We went to Mattress Firm today to shop for a new king size mattress. They had a very good selection and Jonathan was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Jonathan wasn’t pushy at all…and he seemed to really want us to be satisfied with our choice. He was very helpful in helping us weigh the pros & cons in narrowing down from our final 2 selections. Compared to other store’s prices, we feel very happy with the amount we paid and they also offer a great 120 day price guarantee ( if the mattress should go on sale at Mattress Firm for less than what we paid) as well as a 120 day “sleep on it” satisfaction guarantee. That’s about as fair as you can get, in my opinion… and that’s not even mentioning the manufacturer’s guarantee. Our king mattress & adjustable base will be delivered soon and I’ll be sure to update my review after delivery & setup… or if any issues should arise. Overall, we had a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend Mattress Firm to all my friends & family. I was in a pinch for a mattress and foundation and needed something same day, (I had a friend with a truck to help with pick up). I called and spoke with Michael who was very pleasant and helpful. We decided on a mattress over the phone however when I arrived at the store I didn’t like how soft it was, as it was for our guest room and we’d have older family members sleeping in there. Michael was awesome and showed me a few different options for firmer mattresses. The customer service and how quickly I was able to get something was great! My in store visit was even better. I didn’t have my son with me so it was challenging for me to pick the right one. Upon arrival to this Mattress Firm with my best friend I was pleased with a view of impeccable grounds and store front views. We enter to a clean, spacious and well lit sales floor and greeted by Michael. His stature was one of a mighty sales man, towering over my 6'2" self. He asked what my price range was and showed me just what my range was going to get me, and only after I asked to see beds of better quality did he show me my many other options. We connected that we were all from Michigan and share a bit of Michigan pride. My best friend and I were completely comfortable going all over the store and trying out all their beds. People if you come here you have to ask to lay on the very bed model that the Queen herself sleeps upon. Anyhow after ringing out my queen set, Michael made it a deal I could not resist. Michael assisted my fiancée & I in purchasing our first big purchase bed. It is day 13 with this bed and we have never slept so peacefully. He gave us a fair price and excellent service. So the experience in the store was great, bought a box spring and mattress, paid the extra to have it delivered and removal. The night before, I recieved my delivery schedule, 215 to 415 pm. No show and no phone call was recieved until I called the store at 610pm. I was told that the truck was running late and that everyone was contacted, however that was not true. I finally get a phone call from a chuckling driver stating that they are on the way to deliver our furniture. I asked them how far out they were and the said 10 minutes. By now it is 630 pm. On nights that I have to work the next day I go to bed early because I am up at 230am to go to work. The truck rolled up to my house at 655pm. The two employees approach my front door with no gloves, no masks and no shoe covers. I probably should have turned them away, however I proceeded with the delivery. They came in and removed the mattress and one worker stayed in the truck and the second one came back to the house to get the box spring. Well he did not look at the situation first. He started to remove the box spring got himself stuck and said uhm sir can you help me. So I had to assist him with the box spring after he hit the ceiling fan with it. Once I got him situated he dragged the box spring out of the house and came back by himself with the new one and looked at me and said can you help me getting this on your bed. Why pay for the gold service if I have to help with the delivery. While the removal was happening my wife calls me to ther front door to show me that our 2 brand new box spring and mattress was laying in the yard and the street. Never once did they apologize for being late, for not calling or anything, all they said was that they were whooped because they have been going since 630am. Not my problem. The two store sales people were sympathetic but and was going to refund my delivery fee because of the drivers being 2 hours late with no phone call or nothing. Since moving to Kentucky in April,everyone that had a scheduled delivery has been late with no phones. What has happened to good customer service.
