My girlfriend and I were first greeted by Mike who helped us through the process of choosing a mattress and base. He wasn’t pushy and made us feel comfortable as he gave us tips and educated us on bed sets. He was humorous and knowledgeable. We shopped around to multiple mattress stores and ended right where we started at Mattress Firm! They by far had the best deals and service! We came back later to be helped by Neesha who sealed the deal with great service, honest recommendations, and fun personality! We are excited to receive our new bed this weekend, thank you again!

I can't believe how amazing my experience at a mattress store, of all things, was. Our sleep expert was Brad, and as soon as my wife and I entered, he immediately began to delve into the root of our visit. The surface reason was easy enough; my wife and I had an ancient mattress and were looking to upgrade. But his knowledge was immediately set to getting us the best mattress for our needs. We were given pillows based on sleeping habits, and set on testing various firmness and types of mattresses. Brad explained each and every nuance of each mattress we tried out, the benefits to both my wife's and my individual sleeping habits, bed preferences, what we were looking for. The best thing, though? Brad wasn't pushy. He gave his opinion, the benefits and drawbacks of every option, and let my wife and I decide. I never felt pressured or urged into our purchase. It felt like he genuinely wanted us to get what we were looking for, and not just what might be good for their business. No matter what price range you're looking for, give Matress firm a try. Make it your first stop, and you won't have to worry about hitting up another store.

I decided to come to this mattress firm after finding out that their salesman Abel is so good at his job that he even sold the bed that Abraham Lincoln passed away on!!! I was not disappointed. I walked away with an amazing mattress and didn’t feel rushed or pushed to buy any specific thing. We were allowed to try as many mattresses as we wanted and Abel was patient and really listened to us. During the checkout process, all of the guys were friendly and super welcoming and nice. It is a great atmosphere there and I highly recommend shopping for a mattress here! They have great prices and deals and will work with your budget no matter how high or low. I now have an amazing mattress that wasn’t too expensive but will help my back problems and is big enough for my boyfriend and I and our two fur babies :) Thanks so much guys!!!

When we went to Mattress Firm in Grand Rapids East, we were wary of a "chain" mattress store. However, our experience was incredible! We walked in thinking we knew so much about what we wanted (but open to something else) and Brad at Mattress Firm talked through everything with us. I am a details and science person and we were even able to get down to the science and engineering of the beds and Brad was incredibly knowledgeable and answered all my crazy detail questions without skipping a beat. To say he had patience and kindness was an understatement. We end up going to a few stores after our visit to Mattress Firm, and we ended up going back to Brad for our purchase. Mattress Firm also had many of the mattresses we were interested in actually in stock (that was not the case anywhere else) and we received our bed in days (not weeks or months!). Also, we ended up with one concern (not about the bed or service but with an accessory we bought in addition to the bed) and we phoned Brad who was able to help us out without issue. I was very impressed. Without being too cliche, we can say with certainty that Brad helped us unjunk our sleep!

Informative, friendly, not pushy listened to what we wanted and did his best to keep us in the budget we specified. Let us try several different brands and styles, so we can make up our minds on what items we wanted. Showed us all the sale items even suggested we look online sale items, plus showed us high-end items and the differences between all of them and similarities. In the end we did make a purchase and have a good feeling about the whole process. Plus he reminded us of the 120 day exchange policy if we weren't happy.

He even called the warehouse to make sure they held the product for me to pick up. I arrived at the warehouse 10 min before close and they were patiently waiting. Gregory (who helped us) showed professionalism and carefully listened and made sure all my needs would be met with the beds he selected for me to try. Hadn't bought a mattress in almost a decade. We went to another store first and were really only shown mattresses that were far out of our price range-even after I told the saleperson our budget immediately after walking in. On a whim I searched for another place and saw that Mattress Firm had great reviews, I thought "there is no way this place is that good". The place lived up to the hype. The manager was very helpful, but not pushing our pressuring us to upgrade to more of expensive mattress. We walked in, told him our price range and he showed us which mattresses were within our budget. He also gave us some tips to trim costs elsewhere if budget was our primary concern. We ended up with a new mattress, frame, and box spring all within our budget and for less than the price of just a mattress at the competitor store we had went to first. Very helpful, professional and quite honestly no BS-very straightforward. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back if we need another mattress.

I had an excellent experience at Mattress Firm Kentwood . The first day my fiance and I went there we were just checking things out. Let me start by saying, trying to comfortably lay on a bed, in a store of people is weird! However, Mike made us feel very comfortable. He was great about letting us know what the store had to offer but then stepping back to let us check things out privately. When we had questions, he had answers. But at no point did we feel pressured to buy. After thinking about things for a couple days, we went back and laid on the two beds we were contemplating. This time we worked with Dan and we had the same great experience! We are excited to receive our mattress next week. If you're looking for a pressure free experience with knowledgeable, friendly staff, I would definitely recommend Matress Firm Kentwood.

I didn’t have time to argue because I had to get to the warehouse to pick it up. Was also surprised we didn’t receive a discount for not needing delivery and picking up our own mattress. My girlfriend Ellie asked me to help her find a mattress. She told me she wanted to purchase a good quality mattress without spending to much in order for her to get a great night sleep. I suggested that we visit several stores that are known to sell brand-name quality mattresses. After visiting three well-known retailers we decided to go back to the first store we stopped in. Mattress Firm located on 28 Street SE. When we arrived on our first visit to the Mattress Firm we noticed how nice the building and exterior parking area was well-kept. We also took note of how well the interior of the store was maintained and how they displayed their merchandise. As we entered the store a very nice gentleman (Dan) greeted us with his first name and a smile. He then welcomed us into the store. He asked for our names and how we were doing. He was sincere and personable! We told him we were shopping for a quality queen-size mattress for Ellie's new apartment. He told us was it nice meeting us and for the rest of the time we shopped he addressed us by our first names. As we walked around the store touching and lying down on mattresses we could see that Dan truly cared about Ellie finding the perfect mattress. We had many questions, sometimes asking the same question twice. We felt Dan took a personal interest in us and continued to treat us respectfully and pleasant even though we asked the same question several times. Dan's personality is unlike any other salesperson we met that evening. He had a great sense of humor and a sincere smile. Dan was extremely knowledgeable with every aspect of mattresses, box springs, mattress covers and pillows. He also made us aware of all the sales and promotions that were being offered so Ellie could get the best price possible. By the time we finished purchasing a mattress, box spring, mattress cover and several pillows Ellie and I felt we had made a new friend! Dan LaVoie did such a great job with Ellie that I went back the next day and purchased the same mattress and accessories for my home. Ellie and I will continue to refer family and friends to visit Dan at the Mattress Firm!

I bought the Recharge Hybrid Greenmont 13.5 Inch Plush Mattress along with the World Class Box Spring. My bed sits HIGH but it is SO comfortable I don't want to get out of bed in the morning. My sleep quality has improved from waking nearly every hour or two all night long to now I sleep a solid 7-8 hours. Extremely happy with this purchase, as well as the very reasonable price. Short version: Can't really imagine going any place else for a mattress. TL/DR: Went out shopping for a new mattress and box spring for my ever growing college kid. Initially thought I would just go to a big box store or a nearby furniture store that had beds, and by a whim I pulled into the 28th street store. Immediately engaged by a warm and affable Dan LaVoie, I immediately knew there would not be the usual sales pitches and pressure. He was knowledgable and informative, helping us understand our options. I was convinced he was our advocate to get the best bed for the money we were able or interested in spending. Sometimes you cross paths with a "people person" who fosters trust and puts you at ease, so much so that you become a bit skeptical that there must be some catch. This time there is no catch--he is the real deal. Once he new our range we discussed options while my son was honing his comfort preferences. We came to terms on the best option for us. Before buying, I told Dan I was going to go to a couple of other places that afternoon. He gave us advice and questions to ask about product options at the competitors before we hit the road. This showed an uncommon level of confidence and professionalism, and after my due diligence, I went back to Mattress Firm and purchased the set we selected.
