Another great experience with Two Men & A Truck! We’ve used them a few times now, for moving from house to house, storage to house, etc and always had great experiences. Website is very easy to navigate, their communication and follow-up is better than any company I’ve ever worked with. Prices are extremely reasonable. Best of all, every single person I’ve spoken to/emailed is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The movers were great—on time, professional, courteous. Moved very heavy pieces up narrow staircases and no damage at all. They were fast but there was no rushing, they were extremely careful. HIGHLY highly recommend them!!

This company is very accommodating, professional and fast. The movers have always been respectful and kind. I like that they offer insurance and a free insurance. They also take responsibility if anything is damaged. I haven't had any major issues with them and I've used them maybe 6 times already. Some pointers are to check your plastic bins that they don't crack them or pile them to high. No garbage bags are allowed on the truck. And if you have big items, request someone who can take a door off the hinge at scheduling.

I just moved between high rise apartments with Two Men and a Truck and I was shocked by how much easier they made my move. I can't believe how quickly it was able to be completed, especially considering I scheduled the move last minute (they were very flexible and accommodating). Jose and his team were extremely helpful with the move, and they went above and beyond to keep my furniture safe and to ensure that it was positioned exactly how I wanted it in my new apartment. I'll definitely be using Two Men and a Truck for all my future moves.

The 3 men that moved me were superb! They were gracious, kind, and very respectful with my belongings. The driver called and arrived on time and he explained every detail to me, even calling to ask supervisor/office a quick question before I signed my documents. They called about 15 minutes out and again when they arrived. They were very professional and easy to talk to. When they moved me into my new apartment they also helped me by putting the legs on my old television before leaving. everything was done very professionally. They wrapped up the loveseat to make sure there was no damage. And moved everything in a smooth transition without taking breaks. I would hire two men and a truck a second time. I would also tell my friends about the move.

The managers/coordinators were very communicative and responsive, and the movers Edgar and Anthony were super professional and careful. The guys were great! They were solid communicators in person answering questions and over text when coordinating pickup and drop off. They even dealt with all the weird building quirks that would seek to ruin an efficient move with aplomb—for example, they had to learn how to use a manual service elevator from the 1920s and were pros by the end of it. Overall, the job came in well under the time estimate and I’m grateful for their hard work for making that happen. Fast. Efficient. Thorough. Good guys to have on the job.

Great moving experience! I was so impressed with how quickly the movers were able to load and unload the truck at each location. They thoroughly wrapped each of my furniture pieces to keep everything safe and were even able to squeeze my large couch through a very tiny door! Highly recommend.

I hired Two Men and a Truck for my son's move and could not be happier with the experience. Communication was stellar -- I got a call 2 days before the move to confirm the appointment, and two calls the day of the move to alert me to exactly when the movers would arrive. Julius and Jeremy, our movers, were professional and friendly...and they did an outstanding job of moving my son out of a 2nd floor studio apartment (no elevator) and into the 3rd floor of a Chicago walk-up building on a very hot day. The quote you get from Two Men and a Truck might seem a bit higher than some other movers, but the professionalism and reliability you'll get from Two Men and a Truck is well worth any "extra" you'll pay.

Late in posting this review. I moved on April 21, 2022, emptying a post-divorce storage locker and dividing the contents between two different locations. It was a long and really stressful day, made.much worse when we realized that the locker had significant water damage and other really nasty issues. What should have been simple, turned into a disaster. The crew working with me - Alexander J and Juan Rodriguez - were FANTASTIC and kept an optimistic, can-do attitude the entire day. They were so professional and optimistic, it truly kept me from complete meltdown. (A big shout-out to their logistics managers, Julio and Will, for helping us out when things went south.) The move went as well as it could have. The guys were right on time. They were completely prepared. Everything arrived in one piece. They were very focused and made sure the belongings were delivered where they needed to be. I was just delighted with the service and support I received. Thanks, everyone!

If you ever need a moving company this the one. They are on time to very time. I've used them twice and both times they were very prompt. They are very professional. They wrap everything two or three times to make sure nothing gets scratch or broken. They helped with not only with my move but also helped moved thing in the house I moved into. This was an absolutely flawless move. The team was amazing. They were dealing with a mess of a snowstorm but still showed up and got everything packed and loaded quickly and carefully. We made it to the 2nd location in no time at all. Once everything was said and done it had barely taken 2hrs. Everything was shipped and unloaded with care, but it took about an hour longer than necessary. I feel like the job needs to be done based on volume, not time. [edit] All I care about is my move, and no one else’s. My move took 2 hours longer than estimated. They sat in the truck for 20 minutes between locations, and one of the movers disappeared towards the end of my move while the other one stalled. As far as training, they didn’t seem to understand the paperwork at all and kept having to flip between pages.

I had a generally positive experience with this company. Their office is very very responsive and answered multiple calls with questions. On the day of the move, the men were very quick and polite. My couch was stuck in the stairs of the new building and the company sent an extra crew to help without charging more. So overall everything got done and the administration of the company seems good. However, the movers did not bring their own tools or doorstops which was kinda ridiculous given how expensive their hourly rate is. I'm glad I read reviews beforehand and saw that this happened to someone else, so I kept my own tool kit and drill on hand. They had to use both. I'd say service is decent but maybe not quite worth the very expensive rate.

My entire experience with Two Men & a Truck was wonderful. When scheduling, the people over the phone were incredibly helpful, thorough, and professional. On moving day, my two movers were professional and very efficient. With some of my furniture being difficult to navigate out of my old building & into the new one, they figured it out while maintaining great attitudes. I noticed they also communicate well with each other to make sure they’re being thorough and safe. I had never used a moving company before this move & would definitely recommend them.

Honestly I am shocked!!!! These guys rocked my move!!! I hate moving as I think most people do, but honestly I had no complaints. All of my stuff arrived in one piece, in a timely manner, and with a good attitude. Julio, Larry, and Matthew were respectful, kind, hardworking, and left no scuffs, marks, or damaged any property in either of my buildings. I was very thankful for their service. There were 3 men--Victor, Alberto, and Mac who were great. Polite, professional, and careful with the furniture that needed to be moved. Also responsive and patient as they placed things exactly where and how I wanted them. The ding is not with the moving staff but the high admin charges for travel and insurance.

Moved from a house in the burbs to a condo in the city with 1/2 my stuff going into a storage locker. Carson and the crew did an amazing job! They shrink wrapped and blanketed everything and handled all my belongings with care. I had two trucks with seven guys, they were very efficient and kept moving the whole time. They stacked everything professionally and worked through some tight spaces with ease. I anticipated a stressful day but really was at ease how well things went. I made a lot of special requests and provided a lot of direction, all of which was received well by the crew members. They arrived promptly, communicated very well and finish before the estimated time which brought the cost in 10% below estimate. I strongly recommend Two men and a Truck!

Moving can be so stressful, but 2 Men and a Truck helped me get from point A to point B flawlessly!! From booking the move with Olivia and also working with Sylvia they kept me informed and catered to my every need up to move out day. Today Jeremy and his team showed up promptly and ready to go! Despite some elevator hiccups (not their fault) I was completely moved out and in at lightening speed! They took great care of my furniture and kept me informed throughout the whole process. This is my second time using Two Men & A Truck. I really enjoyed the service they provided. They showed up early and got my move done quickly and efficiently. Full disclosure, there were a few scratches on things, but the movers asked permission to not wrap the things that got scratched and that happens :-). I really enjoyed the process. The only challenge I had was playing phone tag initially with the person who scheduled my appointment, but when it got scheduled I had no issue.

From my first call to set up the move, the staff, including Phil and Brian, were very responsive and did everything to make sure my needs were met. Their phone and internet communications were excellent. On the moving day, Brian was my manager. He did a great job of making sure the movers were prompt. The team who performed the move were Carson and Santiago. They were friendly, professional, and did a terrific job. I am so impressed with the service I received from Two Men and a Truck! They arrived within the window I was given- and I was even contacted about it being within the second half of the window. The guys backed the truck into a VERY difficult driveway (and honestly made it look easy). They wrapped all of the furniture well, and everything arrived in tip top shape. Had a great experience with Two Men and a Truck. As this was my first time ever using movers, I was certainly concerned about the safety of all of my items, as well as the possible cost overages if they move went longer than expected. The mover team was extremely professional, taking great care of my stuff, and doing so in an extremely efficient manner, such that the move took even less time than initially expected. Their office staff was also great, touching base with me at the start of the move and again afterwards to ensure everything was going well. I highly recommend them and plan to use them for future moves. If you intend to use them, I would also call their office for the moving quote, as they provided a closer estimate than their online service gave me, which was pretty high compared to the quote and the actual cost.

We've never hired movers before and we were doing a larger move from the city to the suburbs. The team arrived on time and were friendly, professional, and fast. They took great care in moving our things, but were still somehow extremely efficient. We also had one VERY heavy piece of furniture, but using their tools and skills - it moved with such ease. The franchise I called mistakenly did not get our move scheduled and the truck did not show up. Thankfully another franchise was able to schedule same day service and got our move done. Three movers would probably have been better than two because they went an hour over the estimated time. The price we paid was still a good value for the time spent. The movers didn’t assemble a bed correctly but we noticed and were able to adjust it on our own before anyone slept on it. Overall I think they did a good job, were courteous, and worked hard on a hot day and we were their second move.

I am providing an update on my move. Although I definitely did not have a good experience with the moving crew, JOEL J. TROST called me the following day to hear me out and was gracious enough to try and help. They reduced the hours I was to be charged and offered to complete the rest of the job for free. So, I would say hopefully I just had a bad crew and bad customer service rep experience. Joel was a stand up and guy made things better for me from a financial stand point at least. If I could list no stars I would. Terrible, terrible. Never ever use this company. I have moved this same home (furniture)3 times. Never has taken over 5-6 hrs. 3-3 1700 sq ft. One of the guys seemded like he was high or drunk. This crew took over 9 hrs and wasn't even finished. I called customer service and they never anwered. Worse then that they never finished the job. Left my beds and furniture undone. One of the moving customer support finally called me and immediately hung up. Do yourself a favor. Use a quality company. This company is a pure fraud. We have disputed all charges and called the BBB!

This is by far the best moving experience I've ever had. Two movers completely emptied out my two bedroom apartment in around 2 hours. This included wrapping some of the big furniture items. The movers were positive, creative, and efficient. When we realize the box spring would not go up the stairs one of the movers figured out a way to get it up onto the balcony and move it through the door. Thanks for making everything so smooth.

Arrived on time (slightly ahead of schedule) and called ahead before heading over and when a few minutes away. Very easy to coordinate with the office for the estimate. Very efficient move where freight elevators were reserved both moving out and in and timing was important. Professional move with safeguard of all furniture. Have used on multiple apartment moves over the years and would 100% recommend over some of the advertised discount movers.

We had the *best* packing and moving crew, led by Dane. The men that did the work were funny, friendly, fast, professional and absolute pleasures to work with. Could not recommend more. The office was absolutely the worst to work with. I called and was told an account was being set up and a proposal being sent. When I called back 24 hours later, there was no record of my first call. Got all set up, got a quote. Once I signed the paperwork and sent it back, I never heard from the rep again. I emailed her a week before our move to confirm the details of the move and the amount of the final payment - no response. Called and left a message - no response. Sent the email again 48 hours in advance of our move - no response. It's too bad, because the crew was so wonderful but I couldn't recommend the company because the customer service from the office was so terrible.

Matthew H and Josh M where absolutely fantastic! As soon as they arrived they got down to business, they knew exactly how desemble my living room and bed room set to make the moving experience was ALOT simpler and smoother. They finished everything I needed in exactly 53 minutes which was 37 minutes sooner then estimated which saved me over $100. The movers, W Harris and Hardy, called to make sure I would not have a problem if they arrived 30 minutes early, which I was happy about. They both arrived professionally and explained their process well. They ensured that everything was padded, packed, and protected well, including my TV and glass shelves. My furniture was disassembled and reassembled properly. I even had an additional request for them, and they gladly brought out the proper tools and took care of it. Matthew and Lopez were terrific to work with. Arrival was near the beginning of the arrival window. Started by getting a clear idea of the full task. Both men were very propane friendly. Work was done as quickly as could be done safely. Expectations were clear for all aspects of the move from the first conversation and went as expected. My husband and I were stressed enough moving during the pandemic and not being able to rely on our family and friends as we usually would do for help. We moved with Mark (the supervisor) and Thomas from Two Men and a Truck and it was a great choice. They were prompt, professional, and considerate to our needs. Some of the turns to get the furniture in the house were really tight and they were so amazing at making sure that they turned the furniture at just the right angle to make sure nothing was damaged. I have used Two Men & Truck for 2 prior moves and have been satisfied. It’s been 8 years since the last move, so I checked their reviews while deciding on a mover. There were a couple unfavorable reviews that worried me (about movers being slow or breaking items). I reached out to Olivia and told her my concerns. She promised she would get me an experienced crew. I Loved Kyle & David. Kyle is the experienced guy and he was super personable and both worked really hard and efficiently. David was new and he didn’t act like it. I did move 2 standing lamps and a glass table from my mom personally before moving day because I didn’t want to risk anything, but they wrap up everything really well. I was worried about my sectional sofa fitting through the narrow door. They “shrink” sofas with the covering and the tape over it (think girdle) and it all went smoothly. David gave me an idea how to set up my sectional sofa at my new place that I never considered before (splitting it up) & that does work best. Kyle explained that when the client underestimates the total number of items to be moved (boxes and furniture), then the estimate will be on the high end or even over the estimate. Meaning, when Two Men & A Truck estimate 42 items for a one bedroom condo and I have 70 items (we all have more then we think until we box it all up), of course it’s going to take longer in time than 42 items. I had all my boxes stacked up in one place & my unit was located at the end where the truck could park, so my actual cost was a little less than the estimate by Olivia. I hope my review helps others when deciding and clarifies how the price range is calculated. If you are accurate with how much “stuff” you really have, then the estimates are fair. I thought I could save money in my past move by hiring two college guys and renting a truck. Both moves cost me about the same and Two Men & A Truck are professionals.

The movers arrived on time. It was a difficult move on both ends. The condo was on top floor with only one small elevator and had to exit through an underground garage and since they were repairing balconies parking was difficult. Benjamin, Antoine and Monroe did a great job of padding and wrapping my furniture taking care with my antique dining table. They then moved everything to my new home which had a narrow entryway with a half wall near the entrance making it tricky to navigate. Another great move with no problems. This company employs people with an excellent work ethic to make their moves. The young men who came to my house were really professional, efficient, and very careful with all of my possessions. They also wanted to make sure I was happy with where the items were placed, and I did have them change a couple placements-- which they readily accommodated. I tend to worry about everything ahead of time, but these people are very reassuring from the minute you talk to them on the phone to set things up, to the very last item brought in. I needed to book movers last minute to get out of a rotten apartment situation. I called on a Saturday and the scheduler was friendly, knowledgeable, and able to get me in right away on Monday morning. The crew you sent me, led by Dane, was FANTASTIC!!! They were professional, efficient, honest (a different company I used in the past wasn't so honest so I was wary but they proved that moving companies can be honest) and communicated well among themselves --in particular while wrestling my couch down a very tricky windy stairwell. I'm moving on short notice due to an incredibly stressful landlord problem and your crew helped make this part go smoothly. The one minor drawback was that the truck was pretty tall and didn’t quite fit into the garage for unloading at the storage center (max clearance of 12’2”). We found a place to park and made it work though.

Just wanted to share how great Zain’s customer service was this morning. I made his morning pretty difficult by requesting a quote, scheduling the move, and working with him on the inventory. After we got through all of that and a lot of back and fourth, I quickly realized that the day we picked would not work for us anymore. Brandon, Matt and Danny did a great job dealing with the stress of the weather as well as coordinating three buildings’ schedules. I will say I wish the office team had realized that we would need more than one truck for space based on what we were moving (for example we both have pianos). Also, the office said they would put a note for the movers to get to me at as close to 8:00 AM as possible due to my 9:00 elevator time but they didn’t arrive at my unit until 9:20. That did slow us down a bit. However, this was not the movers’ fault. They said they didn’t even know where’s they were going until 7:30 that morning. Nevertheless, they worked so hard and were so friendly for all 14 hours of the move. We are so appreciative.

Beware - they have higher rates around end of the month, which makes sense, but I wasn’t told that upfront. If your move is flexible, avoid the price hike. Honestly, used them 5 times now. The price for the quality is the best in Chicago. Not a broken piece of furniture or dish or scratched wall anytime I have used them! Well worth it to remove the stress and pain of moving!

And it's February, so 23 degrees and maybe some snow? But our crew from Two Men And A Truck was all-pro. SO to Adam and Jasmine: they took a moment to assess their situation and then jumped right in. No time lost at any location, totally efficient all day long (and no whining about cold or the winding staircase!). They moved quickly but took enough time to make sure every piece was protected and properly secured. Also, polite guys who genuinely cared about our whole experience (and fun for dad to talk sports with while working on the move!). They were supported by the office team - who answered all our questions and checked in throughout the day to make sure everything was going smoothly.
