Reviews of Cycle Gear
Would give more than 5 stars if I could. I live in the neighborhood and had my motorcycle stolen recently. It was spotted a few blocks from this cycle gear weeks later and Derrick helped check on the bike, roll it outside the store, and strap it onto a trailer to haul back home. This guy is incredible! I would definitely recommend checking out this location for gear, incredible service, and knowledgeable staff! Also bought my first helmet here. Don’t forget to lock up your bike!
Super great! As a new motorcyclist I had a long list of things to buy and I didn't necessarily have the experience that would teach me what to look out for. Collyn was very patient with me and my list and gave me great recommendations for gear, what i need for maintenance and what I would be best to prepare to be comfortable on the road. Customer service is super great! Would definitely recommend.
I always have a good experience working with Cycle Gear, if they don't have it in stock they will get it for you right away. They make it very easy to order and pickup or ship to your house. Only dinging them a Star because my item wasn't in stock. I will definitely continue to shop at Cycle Gear.
I came in looking for riding gear (helmets, padding and such) for my electric unicycle. A staff person came out from the back to help me due to lack of front end staffing which is A+ service for todays world. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and understanding of my needs despite that I’m not riding a motorcycle, and adapted what they thought would or wouldn’t work based on that. When the store got busy the person helping me had to help another customer however another staff person came over to continue making sure I got the help I needed. 10/10 would shop there for all relevant needs. Also for those who would make an issue about this there is a employee who is deaf so please don’t throw a fit when you believe that you are being ignored, a little understanding goes a long way.
I really like this bike shop! The people here were really nice and helpful. There is a variety of bike options you can choose from and the staff is ready to help you if you have any questions. I will be coming back if I need any bike repairs!
Fantastic store with helpful employees.
3 Star because every jacket they sell uses the same back protector that sells out every restock. Someone higher up needs to boost their supply so people are not waiting around for months needing a back protector
I've always had great experiences at the Cycle Gears I've gone to, on line or in person. I had one recently that went south to no one's fault. Cameron at the Bellevue, WA Cycle Gear bent over backwards and made things completely whole and once again proved that the "Customer is king." at Cycle Gear. I'll continue to make Cycle Gear my first stop for all of my two wheeled wants and needs.
Thanks again Cameron / Cycle Gear!
Bought my first helmet and gloves! Sam was extremely chill and knowledgeable on any question I asked as a beginner. Highly recommend
Everytime I go to cycle gear they are very courteous and knowledgeable. If they don’t have what I need right away, we are always able to order parts. I have had nothing but great experiences everytime I go. Thank you Cycle Gear you guys are great!!!
I came in just to check out the store and ended up purchasing a helmet and a pair of gloves. The helmet was carbon fiber and it was cheaper than I could find online. The young man that helped me out was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. Overall my experience was great I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for a large variety of gear to shop for. And there prices were as good if not better than shopping online. Thank you for everything you have gained a new customer that will definitely be shopping there again.
I’m a completely new rider who came in looking for a full set of riding gear. Sam was so knowledgeable and friendly it blew me away. He spent a considerate amount of time walking me through each product and going through the pros and cons of each allowing me to come to my own decision when choosing my jacket, pants, and boots.
The employees here have a passion for riding and it really comes through in their service.
Sam even took some time to write down the names of some clubs I could be interested in meeting up with as a new rider.
Really loved my experience here.
Went to the location in Ballard, WA and had a totally pleasant experience, staff was extremely knowledgeable and was able to give me comprehensive pros and cons of all the gear I purchased, without trying to push anything beyond my needs or budget. I will be back!
Lia was awesome. She helped my girlfriend fit a proper jacket, back protector, boots and socks. Lia was knowledgeable and accommodating.
Fantastic as always, the greatest spot in Seattle for any "cycle gear" needed with the most friendly and informative staff you could possibly imagine.
Anytime I need something. CG is the first place I go.
Came into cycle gear with no prior knowledge on gear or riding for that matter. The staff were extremely friendly and helped me pick out a good quality helmet and some gloves. Shoutout to Lia for being patient with all my questions! If you are a new to motorcycling, definitely come check this place out!
When I was told that Lia, who is deaf, would be helping me I wasn't sure how it would go. But as it turned out she is awesome! She knows the product, she's very helpful and communicates very well. Any problems with communication were quickly solved with her tablet using voice to text. She made sure that I got the helmet I wanted at the price I wanted that fit perfectly. By the time I walked out of the shop I knew that this pretty young lady was not handicapped ,she's only deaf.
Thank you Lia!
The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful for a first time buyer/rider. Recommended
The employees at cycle gear were very informative and helpful in helping me find all my gear. They have excellent pro tips for me as I am a new rider and they have great variety of gear in the shop so there is something for everyone!
Friendly and knowledgeable staff and great selection of gear. Big thanks to Kam and Collin for your help with finding the right helmet & gloves for my needs.
Alicia helped me select heated gear so I can comfortably ride 3/4 of the year in the great PNW! She even let me try on her gloves for sizing. No matter when I walk in the the store I am greeted and always get great service. AND they have good quality merchandise. I might be able to but online cheaper but then I couldn't try things on and get expert advise. I really like patronizing this store because they are so awesome!
Sam was very helpful in choosing out some gear for my basic riding course! He also gave a ton of tips relevant to new and shorter riders like me. Absolutely recommended for beginners.
I love the Seattle Cycle Gear! The staff is so helpful. Both Alysha and David spent a considerable amount of time educating me, a new rider, on helmets, gear and parts. Every time I walk into the store I get greeted right as I walk into the store, even if they are busy with another customer. The atmosphere of the store is not like a store where they just want to move on to the next customer, but one where they genuinely care about their customer's needs. I would, and will, highly recommend to anyone that this store IS the place to get all of their gear. Thank you everyone at the Seattle Cycle Gear store for making my experience the best I have ever had.
Immediately upon me entering I was greated, and it felt more than just a hey, it felt warming and genuine. Both staff members were very knowledgeable and you could tell they knew a thing or two about riding. I had an issue with my Bluetooth unit in my helmet and Sam took it upon himself to make sure my issue was resolved to my satisfaction. He went WAY above and beyond to do so. I've never experienced customer service as great as what Sam did. I'll never forget that and will continue to share my experience with others. I've shopped with cycle gear for years and will continue to shop there as long as can ride. Great job Sam. Thank you a million! Cheers!
Very courteous and professional. Listened to questions and helped me find exactly what I needed. Very good people.
I love going to this store. Everyone working there rides motorcycles and is passionate about it. I have bought tires, helmets, bluetooth communication, protective gear and more. Every time their recommendations have been spot on, not about selling me the most expensive equipment, but always helped me figure out what the equipment best suited for how, when and where I ride. Given the risks that come with riding, I wanted to work with people I trust, and I trust the Cycle Gear team at Bellevue and downtown Seattle.
Walked in just to see what they had, and ended up having a great conversation with the two employees who were very knowledgeable. They recommend a tire repair kit, and some new gloves. Nice to have a place where you can get god info and try things on!
Super knowledgeable and friendly staff. I love heading to this shop.
Nice people, good selection of riding gear and parts. The sales people are knowledgeable (prevented me from buying the wrong visor for my helmet and found me the correct one). It's nice to have a store focused on hiring a knowledgeable and customer oriented staff.
Awesome customer care at this Cycle Gear location. Bought a Shoei modular helmet and communications unit and got it installed same day. Going back to this shop next time I need something! I am going to recommend to my friends.
This was my first, and likely only visit to this location, as I am leaving Seattle. The location itself is very cool - it’s perfect for motorcycles as it has very tight parking for a car, so it’s dedicated to bikes. It’s right up the street from the space needle as well, and makes a drive home very convenient.
I had ordered a tool that was only stocked at that location, the person I spoke to on the phone ran over when he realized it was me, quickly got what I had ordered, and I was off - fast, easy, and friendly experience.
Great shop me and my buddy stopped in and they paired our Pactalks for free. Very helpful highly recommend.
Great selection of gear and parts, and a genuinely knowledgeable and helpful staff. Got a helmet that fits extremely well after trying out a couple other models, and was impressed with the general state of the shop. Worth a stop if you need anything to ride in comfort and style.
The woman who helped us at the Seattle location was absolutely wonderful. She was great with my 8 year old daughter while fitting her for the correct helmet. We walked out very happy. She provided a pleasant experience all around.
Staff are nice, helpful, and even offered to help me out in installing some parts I don't have tools for.
This location is smaller than Bellevue but has a ton of stuff.
Staff is quick to remind you of benefits like return policy (generous) and satisfaction guarantee on consumables.
Staff was well mannered and attentive, shop was clean and well organized.
Awesome friendly and knowledgeable staff. Thank you Derek for all your great advice!
staff was super helpful at both stores i went to. but it was a bummer that there was so little selection in the size i needed. and there was also a big gap between models between the cheap $200 helmets and things over $500. i was hoping to spend under $400, and prepared to spend that much, so it was a bummer to settle for a cheaper helmet than i wanted. i was glad to get something for a helmet last night, but i had to drive to another store to get a color i wasn't psyched about. i never found a jacket at all.
i'm sure that's just the typical supply chain/pandemic/everyone buying stuff thing we're all living these days.
If you need apparel, this is the place. If you need a lid, this is the place. If you need a tire mounted, a bike cover, most any accessory and best of all, good advice. This. Is. The. Place. Shop locally and support these guys.
Came in with my husband to help him pick things out and was blown away! SO polite, they heard me say my phone was low and offered me a charger, they helped my husband try on different helmets. Most impressive is they were super truthful about what would work best, even when the best option was less expensive. No upselling, just honest and helpful people. We will be back!
I reserved an item (Sena 50R comm system) online, and went to the store the next day to complete the purchase. The sales rep quickly found the item, and he installed it in my helmet in short order. Everything works as expected, and I am very happy with the process.
Awesome customer service, would recommend to anyone looking for a perfect fit for your first gear and other miscellaneous items you need!
I visited in May 2021 as a first timer checking out motorcycle gear. Recently getting a learners permit, I was learning everything about material, brands, fitting, and what makes gear safe.
Avery was working when I entered and provided the most professional and personal service I've experienced in years. His personal experience and insight on what makes gear best fit was something you can't get from shopping online.
If you're a first timer like me, or just looking to get new gear, this place will surely help you above and beyond. Thanks Avery and the Cycle Gear team.
Things looked pretty hopeless trying to find a large enough jacket for 6’4” me. The first clerk was a retail drone. Didn’t know the inventory nor have any ideas on what my options were.
I went across the store on my own and another employee, a very energetic and helpful young lady, was able to fit me in an Alpinstar almost immediately.
More big and tall selection Cycle Gear !!
Went to this location on 07/12/2021 for the first time. The two folks working the counter were extremely helpful and attentive. Looking for old Ducati parts can be a real hassle and these guys made it easy and fun! Good conversation about all the bikes we’ve had over the years, just a lot of fun! Oh, great prices on solid gear! Got a new Helmut, Summer Jacket and sweet Alpinestar hightops- Thank you, David! Well, I should say, thank you both!
Fantastic knowledgeable employees. One person was new and wasn't sure where all the products were located yet, but he was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The store is well organized and stocked with a large selection. I always find just the gear I need at Cyclegear stores. Parking is a bit of a challenge at this location however.
My second tire purchase from Cycle Gear Seattle store. Excellent price and same-day installation by Sam. Highly recommend.
1st time in this Cyclegear location almost downtown Seattle. Great friendly service. Brought in the pair of Sena 50s purchased at cyclegear in lynwood and the sale person did the install on the spot on both helmets, no charge. Store itself is super nice, lots and lost of gear!
Simply put in thoroughly impressed with the knowledge the employees have to offer at this store. Not only do they beat out every other cycle gear I've been to buy they just know more about their product than any other associate I have come across at any business front.
Definitely stopping by again. Super helpful service.
Super friendly and accommodating staff. Looking for a jacket, tried on many before finding the right on. Prices were good and the location was great. It was very easy to find. I didn't have time to explore the whole store but it looked well stocked.
A great place to shop for your motorcycle supplies in Seattle. The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly as they are motorcycle owners and enthusiasts themselves. It's a bit out of the way but worth the trip.
Staff was friendly courteous. far from the biggest store but definitely have enough to get everything you need for a ride. Parking is a beast as with most Seattle area businesses but have good area out for motorcycle parking right put front but you driving car you might to drive around a bit to find a spot.
Of all the motorcycle shops I have been to I find that Lynnwood Cycle Gear exhibited a five star customer service. Looking for the right size helmet has been a challenge for me over the years. Traci and the rest of the Lynnwood Cycle Gear team was extremely informative ensuring that I found the best helmet and gear needed for my cross county ride coming up. Thank You Team !!!!
Great place to find a little bit of everything for motorcycles
Yesterday I got great customer service and got exactly what I needed.
My experience with Cycle Gear Of Seattle was 5 stars. I am 1st time street rider spent about 15 years riding dirt bikes. I bought myself a Dual sport and needed New street tires, Chain, Sprockets, Bluetooth helmet and other accessories. I found this store Thanks to Lake City Power Sports on Lake City Way. I went to Lake City power sports and was treated like I was a second hand citizen, Maybe it is because of the way I was dressed old levies beat up T-Shirt or maybe because I am Latino or maybe because it appeared that I didnt have money or a combination of all. When asking Lake City simple questions such as price and availability or which tires would best fit my needs, " I made it a point to request tires best money could buy" or what kind of performance I should expect if I drop one tooth down on my front sprocket. I was spoke down to with very short uncomfortable answers from the Parts Specialist behind the desk. It was a very disappointing experience. So this is how I ended up at Cycle Gear on 825 Taylor Ave N. EVERYONE at this store was welcoming and helpful. I dealt with Alysha who is very Professional and knowledgeable and when ask a question she didnt know the answer too she simple stated so with a follow up of " I will find out for you let me research that" By the way Lake City Power Sports I spent about $1,000.00 and probably going to drop another $1000.00 on apparel. Thank You Cycle Gear and Thank You Alysha for time and effort making sure I was getting the best gear for my personal application. Customer For life!
Fitted me out with good safety gear for my electric moped.
Great customer service! Wes the person who helped us out was exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable about what we needed and what gear best fit that need. The Queen Anne Cycle Gear location is where I did my business and Wes represents what great customer service is about.
I'd give 5 stars but it wasn't quite earth-shattering. My first time in the store and I found everything I wanted, great sales help with my questions, and good prices. I will be shopping here again.
Amazing Experience! I told them I was a 1st time rider and they took care of me . Helmet , shoes , gloves and jacket ! Very easy process ! I will be using them for all of my biking needs going forward!
These guys are great. They have been very patient & helpful (I'm 69 & buying a bike after 40 years). Also, they did not try to upsell me; I told them what I was looking for & what I wanted to spend, and they answered a lot of questions that helped me out & has given me information I will ponder for later. I will definately be going back.
Shopping for my first helmet. I was a little intimidated by the wall of options, and the fact that I'm still a new rider. Wes didn't judge at all, and was super friendly and helpful! He taught me about fit and a little about what to look for in helmets and other gear. He answered my questions, and service didn't suffer when the store got busy. I walked out with a great starter helmet, and a shopping list for the future!
Wooow, amazing place! As a newbie in motorcycle world, I felt very welcomed here. Staffs are knowledgeable on all gears and can really gave good suggestions on whether you need it or which one you need. Very patient for all questions as well! Recommend for all who want to get into motorcycle world!
Brett was extremely professional and informative without being pushy at all. Great job! First time in, but permanent new customer.
Very helpful staff, and a good selection given the supply chain issues these days. A hidden gem in the shadow of the needle.
Really great customer service and assistance!
Derek is always super helpful and takes his time answering questions and making sure the product matches the rider.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good helmet selection. Order online and have it delivered to the store and they will handle any returns you need to make! Easy!
This is the newest motorcycle gear in the area, I like it because it happens to be between my work and home. Great prices, knowledgeable staff, and large selection of riding gear and accessories. Parking may be challenging at times, but well worth the effort. Don't pass the up!
If i could give 6 stars out of 5 I would - excellent experience and knowledgeable staff - I will be going back to round out some gear needs very soon.
Highly recommend.
Excellent service, friendly helpful staff. Clean store. The layout is well plan and well stocked.
Good gear for a good price. Not the top of the line racing stuff. But bargain gear that will do a good job of perfection
I went in for a new helmet. The gentleman that helped me was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the pros and cons of each product.
The two gentlemen helped me return an item that had a defect and get a new, better quality pair of pants. I also got some cool riding location ideas from them.
They were great, we had ordered the wrong gear at the St Louis location and moved up to Seattle with it and the guys there did a quick exchange and were helpful all the way!! Can't ask for better customer service than that!
Store is well organized and generally just a nicer space (although maybe a bit smaller) than the sub-urban Cycle Gear locations around Puget Sound. For those not familiar with Cycle Gear, it is mc clothing and accessories oriented and focused a bit more on the budget/utilitarian/every-day rider. The staff is very knowledgeable about what they sell in terms of whether or not they have it, where it is, colors in stock versus orderable, features, fit etc.. Hours are good... it was great to be able to go in on a Sunday morning, when most (all?) mc shops are closed, to be able to get basic supplies to complete some weekend maintenance. If there is a downside compared to the other Cycle Gear locations it's a lack of dedicated parking but hey I'm just glad to have a location in the city.
Allright, got some cool stuff staff is friendly enough although a bit presumptuous. Some of the helmets are seriously dope. N e way
Very friendly and informative staff. You can tell they know what they're talking about and really enjoy motorcycles.
Great customer service and advice. Very knowledgeable staff that set me up with safety in mind first. Will be back for pants and boots next week!!!
The manager Sam is a real good guy, good store all around!
The people who work here are amazing. It’s very clear that they are passionate, and care about their customers.
It’s also very clear that they work for a large corporation that’s disconnected from the store front. The employees here will suffer until management changes.
Super helpful customer service, with insightful and knowledgeable staff. Would love more women's gear options/sizes, though.
Sam was very informative and helpful.
Bought a helmet. The staff answered tons of my questions with patience and professional advices. Will come back again for other gears in the future.
They were very knowledgeable about the mechanics of bikes and helped me pick out a good helmet!
Very helpful employees, very knowledgeable and they both had clearly used the products they were selling
I go to the store when I can, rather than buying online, because I always like friendly staff, and if they have what you need, I prefer buying from brick and mortars.
Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Great customer service. Walked out with a leather jacket.
Great selection, VERY helpful and educated staff. Good vibes in this shop. Will surely return.
Helpful staff, surprisingly good selection of gear for a downtown-ish location. Would recommend & shop there again. 😊👍🍀 …
Great staff. Super helpful and they have a nice selection in store. Vroom vroom!
Great gear and equipment. Friendly employees. Pretty overpriced. But overall a good place to shop for motorcycle stuff
Very friendly staff, knowledgeable and helpful. Store is smaller than the one in Lynnwood but still holds a decent collection of stuff.
This store is the absolute best place hands down employee's are the coolest and most knowledge able
Friendly staff who know their stuff. Lower end brands but still decent safety gear.
Masks and sanitizer at the door. Everyone was wearing masks.
Avery, Lucas and Sam are always there when I need them for tire changing service. Great guys. Great service.
The people running this shop are great. Helped me out more than once now and went out of their way to make sure I got the right gear.
The customer service at this store is the best. Thanks for always helping us find exactly what we need, and the perfect fit.
A good change of pace from the Cycle Gears I’m used too, no young pretty girls who don’t know much about bikes but rather some guys and gals who are helpful and care about bikes.
They’re very helpful and helped make picking out gear and equipment a breeze for a newbie like me
They work on commission so some hover most are very helpful. Good store especially when they have sales
Good service and good selection of helmets. The hot girl knows her stuff. that's always extra points by me.
thanks ladies!
Amazing place for your gear, very helpful staff especially for new beginners
Huge selection. Clean store. Staff was very helpful and had lots of info to share with new riders.
