This place rocks! Just furnished my whole place (mattress, bed, sofas, bar stools, lamp, etc.) and couldn't be happier. I was nervous about buying from a catalog, but it turned out wonderfully! I'm beyond impressed with the service from Mari, Michael and the team at Sweet Dreams. To be honest, I originally purchased a "Bed in a box" from Amazon, strictly for the price. When it arrived, it was the wrong item and it's been a hassle getting it returned. Mari and her team allowed me to try out a number of beds to find the perfect fit and comfort level. I may have paid more than I would have at a big box store, but you can't buy customer service and it sure doesn't hurt to support a local business. Thanks again!

Mari is an amazing business woman-she takes the time to ask how you sleep, & what features you are looking for. Absolutely no pressure to buy & very patient so you can find the best match for you. Don’t waste your time with the big stores that don’t treat you well-buy local!! UPDATE: after one month of sleeping on the bed, I was having the worst back pain in my life & realized that the mattress was way too firm for me. I reached out to Mari & she allowed me to come back in to find a better match for me. I noticed a difference after only a couple of nights-no more severe back pain! We purchased a King Nectar Copper infused 10 days ago and the staff is wonderful, Very helpful and listens to what you like and don't like to help you get the bed that is for you, This Nectar is Amazing! My husband and I both love it and I myself don't want to get out of bed in the morning. I have never been so comfortable. This was one of the best customer service experiences ever. The owner, Mary, opened for us to visit and was an expert on what to look for in an adjustable bed. She took her time and knew how to advise us on which mattresses and frames to try, based on our unique needs. The bed we ordered was delivered on time by very friendly staff, and the price can’t be beat. This is the best bed we’ve ever had, and the only regret is not visiting this shop sooner-truly phenomenal! We are getting the best sleep and they made it so convenient delivering the mattress, setting up the adjustable base frame for us, and dropping off the mattress pad/sheets at the same time. We have had an awesome experience with Sweet Dreams Mattress Ctr. It started 3 years ago when my niece purchased a memory foam mattress from there that she raved about. We needed a new queen for our guest room and the price she paid was so reasonable that we went up from Kansas City area and bought the same mattress. Everyone that came to visit loved our mattress. We just ordered several more beds for a family farmhouse, along with a new mattress for our master bedroom at home. Everything went smooth, but I was not "loving" the memory foam mattress I bought for our master. I called and Mari was so helpful! Even though the maker of the mattress didn't offer a trial period, she allowed us to return it and listened to likes and dislikes about the mattress. She set us up with a new mattress that we absolutely LOVE. She said they want their customers to sleep well and to be pleased with their mattress bought from them, and they truly stand behind what they say. We would not go any place else for our mattress needs. They also sell amazing sheets for a great price. We've purchased several sets because nothing we've found beats them. I have been looking for beds for the last month for my children. I have went to many places. Homemakers, Slumberland. I felt like I was only getting a salesman for the highest price. I found Sweet Dreams through Facebook and called Mari she was wonderful I went up there today with my family as I live in Des Moines and I definitely would drive for the excellent service I was provided. She went into detail about every bed option she has in the store and the knowledge she has about all the beds is amazing. Mari truly cares about the service and customers that come through her door. Purchased our first king size mattress and adjustable base about 6 months ago. Was a bit nervous because of the "discount" aspect of the store, but was very impressed from the start with the staff, 1 minor hick up on the adjustable base and it was fixed the next day. Very happy with the product and would recommend everyone to go there. Saved over $1500 from almost exact product at a major store.

An amazing place to find great mattresses at even greater prices. The customer service is top notch. My wife and I were greeted at the door and were given full attention the entire time we were in the business. The owner really listened to what we were looking for in a new bed and helped guide us to our final selection. We laid on several mattresses from pillow tops, memory foams, and mixtures of the two until we came to the conclusion on our mattress. The owner wanted us to spend as much time needed to find what we truly would be happy with, rather than trying to sell us the most expensive one she could. She never pushed us to buy a mattress, but rather said to take our time making a selection and to let her know what we were thinking, even if we were not going to buy one. After making our selection we asked about delivery and even the delivery is an amazing deal, at less than $1 per mile and only paying for one way and the delivery guys moved the mattress into our place, unwrapped it and placed it where we wanted it, there is no better deal than Sweet Dreams. If looking for a place to search for a new bed, take a look here first, you wont be disappointed in customer service, selection, and prices.

When we were moving into new house last year we needed beds for four rooms. Even if we needed to spend enough money on mattresses we wanted to have good quality mattresses instead of not just 'clearance items' for our guests and future children. When my husband found Sweet Dreams Mattress Center in the small town of Iowa I had a bit of doubt about the quality compare to their price. However, they absolutely impressed me with the collections, its quality and as well as the price. I have purchased one King Tempurpedic Rhapsody, One Queen Serta Fresco, two Full Serta Fresco, low profile boxes for each and four protectors. The grand total we had spent was regular price of one Tempurpedic mattress that we almost had spent at retail stores (Even at those clearance stores). Also the other mattresses were high end/ brand name that department stores would carry. We wanted to have firm beds and we found the ones that we are absolutely happy with at the price that we would never had imagine. Also, the people who works there... so great people. The email and phone communication with Mari was so great and I was so thankful that they (all staff) took good care of us even from the moment that I paid and got home. Helped us loading mattresses securely and even gave us a call to make sure we arrived home safely in the snowy/rainy weather. Good people sells Good product with Good price.

If you are looking for a truly great mattress at a great price, this is the place to come. Family-owned, they truly give you time and space to help you find the best fit. We were given 2 pillows and a sheet, and spent time lying on the mattresses we were interested in. I went there because of the unbeatable price and recommendation by my friend. It was a rush shopping but on the other hands you can call it efficient one. The manager has the knowledge and can narrow down selection of your dream mattress very fast. Eventually, I bought mine for $1,199. After I got home, i checked their on-line price and found the same mattress was priced at $1,099. So I called back. After checking, the manager immediately admitted it was their mistake and gave me $100 back. Whatever the reason of price difference, their customer service is definitely great. Here I got unbeatable price, quality mattress and great customer service. Could not expect more. I would recommend this place to others.

We bought our first mattress for our parents several months ago which ended up to be too soft. We made one phone call back to Sweet Dreams Mattress Center asking for a firmer mattress and 2 hours later the delivery vehicle came to my parents house and exchanged their soft mattress with a little firmer one. The owners here gave me one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had in my life. One of the owners, Mary, is a mattress encyclopedia and made made sure we were educated on every product we were looking at. She listened to our needs for a bed, compared and contrasted all of the beds we were choosing from, and helped us pick out the perfect bed. Their products are TOP QUALITY (they only carry the best) and their prices were so cheap I was almost in shock. I could not be happier with my experience here. I traveled nearly 80 miles to buy from them, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

We needed two twin mattresses for our kids' bunk beds and we went to Sweet Dreams not knowing what to expect as the prices looked too good to be true. The staff was professional and kind and gave us as much time as we needed to look, and the products were indeed high quality and name brand. We spent 45 minutes there with our two kids lying on mattresses and pillows until we made up our mind, and the kids had fun playing with the many stuffed animal 'bed bugs' placed around the store. We chose to buy from them, and while other products were offered, there was no off putting hard sale push or pressure. The prices were great, and they delivered the very same day for us so our kids would have beds that night. I will definitely go back whenever we are in the market again.

Had a great experience shopping at Sweet Dreams. The sales staff made an extra effort to have me try several beds for extended times in the store to find the best one. They've been in business since the 1800s and I was proud to support a local small business. Delivery to the DSM metro was cheap and far beat out the prices of the competition. When you first walk in you will get a warm greeting by a knowledgeable and caring owner. Loved that the it was family owned plus she didn't have that rude or pushy sales pitch just friendly and helpful. I told her what I was interested in and happy to find a large selection. When I couldn't decide between two they went out of their way to set everything up for us to try them. If you choose delivery they will haul away the old matress and set up the new one. They were quick and efficient in there job but also friendly and answered all my questions. I even got a phone call seeing how my first night went! Would definitely recommend!

5 stars across the board! Great customer service. Unbelievable prices. Fantastic selection. My husband and I were in desperate need of a new bed. We weren't sleeping well and waking up with aches and pains all over. Mari was very knowledgeable in the different kinds of mattresses and the brands. She described all the different kinds we were most interested in. She gave us a sheet and two pillows to try each bed. We laid on each mattress for about 5-10 minutes to get a real feel for it. Mari had no problem explaining the differences in mattresses more than once. It's nice that they have such a large selection of brands because they aren't trying to push something on you that you don't want. You can shop all the brands right there in one store. We ended up not only getting a mattress, but an adjustable base and pillows! The price for all three at Sweet Dreams was cheaper than what just the mattress would have been at a normal mattress retail store! We were there until closing. Mari and Steve delivered our mattress to Ankeny the same night so we didn't have to wait a few days for the next delivery, and were able to enjoy it right away! They stayed and made sure everything was set up and working properly. What other business offers that kind of customer service?! My only complaint is that I can't stay awake in bed at night to watch my shows and old movies! I'm so relaxed and comfortable that I'm able to fall asleep much quicker than before :) We loved our experience at Sweet Dreams and will definitely be recommending it to anyone else in need of a great mattress.

We searched the internet for a specific king size headboard and found it on the Sweet Dreams website. We sent an email inquiring and they responded quickly to help us place an order. We live 3 hours away and were passing thru the Des Moines area 2 weeks later. They followed up with the distributor to make sure they could get it in time for our pickup. They were exceptional in service and communication. We picked up the headboard, they helped us load it and off we went. I would recommend this place to anyone!!! Amazing prices, name brands but not pushed to one brand over the other, and Mari is a very nice and informative lady. You definitely get more for your money here, even on a budget (I am a student and my boyfriend works). Mari really encourage to take your time on the beds to make sure you get the perfect one for yourself. There is a large selection as well. I got a better bed with boxsprings, frame, and mattress cover for less than what I could get other stores for being on a budget!!

My fiancé and I went into Sweet Dreams looking for a new mattress to start our new life together. We had never shopped for a mattress before. Thank goodness Mari was so patient and knowledgeable. She walked us through the store answering all of our many questions while we tested out several mattresses. The prices at other mattress stores don't even compare to Sweet Dreams. The whole staff was so friendly we felt like family by the time we left. We found the perfect mattress for us. Before getting our new mattress we both actually thought a mattress is a mattress. Boy were we wrong! I have a fitbit that monitors my sleep. I use to toss and turn and wake up approx. 26 times a night and my fiancé would do the same over 40 times a night. Now that we have our new mattress I average 3 wakeful moments a night and my fiancé 6. Wow what a difference! We feel so rested and ready to go in the morning now its unbelievable! We also purchased two "I love my pillow" pillows which I think is a must have as well. I think this slogan has already been taken but seriously "WHY SHOP ANYWHERE ELSE"
