Reviews of Vallantine Motor Works
Very honest, dedicated mechanics who know what they are doing. If you want your bike done right, these are the guys.
Fast, dependable work. They really know their stuff. Have worked on my BMW R1200c for a couple of years. Excellent work, great price, highly recommend!
Mark and Dana are the best! If you're looking for a major service center type experience, then look elsewhere. But if you're wanting friendly service, honest feedback, and great prices, then Vallantine is for you.
Good guys who know their stuff - especially BMW. The only bike I've brought to them, so I can't speak to their expertise with other makes. They have helped me maintain this bike for the past 3.5 years. I totally trust them and respect any advice or recommendations they make.
I was looking for good and “right” motorcycle mechanic since I moved to Seattle. This place is a best. When I call they were friendly to talk to me, service was quick. I got small problem, then they offer me best solution. For sure to come back next maintenance and custom. Also I am recommend this place for others. Thank you for your work and honesty.
I had and older bikej that had a exhaust compression valve issue that wasn't taken care of under warranty and Dana did the job along with valve clearance adjustment. Bike was back to operating like new. Top quality work, highly recommend.
Understandable how these guy's have a 5 star review. I called with a service question and they answered without hesitation. I had spoken to several other shops prior and and was just givin the run around. They were instantly able to diagnose the issue, and provided a solution. They don't even service my brand of bike. The guy's are a no b.s., quality shop, that's willing to do what it takes to not only earn your business, but ensure that you have a positive experience. I would recommend calling weeks in advance if you're needing work done. With the service these guy's provide, I wouldn't be surprised if they had a decently long waiting list.
It is nice to have a shop where you can count on staff stability. Other bigger shops seem to go through personnel changes at an alarming rate. It makes it impossible to establish a long term rapport between the customer and the technicians. At Valantine you can count on Mark and Dana being there every time, performing honest, qualified work and knowing your bike's quirks. It is my go-to shop for regular maintenance and minor non-warranty repairs (as I've never had any major problems on any of my six GS-s.)
Was unhappy with local BMW M/C dealership service experiences and have been extremely satisfied with Vallantine! I've taken my bike there a couple times now - easy to schedule, thoughtful explanations, excellent workmanship, fair pricing, with ZERO attitude. Just rode home after some routine maintenance (12k) and wow, it's running better than ever. Thanks Vallantine!!
I’ve brought my motorcycle and my parents ones here multiple times. They are great guys, really friendly and top notch service every time.
Although I don’t live close to Seattle it’s still cheaper for me to come here.
They have a lounge upstairs with lots of books, magazines, coffee and sometimes there’s some brews in the fridge.
Thank you!
I recently brought my 2005 R1200RT in for some brake service. I made an appointment for exactly when I wanted it, they did the work in the timeframe they said they would, and were polite, professional and straightforward. I'm new to Seattle but I suspect this will be my go-to place for service moving forward.
Experienced and honest. I've been a customer for 3 years. They fix my commuter bike quickly every time it breaks. Mark and Dana are excellent at diagnosing problems and explaining them to me.
Its a classic motorcycle shop... much better than the butt kissing experience you get at a typical BMW dealer that makes more money selling apparel.
I thought the service was fine, the guys there do one thing.. work on bikes and that's great for me. The only odd thing is the service entrance is the front door off Aurora.
All the original receipts for my BMW were from Vallantine's so I followed up and took the bike there.
I would go there again.
Not only are Dana and Mark the mechanics stunningly handsome, they are competent Beemer wrenches too! Prices are fair and the work goes quickly. They fixed a couple of issues with my '94 oilhead RS and I am well pleased. Thanks guys! I heartily recommend Vallantine Motor Works to any BMW rider. ( Oh, about that " stunningly handsome comment? Well, that's a bit tongue in cheek. )
The reviews are true. Bought a r1200gs with a stripped cylinder stud. Called around different shops for repair quote and only vallantines knew exactly how to fix it and how much it would cost up front. They were well versed on the problem and solution. Bmw lynnwood quoted me 1300 for the repair. Vallantine did it for less than half of that, and finished it in one day. They did a little tune up too, and the bike runs so much better now. To top it off, I was running late on Saturday to pick up my bike and they waited for me after closing hours.
I also asked some fairly obscure questions and they always knew the answer right off the top of their head. They know what they're doing. A+
The Gasoline Alley of Seattle Bike Shops. Love this place. Instead of checking in with a Service Manager and watch your bike disappear into an employees only door you talk to "The Guy" that works on your bike as he puts your bike on a lift in the front room of the shop...and these guys are seasoned professional bike mechanics and owner operators.
Great shop and great staff. Always top notch service. Only mechanic around I trust for my bike.
Very knowledgeable about bmw s and they been there a long time.
These guys took time out if their busy schedule/day to give me a call back and talk to me about what was wrong with my bike knowing they would now work on my bike, it's not BMW; totally super COOL!!! Thanks a million...btw, it was exactly what they said!!!
I took my bike in for an oil change. Vallentine completed the work in an hour. Awesome guys there. I highly recommend them.
These guys are great. The only place in the Seattle are we will take our BMW bikes for service.
Excellent service and attention to detail! I'd heard rumors that they are the best BMW shop in town, and it certainly seems so.
Great service with a friendly, knowledgeable, and competent staff. I highly recommend using them for your BMW motorcycle service needs!
Exactly what we needed in the PNW, an honest and straightforward BMW repair house. Everytime I have stopped by with a question they have stopped what they were doing and graciously answered my questions.
Great service. They know these bikes and fix things the first time.
Best bike techs in town, awesome attitude, service and atmosphere.
No BS knowledgeable service.
Getting eligible people I need some help with my rear brake and they didn't have the necessary Parts but they hooked me up with what they had and went about my ride
Simply the best BMW motorcycle shop in King county!
Awesome shop and great guys. Always willing to help.
Straightforward honest service, with expertise in BMW bikes to spare.
