7:45 with another ~30 minute drive back to office. A long day for them, but no complaints and no mood swings all day from any of them. Hard workers eager to do a pleasing job for their customers.

I always call Two Men and a Truck when I need helping moving items around my house or in and out of my home. Called them in the spring to empty out some bedrooms for junk day in the city. Then this fall I called them to move all my patio and porch furniture into winter storage mode for me. They do a great job, work hard and fast and ask questions to make sure I am getting things done the way I want them completed. I asked them to leave my grill closest to the door so I could access it in the event I wanted to use it this winter. Extremely helpful and easy to work with. The whole team from office to the field was FANTASTIC! 10/10 would do again and highly recommend. The whole process from getting a quote to officially moving and paying was smooth and easy. The office was friendly, polite, responsive, and forthcoming with information. The field team was even better! It was a 2nd dispatch move from one 3rd floor apartment to another 3rd floor apartment - no elevator. They were on time and willing to work with me when I had to slightly adjust the time they came. When the men arrived, they came up, looked around asked what needed to go and went right to it. It actually took less time than was estimated and if I was concerned about any of my furniture or boxes, they listened and adjusted what they were doing. The guys were awesome to be around. They had camaraderie and were fun to be around. They kept the mood light hearted, which was perfect. They clearly knew what they were doing and were professional. They were so good and awesome that my parents, whom are out-of-state and helping me move, said they would be calling when they move. It was a stressful time for me, since I had been in a car accident not long before the move and thanks to Two Men and a Truck, the move was stress free. I'm very thankful for them and I will use them again without a doubt.

My move required packing a truck and a half and then unloading my items into 2 storage units. I used this company to assist a client of ours moving some equipment from one location to another. Unfortunately in my industry, things change quickly for reasons out of our control and our reservation had to be rescheduled twice, one time the day before scheduled service. This location was wonderful to deal with, professional, courteous, friendly and timely. I spoke with at least four different reps throughout this scheduling process and everyone was wonderful. For reasons out of our control our move was cancelled after the movers showed up so I did not get to see the move to completion, but the movers DID show up on time and were courteous, ready and prepared. The office staff was great, they were very helpful in getting me prepared for the movers to come. I had them move my piano from the basement of one house, down the road a couple miles to a new house. It was wrapped and packaged safely in the truck for the move and they worked efficiently to get it exactly where I wanted it in the new space. It required 3 movers (for the size of piano) and it took them 2 hours total (from the time they left their office until the time they returned). I was given the option to pay with cash, check or card and they thoroughly explained everything I needed to sign (which was handy on their iPad). This was a seamless, easy, friendly process. I had always moved my self (with friends help and a truck rental) but this time Two Men And A Truck were recommended and I am so glad I hired them. Both the men and the office staff who set up my move were all very professional. I had been dreading this for some time but they made it easy ... no stress. They even suggested loading some items I was going to haul myself in my car. What a life-saver they were. Total time of the move was under four hours.

They were able to move us 250 miles away in two days. We had the same crew from start to end. The quote given to us was honored even when our weight was over the truck limit and two trucks were needed. The moving men were great the first day. They were experienced, were able to work the whole time, and did a good job packing on the first day. The original quote had the move at three days and we were prepared for that. However, the movers were eager to get it done in two days. So much so that they worked well into the evening both days. And while they worked through it, it was obvious they were fatigued. And after they were fatigued, mistakes started to happen. On top of this, we had a dog and a 3 year old and had plans to keep them out of the houses during the day but did not have a plan for the evenings. The dog and small kid added to the problems. Lastly, there was audible disgruntlement with supervisors about the repacking into two trucks after we arrived at the new house. No damage happened to the house we moved out of. But some damage happened to the place we moved into. Two men did compensate for the damage after the fact. The care of moving items around the house degraded. The material packed early on the first day was undamaged. Several days after the move, we found the stuff packed in the evening that did get damaged. This included keepsakes that were put into a box with enough weight on top to break them. And display cases with cracked glass. Dirt was brought onto the carpet. Overall, I would still recommend them. No move I have ever done went without any problems and this one had only a few. But I think there was, in my opinion, misplaced incentive to work extra hours that caused those problems. Especially when the plan was way ahead of schedule.

Move took nearly 12 hours. I went through every room with them over the phone and was originally given a quote of $900-1100 and told I would have 3 movers. 2 showed up on day of move and they gave me a revised estimate of $1200-1300 once they were actually in our house but they didn't request a 3rd mover. They estimated an 8-9 hour move with 2 loads. At 1:30pm they finally asked for 3rd mover and at 4:30pm they hadn't even finished the 1st load. I had to step in and ask how they thought they would get the rest done on time. The lead mover had no clue what time it was and only at that point did he realize they were going to go way over even the revised estimate. I had to ask them to just move the rest of the load into our garage instead of into the house to cut down on time and they still went 3-4 hours over estimate. The final cost ended up being close to $1,830.00 for a 3 bedroom house with an unfinished basement AND we still had to move half our stuff out of the garage into the house. The movers worked hard for the most part but NOT well managed and very poor at estimating and managing time.

I just moved in my apartment today. The two movers were courtesy and kind. They wrapped everything tightly and managed to move everything in efficiently. They also explained the procedures and liabilities throughly to me before moving it in as well as during the moving process if something couldn't be moved. These guys will get your all belongings in a safe manner, they even pulled my long couch over my third floor balcony without damaging anything! They are willing to set all your end tables, night stands, and dressers exactly the way you want it. I would definately recommend this company for anyone moving from 2 hours away :).

Excellent! From start to finish the entire process was conducted professionally and courteously. The items were packed perfectly! We had delicate dishware and wine glasses and the packaging and care put into each item was exquisite! When we unpacked there was not one single item damaged! That goes for the furniture also. They put floor runners down so they won't damage your floors. They ask where every box and piece of furniture goes when unloading at your destination. I can't say enough. I would use them again above any other moving company! Perfect!
