Jamell and his crew were pretty good! Considering that, as a former military brat, and active military myself, I've seen quite a few moves in my day, these guys were our 2nd favorite. (Only the Japanese team in Japan was best, but no one can beat them). These guys though were timely, concise, careful, and efficient. They kept their areas clean, cared for our families' goods and had a great attitudes in 90-100 degree heat for the two days they were here. I'd recommend Stewart highly, at least Jamell and his guys. Awesome job!

Everyone I had the pleasure of meeting during this move was great! Friendly, efficient, careful, trustworthy. Customer service checked in during pickup and delivery to address any concerns (I had none, but appreciated it). The company was able to accommodate my requested dates and gave me a two hour arrival window. The movers called a day or two ahead to give me an exact time. They gave me the option to have each box unpacked by the movers or to do it myself (I did it myself, because I didn’t want to impose even more indecisiveness on these guys who already worked so hard for me).

Our recent move with Stewart Moving and Storage went great! Leroy came out and walked with us through our unit to give us a detailed estimate. We had consistent communication with our customer service person, Amanda throughout the entire process. We always knew what to expect and when the crew would arrive. Alphonso was our driver and his team was great with loading the truck and ensuring nothing was left behind. Alphonso was then right on time at our new address and took the time to make sure all our items were accounted for and reassembled as they were. Highly recommend.

I had an excellent experience with these guys. They did a military move with me from Annapolis MD to Richmond VA. The pick up was on time and professional, the moving crew packed up all my goods with efficiency and care, treating it like their own. They took care to go over every high value item with me before and afterwards. The delivery was just as pleasant. They were able to show up the next day with everything in perfect condition, and checked off every item on the inventory. Pack out took about 3 hours, delivery took one. I would highly recommend them for a move, and would definitely use their services again.

It was comforting to know that they had my back. Amanda thoroughly explained the payment process for my move to me and made sure I had no questions. Kassie came out to do my estimate the same day. My estimate was spot on and there were no hidden fees/costs, THANK YOU Amanda and Kassie for your professionalism and great customer service! My Move: The movers called me when they were on their way. 3 men showed up about 8:10am ready to work. They were polite and personable. One of them was pretty new and have a lot to learn about the trade but was open to learning on the spot. The other 2 were pretty experienced; they went through my place with ease, wrapping my wood furniture, taking apart beds and my table, carefully moving my leather furniture (I was concerned because my leather furniture wasn't wrapped when they were moving it. Some of the texture of the leather was rubbed off on the corners of 3 of the couches of my 3 piece sectional) and stacking my boxes. They were able to pack up the truck in 3 hours with one slow elevator (and I have a lot of stuff) and unpack it in 2 1/2 hours even though all the bedrooms in my new place were upstairs. Lee carried 2 large boxes upstairs at one time on his back! Thank you Ryan, Lee and Lowell for making my move go smoothly. I will be using Stewart Moving and Storage again!

I had a last minute military move and they packed and loaded my things in a matter of hours, and confirmed with me the things I did and did not want to pack. The company kept in contact with me the week prior to my move, updated me on their Covid protocols, and sent two great, personable movers to help move my stuff (one mover was from my hometown). Overall I would recommended this company to my family and friends.

Lee and his team arrived at my home ahead of schedule, and they worked tirelessly to move 4 stories of heavy furniture to my new home. They were incredibly professional. I could not believe how hard they worked, carrying the furniture down many flights of stairs. There was no complaining, and it was actually fairly fun (all things considered because moving generally is horrible and stressful) because they were just nice to be around. They finished ahead of schedule, and my payment was less than the quote received. Whatever Lee is making, he deserves a raise... I was quite literally amazed by the skill and professionalism I experienced in every interaction with Stewart. Could not recommend them more.

Stewart Moving was awesome. What I was originally quoted for seemed a bit high, but I was told it’s “worst case scenario” on the price, and in the end it ended up being about half of what I was quoted for, which was incredible. It was so worth the money, we will always be using movers in the future. The three guys that came to move our stuff were respectful and kind. We had a few things drop/crack during the move, but personally, it wasn’t anything of importance to me. They were very careful with our things but of course accidents happen and some nicks/cracks are bound to happen when moving. I told the bookshelf and dining room table were handmade for us so to please be extra careful with them and they absolutely were with those items specifically. Also, to clarify, zero damage done to walls or anything to either one of our homes, they were extra cautious with those things, it was just a lamp and a drawer that were dropped accidentally. No big deal. We were moving into an apartment building and unfortunately the week we moved the elevators were broken in my building and I’m on the fourth floor. These guys took it like a champ and still managed to finish quickly. They started the day at 9am and finished at 2:30pm. It was so fast. We couldn’t have done it ourselves five DAYS, let alone five hours! We were incredibly impressed with how fast they worked and how great they were at taking direction for where I’d like things placed. We will definitely be using Stewart Moving in the future!

Professional and outright amazing. Came in $300 under the estimate and the crew worked hard, quick and were simply incredible. Would highly recommend this company from start to finish. Our in home consult was as perfect as they come. I even asked her what makes Stewart better than (a few other companies names) and she didn’t utter a bad word about any of them. We have moved our fair share of times, and this experience was hands down one of the best. With the pandemic disrupting plans left and right, we had a lot of questions, concerns, and changes right from the beginning. Kristen and Kimmy at the Portsmouth office were very helpful and kind every time there was a question; Lindsey was quick and efficient with the virtual survey; and the lady who scheduled our drop-off (I’m sorry, I forgot her name!) was very accommodating and helpful as well. We were lucky that our driver (Matt) and his team were the same for pack/load/and drop-off - they were an absolute delight! The whole team was professional, kind, quick, and efficient. They handled the chaos of my children, and a move-out deadline, like seasoned pros. We also had two items “missing” while we were unpacking, and instead of shrugging it off and telling us to file a claim if we didn’t find them (like other companies have done) they took the time to help us open boxes until they were found. They definitely went above and beyond and I wish our future moves could be the same company/drive team.

Everything was placed where desired and with care not to damage our newly constructed home. Improvised to reassemble our bed after discovering, to no fault of their own, two key pieces of hardware were missing. I've moved eight times in 15 years, and I'm always skeptical of moving companies. I've had moving companies damage my stuff, not show up on time, poorly communicate about pricing, or just engage in unethical practices. Stewart Moving was COMPLETELY AMAZING start to finish. I called and spoke to a representative who said they would send out a specialist to give us a custom quote; none of the other companies that I called offered that service. Kassie came out and walked us through what the price would be and how we could potentially save money with things we could do ourselves in preparation for the move. From that point, Amanda coordinated the move with me perfectly, answering all of my questions and ensuring that I was aware of all updates. On the move day itself, the team came on time and finished in only five hours. Joe, Francisco, Desmond, and Alex were very efficient, friendly, and were careful with our things. I made sure to tip them well (tip your movers!) because they were the BEST moving team I have ever had. I will be using this company exclusively in the future for any other moves that I need to make. Stewart moving is one of the best vendors I have ever worked with!

The crew that dropped off my unaccompanied bags did so in about 20 minutes. Time is not always of the essence, because I literally had all day BUT they delivered my items with the utmost care. No bumps or scratches on my walls, floor or door... They looked extremely professional and spoke in a professional and respectful manner despite my high anxiety. Not to mention I also live on the third floor in a building with NO elevator. I’d highly recommend this crew and moving company to help with your moving needs. Moving is stressful, so I was prepared for this unpack to be a headache. Well, I was so wrong! Matt, Tom, & Aaron made it so easy to not worry about anything.. they were friendly, timely, efficient, organized, and respectful. They are extremely hard workers! Stewart Moving & Storage delivered our HHGs that came from an overseas assignment. Before the crew came out, they went over the COVID19 Protocol. This ensured that my family and the crew would remain safe during the delivery. The crew showed up prompt, in uniform, and they all introduced themselves. Despite it being hot, they all kept their masks on. They even did a great job trying to decipher the Korean writing on our boxes!! Best move I’ve had in years of military-related moves. The headman, Matt, was professional, organized, helpful, and had pulled together an obviously skilled crew. They laid down plastic sheets everywhere to protect the carpet and wood floors and covered the corners of walls to protect them (and our furniture) from dents and scrapes. They put all our complicated furniture together except for one piece that was missing some hardware - obviously left out during the prior move. They left the house without any dings, moved furniture around when we asked, and were efficient, respectful, and hard working. In addition to being professional and organized, the team (Thomas, Aaron, Jose, and Jacob) were just good people. Thanks, guys, for a really pleasant move in. I wish I could have you for my future moves as well!

My water heater burst and the Restoration Company I used did not want to take responsibility for my office furniture because of the value. Their team James, Mike & Trey had to disassemble my furniture and move it and crate it up for storage. They did reassure me that they would take care of me and they did exactly what they promised me. James, Mike & Henry returned my furniture and re-assembled it and put it in its rightful place. This team went above & beyond to satisfy me, from the first call I made to Jim, then assigning me to Amanda, whom did an Outstanding Job to make sure I had what I needed. I sent photos because this furniture was solid wood and heavy as hell to move. Stewart Moving & Storage you deserve 10 Stars, 5 Stars is not enough. Bravo!
