We contacted Alison's relocation on a Friday afternoon and had a container dropped by Tuesday. We had originally made a reservation with another company and they failed to deliver. Alison's saved the day! Quick and helpful communication the whole time. I've had bad experiences in the past where I was charged much more than originally quoted for my move. Alison's invoice came in just as expected with good service. Moving to/from AK is hard enough. Do yourself a favor and contact Alison's Relocation.

Really impressed with the move. Local movers were friendly, on time, easy to work with, and went out of their way to make packing everything easier. The trouble is moving everything to the lower 48 and handing off the reigns to another company. We had some frustrations with this, delays and poor communication but the when the owner of the company caught wind of this she acknowledged the inefficiencies and personally made it right. They flew a local driver from Alaska to Montana to drive our stuff to Missouri. I was really impressed with the response.

Alisons Relocations is a top notch company with very experienced, helpful and careful movers. I moved from one side of town to another and they moved my entire household in a day. They were careful to ask which box went to which room at the new place. They put plastic down on the carpeted stairs and floors before moving items in. I had everything packed and labeled before they loaded the truck. They wrapped up the mattresses and set the beds back up at the new house. I would highly recommend Alisons to anyone needing a moving company.

Communication with the office staff was easy and clear, the price was reasonable, and the crew was great with my mom and careful with her belongings (including her china collection). Alison Relocations staff were extremely helpful. They really worked with us when we had questions and inquiries about prices/time/and how to ship. They will ship your guns and ammo! Which was nice for us who is a hunting family. They also were more then happy to ship a car with out stuff if we needed. We had a budget and most movers were way over the price that we could settle with sadly. Alison’s prices were very reasonable, they include packers, packing material, and time slotted for the move. Overall the experience was really nice and easy. Our only complaints would be the movers over packed several boxes. It made it hard for our next movers and us to unpack several boxes because we could barely lift them. When it came to unpacking, some of the numbers on the boxes were multiples of the same numbers, it became confusing after a while. I’d give them a 4.5 if I could, they really are a nice company to work with. Overall their a nice small Alaska grown business to work with. I would really recommend them for a family that is moving outside of the military or federal job. Thank you so much Alison! You guys really made moving easy!

We shipped a household full of items from Alaska to Arizona. A few of the boxes looked kind of beat up when we were unpacking, but everything arrived intact, even the glassware. Ben was very helpful setting up the move and giving quotes for our different options. The company was upfront about all costs, and there were no hidden fees or add-ons. I would use Alison's again on our next move.

Alison's is a superb choice for your relocation needs. I have moved quite a few times (25 years of military service) including several overseas moves. This relocation using Alison's was by far the easiest, most carefree and professional experience to date. I strongly recommend employing their services for your relocation needs.

The Alison’s crew was friendly and efficient while packing and loading our belongings in Anchorage. We had. 40 foot shipping container which also had room for our car. The subcontractors in our destination city were also very friendly and efficient. Overall the price was much better than all competitors. Would highly recommend. Thank you Alisons.

Moved from Washington state to Alaska. Ben, Allison’s husband, was exceedingly helpful in every way. When I had a question he responded quickly, when costs were too high he offered suggestions and ways to lower the expense. Ben followed up occasionally throughout the process simply to see how things were progressing with us and how we were doing. Anytime I called the office the staff was equally friendly and helpful. I honestly don’t know how I would have pulled this move off had I not found this company. I am so happy with them this is the first review of a business I have ever take. The time to write. When things went south during my move from Sitka AK to Medford Oregon, Alison's relocation communicated with me throughout the process and even paid my extra stay at an AirBnB as I didn't have a mattress to sleep on anymore. They were incredibly professional and responsive and I recommend them if you're moving from or to Alaska, which to be honest, is a difficult journey. They made it bearable and reassured me and supported me throughout and that has meant the world since it was such a big move. When a couple of items showed up damaged, they were prompt to direct me to the proper channels where I received reimbursement. Recently my family moved from our Anchorage home of 22 years and hired Alison’s Relocations for our move. I very strongly recommend others do the same. Alison’s team handled our move professionally. They were very careful and caring with our family treasures. The packing was very thorough and complete. Even more than those basic moving needs that were so well handled, the moving crew was an absolute pleasure. From the first hours when the crew arrived to the moment they walked out the door, we had a great time. They obviously enjoy their work and each others. It was truly a pleasure to have them having fun in our house. Moving is stressful enough that you don’t need to worry about the movers. Interestingly when we arrived at our destination, the team that helped us move into our new home were also very happy our move was handled by Alison’s. He answered all of my questions timely and accurately. It was very easy to get the ball rolling and they worked with my sudden notice. The movers in my area were great and helpful. Alison's did a decent job of getting our move from AK to ID completed but there were quite a few inconsistencies in what was said initially and what actually went down. First the good. They moved all our stuff from point A to point B with minimal breakage. I can take the blame for all of the breakage as it was probably how we packed and loaded it. Our vehicle arrived there as is had left Anchorage. No complaints there. Price was reasonable also. The bad is as follows. Many things that were said during our home visit aren't how it went down with the quote. They have some disfunction at their office and the right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing. We really weren't told that we only had 2 hours to unpack at the destination and we weren't told the details of when the time would start. The two hours started when the vehicle was out of the container. That would have been nice to know. Also they got the delivery address wrong as well as my cell number. The driver attempted to deliver the trailer to the wrong address and he couldn't get ahold of me because he didn't have my correct phone number. Luckily I saw the truck drive by the storage place and ran the guy down. Additionally, I was told that my household goods and vehicle were the only things that were going to be in my container. Not the case. They double dipped and stored a big crate behind our Expedition and never mentioned it. Our driver clued me into their scheme. Overall I was satisfied with the move but way too many inconsistencies, some of which I didn't mention here.

Wow, what a work crew, from the first phone call to inquire to the loading of the truck. The guys did an awesome job wrapping and then loading our furniture and box's. They worked over a 12 hour day and were still smiling and happy right up to the end. Thank you so much

Our recent household goods move was assigned to Alison's Relocations and we had an overall really great experience with them. It started off a little rocky as there was some confusion as to how and where and everything else, but the guys on the ground were awesome and really took care of our stuff. They were careful with the fragile items and made sure to double check if they weren't sure if it needed to be packed or not. They were so nice as to even do a 3rd pick up at no charge (typically only 2 pick up locations are provided in a military pick up). They were professional and curtious, and didn't even smoke or cuss on the property. They get my two thumbs up approval!
