Reviews of Old Dominion Freight Line
Get unloaded on Sunday.Easy to get in and out.Nice people in the office.
Gowen road is closed WB so I took exit 54 on I-84 to get there. I went there at 9:30a.m. and was given a door when I called them to open the gate. I took my Bols at 11:55a.m. 2.5 hours unloading and I did not had to worry about my next pickup. Clean place, friendly people.
Friendly Receiver but took a little longer than expected to unload. I did not get my straps back but I didn't catch it until I got to the next shipper. So that's as much my fault as theirs.
When the movers I booked two months out did not show up, Old Dominion saved the day! The cost was reasonable and the professionalism and customer service, priceless! Thank you OD!
Did unload me quick, I wait for 2 hours for my paperwork because they forgot about me, so make sure to check in office once unloaded.
I recently made a large purchase online and the company used Old Dominion as the carrier. After a week I was starting to get anxious as I had not heard from the carrier -- however I also realize this is the busiest time of the year for shipping. Nevertheless, I did receive some tracking info and that is when things started to get a little off course.
My freight was supposed to be delivered to my house on a certain day and the company I bought it from emailed me stating that Old Dominion was calling me trying to set up a delivery time. So I immediately called the # they provided and gave the lady who answered the order #, and she told me my package was barely in transit and that nobody had called me?
It sounded strange, so I hung up and called my local Old Dominion distributor and asked them. They told me indeed my package was due on Wed and that they would call me an hour before it was to be delivered on the day of -- between 12-5pm.
I took the day off so I could be there for the package as the company I ordered from told me because of the expense and it being fragile that I should inspect it when it was delivered. Unfortunately I got a call from Old Dominion on the day of delivery telling me my shipment was delayed (gave no reason) and I was pretty upset. It was midday and I could not take another day off. I worked it out that my wife would come home between 12-5pm the next day so we could accept it.
The next day we receive another call saying it was not going to make it and at that point I started getting really upset. The lady was helpful on the phone and was sympathetic enough to tell me to just pick a delivery time and they would make it happen. I told her I would call them back when I had it all arranged. A few hours later I called back and a guy answered telling me they could not pick a delivery time. At that point I was frustrated and asked for a supervisor -- expecting it to just get worse. I could not have been more wrong.
LAFU the manager, got on the phone and really rose to the occasion. He told me my freight was delayed due to weather (finally someone told me why) and that it was on its way up and would be at the warehouse that night -- he would even wait for me to come get it if I wanted. Sure enough, I called later and he informed me my package was there. I went to the location at around 8:30pm and he had it all ready to go. I pulled my SUV up to the loading dock/ramp and realized the package was so large it would not fit. I was so bummed out. I was happy to see my package was in excellent condition, but really wanted it that night.
LAFU rose to the occasion again, and suggested that he could get his men to actually deliver personally to my house -- keep in mind it was 15 degrees out and the men he ordered were off shift. Wow..I thought. This guy CARES about his customers. The men followed me to my house and delivered to my living room.
Talk about going above and beyond! As long as Lafu is there at Old Dominion in Boise, I will ONLY use them for all my shipping/freight needs. Fed Ex has NOTHING on Lafu and the crew at Old Dominion! He is a gem and backbone of their success. Thanks again for helping me out that cold night. :o))
This blue collar staff knows what it takes to get the job done right the first time!
Very friendly people had a overage on a load that I delivered and to get it off my truck I took it here I was in and out 15 minutes won't mind coming back if I run into the same situation
Nice people but too slow to unload. Around 3-4 hours to get you unloaded

Picked up my freight. Process was fast and professional. No damage was done to the package.
Easy to get in and out. I'm usually picking up items that are extremely unwieldy, and the staff is always very helpful.
