Wow, Just WOW! The personal service from Harvest Academy Movers was FANTASTIC! The truck showed up a few minutes before, to verify the address and accessibility. They arrived and introduced the crew, Troy, Marshall, and Quintin. Then they got right to work processing a plan then packing us up. Poor guys, it was pouring rain. They wrapped, blanketed, and secured all our belongings with precision and care. Some of the items were extremely heavy (girls large bedroom set and husbands huge cherry wood desk). There were a LOT of stairs (see picture of one set) involved, tight doorways, and even one window (full size shuffleboard went through). The movers were organized, efficient and worked tirelessly for almost 12 hours straight. The price is incredible for the benefit we received from these three amazing men. Thank you, Guys! Choose to use this company for any moving needs. They will exceed your moving expectations!

Had Harvest Academy Movers help me out with a short move. The guys are FANTASTIC and work QUICKLY and CAREFULLY. They communicated with me throughout the move, prepared their game plan, and worked with such diligence-something you don’t see much of today. They had plenty of stairs to climb at the new house, and sprang like rabbits the entire time. They worked nonstop without a break. They also shared their testimony with us about their troubled past and how Harvest Academy has been there for them in their hour of need. I stumbled upon this organization when looking for a company to help move very heavy sports equipment. I am so grateful for to have found them. Will definitely be calling them for the rest of the move. These young men all take pride in doing their jobs and are so very polite and respectful. Would definitely RECOMMEND these men and this company. You won’t be sorry for this decision and you will recommend them as highly as I do! GREAT JOB GUYS!

I was extremely happy I chose Harvest Academy Movers for our move! Troy, Quinton and Justin were an amazing moving crew! They were punctual, communicated with us their plan for the day and asked us questions and made sure we were happy the way things were going throughout moving day. If your are ever in need of movers, look no further!!! I am so pleased with Harvest Academy Movers! They did an absolutely wonderful job helping my husband and I move into our new place. They maintained excellent communication with us as well as amongst each other during the move. We had an amazing experience with Harvest Academy Movers when they helped pack and move our 2br house. We were nervous before our big move, but these guys really helped take the stress out. They were on time, respectful, very efficient, and kept a great pace and attitude all day. They even helped disassemble and move our very heavy treadmill. Harvest Academy Movers helped my parents move from a home they lived in for 30 years to a condo. They were energetic, careful, and kind. They helped my parents for 7.5 hours and worked hard! Harvest Academy made moving into my first home a stress free experience. Very professional team and flexible with what we wanted to have moved. We had some things we still needed to pack and once we had it packed they were more than happy to add it to the truck. We had all of our big stuff moved out and into our new home in less than 4 hours and saved us a lot money. The day of our move our original moving company contacted us to say that they wouldn’t be able to send anyone over due to a lack of manpower. We then contacted Harvest Academy Movers with short notice, who were able to send a team to help us the same day. I can’t recommend this company highly enough. All of the staff was professional, friendly, and efficient. The manager, William, was great and called me back within an hour to give me a quote and to answers all my questions. He got me scheduled right away since I was on a very tight deadline for my move.The quote was competitive with several other Des Moines movers but the customer service and the company mission swayed me to select them. I am so glad I did! The moving team, Troy and Win, were the best! They were super efficient and very competent. I have never had a better team for any of my many moves over the past thirty or more years, including those by nationally known companies. The price quoted was exactly what I was charged, with no surprises or extra charges. This is a very trustworthy company and they hire wonderful staff. From the minute the 3 gentlemen walked into my door to the old place, to the minute they left our new place, they were nothing but polite, efficient and fast. George, Dave and Cal were careful with all of our items, let me know if they thought there was a problem with anything and were the most respectful & polite movers I’ve ever had. We needed them to move a full upright (Yamaha U2) up two small flights of stairs with an incredibly tight landing in between. Our first movers didn’t want to attempt it but these guys got it done. We were not home when they did it, but the person who stayed said they were very nice and ended up just carrying a 500lb piano up the stairs. Very nice management and easy people to work with. We did not think this would get done but are thankful they figured it out.

The three young men who arrived to move a heavy bed in my condo, exceeded all expectations by calling before arriving, being courteous, quick and respectful of my condo so not to damage anything and clean and friendly. My wife and I moved residence today. With everyone moving in August we had a difficult time securing a truck with really any moving company. Harvest Academy Movers came through with movers (labor) to help load and unload our rental truck with such care and organization. It gave us such peace of mind to know our things were being cared for as much as we cared for them. We were treated with such professionalism every step of the way. They showed up on time, we’re in professional attire and we’ll groomed. They even came up to me and took me to show me an almost unrecognizable mark they had put on the wall. The 6-man crew who came to move us were amazing!!! We've never had a moving crew who were so polite, concerned about making sure our belongings and homes were taken care of (ie. Maneuvering furniture so it didn't ding or gouge walls), and willing to go the extra mile!! They moved a huge playset and riding lawn mower and were diligent and respectful. Highly recommend!! Hired to move my Mom and WOW. They were extremely efficient and polite. Even called to tell me that they were running 15 minutes behind. I told them they didn't need to run while completing the move, and they said that they were used to it. Considering we paid by their time, I was extremely pleased. They also have a story. I have used HAM twice since June. On this must recent move which was done entirely professionally, with humor & grace & respect for me & co-workers, Marshall shared his journey. He spoke honestly, forthrightly, and unashamedly about his past with substance abuse & incarceration. Halfway through his story, I felt myself tearing up. It was so direct & heartfelt. Their leader, Troy was a great role model. This is an organization which should be the model for drug/alcohol rehabilitation in this country. All this done on a warm day with lots of heavy lifting. It didn't even phase them. I love these guys! Congrats HAM for all u are doing to turn lives around.

They encountered a safe that was heavier than normal but figured out how to remove the door and move the safe up the stairs and into the moving truck. Timely, efficient, and well under the cost of other movers that placed bids. Didn’t realize they were a nonprofit. A big plus in my book. I will make additional donations to their organization as I love their cause. I’d highly recommend Harvest Academy Movers. If you're over 35, hire Harvest. You're friends are too old. Nobody wants to slip a disc for pizza and 2 bud lights.

Harvest Academy Movers made my last move so painless! Everyone hates moving, but these gentlemen did such a fantastic job that it really made this the easiest move I have ever done. They did arrive late, but to be fair, it was -8 degrees outside that morning (Jan 21st) and they had a hard time getting the truck to start. So, it wasn't their fault. What I liked was that Isaac N., the team leader, was in contact with me the whole time. He communicated what was going on and gave me updated time estimates along the way, so I felt he handled the issue very well. In addition, I was moving from Oskaloosa up to Des Moines, so they drove over an hour to get to me to begin the move. The time for which I was charged didn't begin until they arrived at my house in Oskaloosa, which I thought contributed greatly to the already superior value of the services. The price for the overall move was very reasonable and couldn't be beat by any other company in Des Moines (I checked). Isaac brought two other movers with him, Dave H. and Troy R. All three of them did an excellent job. Very professional and courteous not only to me but towards each other as well. They worked well as a team. Everyone seemed to know their role and perform it efficiently. They were very careful with my items, and even helped individually load my MANY plants. The truck had plenty of space, so everything was able to be loaded and transported in one trip. Unloading on the Des Moines end of the move was just as easy breezy as loading on the Oskaloosa end. Working at a very high level of efficiency, these three gentlemen were able to complete my entire move in only 4 1/2 hours, including the drive up from Osky to DSM. Since they charge in 15-minute increments, I was charged for the amount of time it actually took, instead of a whole extra hour, which again contributed to the value. At the end of the move, Isaac explained to me some of the background of Harvest Academy and the work they do to serve men in the community who are in need of adequate food, housing, life skills, and job training. After hearing about how this organization changed the lives of Isaac, Troy, and Dave, I felt even better about the money I spent for the service I received. I already felt that I got a great price for the amount of work they did for me, but knowing that money went to a good cause just reinforced my feeling that I hired the right movers for the job! Overall, I was extremely impressed with this company and the individual movers who helped with my move. From calling and arranging the move, to actually moving, and then hearing about the impact of this business on the non-profit organization supported by it, my experience with Harvest Academy Movers was overwhelmingly positive! I would hire them again in a heartbeat! I couldn't have asked for a better company or employees to work with. And the fact that they did all of this on one of the coldest days of the year just goes to show that they will show up and get the job done no matter what! If you are looking for help moving, look no further! P.S. They do not charge a deposit, and they do offer a military discount!
