Reviews of Sport Wheels
Great people there. They made it so easy to purchase a bike. Friendly, informative. A really great experience!
Awesome business run by caring people. Very helpful every step of the way for my first time buying a bike. Would recommend them to anyone I know looking to pick up a bike.
I’ve been going there for parts since 1980.
Always find what I need.
Kim is awesome. Picked out a bike today put it on lay-away I'll be riding in June.
Awesome friendly and very helpful! The whole staff was very accommodating! I'm happy with my 1952 chopper... Kim was the best!!! We'll be back!!
This place has so many different types of motorcycles and dirt bikes, even if you're not selling or buying anything it's a cool place to go see some motorcycle history.
The range of offerings is quite honestly, staggering.
No one will ever get to the bottom.
It's just bike parts of every kind.
Walking around the joint the thought occurs that each of these frames was at one time someone else's cherished possession. Amazing.
Need motorcycle parts and can deal with used? These folks probably have what you need. Want a used bike? A project bike? A classic? Check them out.
Kim is awesome, purchased many parts and a few classic Hondas over the past 30+ years.👍 …
I have been a customer of Sport Wheels for many years - simply put there is no other place like it! If you are looking for a motorcycle part from any bike they probably have it. The open yard is like a step into a candy store with bikes from every maker on the planet. The staff is willing to help and amazingly knowledgeable of where to find just what you are looking for. When it came time to check out, Kim was easy to work with and friendly. The guy ahead of me in the line on Saturday lost a bolt from his exhaust as he was pulling into the parking lot. They helped him find a replacement, and borrowed him the wrench to get his bike back on the road. This is a place where they know their stuff and are decent people. I highly recommend stopping by and checking it out, you won't be disappointed.
Excellent service and very quick at finding a hard to find part. A used swing Arm on a 400 Yamaha Kodiak is rare due to them breaking frequently. Kim found one and had it shipped 700 miles and saved me lots of $$. Awesome place and people!!
Even though there was a goof up on a wheel I ordered, I have to say they handled it well and the lady that runs the place is awesome. If you need a part for a... they probably have it. The used bike selection is also pretty good.
Awesome place! The staff is very friendly and the pricing is reasonable. I searched the yard for my part and found 100 other things I wanted to buy, this place is a gold mine!
I think the staff and inventory are top notch in assisting customers. Tyler spent a lot of time with my friend and myself going over bikes in the main building. I simply can't believe all the parts they have available. When I'm ready to buy a used cycle, I know where I'm going.
The people at Sport Wheels are top notch. They help customers diagnose mystery bike problems, find parts, fit buyers with the right bike, and more. The crew truly cares about the customer. They are really big supporters of their local community too. Totally recommend you give 'em a call!
Has a huge selection of bikes & parts. Great staff; knowledgeable & helpful. If they don't have your part, will take the time to try and locate on their hotline system. Also have several used motorcycles & atvs for sale. Friendly sales staff. Vintage bikes & parts are in abundance here as well.
I gave it 3 stars because Sport Wheels is not a junkyard...its a dealership with a backyard full of parts. What I mean by that is they want a premium for everything. As if they're selling new parts...NOT parts that were made in the 60's and 70's and are now VERY WELL USED as well as WEATHERED from sitting in a junkyard for decades. And...the parts are obviously in need of restoration due to these issues. Now if you're in need of an old motorcycle part...I can almost promise you that if you have enough time to spend out in the yard. I doubt you come up empty handed...which is why I gave them 3 stars instead of 2.
With the largest variety of used motorcycles and parts and a wonderful experience, I don't see how anyone could go wrong with Sport Wheels. The owner might have been one of the nicest people I've ever dealt with and she definitely knows what she's talking about! Whether you're looking for a hard to find part or just a good deal Sport Wheels is the way to go!
They base their prices off of eBay prices. Which is fine, but eBay doesn't make me sift through a bin of 5,000 unorganized and mis-matched headlight assemblies just in hopes of finding something that will actually fit my bike.
Their prices would be great if they had everything indexed and ready to go, but at BEST you will find parts based on manufacturer.
$130 for forks and a front fender on a bike that we had to prop up on a rusty milk crate, and do all the wrenching with our own tools that we brought in the bright beautiful MN humid summer. Should have been $80 tops.
But they are the only place that lets you physically inspect a part, which is nice when you are doing custom work or don't know the exact name of a part you are looking for.
Not great, but not terrible either. Don't come here expecting a deal. Come here if you really can't find the part you need.
This place is AWESOME! Sport Wheels has saved my butt on two separate occasions. Everyone is friendly and very easy to work with. I love just going there to browse the yards. You never know what you will find!
I have been buying parts from sport wheels for almost 40 years. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, the prices are fair, and they have the parts you need. I am restoring an 83 Honda the my brother received as a graduation gift, and plan to surprise him with it on his 50th birthday. Sport wheels had the parts I needed, thanks Sport Wheels!!
I had bought a used 1984 700 magna off Craigslist, and they helped me get oem parts off junked bikes. Even small emblems that were very rare. Very good people there, so good that I bought a first generation 1100 magna the next year from them. Love my bikes and the people there.
Just the best. Very educated and friendly. Has to be one of the biggest motorcycle parts yards left in America, .Always getting new inventory.
Its a special place ran by exceptional people!
Bought a motorcycle there and was treated like family. Kim and Bill were fantastic to work with, and I recommend them to everyone I know looking for a bike. Definitely going back when I need another motorcycle.
I've been buying parts gettign service from Sportwheels since the mid 80's. This is a great family ran business and they care about the little guys. Even when I was a kid they helped me get my bike back on the trail with parts or service.
I live in Arizona now and there is a cycle yard down here that is just about the same size but nowhere near as organized as Sportwheels. Almost makes me want to drive cross country just to get the right part!
Keep at it
Rob Marble!
I just purchased a 1992 yamaha xt225 from Kim at aportwheels. She went beyond the call of duty for me. Amazing bike and business. Highly recommend there honest and friendly there. I will be back to buy more. Keep the rubber to road riders.
Went here last year with a good friend of mine and it was a great experience the workers are very polite and top notch highly recommend this store if you need parts or need gear for cheap
Broke something critical on a Saturday. Leo's and Motoprimo didn't have, sent me to Sport Wheels. Thanks to the very helpful staff I found a bike and had what I needed pulled in 5 minutes. Saved my weekend. Really cool place, thousands of motorcycles.
I have been a customer of Sport wheel since they were at their old facility and I was 13, in fact I bought my first bike from them (a yamaha 100 enduro for a $100 bucks). last year I bought a motorcycle using their lay-a-way program. and requested a new battery and oil change because my plans were to go back to minnesota pick it up and ride it back to Michigan. When I got there everything was done as per my instructions and I was given a check list of every thing the mechanics checked before leaving( tire press. voltage output, lights, tread depth), the trip was uneventful and the bike ran flawlessly. I would recommend them, they are busy though and probably could use a few more employees but be patient and youll get all you questions answered. I liked dealing with them so much that I am currently looking at getting another bike from them.
The bad: Some of the employees talk down to you like they know everything, which has happened to me and my brother. After more research I found out they were wrong about some of the issues that thought they were experts about... Lastly I would warn you if you really love motorcycles prepare yourself for the yard. "Motorcycle hell" is the first thing that come to mind.
The good: A good place to go if you are trying to repair a 70's-90's Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, or Kawasaki on the cheap. They have a decent selection of vintage cycles from the same companies. If your looking for a bike you want to wrench on this is your place.
They have lots of parts, just don't always take their advice. They don't always know what they are talking about.
Really friendly people the guy Joe who worked in the yard told us where to find our part and checked to make sure we found it ok. Really nice experience.
It's great that you can go out in the yard and dig for what you're looking for. don't have much for Harley-Davidson but anything else they've got a lot. People were friendly.
Stopped in to look at old collectable's
I wont go any place else! Great ppl get treated like family! These ppl know what they are talking about lots of great parts, if you visit please remember to pick up afteryourself itmakes it easier for other ppl to find things! Best place ever! My home away from home!!

Very knowledgeable staff, super helpful. Prices were cheaper than I could even find online! Definitely will be going back for everything else I need!
Stopped in to find a very rare part for my old Cimatti moped. There were not any Cimatti's in the yard but Joe knew the brand and found the exact part on another bike. I guess these bikes share parts. Who knew?! Joe did.. Back on the road ! Thanks, Joe and Sportwheels!
Great place to look for used parts for motorcycles. Bring your own tools. Pull your own parts.
Great place for motorcycle parts...IF you can find it. Massive amounts of any part you can think of but no organization of how to find said part.
