Reasonably priced movers, and the lowest of all I checked with. I emailed and got a call, then a confirmation email and was able to give them a list of items and more info. Tyann and Jacob were great. They were both polite & efficient. They disassembled my desk with monitors after not being able to get it through the doorway as is. Unexpected, but no extra charge (thank you!) They also wrapped things in blankets. I paid by check, and gave cash tips. I would definitely use them again.

We recently moved with Moving Ahead Services and had a great experience with the crew. Raymond, Clayton and Brent were incredible- very communicative, careful and professional. They went above and beyond to move a clunky sleeper sofa into an upstairs room I wanted it in at our new house when I honestly didn’t think it would fit. They treated all of our things with extra care and triple checked that everything was exactly where we wanted it before they left. We’ve moved a handful of times and this is one of the best experiences we’ve had. We’d highly recommend Moving Ahead!

Robert, Nate, and Rahawn were fantastic. They were quick, efficient and very professional. All of my furniture was wrapped and cared for in transit, and arrived in the condition it left. They were extra careful not to damage the wood floors or walls when moving items into the new home. Would recommend.

Recently moved out of a 3 story brownstone. Raymond, Jeremy, and Jimmy showed up and were beyond professional. They carried an air of enthusiasm and made the experience feel great. They cared for every bit of my furniture. Proactively wrapped items to ensure their safety, and did so with a smile. This is the second time I've used them, and I cannot recommend them enough. I can not say enough good things about Moving Ahead Services. On 9/15/2021 & 9/16/2021 I had a grandfather clock moved from Cincinnati to Columbus. Great care needed to be taken when moving this clock that was my late father’s so it has much sentimental value as well. Will and Ray were assigned to the move. They were so positive, professional and so determined to make sure to take the utmost care. Plus they worked GREAT as a team! They called the office if they had any questions. They explained everything and were most polite and personable. I looked for 2 months to find a moving company I felt would be the right fit and the communication and details Moving Ahead Services provided was stellar! Super efficient service! Our movers arrived perfectly on time and were done moving about 15 boxes and 15 pieces of large furniture into our 3rd floor apartment 3 miles away in 2 hours. Jaylen and Malik were experts in packing the truck and moving items up 4 flights of stairs quickly and safely. Quite honestly, it was really impressive to see. My roommates and I are very thankful that we chose movers to help us out, and we couldn't be more grateful for Jaylen and Malik!

The crew that moved us was on time, professional, respectful, and just overall wonderful. They arrived on time and moved our things without any incidents. Items that were valuable or fragile, they ask about before moving and were very careful in moving them. When we called to schedule our move we were able to get movers within a weeks notice. The cost to move was estimated less than other movers that we contacted. It was overall an excellent experience. We will definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

From start to beginning was a very professional experience. They are very clear with & during the entire process! Price is very reasonable for the service that I received! Our first time hiring a moving company, we were very nervous. Unfortunately we were also on a tight schedule - old job ended 3 days before the lease ended - and we had to move out of state for the new job, so 3 days to pack everything out, drive 4 states away, and then move it. To make it worse, it was a holiday weekend in the middle of summer. We had almost no hope anyone would be able to help us. Not only did Moving Ahead help us, but they were FANTASTIC! Called them about the situation and not only were they very professional and responsive, they were kind and understanding and communicated with us throughout the whole process. Andre was wonderful when he came for the in-home assessment, gave us great tips on how to box things up and helped us estimate what size truck we would need. Jeremy - who eventually drove us to our new home - went above and beyond. Packed all our stuff up securely, even helped us wrap up a few things we didn't know how to wrap up, and then got our stuff half way across the country right on time. Texted us with updates on his progress, was very accommodating with a last-minute time change (we found out our new home wouldn't be able to give us the keys on time) and had us unloaded in less than 2 hours - and all on a holiday weekend in the summer. Not a single scratch or missing box, which is kind of a miracle because we aren't the best packers....I can't say enough about these folks or recommend them strongly enough, they really made a horrible situation so much more manageable and even pleasant. I am particularly happy I chose them because a bunch of my coworkers who also moved around the same time across country went with some other moving companies and 6 months later their stuff still hasn't arrived.

Great I recently needed to hire a moving company for a relocation from the Medina area to the Columbus area. I contacted 3 companies, Leaders, American Van Lines and Moving Ahead Services. I choose Moving Ahead Services because they were not going to add an additional charges for tearing down exercise equipment, e.g. treadmill, elliptical, sauna, as well as book cases that needed to have molding removed and a tear down of a Theatre room. Also, their price was the best and they really took time with us prior to move. Kayla always checked in each month to see if our home sold to see if we needed to schedule our move. I needed to do two moves, one to an apartment until a home became available to purchase and our items went into storage that were not being moved into the apartment. The home was 6,000 square feet and this was a large move. Chris the manager came to meet with me prior to the move so we could go over the move prior to move day. He took time after to work to drop boxes off so I could save money on packing. This was very helpful. He continued to follow up on the days the movers were at our home. Scott was the crew leader and did an excellent job, he called me prior to arriving to let me know they were on their way. When they arrived they toured the home and Scott assigned each of the movers to the room they would be responsible for packing. The movers names were Scott, John, Jameson, Aaron Carp, Anthony, James A. James B and Chris (Bear). They were excellent. I bought them lunch and drinks and they only took 10 min to eat. They did not even sit down, they just kept moving to get the packing completed. They were clean and neat and very professional, but most of all polite. They worked very hard and never stopped. Scott took time at the end to go over the invoice and explain all the charges and this was very helpful. I look forward to working with this crew when I my items come out of storage and move into my next home. I highly recommend Chris, Scott, Jameson, Aaron Carp, Anthony, James A., James B and Chris (Bear). They were awesome and I cannot say enough nice things about these gentlemen.

Long distance move from VT to MD was smooth; excellent service and good people. They were great to work with, very organized and professional while keeping the mood light to help with a very stressful move. We shopped around and they had the best price for the services offered, we packed the boxes but they loaded, drove and unloaded the truck. We loved knowing that our belongings were staying in their hands the whole trip. While other companies said it may take a week to get our belongings, they handled the move in just 3 days from pick up to unload. Fantastic people, great price, highly recommend!

From my initial phone call through the whole move, I had a great experience. I did a lot of research on my end, and Moving Ahead Services seemed the most reasonable and very professional. I like the fact that I actually talked to a live person, she made the process very easy! I had three gentlemen come for the move, Nate, Brandon, & Sam. They all did a great job and were super speedy. I'm not one to write many reviews, but I felt my experience with Moving Ahead Services (MAS) warranted some recognition. This was a big move for our family of six and there was lots to do! Travis, Jeremy S., Thaddeus, Sidney, Jaylen, and Iseah were a pleasure to be around all day. They had great camaraderie and work ethic from beginning to end; which probably saved me from paying more for a second day of services. We just finished building our home days before the move and were naturally very concerned about walls, flooring, etc. being damaged and or stained from all the moving traffic. Much to our delight, the guys managed the moving process with the utmost care and attention and left our home just as they found it. I would absolutely recommend MAS for your moving needs! Wayne and Jeremy were excellent. We really appreciate their work. I highly recommend that you use this company. They were efficient and fast! We moved on the third floor which made the move that much harder. All of our furniture is heavy wood and it was moved without a scratch. I am thankful for them. My sister is a military veteran that suffers from PTSD and they were extremely patient and very nice to her. I really cannot express in words how helpful and stress free that made things. We used Moving Ahead Services to shift some furniture, boxes and other items from our house into the garage (prep for donation) and from our basement to our 1st floor (prep for final move). Entire experience was pretty much flawless. From my initial phone call till everything was complete was nothing less than a stellar performance by a team of obvious professionals. My early conversations with Liz provided me with not only the info I was looking for and budgetary pricing, but a level of patience and genuine concern that was nothing short of amazing. Each contact with her was equally professional - I always felt like I was the most important person she was dealing with each time. Excellent and critical, since she was creating my first impressions about the company. Matt was equally professional and obviously very knowledgeable and experienced about the moving process. He offered excellent advice and suggestions regarding our desire to store much of our furniture at the time of our move. His recommendations ultimately resulted in cost savings to us. Lastly, the team that came to move our belongings (Thomas, Johnny and David) were clearly NOT rookies, each exhibiting not just knowledge about what needed to be done and how to do it, but again, a level of care and concern for what we were going thru and our belongings that rivaled any/all previous moving experiences we’ve had before. True professionals who were polite, caring and worked their tails off to get the job done in the most efficient & timely manner possible. We relocated from an apartment into a new home. We needed assistance moving our larger and bulkier items. Moving Ahead scheduled me at the time I needed. When there was a change to our schedule, they were able to accommodate without issue. They were in constant communication with me regarding the move and allowed me to add extra items at the last minute. The movers were available early and came to get things started. They were courteous, professional and took extreme care in prepping the space to ensure no damage occurred to the carpet/tile. The took extra care in wrapping all items as well. They were very efficient and we had no damage to our property that was being moved or to the house/apartment. Having been a military family and moving 15 times over the last 20 years, I can guarantee you they are exceptional in taking care of the customer and their property! If the need ever arises, I will without a doubt call them again!

Turns out there was no reason for me to worry, the guys were on time and did very quick work while still being careful with all our furniture and boxes. Moving Ahead was really great to work with! We were really impressed with how quickly and efficiently the 2 guys who moved us were. They were able to carry a lot of weight on their own. There were a couple issues... HOWEVER the company took full responsibility and reimbursed us for part of the cost of the move. They did not make excuses and just immediately took ownership. I appreciate that. I'd hire them again!

We moved to our new home in December. This is the second time we've used Moving Ahead Services to get the job done. They quoted us a move time that seemed reasonable for the size of our house and 2 storage units. The guys who were assigned to do the move showed up on time and were very professional. They listened to everything we had to say and took very good care of all of our possessions. For everything that they moved, I only saw one tiny streak that they left behind on the wood floors, and that was easily cleaned up. The guys were note only efficient but they had a great attitude and were fun to be around. I would highly recommend using this company and their services.

First leg of moving out of our Powell Ohio with Gary and crew. Will not take possession of our new home for a few days and really hope we get Gary and the same crew for second leg. Very professional, hard working and courteous. Felt very confident in their commitment to customer satisfaction and it showed in their work and care with our belongings. They asked us several times during the day if we saw any problems/issues, were we satisfied and their interest felt genuine!. Every time we asked something specific about an article their answer was always "yes, of course we can do that". Never any attitude or conflict with them. I would highly recommend them to friends and family. Only issue we had was estimator missed the mark and needed third truck by the end of the day. Gary called and another truck was sent. Gary stayed to make sure the final truck was loaded and closed up garage door and cleaned up any trash from packing material before leaving. The home office also came through to make this issue good for us, so what potentially could have been a huge problem (everybody makes mistakes!) was handled professionally and courteously by all involved.

I am adding this to my review from four months ago. Once again, 5 stars go out to Moving Ahead. They just moved us into a temporary condo and I already told to them to plan on me calling them in Nov to move us into our new house. They are just fantastic to work with. We have used Moving Ahead Services in four different moves. One move from Cleveland to an apartment in central Ohio. The rest of the moves have been in the Lewis Center and Powell area of central Ohio. Each move has been handled very professionally. From quotes, (very accurate), scheduling (very timely), punctuality (they were always on time), and with NO damage to any of our furniture or belongings. We will continue to use them until we settle into our new house. I highly recommend using Moving Ahead Services.

We moved from our 4 bedroom house in OH to TN. Wasn’t sure what to expect as they are a local company and not one of the larger we’ll known moving companies. I received in home estimates from four different movers. Not only were they the best priced, but could also guarantee my delivery day and didn’t combine my items with anyone else. They were a young group of guys in there 20’s. That made me a little nervous. However, they were so personable and polite and got to work right away. They were eager to please, professional, and did a fantastic job. We had them fully pack and move us. My fragile items were extremely well wrapped and packed. All furniture was padded and shrink wrapped. They delivered on time without incident. I would highly recommend Moving Ahead.

The moving team was efficient and fast, and took care of our items the best way possible. Importantly, they were able to get our stuff from Cleveland to New Orleans 2 days later, which for us was crucial. We moved from Union, KY, to Omaha, NE, this past weeked (Jan. 4-5, 2019) with Moving Ahead Services. We cannot say enough good about MAS! They were careful, thorough, efficient, and pleasant. We have a grand piano and were very concerned that it not be damaged and that it be relocated without damaging our new apartment. Justin and Gary went out of the way to ensure that we were satisfied and that our piano was treated with kid gloves. We are both musicians and so appreciated that they took such good care of our 'baby'! We had almost no damages...only a dented metal wastebasket and a tiny chip on our buffet. We have had other moves that were painful and this move was a complete departure from past experience. We are so glad that we chose MAS. Should also mention Aaron who did the initial inventory and estimate. He was also thorough and pleasant. Also the office personnel were accommodating and helpful. Moving Ahead Services is topnotch!

I was incredibly lucky to find a legit company that was prompt and 100% professional at every stage: Ashley with the initial contact, survey (via skype which helped immensely)and quote; Dario with the contract; Johnny and David H. with the packing; and Wayne with coordination, inventory, driving, and basically being a super hero. Wayne is extraordinary. Words can't do him justice.The second he arrived I knew my move was in the best possible hands and my stress level plummeted. He was competent, professional, and respectful. Most important however he was genuine and authentic and honest so I didn't need to have my guard up. He said he'd arrive in the destination city, 25 hours away, on a certain day and time and he did. By contrast I've had long distance movers be days late at the destination city. With Wayne and Moving Ahead Services when they say it they do it. They don't lie to get a job. They are the best moving company I've ever dealt with. They have the best staff by far. So glad I found them.

The crew called 30 minutes prior to their arrival as promised to let me know they were on their way. They arrived on time and got to work immediately. I was impressed with the level of care they took to protect my furniture prior to moving it by wrapping them with moving blankets and then with shrink wrap. Once they got started they did not stop until they were finished. And they completed the move within the projected time frame! We hired Moving Ahead Services for a small move. We were moving out of a rental house to a house we had just bought, about five minutes away. Scheduling was fairly easy, with the only issue (the zip code had been incorrectly entered) being resolved by a couple of phone calls before the day of the move. Our movers were Marquice, Vlad, and one other gentleman whose name I can't recall (Sorry!). They were absolutely fantastic. They communicated well with both myself and themselves, moved the entire house (3 bed, 1.5 bath, plus a garage) in about 3 hours, and were extremely polite. They disassembled and reassembled the bed frame for us, and moved everything without any damages. All in all, definitely a 5-star experience; I'd highly recommend this crew, they were excellent.

Chris Curry and his crew - A+++++++!!! Absolutely loved the professionalism from Chris and the positive energy he radiates. Chris and his team (Ron & Darion) were the BEST. Chris kept us informed about the process the entire way through and gave us periodic check-in’s along the way to make sure that everything was going as expected for us. Chris went above and beyond by taking caution measures to protect our home as well. The day we moved it was snowy and wet. Chris laid down cardboard on the floor to make sure that it was kept dry and protected. He also padded the doorway as an extra safety measure. Chris never mentioned a word about these things but we definitely noticed and appreciated this extra special service. it was also bitterly cold and windy the day we moved, but Chris and his crew never once complained about the weather conditions. This is by far the best moving crew I have ever used and will definitely be requesting them again if we ever have to move again. We have used the company Moving Ahead two times now and would highly recommend them to anyone. The company was referred to us by a family member and we will be referring them to anyone else we know who needs such services. This company saved us when no one else could. We just moved across country and POD’s informed us on the day of delivery that they couldn’t deliver to our address. We spent 6 hrs going back and forth with them and found Move Ahead was able to help us. While PODs treated us like numbers in a system, the people at Move Ahead were so helpful and easy to work with. (EDITED after 2nd move): MOVE #2: I wish I could add another star! Few service businesses are as life impacting as a moving company; I feel very lucky to have found one I can trust. MAS moved me from a home to an apartment/storage situation last summer (review below). Yesterday, they facilitated the second step—my move from temporary housing into a condo. General manager, Matt Schrader, was upfront and specific with all the details and kept me well informed throughout the process. We had a different crew this time but the same terrific moving day experience (MAS obviously knows how to hire high quality employees). Gary, John, Dave, Maurice and Kyle gave exemplary service, thinking ahead to details I hadn't considered, and making helpful suggestions all the way through. The guys were efficient, hard working, respectful, and sooo good humored! The senior men were very knowledgable of the whole process (it was kind of interesting to hear them talk one another through tight corners to protect both walls and furniture) and the newer guys did great work as well. At the end, the bill was even lower than expected! When does THAT happen with a moving company? I've heard so many moving horror stories. After two somewhat complicated moves and face-to-face contact with at least 10 of their employees, I'm convinced that Moving Ahead Services (Columbus) is legitimately interested in giving the best service/price possible to their customers. Highly recommend! MOVE #1: After securing no less than seven estimates, I chose Moving Ahead Services for my downsizing move into a temporary apartment and storage unit. I based my decision on what I felt to be a more transparent estimate, the sense that the many and varied factors of my two-step move were heard and understood, and the company's reputation. I had many questions regarding best ways to economize on this first solo and non-company paid move. Other companies pressured, brushed off my more specific questions, and/or offered less value. Moving day could not have gone better. The crew was hard-working, kind, careful, and competent. I truly felt they were working for me and was pleasantly surprised to note a couple of the men running, despite the ridiculously humid heat (95 degrees), to help me beat the four hour time window. I recommend Moving Ahead Services without hesitation and hope my shared experience will ease the emotional and financial pressure for someone else approaching a similar life transition. I fully expect to use this company again as soon as I locate my next residence.

Two guys with the truck and 2 extra men, great job wrapping each piece of furniture with blankets for great padding. Prompt drop off and again quick unloading. Driver very careful positioning truck in driveway to avoid damaging surrounding trees and again at the drop off keeping truck off grass.

Wow, there are so many positives to list; I don't know where to start. I really can't think of any negatives. Go Moving Ahead! First, Jeff gave me a fair quote very promptly. It was't a lot more than my recent move from NYC to Cincinnati, and the distance is much greater, so it seemed like a good deal. I mentioned my Angie's List discount, and they honored it, even when I later told them that I may have underestimated how many items I had. Wow, impressive. Integrity from the get-go. Then I was handed off to Spensir, who was really great in so many ways. He was always super quick to respond to my emails, and we even chatted a few times on the phone. I probably drove him crazy with all my questions, but he always gave answers and good advice, often within a few hours! Once I even felt he was my temporary therapist. ha He alleviated much stress! Thanks for the moral AND logistical support, Spensir! I felt like the entire logistics/paperwork process was too easy to not be a scam. I had to be missing something, because how could moving be this simple? I've been lucky with all my previous moves in the sense that all the guys have been ethical, polite, and hardworking, but this company (and moving guys) took it to another higher level. It's going to be hard to live up to my new standard, future moving companies! heh I had Bob, Desmond, Ryan, and Joel in Cincinnati, with Joel being the guy who drove all the way to California. Joel came in a separate truck — the one used to load up my stuff. Every single guy was a total pro, very likable. They seemed genuinely interested in what I was doing out in Los Angeles, too. They were super appreciative of the food goodies we left for them and post-load tips. They chose to take the stairs (I'm on the 3rd floor) instead of the elevator, because the elevator was so far away from my apartment. I couldn't believe how quick they were, especially with many heavy items and stairs! I don't think they even really took a break?!?! They moved over 125 boxes, plus quite a bit of heavy furniture and miscellaneous items in under 2 hours! I had a 2 bedroom, but more stuff than the average 2BR. I think they were the quickest movers I have ever had, but they were also very careful. Nice combo! They seemed to get along really well with each other, too, which always helps the teamwork. A+. Thanks, guys! You are awesome. I reconnected with Joel in Hollywood and two other local guys. All of my stuff made it, and there really wasn't any damage! Again, Joel and the other two, Justin and Chris (and Moving Ahead dealt with finding local guys so I didn't have to worry about any of that), worked very hard and got everything moved in about an hour! Amazing. The two new guys were careful and polite, too. I had a nice chat with Joel after the move. I was actually sort of sad to see him go...he (along with everybody else) helped me out big time. He took care of all my belongings for many, many miles. He had a nice combination of professionalism (checked in with me to let me know how things were going -- all the reports were positive, he made perfect time...was always on track...) and laid-back ease. He seems like he could just roll with the punches and get the job done regardless of any potential obstacles, which is clearly a great quality to have as an employee of a company. Also, as a side note, great personality and hilarious! I have already had a few negative experiences in Los Angeles, but Moving Ahead sure made at least the moving part simple for me!!
