It is a stressful time and many of us have had horrible experiences with simply awful moving companies. All too often the typical mover arrives late, is understaffed, exhibits little care for your treasured possessions and charges too much for their poor service. Based upon my moving experiences – both short and long distant moves over the last three decades - Rye Moving & Packing stands in sharp contrast to the typical moving company and especially the large national van lines. Moving with Rye Moving & Packing is a delight by comparison. During our recent move with Rye, our sensitive and fragile possessions were handled with care. Pricing for the move was fair and transparent with no surprises. The moving crew and owner/operator (Logan Rye) arrived on time each day. The moving crew seem to enjoy working with Logan. Logan himself is polite, attentive, organized and is directly involved with the work at hand. We found Logan to be responsive to our questions and informative throughout the move. My advice is to stay far away from the large national van lines and give Logan at Rye Moving & Packing a call. Prepare yourself for a more satisfying moving experience.

We moved out of our home about a year ago in preparation for an extended renovation. We hired Rye Moving based on highly positive recommendations from a couple neighbors. Rye Moving was responsive, informative and timely as we prepared for our move. We had logistical challenges at both ends of the move due to road, terrain and access limitations. Rye Moving handled them very well and we were completely satisfied with the movers and our overall experience. We returned to our home a couple weeks ago and again hired Rye Moving based on our previous, overwhelmingly positive experience. Rye Moving did not disappoint. The movers arrived on time, were professional, worked hard to handle some special items and moved everything without any damage. We strongly recommend Rye Moving and would use them again (but hopefully not anytime soon!).

Logan and Dominic have helped me move twice. They are the best movers and definitely worth the money. Logan is very courteous and makes sure every piece is moved to the exact spot you want it. I don't enjoy moving but with Logan in charge you will have a pleasant time. The first time it took 2 hrs, the second time they moved my mom and I into a new home. It took 4 1/2 hours. Our experience was nothing short of fantastic with Logan, and his team of Will and Dominick to handle our massive moves. We staged the move in 3 different days, including trips to our storage units. As the owner, Logan put us at ease immediately with wanting to hear exactly how we wanted each section of our home to be handled. He has the ability to move swiftly and gracefully and go hours on end without appearing tired. All our furniture was carefully wrapped and loaded. They were extra cautious with my mother's extremely heavy antique piano, which I still play, so it was important to me that no damage occur. And none did! Once in the new house, he and the team would position (and reposition) the heavy furniture until it was centered or where we wanted it. He's very detailed oriented, punctual, solves problems and makes suggestions. We will use Rye for all our moving needs in the future due to our trust in his skill set, honesty and punctuality. On the day of the move, they were on time and did an excellent job in moving all our items to our new location. They were very good at asking us where things should go and if anything should be repositioned before they left. Everything arrived in great condition. The move actually took less time than originally estimated so we paid a lower price. It was a very professional job! Several days after the move, we noticed that one small item was missing and contacted them. They confirmed that they had the item and brought it to the house in a timely manner. Summary: Logan and his crew were very personable and professional to work with. Without a doubt, it was the most pleasant, issue-free move that we have had.

I highly recommend Rye Moving & Packing for all of your moving needs. Logan is a hard working, timely, honest & kind person. I was given Logan's # from his previous employer. I had a really lousy experience the day before with another moving co. I was moving (2) 26ft Uhaul trucks to AVL & I had to place our items both at our new house & a storage unit. The other crew of (2) ppl were 1.5 hrs late, smelled of alcohol & were mostly useless. I ended up doing all of the heaving lifting. With a day rife with issues the other crew only unloaded 1/2 of one of the 2 trucks. The manager @ the storage unit felt sorry for me as he witnessed my miserable day. He recommended Logan's previous co. & gave me their #. When I called they were booked up & could not help for several days. I expressed my desperation & they very kindly relayed Logan's # & told me he was awesome & that they were sorry to have lost him but that he had started his own co. & that they could not recommend him highly enough. Logan & Alex came out upon wrapping up another job & instantly began to help me unload the 2 trucks in an orderly & skilled manner. There is definitely a skill in moving properly & they displayed that throughout the day. They helped me finish unloading at the storage unit & followed me to the house. We only had about a 2" clearance on the drive on either side for the truck & Logan skillfully drove the truck up a tricky driveway with ease & then completed my move from there taking great care with all of our belongings. We have an antique apothecary cabinet that is nearly impossible to move. Previously we have had to take out all 72 drawers which is a move in & of itself. We then had to move the body of the cabinet & then put all drawers back in. Logan & Alex mood the entire cab with all drawers intact. He said it was heavier than a grand piano but they did it with great care without a hiccup. I had another truck show up the following week & I called Logan who came out right on time & again helped me with unload @ both locations. It was a very hot few days but no complaints only an ever willing nature to assist with all of our needs. Do yourself a huge favor & hire Logan Rye with Rye Moving & Packing. You will be so happy you did. Take some of the unpleasantness out of your move & let Logan & crew help with what they are very good at....safely & securely moving your belongings as if they were their own. I have several small & large moves planned in my future & I am so glad to know that Logan & crew will be there to help effectively & efficiently take care of those needs. Lastly, I mentioned previously but Logans kindness is heartfelt & evident in all of your interactions with him. You will have a smooth & seamless move & feel really good about employing such a wonderful person.

We had all our belongings in 4 PODS and hired Logan Rye & crew to unload them for us in our new home. They worked around our schedule of the POD delivery and pick up times and did a great job. They are very conscientious and courteous workers. Logan took great care in wrapping and making sure nothing was damaged going in and out of doors. We even asked them to take a few pieces back out once we saw we didn't want to keep them. They were great about everything we asked of them. I highly recommend using them for your moving needs. BTW: we used a couple of movers to LOAD the pods in MI and ended up with some damaged pieces and I'm sure had we had a team like RYE, that would not have happened.

I chose Rye Moving & Packing based on my new apartment manager recommending them. Logan returned my phone call shortly after I left a message. He was familiar with both the place I was moving from and into. I told him it was a one bedroom, he didn't need to take a look at my stuff which I thought was great. We set up the appointment. A few days later, I called to see if he could move me a few days earlier, and he could. Major points! This saved me a lot of money with my former apartment manager, I was impressed with his flexibility. On the day of the move, he and his team arrived promptly and got to work. They were very careful with my things, took the bed apart quickly, and steadily got me out. They took a short lunch break - off the clock- and we met at my new place. They managed everything up the three flights of stairs like it was nothing. They were patient as I directed them where to place the furniture - they really wanted to make sure everything was in its proper place before they left. It was as enjoyable as a move can be! I highly recommend Logan and his team. I also recommend Logan for his handyman skills. A few weeks after my move, I hired him to hang up pictures, mirrors, planters - he's a real pro. Everything was hung professionally with great care, no wasted time. Two friends have also used Rye Moving for their move and raved about him. I couldn't have been more pleased!

First off let me say that the RYE team arrived at my apartment right on the dot at 9 in the morning. Not only were they highly professional but also gentle and cautious when they moved my furniture and other belongings from my apartment to my new house. They provided mattress covers and even boxed up my TV and offered to box anything up we had not yet got to. I have never worked with such an exemplary moving company ever. The crew consisted of two men, including Mr. Rye himself. They were both incredibly nice and made the move significantly less stressful than anticipated. They were delicate with my valuable items and my larger things such as my couch were no trouble for them either.
