Originally scheduled for 10am, had to push back to 11 as they were running a little late. Once they arrived they were very quick and efficient unpacking U-Haul U-Boxes. Nothing damaged. They were very friendly and quick. Unloaded 2 U-Boxes and a full SUV in about 2 hours. Did not complain at all about the SUV even though that was not in the original quote. Overall no complaints!

I used this company for a move and it took them 4.5 hours to get it done. I had a 1bdrm with more boxes than furniture. This should have been a quick job, but the driver states that they stopped to help a disabled car get started. T hey finally get to my new address 3hours later it should not take 3hours to drive 19miles. Then they broke my glass table shattered it and never mentioned to me that the table had broken, now they want to argue that I disputed the charge for wrapping it, they never gave me a price I told them do what you need to do. At the end of the day I was charged 840 for 4.5hours which should have been 2.5hr job. Would I recommend this company I don't know they were sloppy with my valuable.

Huge shout out to James , Shawn and David for making my move a breeze 🍻- They were on time, quick and efficient and communicated well. Each of them easily moved 2 to 3 medium to large boxes at a time and loaded everything in 30 mins. The unloading took ~1 hour (probably since a lift and high rise was involved). Danielle scheduled our appointment and she did a great job explaining what to expect and answered all our questions regarding the move. There were some extra charges for packing up sofa and Tv stand and couple of stray items. We moved from suburbs to Chicago downtown in 2.5 hours. It would probably be less if there was no traffic. I highly recommend their services.

James and his partner, which I didn't get his name moved me today and it was great. No issues at all, they were very professional and hard working the entire time. They took great care of my items and even wrapped up my belongings with pads and wrapped up my furniture so it wouldn't get ruined in the move. I have nothing bad to say about these guys at all! I have hired other movers in the past and had an awful experience, but again these guys were great!

This company was able to get my move scheduled when it was an urgent need and several other moving companies were available. Jose and his team were professional, fast, and took great care with my items. They moved all of my furnitures into a 3rd floor walk up in a quick and professional manner without any complaints. They took the time to disassemble and assemble my items. They even asked where I wanted my furniture placed once it was moved in. I would definitely use this company again and recommend them in the future.

Family Moving Company was awesome for our move yesterday. Their men were absolutely amazing. They were so insanely fast and skilled, and took great care of all of our possessions. They wrapped all of our delicate items with expert care, and had us all packed up and moved into our new place in just under five hours. I don't think I'd ever hire anyone else again! This was the best moving experience my family have ever had. It was a very big job and the movers worked incredibly hard and efficiently with nothing but a positive attitude and they never made us feel guilty for how much work it was. Everyone else I spoke to on the phone, in sales and front desk were just as helpful. Always responded to emails quickly, worked around our needs and didn't over charge us. I have nothing but good things to say about Family Moving & Storage, Inc. I had been referred to other companies by friends, but saw all of the great reviews on Yelp & BBB, and decided to get a price quote and see how it went. The other companies tanked on customer service while Family Moving & Storage, Inc. excelled. 1 - Price quote. I sent in about 5 requests online for quotes in one afternoon. By 5:00 pm Travis had responded with a very detailed and well priced quote. 2 - Follow up. I have never hired movers before and asked about a million questions beforehand. I dealt mostly with Travis & Mark and both were very helpful and extremely polite. 3 - Moving Day. The three movers were able to arrive almost 1 hour ahead of schedule. A bit of confusion between the company and movers about arrival time, but no big deal. They got down to business fast and were extremely polite the entire time. Kept smiles on their faces as they were hauling up heavy furniture and boxes. Finally, they allowed me to look in the truck to make sure I had everything. The time and cost estimate were below what I was told, so I tipped them pretty well. Those guys busted tail and didn't scratch, ding, or dent any of my furniture or the hallway of my building. Great referral, so thanks to everyone who has reviewed them!

They immediately demonstrated to the person giving it to me and myself they would treat it as the important piece it was. So kind and professional. I’ve recommended them to my friend. Family Moving & Storage provided us a very easy and stress-free relocating experience. It was very easy getting a quote from them and everything went very smoothly from there. The movers were great. They were punctual and efficient. They carried my big pieces of furniture with ease. They were careful while maneuvering the furniture through the house. Thankfully every piece of furniture made it to my new house in good condition. In the end I realized that this move was so easy and the credit only goes to the movers.

They offered to come earlier then the scheduled time. They carried up my very heavy furniture a flight of stairs and when i didn’t like the way the room looked, they offered to move the furniture around so i can see what it would look like. I had a very heavy, solid wood, large dresser and a king size bed/mattress. James, Dan and Wilson came to do their job! The estimated time for the move was 3 hrs, they got it done in 2.5 hrs. Awesome guys! I had worked a 12 hr shift the night before and had about 3 hrs of sleep. Thanks for making my move quick and easy.

My move wasn't exactly easy coming from a large house on tip of a hill, so there was lots of up and down stairs there and I moved to the third floor apartment (no elevator), but the guys were just great, they just kept at it until the job was done. I can't say enough!!!!! Professional office staff, that called and emailed to confirm move. Driver called to give me his arrival time. They examined the items I needed moved (a full house of furniture and appliances) and they got to WORK! No breakage, no extra charges, no slacking to increase time! I had a few antique items that I was really nervous about moving, but they handled them with CARE! I was leery about a 4-man crew, but it worked out great, and even saved me money because they were so quick! Price was half of what they estimated (woo-hoo) and they did a wonderful job! You earned my business for all of my moving needs!!!!!!!!

I have not had much experience with moving companies but, I am pretty sure other companies do not get good reviews for being late while smelling like they've gotten high on the way to the job, complaining while moving customers belongings, employing movers that do little to no work, damaging a mattress while rushing to finish the job and not adequately completing the move by saying the furniture would not fit( inexperienced). I am being very very generous with a 3 star review because one of the 3 movers worked very hard trying to compensate for the other 1/2 and 1/4 workers that was on the team and I felt bad for him. This company is a definite non recommendation!

I have moved several times in the past 5 years and If I did not have the exceptional moving experience this past move with Family Moving and Storage, I think I would have burned everything I own just so I would not have to go through another bad experience. One of the smoothest moves I've ever had! They were MUCH cheaper than all the other movers I contacted (I'd contacted at least 10 others in Chicagoland). And they made sure they identified all the extra charges upfront, that saved me money overall. Like they asked me to get my own cling wrap and mattress covers ($26 total) so they don't have to charge me extra for it (could've been $100 extra which would've made it equivalent to all the other movers' quotes). The guys were on time, and my move was smoothly completed in 3 hours including travel time.

First things first, these guys are very reliable. I was on a tight schedule for my move-in. They picked my stuff up from storage the night before which was not requested but greatly appreciated. Not only did they show up on time but also had everything in and set up, including my beds and TV stands, earlier than I expected. WOW, they work fast! No scratches, wall damage or broken furniture. This was my first time using Family Moving after horrible experiences with other supposedly "premier" moving companies. I was hesitant choosing this company because there were not many reviews on Yelp or Google - but let me tell you I made the right choice and it was worth every penny. I called about a month before my move, and was able to get everything set up! Everyone involved prior to my move was very helpful and pleasant to work with. On move day, the gentlemen arrived within the timeframe I scheduled and started right at it! They handled the heat, 3rd floor to 4th floor, and my complicated one-way street like pros! The team of Manny's was positive, friendly and very professional. These guys came under an hour of the estimate provided to me and the whole experience was STELLER!!! I highly recommend this company and if you should not think twice!!!

If I could give 2.5 stars I would. I scheduled a move with Family Movers back in April (around the 21st) Well they arrived on time, they were efficient, didn't waste any time, they came into my the apt where i was moving from, (I had everything packed) they asked me if I needed anything wrapped, I said "Just my TVs", but everything else was good to go. Well they began to move the furniture out and did this quickly, No problem there. They got a "storage bin" I had no lid on and ran tape across the top and around the bottom a few times. They grabbed my 2 TVs, One 50in & One 32in... all and all the move took a total of 3 hours which was great b/c I moved from West Side to South side from 2nd fl to 11th fl. Well, once they got all my furniture into the new place I Noticed a SCRATCH ON MY 50in TV. I brought it to one of the movers attn, he said "yea, it must've fell against something in the truck" (THEY DID NOT WRAP MY TV's EVEN THOUGH THEY ASKED AND WERE TOLD TO WRAP MY TVS'.. THEY DID NOT WRAP MY TVs!!! Mover told me to file a claim, I did.. BOTTOM LINE THEY OFFERED ME $25 FOR THE DAMAGE THEY DID TO MY TV. IT COST MORE THAN $25 TO FIX A CRACKED SCREEN ON AN IPHONE! so this is why they rate is so low. Otherwise i did appreciate the "quickness of the move" I hate I'm watching my 50in TV with a BIG LONG crack running down it and it was caused by (supposed)"Professional" movers..even though I told them to wrap the TV I was told my the claims dept.. you know you would have been charged for that "SO WHAT I TOLD THEM TO WRAP IT", I DIDN'T ASK THEM TO TAPE THE STORAGE BIN, BUT THEY DID, THEY DIDN'T ASK, THEY DIDN'T ADVISE THAT I WOULD BE CHARGED FOR THE USE OF THE TAPE (and I had my own right in the apt where I moved from) BUT THEY USED THEIR TAPE (I THINK, COULD HAVE BEEN MINE) AND I DIDN'T REALIZE I HAD BEEN CHARGED FOR IT UNTIL AFTER THEY LEFT...

Mark was extremely quick and helpful setting up my moving appointment. He provided an accurate estimate and was very pleasant. Sheila in the office was extremely helpful during my confirmation call and on the day of the move. The movers Edner, Landon, and George were the quickest moving team I’ve ever seen. I had a strict elevator building window and they moved me out of my 2nd floor walkup into an elevator building studio super fast on an 85 degree day. *Important detail: The move-in time they give you is an ARRIVAL window not your move window. Make sure you’re aware of that. **I also packed everything myself and made sure everything was secure. If you’re careful in how you pack your own stuff securely in boxes and you make sure the movers know what is fragile, then things don’t end up broken.

Stanley was a great mover he was strong he moved my apartment a 2 bedroom with a lot of boxes from a second floor to a first floor he hooked up some kind of strap and moved like 10 boxes at a time he was fabulous I'd always use stan

The movers i had were amazing i had Stan George Scooter and Edgner the only thing that i did not like which was not the movers fault but i was scheduled between 8-10 they got there at 1130 called dispatch at 930 was advised that would be there by 10/1030 after the movers did not show up called a few times no answer until the driver called me and told me they was in route so not happy with dispatch im sure they seen me calling and message was left so was not happy with how that was handle, the movers were fabulous was not happy about how everything else was handle
