My poor, neglected '96 z1100 wasn't running and I just didn't have the time or inclination to diagnose. Three Kawasaki dealerships wouldn't even look at it, citing age of bike policies! Rob took on the job, fitting it into his backlog - not a problem for me as time was not an issue (after 10yrs and two cross country moves, how could it?) In short order, he got her running - making some modifications to improve her performance, then proceeded bring her up to snuff maintenance-wise. She's now back to "as good as new" operation and I couldn't be happier. I initially engaged his services on a very loose and informal basis, and he kept up his part in the most professional manner. Communications throughout the effort was great, with discovered issues and manner of rectifying effectively conveyed. Final charges for all the work done was very reasonable. Getting the bike to him was a bit of a nosebleed for me (ninety mile trek from Skagit), but this will not hinder my ongoing use of his services in the future.

Thanks Rob for fixing my Z800 Kawasaki, I got brand a new tire, very good deal price and some other issues fixed on the bike. Thanks Rob, for your warm energy and quick work on my bike. I recommend Westedge Cycle for all motorcycle riders in Seattle and elsewhere. Cheers!

I'm leaving a review to thank Rob for taking a look at my old Honda. He quickly diagnosed the issue and gave me great tips. Rob is the old school mechanic you lost when you moved and the right mechanic if you are a daily driver or on tour. Recommend.
thx jrp
Rob does great work. Attention to detail. Quality service. Very reasonable pricing. Westedge will be my "go-to" repair shop.

Rob Westergard is a fantastic mechanic and the best dyno tuner from Vancouver, B.C. to L.A.!
He is caring, competent, and just a really good person.
Rob services all my bikes. Highest regards for him, both professionally and personally.
I recently bought a vintage BMW and Rob expertly installed a Racetech front suspension and Racetech custom rears shocks.
Can't say enough good things about this person!!!

Rob at Westedge is a true motorcycle mechanical expert with acute attention to detail. He adeptly navigated roadblocks in getting parts for my Guzzi during supply chain breakdown. He was responsive, and his cost was better than fair. I intend to return until he stops.

I worked with Rob who i presume is the owner/ manager and i was thrilled with the results. I brought in my 2000 VSTAR for a tune up and he was professional, timely and trust worthy. I cannot stress how much value his shop delivers. That is a big deal to me and i will be coming back. My bike rides so much smoother and the price he gave me was more than fair. I’m new to bikes, and he didn’t take me for a ride.
I’d recommend him 100 percent.

Rob is a great man. Knows his stuff and I can tell he enjoys his work. Brought both my R6 and R3 for repair. He will work with you.
Alex Trapp
Great service. He waited around for me to show up and drop my bike off after business hours. Installed new tires, and did a few extra things that the bike needed and didn't charge me. Very affordable price. I left very happy and would use his service again.
Charles Kaser
Westedge Cycle treated me extremely well. Not only was Rob easy to work with, but he got my suspension parts replaced/ tuned under estimate and ahead of schedule. If you’re looking for more than just a basic “technician” I’d recommend you call.
Byron Richards
Best shop experience I’ve ever had. Worked on my Honda dual sport for less than I thought, quick turnaround, and did some trick services that saved me money and made the bike faster.
Daron Spence
Dropped in for some quick service while on a cross country trip. Westedge Cycle was very helpful and provided great service for a fair price. Even offered some good routes for the next leg of my trip.
If you live in Seattle, or are just passing through, I think it’s worth it to stop by and have them take a look at your bike.

Rob was very friendly and helpful to me right from the very start. He was referred to me by another motorcycle dealership I have worked with over the years. I have a very nice vintage Harley FLH that other shops did not want to work on because of the era of the bike. It was not running when I brought it to him and within a couple days he had it all fixed up and running terrific! When interacting with him I felt like I was his only customer. He will be the person to look after any mechanical details on this wonderful older Harley for me. Thanks Rob, you rock! Figuratively and literally!

Rob is the man! Was able to work on my Ducati, which many places won't. And of the places that said they would, Rob at Westedge cycle was BY FAR the most helpful. I came in, got my rear tire replaced, and he was even able to take care of an impromptu oil change. Along with checking and clearing some codes, and tossing in a couple missing fairing bolts. I recommend Westedge to anyone who cares about their motorcycle, and will for sure be back myself!

I was in a tight spot in the middle of a 4000 mile tour when I got a flat on my Ducati Multi. I explained to Rob and though he was busy he juggled things and took me in. He was very fast and professional and when the tire could not be patched he had a replacement in stock for a fair price all around - I cannot recommend this shop enough.

I read many of the reviews before deciding to bring my bike in. I primarily read bad reviews as I feel they are most informative, and I talked to some coworkers who recommended Rob. I will say the reviews do not do him justice. He is good! He gave me an estimate and said if I go over I’ll call first so no surprises and kept his word. His estimate of time frame was dead on and my bike ran great. On the ride home I had a problem that wasn’t his fault at all but he told me bring the bike back. He fixed the issue to my liking and went way out of his way to make it right. Again a problem beyond his control. I will definitely bring my bike back to him.

My daily rider (1985 Honda Nighthawk) had started giving me some trouble, front brake locked up out of nowhere and was outside of my skill level to fix. Called up Rob and he took the bike on. Not only did he completely fix the issue with the brake but he was able to bend back a peg that I had bent slipping on some leaves this fall. Not only bend it back but paint it to look like new. Completely above and beyond in terms of helping me out. He even let me pick it up outside of regular hours. Super nice guy great shop, the next time I have issues with the bike I know exactly where to take it. Awesome to have a quality shop close to West Seattle.

Rob's work and customer service was exceptional . My 2001 honda has never ran so good !! I will go back , a dependable and trust worthy mechanic

I've been riding by here for like five years would always see a couple of bikes parked outside but never thought it to be a bike shop. I was in the market for an upgrade was interested in one of his personal bikes which belonged to his wife anyway long story short he never called me with an offer but it's okay I now have a nice GV 250 which I will be making an appointment on maintenance. The guy I talked to was super cool and down to earth even gave me a few leads on bikes. It's good to have these guys close to west Seattle
See you guys soon.

I can't possibly say enough positive things about Westedge Cycle. Rob and Justice took such good care of me!
I came to them with a half put together motorcycle that was barely running and an unreasonable time frame.
They went above and beyond to put together two motorcycles for me. Their service is great, they care about their customers, and they made both my BMW and my Ducati feel like brand new bikes that just pulled off the lot.
Can't recommend these guys highly enough, they're my mechanic for life now.

Happened to come upon this gem of a shop. Was riding and stopped in, there I met Rob. I wanted the MR 77 tires for my yamaha R6. He unknowingly undercut his competition. He also was very communicative and genuine. Had the tires ordered they arrived to him in a day and within 5 days I was back for my scheduled appointment.
I bartend so reading people is my gig. The dude knows his stuff. He wasn't trying to take anything extra from me. He replaced my tire stems. He also changed my brake and coolant fluids, which I asked him to do the day I brought the bike in. Then took a look at my power commander after I asked about an issue.
He never hesitated to do the job. I dig no bs, being upfront and candid. All those things I received. My bike is my baby and I will be a returning customer. Appreciate you Rob.

Got my old Honda fixed up and running great after some engine and carburetor issues. Very reasonable price. Will definitely go back in the future if the need arises. 10/10!

Rob and Justice are great guys. Even after riding and wrenching on bikes for the better part of 30 years, I've always been impressed at their vast encyclopedic knowledge of all varieties of bikes. Their work is top notch, and if I'm ever in need of some great conversation on bikes, this is the place to go. Oh, and they have a Dyno!

Westedge recently replaced the tires on my VLX 600. Nice dude. Cool shop. Very fair pricing and fast turn around. Glad to have an awesome bike mechanic close to home. Highly recommend.

Rob is fantastic. My Vulcan 900 had broken down as soon as I got off the ferry at Orcas Island on a Saturday morning. I managed to get it back to mainland and towed it to his shop. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a slipping clutch due to a bad adjustment that happened somewhere else. He adjusted the cable and put a bolt which had broken off in my footrest. He felt my clutch was too far gone to be a safe bet to take the motorcycle to the islands. He offered to keep the bike in his shop and gave me his number to contact him on my way back - on a Sunday when his shop was closed. I came back, texted him and he arrived at the shop exactly when I requested him and had the bike ready to go. I was able to ride it fairly slowly and make it back to Seattle. I was in a bad situation and he got me through it and went over and beyond. I would highly recommend him to any one in the Anacortes area.

I took my Ducati here to have some service work done, the prices are more than fair. The turnover was faster than I expected when rob had 5/6 bikes out front when I brought it over.
Great guy, great business, will be back again.
Junkmech
I get all my motorcycle work done here, which, honestly, is a lot. I don't own a car, instead only riding a motorcycle exclusively. I've had a few majors repair jobs done here, and a ton of small stuff. Price for parts is about average, despite the owner Rob's policy of no online ordered parts, which I honestly understand. Service can sometimes run expensive, but for the quality of work, it feels like it is worth it.

rob was a great guy to work with made an appointment with him dropped off the bike and he even offered to bring it to my house after as I didn't have someone to drop me off when it was done. I've seen other reviews putting him on blast but you should understand he is a one man operation so can't always just get stuff done immediately upon request he'll do his best to fit you in if your in trouble though and get you back on the road. he's thorough in his work and does a great job as they say patience is a virtue and with any good mechanic you wouldn't want someone who would just do the bare minimum and with westedge my bike was running better then when I brought it in and all he was supposed to do was the tires welll he did the tires and a few extras I wasn't even expecting him to i'll definitely be back in for any other service I need
Benjamin Carter
Dude refused to fill and balance my tire. I'm sure he's busy given it's the summer. I'd have paid 50 bucks for 5 minutes of work. The tire was already mounted. Not like it's a scary tire.. motoz tractionator.

These guys know and love motorcycles. Very capable mechanics that treat customers fairly. They've been taking care of my bikes for over 15 years, and I always enjoy dealing with them. So glad to have them here!

I was referred to Westedge Cycle by two different fellow coworkers last october. They informed me that the owner is a great mechanic, the turn around is exceptional, and the prices are better than the competitors in the area. I recently purchased a couple of performance items I wanted to install onto an 2008 YZF R6 in turn to create a track bike. I decided to call Westedge Cycle to get quotes. I informed him that I purchased an aluminum 520 sprocket kit and also I wanted to do an exhaust modification. He told me that he would pass and that these kits wear fast although they do reduce weight (I didn't care about the weight theory all too much and I already knew about the wear pattern of aluminum kit versus steel kits). He also mentioned he had several inquiries for the same modification (which I'm assuming he also passed). In the brevity of the conversation he did not ask about the exhaust modification I wanted to have installed.
BE WARNED: I believe the owner does not feel safe installing items he does not purchase from his sources. Also It may be the fact that it is just more beneficial for his business to order from his vendors. Before you purchase an item and wish to do business through Westedge remember that he may pass.
This is just my experience and a forewarning. Through word of mouth, I have heard his business is small but he is a very reputable mechanic. I gave 4 stars weirdly because its almost comforting to hear a business say "no" and because of the fact that he has riders I know recommending him because of his skill and talent.

Westedge has an excellent work ethic and provides personalized care that I have not found elsewhere. I have had negative experiences with BMW dealers from Ferndale to Lynnwood and because of this I only trust he and his son to work on my bike. I am so happy and thankful to have him to work on my F650GS! Anyone who has anything negative to say is either a troll or has other motives.

Just as the previous post - my first impression is the that Rob is passionate about his work -this repair station is a godsend for those of us that were spoiled by the convenience features of Univerary Honda with its its close in location on Pike Street before they went Tango Uniform....
Rob performed the PFM required - giving the old Shadow her voice and her pick up and go back.
Thanks again Rob!

I've had nothing but great experiences with Westedge Cycle. The owner is very honest and knows his bikes! I've had him do work on two bikes, an '04 R1 and my 2012 Ducati Monster. Very fair with his time and prices.
Phil Taylor
Bought my bike off craigslist and it turned out to have a junk motor... Well after a few months Rob turned it around. Bike is running smoothly with a new motor. I'm very pleased with the care and time Rob took to make sure my bike was taken care of. Thanks again Rob!

Contacted Rob after getting a flat on the I5, downtown Seattle.
He stayed late to make sure the bike got in that evening and he could start looking at it first thing in the morning.
Got us on the way the next day, saving us a lot of stress and headaches.
We were very fortunate to get a hold of him.

Friendly guy. Gave me quote via text. Which was really handy. When I got back to him the following week all I got was voicemail and no call back. I took my 64 triumph to I-90 motorsports instead.
