With the internet at our beckon call, retail staff in some industries sometimes do not know their products better than their well researched customers. Unfortunately shopping for a mattress is expensive, intimidating, and the online community creates more confusion than understanding. So going into Mattress Firm my wife and I were less than confident. To our surprise, Sam was incredible. He addressed all our questions, concerns, and took the time to explain the fundamentals. I'm impressed with his wealth of knowledge and customer service skills. The delivery team was great too, all smiles and very friendly. I thought this was going to be a difficult purchase, but it was the smoothest one I've ever made! And our bed is very comfortable, the two months of back pain is no more. If you don't where to start buying a mattress, we highly recommend talking to the professionals at Mattress Firm!

She was pleasant, very informative, did not rush us and had lots of good pointers to help us decide what to do. We wouldn’t have been able to make such a decision without her help and her patience. The last thing my wife and I wanted was to go into a mattress store and talk to a sales person. We were going to just buy a mattress online but we really wanted to make sure that we were satisfied with our purchase so we decided to go in and try them out. We were blown away by the staff and how helpful and easy going they were. We felt zero pressure, the staff was very knowledgeable, we were able to determine what kind of firmness we needed in a mattress, and they were very respectful. On top of all of that, we were able to save more money on our purchase by going into mattress firm than using promo codes & sales ourselves online though various mattress websites. We were able to get our order the next day and they not only delivered everything, but they also set up the frame and bed. The delivery team was respectful and professional. I will only go to Mattress firm for my future mattress purchases.

My husband and I have been looking around for a new mattress for a while, we went to the big stores just to be treated poorly, but the moment we walked into mattress firm, Sam greeted us at the door and listened to exactly what we needed in a bed!!! He made everything work for us financially and even got us a better deal on getting another bed for our son and gave us a promise letter so that when we come back in, we would only be paying a certain amount!! I highly recommend this store, and to work with Sam, if you’re in the search of a new bed!

Excellent customer service! They went out of their way to find the last harmony purple pillow in stock in the entire valley so I could take it home the day of purchase. I wanted to surprise my husband for his birthday. Thank you! And the product is amazing! My husband loves it! He slept on it and was so comfortable. And he's hard on pillows, having obtained a herniated disc years ago. This pillow is just what he needs! And he has gone through a lot of pillows!

I was greeted by a very friendly salesman (I think his name is Sam). I told him I was looking for a mattress topper that I could take home that day. Since they don’t keep them in stock he recommended another place where I might be able to pick one up. Long story short I went back to Mattress Firm and he helped me order a mattress topper to that matches what I need for my back problems. He actually saved me lots of money. And at Mattress Firm they are Military friendly. Next time I need a mattress I will go back to the Mattress Firm.

After years of dealing with our literal pain-in-the-neck (and back) mattress, my wife and I decided the time had come to bite the bullet and go Purple. When we arrived at the Mattress Firm we were promptly greeted by our salesman. I use the term "salesman" quite loosely here because Sam was much more than just a salesman. Sam was warm and friendly and seemed genuinely to want to help us make an educated decision about which bed would be able to help eradicate the pain we had been living with. Sam was not pushy in anyway, and in many ways was the 'anti-salesman'-- wanting to sell us something, but only if it would really benefit us. My hats off to the Mattress Firm and Sam for making our experience buying a new bed be less of a pain in more ways than one!

I had family visiting for Thanksgiving last minute. I did not have a mattress so I searched on internet where most could only deliver in December, too late for me. I checked them online and visited one of the stores where I found a firm mattress within my budget. They were willing to deliver next day which no one else could do it because of the Holidays. My wife and I have been looking for new mattresses for months now and decided to stop by the Layton Mattress Firm on Main St the other night (1/1/21). Will greeted us as we came in an after explaining what we were looking for, proceeded to show us the mattresses that would most fit our requirements. We found many that felt comfortable and spent the next hour moving around the showroom trying to decide. As many shopping for a mattress can attest, you never really know how it will work for you until you've slept on it for 4-6 weeks. Will informed us that we had the 120 day trial period, so that really helps. We have not taken delivery yet, but I can say that the customer service was excellent and low pressure and more concerned with our satisfaction. Will was able to work a fantastic deal, so we included their motorized base as well. We felt very good about the pricing, service, Will and decided to proceed with our purchase. I will post again once we have had time to try out our new beds. Highly recommend this store location for the service and pricing though! We saved $2055 on a $7400 purchase.

I came in to look for beds for my daughters. The sales assistant moved mattresses and showed the options to my girls. They were able to try out all the beds until they found just what they wanted. Since they didn’t have our preference in stock, the sales assistant called their other stores until we found what we needed. I was able to go pick them up that day. My girls slept very well :)

Could not have been more pleased. Frankly, I was not anticipating purchasing at mattress firm. We hadn’t shopped for a new mattress in years. So we were just beginning our shopping and going to look at a few stores. We walked in and were greeted immediately. William helped us in Layton, he asked our budget and took us straight to our options. He went out of his way to really ensure we knew all of our options. Once we found a mattress we loved (he had us try several). The deals started flying. We walked out with a mattress and a box spring for under our budget. No hassle sales experience, he asked our budget and stuck to it. Would recommend mattress firm to anyone.

The sales associate was very helpful with finding a good mattress for me. She went through the instructions very throughly and answered my many questions. They had a large selection of sizes, brands, and firmness. The store was kept clean and they sanitized the pillows I used which it’s good to see customer safety. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is she seemed to be the only employee helping customers while the other two were at the desk most of the time. They’ve could’ve been doing computer work, but it looked like they could’ve been more helpful.

I have had 29 back surgeries and the most recent was also the biggest. I had a fusion in September. I bought a mattress less than a year ago, but since my surgery, it has become painfully (literally) obvious that it was not good for me anymore. I went in on 25 January and Rex Harrison was working. He listened to my story and I told him what I could afford. He showed me what he would recommend and had me try all of them. He never once rushed me or tried to sell me on one particular mattress. I found one that I liked, but it was not available and he took my information and told me that he would call me if anything like it happened to come up. I was called by him yesterday and he was at the Logan store. He told me that he had found one of the ones that I liked and he was able to get it within my budget. I know that he works on commission. I know that he likely sells many mattresses full price and that he probably didn't earn much on this sale. But HE is what makes the buying experience worthwhile. He was attentive, authentic, and not pushy. I don't know who his manager is, but should you read this, Rex is a VERY good face for your company and is the reason why I will continue to shop at Mattress Firm.

I went to the store in search of a new mattress and my sales associate was very knowledgeable, friendly and personable. She got me all set up with delivery and everything I needed. The day before delivery I realized I forgot to mention I needed a split box spring, so I called the store. I was worried that I would have to up my credit limit and do a refund, then re-bill to accommodate everything on financing; however, the manager at the location was awesome enough to take care of difference for me. The team down in Layton definitely went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. Thank you.

My history and I were looking to get a new king size bed set. We shopped around and got a beautiful bed. We shopped around at four previous stores, and multiple online stores, simply looking for a decent mattress set for a reasonable price. Jared helped us today. He was patient and actually listened to what we wanted. We set a budget and had a reasonable expectation, and he showed us everything above, below and in our range. No pressure sales, I could tell that he was being honest as far as choosing the cover we needed. One Month of searching, and our bed is complete. The warranty and price change guarantee just can't be beat. The exact set we bought was at another store for $150 more than the starting price at Matress Firm! We came in on Memorial Day, got the store discount as well as a Military discount. All the commercials and hype are pretty, but if you want quality, reasonable prices and a staff that cares look no further.

It’s done through a 3rd party to Mattress Firm. First we went to RC Willies and their prices were not bad, but after we went over to mattress firm where Eric helped us out. There they told us they'd beat the price by 10% if they weren't already cheaper, and they did it! Don't be surprised though if when you go in you get a better mattress then other places, the savings are there to get a better mattress, which we did. They were also willing to shop the mattress to our new home in the future with no issues. Great place with friendly people.

Ask for Sam Thorne! My wife and I bought a mattress at RC Willey a couple years ago and it failed. We bought a heap mattress online and my wife had a hard time sleeping. So after consulting our parents, they recommended Mattress Firm, and we were greeted by Sam Thorne. He is the most knowledgeable and helpful mattress consultant I have ever met. He answered all my questions, helped us with price, and did not pressure. We came back a couple weeks later and he knew our names and what our concerns were. We bought from him and do not regret it at all.

Update - the manager called to discuss my concerns over the incident described below. She resolved everything beautifully. She was extremely professional, personable, kind, understanding, and overwhelmingly helpful. While I would not go to the Layton store itself due to my experience with a single employee, I would not hesitate to deal with Mattress Firm. They are true to their word and proved themselves trust worthy and a solid business who I would definitely go back to. I believe the situation with the employee will be resolved; thus, others should not necessarily avoid the store. The sales associate at the Layton store on 820 N Main St. called me later in the evening several days after my one time visit to the store and chewed me out for not purchasing a bed from him. He condemned me for going to other stores to verify his information, which turned out to be incorrect information, and then choosing to go with a store that offered me a better price and provided me correct information. The employee violated my privacy and trust creating deep concerns about possible future retaliation. Other stores in the area were fine and professional.

I walked into this mattress firm really not expecting a whole lot. We were greeted by a sharp dressed friendly fellow named Ryan. We had a casual small talk of what bring us into the store and how our dog ruined the memory foam mattress we had but didn't want to get another full foam mattress. Ryan had us try the three firmness levels of mattresses to get us started and shortly had us narrowed down to two solid candidates. He also showed us adjustable base after I stated I had never tried one since my trip to the ER. It immediately helped relieve pressure off my back, that I fractured two vertebrae in, only three months ago. He got us to where we wanted to be budget wise and comfort wise all while being zero pressure. The last place I expected to get the best salesmanship was a mattress store but it was the first time I haven't felt unsatisifed walking out of a store after a big purchase. Can't wait to see him again for pillows.

I needed a headboard bracket that attached to my useless over priced adjustable base I bought from MF. When I called the store to find out what attachment I needed I was told to look on their website. No other info was provided. I looked on their website which took me nowhere. I tried to chat with their online robot, but it did not have an answer either. I called back and was told they'd look into it but never called me back. I had to search the internet to figure out which one works with my 2016 base and found another mattress company that had it in stock. I will never buy or recommend MF to anyone.
