We had a minor glitch with getting signed up over the phone, but their staff was helpful and got everything worked out in a timely manner. We were emailed a gate passcode and unit number. The Lock was already in the unit. They even emailed to confirm that we had moved out instead of just waiting for the next billing cycle and billing us for an additional month.

I honestly do not know where to begin..but here goes. I moved and I needed a storage space that was close by and it just so happened that they were not only convenient, but super friendly and helpful to my needs. Through this experience I had some hardships, and there were times that I felt like I was about to lose all of my furniture, and accessories. Thanks be to God, I didn't and Rick (the manager) was everything I needed and didn't know that I needed through those crucial moments. I highly recommend Palisades Extra Space Storage, and you can let em' know Earth Reign sent you. 😃

Rick helped us when it was time to move our daughter’s stuff out for college. Close to Samford. Like that it was gated and that we could purchase a lock from them. Didn’t love that the price went up this summer right before we moved out. Felt like it should have stayed the same as what it was at the start of the contract, but still very pleased with facility and service.

I came by and Ryan took care of me ASAP!! I purchased a lot new lock & key and Ryan cut off the old lock on my unit. Rick was very pleasant and helpful. Facility looks clean and well maintained. The drainage at this place is impressive, Birmingham had significant flash flooding last night and there was no water incursion in my storage unit. EDIT: It was a breeze closing out when i was done storing. Didn't even have to do anything, i suspect they're keeping an eye on who is coming and going, and when. When i approached Rick to say i was bailing, i forgot to say my building letter but he already knew what it was. This suggests to me that a close eye is being kept on the place, which is exactly what you want in a storage facility.

The units and surrounding areas are always clean and tidy, as is the spotless office. The staff are very helpful and will do whatever it takes to make your experience there a positive one. Nobody likes having to pay for storage, however its always a pleasure dealing with Extra Space in Homewood!

This particular location was fine.. I never had a problem with security or gate access, and my stuff (a lot of antique wooden furniture) stayed in decent shape even though it was an outdoor unit. Just read the fine print when renting a unit from Extra Space Storage, and be prepared for rent hikes if you're using it for the long term.

Great facility. I accidentally left my bike in front of the neighboring unit once while digging stuff out, drove off and left, and they saw it on camera and held it for me until I returned. I've also driven off with a car load of boxes and forgotten to close the door, and they closed and locked it for me. All of my things (including expensive electronics, etc. were still there). Units have always been clean, and so is the bathroom, which is nice if you're just travelling through.

I like this location and the staff is very friendly, but we have had multiple problems with gate access and that should be a priority, since most people move on the weekend when the staff may be out of the office. I didn't like having our weekend plans ruined and/or put on hold because we couldn't get in the gate. The facility is clean, well-lit and secure (I guess a little too secure). Our unit was located in an easy to get to spot, but so were all of the others I saw. What I liked as well, was that there was a coke machine on the property. Each time we have been there, we have been worn out and needed the refreshment. I hope the gate access problems do not continue.

I was relocating from Pennsylvania to Alabama and had awful time trying to locate a storage facilities that would lease a unit over the phone. After about ten or more contacts, I contacted Extra Space Storage who had a facility in Pennsylvania that allowed me to lease a unit in Alabama, using their remote access process. The process was quick, smooth and both offices have extremely friendly personnel that made my experience wonderful. The Alabama location allowed my mover to access the unit without no trouble. Extra Space was a lifesaver!!!
