The customer service and response time we received from this company was stellar. This was not a typical move for Coffey Bros since we are a church and only moving out our old pews. They priced us fairly and make sure we were comfortable, and understood the entire process. JR, Jimmy, DeMarcio and Linton were outstanding; their efforts saved us time and money. They made adjustments for us on site as needed. I appreciated they enthusiasm and honesty immensely and I would give them 10 stars if I could. Our church is so grateful for a company like this!

Updating my review. Coffey overall did a good job. I think some of their movers can benefit from some technical training on removal of legs of furniture before rotating through door frames, or using teams of two when moving heavy objects. I also think they can expedite their claims process to be faster. Still, most everything I moved got to where it was in good condition, and only one or two things broke in the process. Coffey gave me a claim within 45 days and I am satisfied with it. Overall, 4 out of 5 stars for what is a good experience.

Benjamin's crew did a fantastic job today on my move from Chicago to Northbrook. My previous experience with this company was great, but I was nervous this time since I was moving a bit further than previously. The team helped pack items that I was planning to pick up later and with speed; they truly work fast and efficiently. I will for sure be calling Coffey Bros again for my next move, and request Benjamin's crew.

This is my second time using this company. They moved me from Chicago to St Louis 2 years ago. This time they moved me back. Edgar and Jose cared about my move as much as me. They take the stress out of the equation. Meticulous packaging and planning. They drove 12 hours and made sure everything came out of that truck in the same condition as it was put in. They did not leave my new home until I was sure everything looked the way I wanted it. I literally did not have to do anything. They took everything apart and put it back together. I would recommend this company to anyone who cares about their belongings. moving is stressful. great company, great employees!

I selected Coffey Bros. Moving for our move from Chicago to Columbus because they offered a two day move to pickup and drop off with the same truck and team of guys. (Most of the large moving companies did not offer this option.) The person who gave us the estimate, Ernst, was very professional and helpful during my entire experience from getting the estimate, to answering my many questions in preparing for the move, and in assisting with the payment process for the deposit, and balance on the final move date. Three guys, Arthur, Ricky and George were our "team" of movers for the two days, with an additional two guys on the pick-up day in Chicago. Arthur, Ricky and George were extremely good, taking great care to move our items without damage. The unloading (delivery day) in Columbus was difficult since we have a flight of stairs in the entry of our condominium. The three guys definitely earned their tip money with all of the heavy lifting required to move our furniture and boxes. They were very nice, never complained and made our move experience positive. I would highly recommend Coffey Bros. Moving. I would make a suggestion to anyone who needs to sign a contract for a move, that you have good communication with the company about the pricing estimate, what it covers, what expenses are to be added on on the final move date and the company payment procedure.

Highly recommend! The sales reps, Bob and Ernest were extremely accommodating and communicative throughout this process. My moving crew; Edgar, Damarte, Mike, & Freddy were great! These men were clean cut and kind, they moved, hustled and did it with a smile from the moment they got there until the moment they left! I recently did a move with Coffey Bros roughly about two weeks ago. Arthur, Andre, and Davis are truly professional and courteous. They were extremely patient throughout the process as the building was giving so much hard time with the usage of elevator. 3 hours job got extended to roughly 6 hours, but they kept it going until the end. Armando and his crew were excellent! They called us and said they had an opening to come early and offered to get started sooner. They were extremely careful with our furniture and even carried way more boxes than they expected. They finished the job quickly and efficiently and were so nice while in our home! I’ve used Coffey Bros. for 3 of my moves the past 10 years and they’ve always been fast and excellent with my stuff. Also super easy to book with and always show up on time. Totally worth the price. This time I was moving from floor 1 to 2 and the movers were Clyde and Dameon who were just amazing from communicating when they’d be arriving to making sure they had everything in the right areas before leaving. Coffey Bros move team of Edgar, Arthur and Jose arrived a bit late due to traffic to move a two bedroom apartment from North Chicago to Northeast Indiana. My wife and I moved from Andersonville to Glenview this past week. We had to find movers on short notice and were referred to Coffey Bros by Redi-Box. My initial contact was with Patrick who answered my questions, took my inventory and delivered a quote. He maintained great communication throughout the process and was able to help secure a street permit for the truck. On the day of our move Ricky, Ben and Marty were awesome. They texted to let us know when to expect them and showed up when we expected. They securely wrapped/packed up our fragile items and got it all to fit in the truck. Once we got to our new home they quickly and efficiently unloaded everything where it needed to go. Our overall experience was great and we would definitely use Coffey Bros again in the future

The move experience was fine, no issues with regards to their timing or the handling of my materials (mostly). Here are the important notes regarding the moving experience with Coffey Bros. Moving: - This was an extensive job, as I moved across states and required item storage for a week. It should be noted that the original estimate of the cost to move is $5,350 and the final cost ended up being $6,600. Luckily I am reimbursed for the move from my company, but had I paid out-of-pocket this would have been of greater concern. - Note that this is an edited review, as the first one was written in front of them. It seems to be company policy that after each job (when they picked up the items and when dropped off) the movers are required to show you how to write a review. Unlike another reviewer here who stated they felt intimidated to write the review on the spot, they were kind and unintimidating for me, however it was clear that they wanted a review written right then and there stating how the movers did. - A couple of our items were damaged: Mattress handles were ripped, plastic storage containers had their lids destroyed with too much weight, a vase was broken at the lip. The mattress handles were ripped for excessive handling when getting up and down the stairs, however it is a king-size so they can't be blamed. The plastic storage containers were destroyed from excessive weight on them, but it was only one out of approximately 5 containers. For the above reasons, a star has been deducted from the review. I cannot deduct more, because the service was excellent overall. The above points are mentioned for the consumer to be aware of this reviewer's experience. I would use Coffey Bros again given the option.

We just used Coffey Bros for our move and they were great! They were easy to get a hold of and booking process was simple. The movers showed up on time and were very kind, informative and professional. Unfortunately, one mover called off sick so we only had 2 instead of the original 3 planned. Everything went seamlessly and 2 men were actually perfect for the job. They completed the job in exactly 3 hours which was great because our original quote was for 5 hours not knowing how long it would take. Will definitely be hiring them again for our next move.

The workers additionally took apart some furniture and brought their own hand tools. They moved our whole office in under two hours into 2 trucks. Showed up timely, worked super hard on what turned out to be a marathon move, no complaints with the team at all. One star off for Coffey Bros, because their estimate was way off. We disclosed a full inventory, that it was to a third story walk-up, etc, and Coffey estimated four men could do it in 6-8 hours. Nope. Not even Arthur, Antoin, Edwin and George, who were tireless.

UPDATE: I've used these guys a couple more times now and each time has been very smooth and low stress for me. However, the movers this time around ended up charging me an extra $168 for packing "loose items" into wardrobe boxes. When I say "loose items" I mean a laundry bag that contained some packing materials. They took the laundry bag, placed it in a wardrobe box and, voila, my move just got $10 more expensive. They did this 5 times with wardrobe boxes alone which cost me $50 and then other boxes, and this amounted to $168. This was pretty sneaky. Moral of the story: Unless it's furniture, make sure all of your stuff is actually in a box and if you see them placing items in a box, ask if you're getting charged for that being in a box. If so, just take it yourself or have extra boxes on hand. ============ 2017 Great experience. Movers were friendly, fast, delicate with my stuff, and they even put together my couch and coffee table. Would not think twice about using them again!!!

Wow what an amazing team! We recently moved from Chicago to the burbs with 3 kids in tow, let's just say I was a bit unprepared come move day. I guess I didn't realize how much packing I was not going to get done with mom duties and work demands. Nonetheless, the movers called for more support/supplies and an additional truck to help me get it all completed in one day. I was a bit embarrassed that we had so much more packing left to do before they arrived but they were ready and willing to help. The bill did turn out higher than our estimate but understandably since I didn't prepare well. Again so thankful they were able to accommodate my changes at such shot notice. They took great care of my things, I didn't have any damage concerns and honestly I was a little concerned with recent reviews but I had a stellar team and no problems at all. I would recommend 100% I should note, that they did wrap all of my belongings with plastic and blankets and had some impressive moving skills to show off..lol So they are definitely the real deal here folks! My neighbors were moving out the same day we were and their movers never showed up.. I guess due to labor shortages. Man were we lucky they were able to accommodate my extra stuff!!! Oh and JR was my coordinator, he was such a pleasure to work with in the office. Thanks Coffey Bros!

JR and Alonzo were fantastic! I had such a wonderful experience moving with Coffey Bros. They were super quick and efficient and made my move super smooth. They were very kind and handled by belongings with care. Ken also was very responsive and was available day of. I would highly recommend them for your move and will be using them in the future! Edit after unpacking all of my belongings: all of my furniture was heavily wrapped in blankets, shrink wrap and tape etc. I have not found any damage whatsoever, although I have done several moves and have gotten better at packing. I'm surprised by all of the horrible experiences left by previous reviewers. I think JR went out of his way to make sure that everything was handled with care and asked me several times throughout the move how I thought it was going, if they were moving fast enough etc. Seems other customers either had different people with different experiences, or Coffey Bros has made some nice improvements! It took longer than expected, but mostly due to elevator issues on my buildings end.

I was looking for a moving company who could move furniture and items for a single bedroom unit a week before I need to leave my old apartment. Coffee Bros. Moving stepped in for the challenge and did an awesome job. Keep in mind, it was the last weekend of May 2021 and EVERYONE in Chicago was moving. Thank goodness they had a moving slot open that weekend. They provided me with exceptional service during my first call, setting up the move, getting a quote, and the initial paperwork. During the move I had two awesome dudes who wrapped all of my furniture, carefully moved-out everything down two narrow flights of stairs, loaded everything into the truck, which was followed by a smooth drive to my new apartment, and move-in of items into my new apartment. I signed all the required paperwork at the end, sent what I owed on the invoice, and that was a wrap. I actually ended up spending $100 less than what I expected to spend, so that was awesome. Overall an awesome experience and I would recommend Coffee Bros to others. Just a final thing, I think I got incredibly lucky in finding a moving company a week before a move, so a huge kudos to Coffee Bros for having an open time slot on such a short notice. In general, I recommend people call and schedule a moving company at least 2-3 weeks before a move. If people plan to move on a major moving weekend (the final weekends of a month, especially during Spring or Fall months), schedule at least a month in advance.

Moving can be super stressful, Coffey Bros made moving stress free! We had three men for our 1-bedroom move. They did an amazing job wrapping all of our furniture. Nothing was damaged!! They were also very prepared with their own supplies. I had a few items that needed to go in boxes, but I didn’t have enough boxes. They provided their own boxes for a very small charge! The price is very reasonable. You pay per hour, and the workers do not waste any time at all! They also helped my move my rugs under some heavy furniture when we got to the new place so I wouldn’t have to worry about it later! Sam and Andres are wonderful movers I would recommend specifically requesting them to move your items. They moved our heavy couch down five flights of stairs with zero damage to the couch. Great job very friendly guys and made this move so much easier. Unfortunately I gave 4 stars instead of 5 stars because of miscommunication with the office they did not communicate to the movers any of the items in our storage space or the directions to our loading dock that we forwarded them and it cause us to be a little late. Other than front desk miscommunication, would recommend. PS if you need a drill for the job make sure the front desk TELLS the movers.

I've used Coffey Bros for multiple moves and every time the crew of movers they send have been great! Specifically Rob and his crew are amazing! Seriously, ask specifically for them. They came on their day off on since Coffey Bros forgot to schedule an entire crew for me, which is why I'm only giving them 3 stars. I had a window on a Monday from 8-9a, no one showed, no one called, nothing. I called dispatch and they "couldn't get ahold of the crew", "someone called in sick", and 5 other reasons instead of just admitting they double booked or never scheduled people. If you need movers, find a way to contact Rob at Coffey Bros and use him without going through Coffey Bros.

We used Coffey Bros. Moving for our move from the city to Glenview and they were amazing! This was my first time using movers so even from the beginning Stephanie made me feel at ease. I appreciated all of the communication from her leading up to the move about the estimate, inventory, and moving day process. Francisco, Jorge, and Johnathan were our movers on moving day. They showed up in the window provided and had great communication leading up to their arrival. They were efficient, personable, and took direction well. Despite the summer temps they wore masks which I appreciated as I am pregnant. They kept saying they wanted to do a great and fast job for us which they absolutely delivered on! Francisco explained the estimate very clearly at the beginning and went over the final bill at the end. Moving in the middle of a pandemic and being 8 months pregnant wasn't ideal but Coffey Brothers made it very easy! We will definitely be using them for our next move and would highly recommend them!

I used Coffey Bros to make a local move in Chicago in the middle of the summer. My moving day was June 30th, potentially the most hype moving day of the year. Despite short notice, they accommodated my moving date and schedule. In terms of the actual move? I moved from a third floor apartment and the crew that came were INCREDIBLE. Their names are JR, Patrick, and Linton. From the beginning of the day each of them were kind, optimistic, and assured me about any of my concerns. JR was the foreman of the crew and he also communicated with me throughout the day (even before they arrived) to ensure that I knew how things were progressing, and how the move was aligning with my initial estimate. Despite having downpour of rain, all of my things were moved out of my apartment quickly and handled with care and dignity. This was the first time I have ever hired movers and I cannot recommend Coffey Bros enough, ESPECIALLY JR, LINTON, and PATRICK. They have my business for life.

Long story short, I didn’t get a great impression of how the management of schedule for the movers. I planned my move months in advance. A DAY prior my estimation doubled. It was just odd that a day prior to my moving the company added another to double my estimation. I felt caught off guard, because I planned this months in advance so this should have been notified at least two weeks prior. PRO: Stephanie Seefeldt was the sweetest individual. She was a great Sales rep.They sent other movers to help with your move if other movers were late. CONS: The movers were late (not surprised) but 2 hours late. They were late because the poor schedule management. The movers were in the suburbs and not even in the vicinity of where I live. They were an hour away. I would have given 2 stars, but the movers who took over were Jonathan M. and Joseph L. helped out a lot in my move. I have given two more stars. I was happy they were able help out. By the time they loaded 3/4 of my items in their truck, the original movers (Romell) arrived. It was really ridiculous. I believe this company can be a little more organize. Please add extra padding of time with no cost on the customers end for slow movers! I would even recommend shadowing your movers since it doesn’t seem like you have any idea what’s going on when schedule your movers.

I’m leaving this review a few months after my move because I just finished opening all the boxes. The reason I gave 3 stars, the move started off good but ended poorly. The sent two young men and it was going well but, then I saw my mattress 😳 two gapping holes, next I have yet to find the feet to my television. The guys took it apart and I haven’t found them yet. Call the drivers as soon a they pulled off… no answer. Call at least twenty times, left messages, nothing. Next my beautiful kitchen cart, broken. Last but nit least, I called the company and was basically told, “ don’t know how much you’ll get for the damages, might nit be worth it”. So 2 1/2-3 stars.
