The wife and I had just moved to DC. Unfortunately our mattress did not arrive, because the moving company somehow lost it. So I went driving around at like 8pm trying to find one for a reasonable price, and this store was about my third stop. The owner Nagendra was great! He set us up with a very nice mattress for a hugely discounted price, and even helped me load it onto my car... Nice clean, safe location with parking, good selection, good prices, and nice people. Highly recommend.

My wife and I swung by the Potomac Yard Mattress Firm this evening to find some relief from back and neck issues our doctor thought our old mattress was causing. Iman greated us at the door and was very professional. She is so knowledgable and was able to walk us through all of the options and match them to our preferences. Iman used a structured set of questions to build our preferences into exactly the mattresses we should check. She insisted that we try every option even after we decided the fourth mattress was probably the one. I would have expected a salesperson to steer us to the most expensive, but she instead ensured we tried all of them. Iman seemed genuinely concerned that we get the best value and options to meet our needs. We even wound up going with a movable base that neither of us had considered before speaking with her. The whole process from walking in from the street to getting approved for financing took far less time than we expected. Iman is a credit to her profession. She earned two life-long customers today.

Upon entry, we were immediately greeted by a friendly sales associate (we aren't sure of her name but she was great at orienting us to the sales floor!) and then were introduced to Nagendra, who we worked with the rest of our time at the store. The experience started with a test of firmness on traditional spring mattresses (hard, medium and soft) so that Nagendra knew what we preferred. We then tested a hybrid mattress in our preferred firmness where he explained how adjustable bases worked and their benefits. After that, we were introduced to the Tempur-Pedic line (almost exclusively memory foam) and walked through the different models available in our preferred firmness. Nagendra and other associates in the store were amazing about answering questions and explaining how different models of mattresses and bases compared to each other. We did end up testing out a model that Nagendra hadn't pointed us to and were very pleased with his explanation of the brand and the pros and cons it would provide us with based on our preferences. I assume this is not the same path everyone would take, as we were asked other questions about how hot we sleep, if we have body pains, if we have sleep apnea/snoring, our budget, etc. We ended up buying a bed and base, able to be delivered within 48 hours if we wanted, and received a great deal due to the Labor Day weekend sale on offer. Mattress Firm is able to provide a price match based on any brick and mortar or online store, and we qualified for 0% financing for 5 years. They also added on a bundle of high quality sheets and pillows for an additional price, which could be unhelpful for some, but we appreciated as we are significantly changing mattress sizes. We are extremely excited to receive our new mattress and if we end up not liking it within 4 months, can return it! I would also like to add that we were never the only people in the store and saw that nearly everyone who entered left having purchased something. Thank you so much Nagendra and the rest of the staff at Mattress Firm Potomac Yards for the amazing shopping experience!

He made sure I found the right mattress within my price range rather than sell me the most expensive he could. Extremely knowledgeable and will get you the best price. Jerome Jackson met me and my family with a smile. With multiple issues, paired with a love for sleep, a quality mattress is very important to me. He found us the perfect mattress based on our sleeping needs and my issues with lower back pain. He was very knowledgeable about mattress brands, mattress styles, has a great sales analogy to help understand the importance of a quality mattress, and didn’t make me feel like he was trying to manipulate or share false information just to make the sell. We had a budget he kept us well under and tried to get us the best price possible to the lowest dollar he could possibly do. He connected with me and my family on a personal level and truly tried to get to know us which I think is crucial in stellar customer service! Yes, experience in the field matters, but it’s the experience that the customer has that seals the deal; and Jerome did just that! Iman is an amazing sales representative. I went to Mattress firm to buy beds in advance of my move across country to Las Vegas. I suffer from a fibromyalgia, a chronic pain disorder, as does my sister. My father suffers from sciatica. So a comfortable bed is critical for our health and well-being but not easy to find. Iman was not only able to help me find beds that were comfortable and supportive but she also found an option within the price range I wanted to spend. Iman was extremely knowledgeable about sleep science and the different bed options available. She took her time understanding my problems and needs and had me test over 6 beds in order to find one that worked. I never felt rushed or pressured. Iman was also incredibly helpful when I needed to make last minute changes to my delivery date due to travel plan changes. She followed up with me personally and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Working with Iman has been the best customer service experience. I went to Mattress Firm Potomac Yard while waiting for my car to be serviced. Given the pandemic, the place was pretty empty. However, I was greeted with a bright smile and helpful attendee, Jerome. He asked me about how I slept (back) and what I didn't like about my current mattress. Jerome listened with interest and understanding, and showed me to a number of selections that would be a good fit for me. He gave me a protector (for sanitation of course) and let me take my time testing each out. As I'm not all that decisive, I thanked him for his time and continued to ponder about what I really wanted. A few month later, Jerome remembered me and asked me if I had selected a mattress yet. As I had not, he helped me narrow my choices down for Purple and another one. He again gave me the protector and encouraged me to really take my time and assured me that my body would tell me the right one for me. What I appreciate most about Jerome easy-going, informative customer service is that there wasn't any pressure, just extraordinary patience to answer my ever-more-detailed questions! I just moved last night and the movers couldn’t get my box spring up my steps and said I would need a split queen box frame. The next morning I came to this store in hopes that I could find something for same day or next day delivery. Nick and Abdul were very attentive and based on the price of the split queen bed frame, it would actually make more sense to buy a new mattress and frame based on the promotions they were having. Both were very helpful and attentive even though the store got busy shortly after I arrived they somehow managed to work with all of us and provided great customer service. They also offered warranty and deliver to DC (so you don’t have to worry about getting a parking spot).

Overall experience here was efficient and easy. First came in on a Saturday and Abdul promptly helped, went over different mattress types around my budget. He let me know the current specials. I ended up coming a few days later to buy the mattress I had initially looked at on Saturday and Abdul remembered me. It was a good priced mattress, but if you only want a mattress and not the frame/base/etc., be aware that they will try to sell you more things (a bed frame at $60, an upgrade on the box spring at $40, a mattress cover at $50, delivery at $80) which would put the total purchase over $200 in addition to the mattress.

I can not express my utter and complete satisfaction with this location's selection and representatives! I had to come back into the store a replacement mattress after my first mattress selection cause a prior shoulder injury to flare up. Not only were Nick (Store Manager) and Abdul (Assist. SM) attentive and knowledgeable, they were very empathic and accommodating. With my crazy work schedule and shoulder injury, what sleep I get is important to me. And the right mattress is so key. We came in on Friday and spent at least an hour with Nagendra, also known as Nick, looking over many different mattresses types and technologies. We came back Sunday and by Monday evening we had a new Purple 3 and two fabulous hybrid pillows delivered and set up in less than 24 hours. I bought a queen size mattress with an adjustable base. After a month of use I enjoy the bed. I can adjust the head or bottom of the bed to my liking.
