The truest compliment to his product knowledge and attention to my requests is that I purchased a mattress that I had initially dismissed. We’re are in our 70’s. We were planning to buy a mattress to replace our old sagging mattress which we had for about 8 years. We stopped by the Mattress Firm store on the way home after my wife’s visit to the chiropractor. We were looking for something to put on our old existing box springs. There, we met Alejandro. He showed us a bunch of options that we weren’t aware of. We tried several different mattress brands and types along with different frames and chose a mattress and frame that we hadn’t even considered prior to his educating us. Alejandro was patient, a great listener and very knowledgeable about his products and sleeping in general during our two hour visit. As his shirt said, a “Sleep Expert”. We are very pleased with the products we purchased and the knowledge we gained. Can’t wait to have it delivered!

All and all, not bad. I really hate the sales experience, the fast talking, the up selling, the side conversations, it all feels slimey. I made it clear I had a budget and the expert walked me over to what made sense for me. They will be delivering by this Thursday and I hope it all goes smooth, they are taking my old mattress away as well. I got a BeautyRest mattress from the outlet portion of the store. I laid on the sample on the floor and enjoyed how luxurious it felt.

Airan and Jorge were extremely helpful while educating my mother and me with the many differences and product specifications available at the store. Found the mattress at a different store and went the following day to pick up and was sent to N Dale Mabry where they were confirmed to have it. Sales person found it and charged it….different rate than I had been quoted but only by $10…….picked it up and went on our way.

My experience with this place was great. Fernando, Cesar, and Tiffany were friendly and helpful without coming off as phony salespeople. I moved to Tampa from NY as an accountant during tax season, and slept on an air mattress for 4.5 months. I was told the mattress could be delivered the following day, and it was. The two delivery men were also friendly and assembled the bed frame very quickly. I know you guys actually read the reviews...thanks for everything!

They stand by their trial period for mattress satisfaction, making it easy to swap if you are not happy with your selection after many nights sleep. During my last mattress purchase (at the Dale Mabry location (I decided to check out the outlet this go round)), our previous sales rep, Tiffany (from two years earlier) recognized my daughter and me as soon as we walked into the store. I was impressed and flattered that Tiffany remembered us from so long ago. She and Fernando were very helpful in our current selection, allowing us to take all the time needed in our selection without pressure. It was also helpful that Tiffany was able to pull up our purchase history so we could select our current mattress based on the likes/dislikes from previous purchases. What a great welcoming store. Upon my arrival I was greeted by Fernando saying "Welcome to Mattress Firm, how can I help you?" Fernando introduced himself then started to ask qualifying questions towards my possible new mattress purchase. He was interested in how my back felt, do I sleep on my side or on my back to understand what would help me get the best sleep. Now keep in mind during this time I just moved from California and have been sleeping on an air mattress for weeks so everything felt comfortable in the store. Fernando reassured me of the bed and also said they have a 4-month exchange policy so if my wife and I don't like it we can exchange it. I got to meet the rest of the team while in there and Tiffany was a great help to Fernando researching inventory and chatting about local community. Overall I had a great experience and would recommend this place to anyone.

I went to bed pros in south tampa and the first thing the seller did was to point me out to the affordable mattresses (in his words "good for college students"). I mean... Know your customer! Fernando and Airan are phenomenal! I originally went to just ship around, since I had been looking at prices for mattresses online for months to replace my old one, and I was on a budget. They fully understood, and listened when I told them that I had back problems as well, which lead me to trying out the memory foam mattress. It was HEAVEN on my back! Even trying out other mattresses, the medium firmness one was perfect. Then they told me the price, $399 out the door! I had brought my dad with me, someone who knows the art of a deal, and he told me that this was an incredible deal for a memory foam mattress. Now, they didn't have this specific one in this store, but they called a nearby store to see if they had one, which they did, and that said it all. I bought the mattress then and there. Fernando and Airan went up and beyond, making sure I was happy with the mattress. They were incredibly personable, and make sure that you, as a customer, feel like you are making the right informed decision. If I could, they would get more than 5*s!!!!

I was dreading going in and dealing with sales people, but they were not trying to sell me, they were trying to HELP me. HUGE DIFFERENCE! Customer Service Score 20/10 by far! THEY ARE AWESOME! I must say, I was definitely disappointed in the delivery of my mattress though. The younger guy delivering the mattress who carried it up to the second floor was bouncing it up the stairs and bounced it from the breezeway into my room, obviously damaging the springs and internal structor of the mattress itself. Then, the bottom of my mattress got ripped while they were putting it on the bed frame. Needless to say, I would give the delivery specifically 1/5 stars ... so if you're able to get your mattress to your place independently, I would do so. Otherwise, beware of the potential damage from the delivery.

Tiffany was beyond helpful and extremely patient with me helping me to the core to find the perfect mattress!! I previously went to Ashleys Furniture to look at mattresses because I had previously shopped there for furniture. When I went there I basically had to lay on every mattress because the salesman wasn't very knowledgable about which mattress would fit me best. I eventually found a mattress that I liked but I felt like I was settling for it. The salesman kept trying to sell me a gelpad mattress that was way over my budget and wasn't really listening to what I was looking for! I felt like he wasn't trying to help me find the best fit! So at that moment I decided to leave and shop around and see what other stores sold mattresses before making a large purchase.. When I came across Mattress firm on google maps I thought I would give it a try and see what they had to offer, boy am I super happy that I tried them out! Not only was I greeted with a friendly face and attitude the first thing Tiffany asked me was do I like a soft or firm mattress and am I a side, stomach, or back sleeper? I told her I suffer from back pain and am a side/stomach sleeper who prefers a soft mattress. I told her I currently own a soy bean mattress and its too soft I need more support. After trying out 3 mattresses not only did I find the most softest supportive mattress but it was right in my budget! The mattress I purchased was the complete opposite of what the salesman at Ashleys was trying to sell me and Tiffany informed me that if I would've bought that mattress I would continue with back pain because it was basically the same mattress I currently own. I purchased a traditional mattress and have way more support and have finally experienced a great nights sleep in just 1 night! I'm so beyond thrilled!! I can't even begin to compare the service I received here to Ashleys, like they say Furniture salesman's know furniture, Mattress salesman's know Mattresses! She was knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and an all around great salesman! I'm so happy I stopped by! I highly recommend this location to anyone! Thanks again Tiffany for helping me out!

We had a very positive experience at this store working with Fernando Altamirano - Ortiz. We spent 2 hours trying out stuff and chatting the first night we were there. He was patient with us, offered informative advice and really it was very no pressure. We were there to a few minutes after close and he was welcoming the whole time. We ended up buying a clearance mattress and base. But had a change of heart that night and went back to get a Tempurepedic instead, the next day. We knew what we wanted but weren’t able to make it there until 10 minutes till close, but he was still super helpful, fixed it all up for us and even moved the delivery date up. (Beating the tempur store turn around by two weeks). He didn’t put any pressure on us for accessories and was helpful even though we were there a little after close. (Sorry we made you get home late!! But thanks for sorting us out!)

I've been having all kinds of issues and pains with my old mattress so I set out on the long adventure to find a new one. Every place I went to people tried to sell me a mattress I couldn't afford and not to mention one that I wasn't even interested in. I stopped into mattress firm reluctant that I would find something and annoyed at possibly being hassled out of my own money into something like a used car salesman would do but to my surprise I was not. Janee Faulk greeted me and my husband warmly and offered her assistance. She pointed out some of the options based on my needs and let me roam the store to experience for myself. After a period of time we talked for a while and I let her know why I was looking and how I'd been having serious health issues possibly due to the current mattress I owned. She was so encouraging and went out of her way to help me find the perfect fit. I tried and tried as many different ones that I could but finally when I found the right one the price was more than I could afford. She was able to work with me one the price and I walked away with a feeling of ease and comfort with a new mattress on the way to my door step the very next day.
