This was our second move with 495 Movers. We were very happy with both moves. Josh provided an excellent in-person estimate. The crew arrived promptly and secured a great spot for the truck in our apartment complex. Our items.were carefully wrapped. We experienced no damage to our furniture. The crew worked quickly and were helpful moving our items to just the right space in our new home, even moving them around so we could see how they looked the best. Cleanup was excellent. We highly recommend them!

We are very pleased with our recent move with 495 Movers. They were prompt, careful, friendly and so easy to work with. Our moving consultant Patrick came and provided an accurate estimate and helped us understand what to expect, all of the costs and how to prepare. We had not moved in almost 30 years. Autumn in the office kept us informed of plans, helped us get extra boxes and packing material on short notice and was prompt at answering our questions. We packed our small items ourselves so the move was primarily disassembling furniture and packing it along with loading all our boxes safely on the truck. The three movers, Eric, Jason and Julio were terrific. They assessed the move, listened to our special requests and then promptly went about loading the truck. Even though we had some bulky and awkward items they were careful and moved everything out of our old home and into our new home without incident.They set up the items in our new home and placed boxes where we designated. While moves are often challenging, 495 Movers did a great job of making our move a success.

From top to bottom I had a great experience with 495 movers. Their time-based pricing was clear and transparent from the very beginning. They really do include all the packing materials you want in the price of your move. I picked up about 100 boxes and a dozen rolls of tape about a month before the move no problem. Movers were courteous and professional. Would highly recommend these guys to anyone else.

The 495 Movers team was wonderful; from the first meeting to completing the move, the experience could not have been easier. The guys who actually moved me were nice, respectful and fun to work with. I have very heavy furniture and they carried it up and down a couple of flights of stairs (in both houses) with ease, put all furniture back together and made sure the boxes were placed in the rooms where they belonged all while maintaining a great attitude! I would highly recommend 495 Movers to anyone who needs moving services.

We hired 495 movers for a local move. They are a very professional company ,and were very helpful in every aspect I could imagine. I had requested quotes from different companies. 495 movers stood out as the most professional out of the all. From my first phone call to two days after the move, they were constantly in touch with me. The initial quote was exact match with the actual price. They even delivered the boxes and packing material for an additional 100$. You have an option to go collect the boxes yourself at no cost, but I didn’t have the time to do that so it helped a lot. Boxes and packing supplies are included in the moving cost. On moving day, I received a call half an hour in advance to let us know they will be there. They were very respectful of our property and handled everything with a lot of care. Customer service reached out in the middle of the move to check of everything was going fine for me. Then two days later, they gave me another call to check how things went with the move. Their prices were the same as the other movers I talked with.They supplied with two trucks and an extra person to help finish the move in time. So the real cost came very close to the estimate. I have done 5 moves in the past 15 years and this one was the most easy one because of this company. Latoya and Heavens from customer service were a pleasure to work with :)

Best movers I have ever used! Having made several major 4+ BR house moves over the years, I can say this is the first time I had zero complaints. My initial online inquiry was responded to immediately and the office staff was upbeat, friendly, detailed, and professional. When I picked up the free packing boxes, that staff was very accommodating as well. Then, on moving day, the crew arrived on time, thoroughly explained the paperwork, worked efficiently and well together, and were extremely careful with everything. Unloading the truck for the move-in went seamlessly as well. No damage and no issues at all. The pricing is definitely a bit higher than some other area movers but the peace of mind made it all worth it!!!

We used 495 movers to move my mom out of her home of 65 years. The service was beyond expectations. Everything was taken care of, wrapped in blankets and shrink wrap, carefully placed on the truck. Boxes all moved efficiently. The house was packed up in less than 2 hours, and unloaded in about the same amount of time. Victor and his crew made moving an excellent experience. My mom can't speak highly enough of this experience. Thanks for making this move easy for our family!

They are a little expensive but they get the job done well. I forgot something when I first had them move my stuff and they were able to drive back and come get it. The items all arrived quickly and without damage. The staff were all very polite and called me to make sure everything was good. Like other movers, they have a range of date for when they guarantee decliners of your items, but one of their reps reached out and told me that they had someone else moving to where I was moving and thus could make delivery on an exact date within one day of picking up my items, which I though was very nice. Overall, good experience and would use them again.

In one word I can describe 495 Movers as AWESOME!!! I needed to schedule long distance move. I called the office and was transfer to Roee. He helped me with scheduling and kept me inform on the status. The day before delivery he informed me on the time of delivery and said the driver will contact me that morning. The driver sure did, he called and gave me the time he will arrive and he came a little earlier, what a great surprise!!!! The driver was very polite and professional. Great company! Will definitely use again! I had to change my moving date last minute due to an apartment flooding and I received no fees or complaints. All of my packing materials were free and of good quality (you’ll get plenty and can come back for more). The movers arrived 30 minutes early (they also called me to tell me they were on their way) and moved my items 2 hours away and unpacked the truck before noon. I was kept in the loop every step of the way and received a check in call before, during, and after. It was easy to schedule the move and the office is VERY clear about pricing and I wasn’t hit with any hidden fees. I actually paid about $400 less than the estimate (and you can pay by Zelle!). The movers were very nice and conversational. They made the process much less stressful. None of my items or walls were damaged. This will be the only moving company I use while living in Maryland. I wish they had out of state moving because now I don’t trust anyone else besides 495 movers.

I have moved 9 times in 12 years and these were by far the best movers. They were extremely careful with my newly painted walls and new carpeting and they were done three hours in advance of the estimated time. They worked hard and never even took a break. I have had movers who stood around, took 39 minute breaks every two hours and slow walked it. Not 495!! They are the best. I will definitely use again!!

I used 495 movers for part 2 of an interstate move (they were the local movers). I loved the upfront pricing - no surprises. They made packing boxes and materials available to me which was great. I prefer packing my boxes. There were a few things that I didn't get to, but the crew packed them for me. Their labeling was a little bit hit or miss but otherwise much appreciated. Overall, professional yet friendly. Efficient. I'm not as young as I used to be 😁, and neither are my friends! I highly recommend 495 for your next local move. Hopefully, this was my last!

The office quoted me a price which I agreed to and paid, once the movers came the price was different, about $270 more. I was quoted for 4 hours but the job took 2.5 hours As far as the movers that came, Milton Contrers and his helper came out and moved everything. He was great ! Very professional, kind, and helpful. The movers arrived as a team working together throughout the house packing our valuables safely and securely . They were pleasant and extremely efficient . Nothing in our house was damaged despite large and bulky furniture being carried down a large flight of stairs . Floors were covered and the job was done without a scratch anywhere to the home . I reached out to this company after getting a recommendation from a local FB group. The staff were very professional, communicative and the price was affordable for what I needed done. I was hospitalized a few weeks prior to my move so I wasn't able to do a lot of purging (unfortunately). Despite that setback on the day of the move the team packed everything very neatly and completely. They were on time and extremely efficient. So much so I was able to shave a few hundred dollars off of my final bill. I highly recommend this company.

Moving is widely regarded as an insanely stressful ordeal, but 495 Movers was the opposite. Autumn was very professional over the phone and provided me with an estimate that was near exactly what the final price came out to be after weighing my goods. They're not cheap, but I wanted perfection and zero stress and that is what I got. They were extremely transparent throughout the whole process and I never felt like I was being stiffed. There were ZERO surprise charges. Compared to the nightmare of my last moving company, it was like going from a 1990s Nissan to a brand new BMW. I cannot talk about 495 Movers without talking about Milton. I paid for a $500 pack of all my possessions, which was performed quickly and flawlessly by Milton and his crew the day of my move. I was able to enjoy my apartment unpacked up until moving day and not stress about packing all of my possessions. $500 is a bargain for that kind of relief. To my surprise, Milton returned to move my possessions in after a long distance move from Arlington, VA to Massachusetts. I did not lift a finger for the entire move. He was not only incredibly professional, but quick as well. Not to mention, he has some great stories from his times in the entertainment industry! He is definitely a strong asset to 495 Movers, and the majority of my 5 star rating can be attributed to him. Definitely a stand-out employee that 495 s retain by any means necessary. The only constructive criticism I have to give to 495 Movers is that I dealt with too much physical paper work. Throw it all on DocuSign! Just a personal preference. I am sure many customers prefer the paper contracts as well.

I Have to admit I’m skeptical of movers/brokers but these guys areTop rate movers who exceeded my expectations. They gave us an in-person quote for an out of town move to Florida & did not up charge! They keep you informed on every stage of the moving process. The packing, loading, transport & delivery was 1st class all the way! The answered very question I had even after hours!

The movers were excellent and the customer service and scheduling was all very excellent. The fifth star is price. It’s a bit pricy for a retired senior on a retirement income, which is a whole different category of movers for different reasons and are not physically able to DYI their move like younger folk. I admit to having accumulated a lot of stuff over decades though but did shed practically all my furniture. So if they could consider this and possibly offer a senior discount in the future to those movers, they might get that fifth star.

The team was not only prompt, they were very courteous and efficient with the move. Gustavo (I apologize if the spelling is incorrect) was very polite and kept me involved throughout the process. The move took a little longer than I expected, but that is on me, I need to get rid of some of my stuff (lol). The only issue that I encountered was paying for the services rendered at the end of the move. I was told that Zelle was an option; however, certain banks will not allow a transaction of no more than $500 a day. My advise would be to have customers check with their banks the day prior to the move to ensure that there is no issue with the payment. Absolutely amazing! My move took over 12 hours, and had two separate parts with storage in between. The crew that was sent did an outstanding job! Very courteous, professional, and great work ethics! I don’t believe I saw them ever stop for more than a quick breather or a drink of water. They never stopped moving! Highly motivated and respectful. Book them if you need a quality mover that respects you and your belongings! Oh and don’t forget to tip, the workers don’t get paid much!

I moved with 495 movers on 5/19/22 from DC to Brooklyn, NY. Great experience from estimate to delivery. The movers were very professional and careful with all my boxes, and moved quickly and efficiently. They were very communicative during the whole process, called me multiple times to confirm the move, and on the day of the move kept me updated on there whereabouts and were on time. I would 100% recommend 495 movers for an intercity move.

I had an excellent experience with 495 movers. Milton and his crew were fast, hard workers, had all the right tools, and took great care of my belongings. These guys were working on a day where the temperature was 95 degrees and humidity was 95%. They moved me out of a 1 bedroom highrise apartment--an extremely long carry--and into a 3 story townhouse. They carried heavy furniture all the way to the top. Hardworking guys who I respect tremendously. It was my first time hiring movers as opposed to moving myself with some friends. This was well worth the price and I would use 495 Movers again in the future. I knocked off one star only because the next day, when I went to inspect my apartment to make sure I hadn't left anything behind and to turn in my keys to management, I saw that the movers had not packed my bathroom. Now this is arguably my fault: I hadn't packed it ahead of time and I wasn't present when they were finishing emptying out my apartment. I recently had the pleasure of using 495 Movers for a local move. They were the most professional, most responsive, and most expeditious moving company with whom I have worked—and I have moved several times in the last 20 years. We did a FaceTime call to go over the particulars of the move, which was very safe and efficient given the spike in Covid. We received a bid very comparable to other movers, however the 495 Movers bid included tape, paper, moving boxes, and other necessities. The day of the move, Santos called a half hour before the team’s arrival. His team worked diligently and efficiently, showing the utmost care for all our valuables. Would absolutely hire again. They sent four guys to move our house, and finished ahead of schedule (and thus our bill was lower than the initial estimate). They took care to wrap all the fragile items that we had not packed, such as the TV, monitors, framed pictures, and furniture. Nothing was damaged from what I can tell. They also let me pick up as many boxes and rolls of tape as I needed beforehand so that we could prep. The only issue in the end is that they did not remember that I had put a deposit down when doing the final paperwork, so make sure that you have that receipt handy. But overall they made this part of the move pretty stress free.

They also gave us tips about how to pack, and what we should move on our own. They also supplied free boxes (I ended going to their location twice to get them). Thus, we were very well prepared on moving day. They were careful with all the furniture (wrapping it, etc.) and nothing was damaged during the move. The total move ended up taking only half the time originally envisioned (probably because we were well prepared), so the final cost ended up much lower than the original estimate. We were very satisfied with their services and highly recommend them.

I hired 495 Movers to move my 2 bedrooms apartment from Virginia to Florida. It was self-packed. Their price is competitive and they offer free boxes. Their quote was well spelled out on paper and it was based on volume instead of weight, which I found to be more reasonable than other movers. Here are the pros and cons for each team. Pickup Team: They arrived earlier than scheduled time and did a great job, but with few hiccups at the beginning. They were given wrong quote from the office. The foreman also wanted me to sign the blank contract so they could start moving my items into the truck then give me the final price. I didn't agree because that seems sketchy as they can name any price once my items are on the truck. So I went back and forth with him until he agreed to fill out the contract and inventory list then I signed and paid him. Everything went smoothly after that. They wore mask, wrapped all my furniture well and handled each items carefully. Drop-off Team: They arrived on time and wore mask. However, during the middle of unloading items into my new apartment, one of the movers carelessly broke the kitchen light cover. It was morning move so the team was rushing. Photos were sent to the office. Building management is still assessing the damage as of this writing. I'm also checking if anything else were damaged as some boxes were mishandled. Final thought: 495 Movers has potential to do better. If possible, pick afternoon or evening move as their movers are less rush. Make sure their contract and inventory list are all filled out before you sign and let them move your items into the truck. From experience, I found that telling movers in advance that you'll tip them for doing good job, they usually perform better. Overall, this company is recommended but proceed with caution as noted above.

I had an interstate move and I researched so many companies for days and read volumes of horrific reviews about so many moving companies and I was not feeling comfortable about hiring anyone to move my stuff. I finally came across 495 Movers and could not believe how great the reviews were compared to all of these other well known large moving companies out there. The great reviews sold me and everyone was right, they really are a 5 star company. The customer service was great, I had no issues getting in touch with anyone and everyone I spoke to by phone with questions, etc. was extremely helpful. They were able to move my items within days of my initial phone call, to my surprise. They made space on a truck going the same direction which saves you money. The movers are professional and take care of items like they are moving their own stuff. They disassembled and reassembled furniture which was extremely helpful and not a thing was missing or damaged. On pickup, all the movers were from 495 Movers to pack up, but at the drop off destination there was only one 495 Mover employee and two others that provided local help from another company. 495 Movers arrived on time, the two movers from the local company were late. To not cause any further delay, our 495 mover Santos started to unload lighter items himself up 3 flights of stairs! The other movers came not long after and were also very good and professional. 495 Movers is efficient, extremely hardworking and has professionally trained movers. If you are having trouble finding a good company like I was, look no further you will not be disappointed.

Other movers will seem to be intentionally lagging during your move in order to charge a higher rate for more time spent, not these guys! Other movers will skimp on the material used to protect your items, not these guys! UPDATE: in response to review, customer service reached out and was helpful in addressing our issues and providing a remedy. Updating review accordingly. Company is very responsive until they make a sale (*note that the actual movers were wonderful*) and then there is a steep drop off in communication - radio silence! I was very disappointed with the communication and lack of professionalism with the ops team during our long distance move to Chicago on 8/6-8/8. I have now tried multiple times, with multiple persons, to have a discussion of what went wrong. I was promised return calls and never heard anything, thus the reason for this review. For the expensive price tag of a pack and move, you can find a company that actually responds to your questions and concerns! Our issues were as follows: (1) Not at all proactive with communication. The day before delivery, the company reached out to tell us there was a delay with our delivery. We were understanding and were promised an update between 9-10am the next morning, which we never received. At noon, after calling 10-12 times and trying multiple extensions, I finally reached someone who was able to provide an update. (2) In our agreement, 495 Movers promised us 3-4 delivery persons for unloading in Chicago. This is a main reason we chose 495 movers. However, only 2 movers were at the delivery end of our move. The delivery was late (as described above) and had fewer people than promised so it took well into the evening. We reached out to customer service, and to our sales rep Josh (twice before getting a response!), for a resolution - or at the very least an understanding of why this happened. We were very clear with our concerns. Josh promised a response from him or someone else at the company the next day. 4 days later, still haven't heard a peep.

They loaded our furniture and items on a Monday, and delivered them to our Dayton address on Wednesday. They reassembled every item that had required disassembling. An extremely stressful move Customer beware: despite all the positive reviews 495 Movers is just as shady as the the rest of the moving companies. For our move from VA to FL I'm giving five stars to the movers and 1 star for management. The movers in Virginia were amazing. Extremely fast and professional. The movers in FL were also good but they were not part of 495. The reason I'm giving one star to management is that Josh, the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, who came to our house to give our estimate lied out of his "#@. I don't know how this man can live with himself. He won us over by ensuring us that 495 movers is different (and therefore more expensive) from all the other companies because they only use their own crew. What happened? They picked up our stuff, outsourced the operation to another company, which then delivered our stuff in Florida. The most stressful part about the move was that Josh gave us a fairly accurate estimate but when the movers were done picking up our furniture in Virginia, they greatly overestimated the square footage they used in their truck. The foreman who oversaw the move wouldn't leave until I signed the contract. After an already exhausting day I spoke to three different managers who used every trick in the book to make me agree to sign. I finally got a hold of Josh who ensured us he would get us to the original estimate. Mind you, they actually packed less furniture than originally estimated so the quote should have been less. Next day, I get another quote, and they add even more square footage bringing up the price a couple thousand dollars. I had to fight and fight and fight. Of course in Florida they did the same %$#^ to us again. I jumped in the moving truck when it arrived and took a picture of the square footage (exactly what I had estimated) but of course they said it was going to be more. I hope this review will help future customers to stay away from this company.

These guys were amazing - start to finish. We moved all the contents of a 3 bedroom house (including an upright piano from another location) out of state (from NYC to Lehigh County, Pennsylvania) to another 3 bedroom house and they were able to provide a fair estimate of how many movers and trucks they would need via a couple of video calls. They confirmed our info a week before the move. They didn't show up on time on the day of the move - they showed up EARLY! Amazing. 6 guys and 2 trucks and they worked their butts off. They were nice, professional, didn't break anything or damage the walls/floors. I was really impressed. They disassembled a bunk bed and 2 tables and reassembled them all when we got to the final destination. They worked from 7:30am-10:30pm and were great the entire time. Moving usually sucks, but these guys made it so easy on us. Knowing full well that they were not the cause of that incident it has been busted for a while, they still brought out their tools and fixed my dresser. Service above and beyond! Other point (not as major, but still speaks volumes as to their employees). They were done with their job, but saw me struggling lifting a box to unpack something that I needed and they decided to helped me out. Totally didn't have to do that (I wouldn't have thought anything of it; I had even already paid and tipped them), but they went out of their way to help. Even without all that, they did an amazing job. They packed everything up so quickly, disassembled our TV and boxed that up, disassembled and wrapped our furniture, in fact they wrapped everything (I mean everything) for protection. Highly recommended! Everything they disassembled they reassembled at the new house. AMAZING!!!

She said that they use Elite for long time and I should call them. Our move was quite challenging, we had to start on Friday 5.00pm and have it all done and set for Monday 8.00am We had 12 guys and 4 trucks for every day and I need to say that I do understand why Motion use and recommend this company. I worked with this guys for 3 days what a great guys, everyone was great. We had everything done Sunday after noon. Marvin and Tito did a fantastic job with delivering, unloading and unpacking at my new home. They were friendly, professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. First, they were able to get a semi into a tight spot, on a narrow old road that gets a lot of traffic, on a hill that is easily 45+ degree angle upward. During the move, we found that the hardware for my bed was packed in some unknown box by the original moving company. I was about to give up and sleep on the mattress on the floor, but they were determined to find the hardware to build the bed frame. They went through the inventory list (where it wasn't listed), opened boxes and found the hardware, then assembled the bed. After 3 weeks of sleeping on an air mattress, I was so grateful to have a bed again! Marvin and Tito are really experts, as they moved a loveseat up stairs and a fridge through a doorway, both of which I was convinced wouldn't fit. They were kind, with a "can do" spirit and worked quickly - making the delivery process a breeze. Thanks Marvin and Tito!!

Much more manageable with their help My International took a stressful complicated move and turned it into something much more manageable for us. We relocated back to Tel Aviv Israel to be closer to family after our daughter was born. The team walked us through the custom process which we hadn't dealt with for many years and a lot new rules had been put in place since then. We couldn't have done it without them. I have dealt with a moving company before and the overall costs was WAY overpriced, which was why I was skeptical about moving again. However, I was moving to a bigger apartment and after a whole year of buying new things and clothes, it was impossible to be all moved out in such short time. Moved home of 4 from Rockville to Silver Spring. They sent a person who gave an estimate and explained all the options well. The movers themselves were kind professional hard workers who actually finished everything under time and so we were charged less than our estimate. Although perhaps higher priced than some competitors, the service was what you pay for - excellent.

Very positive experience. Tom was our point of contact over the phone. He was very professional, thorough, and timely in all communication. The final cost was exactly what was quoted. There were no surprises. The three men who moved us were all friendly. Moving was smooth, there were no problems. There was a confusion about the fee for credit card payment and they gave me the benefit of the doubt rather than fighting about it which is just great customer service. Highly recommend to anyone!

The best experience I have ever had. The service was efficient and right on point starting from the call to the end of the movement. FCL (Full Container Load) shipping was the best option as far as getting a good deal so we went for that. We didn't mind our stuff in a shared container at all as long as nothing turned up missing or damaged. And nothing did. Communication with management was good which kept us feeling positive about working with them. Lots of patience was exercised because it takes weeks but that was all voiced to us before the transaction so no negative surprises came into play, all positive.

They are definitely more expensive but I was able to lock in the price, unlike most places who wanted to only give estimates until the final payment = upcharges. However, it took 12 days to get to us after being told 8, and we found out our stuff had been placed into storage despite us being ready to receive in 2 days. In addition, five items were broken, three of which were important pieces... We're currently waiting to see if we'll be reimbursed thru the third party.
