He’s not an eager beaver who will spew nonsense just to make a sale, something I experience quite a bit. He was patient, knowledgeable, and listened carefully to my needs and genuinely cared about finding me the best mattress. We’ve spent a decade doing foam mattresses from a box or notified dot-com and all of them have degraded in <50% of their supposed lifetime. So we tried a big retail store. We entered and were greeted by enthusiastic sales staff. Ali showed my wife and I some options, but I was pretty sold after trying out the supreme beautyrest. Like being shown a Cadillac as the first option on the lot. We wound up taking it and delivery was a snap 2 days later. That said, this wasn’t a bargain path. You’re paying for a retail storefront in pricey Manhattan as part of the retail cost. But after chasing bargains and having the replacement cadence and sore hips to show for it, I’m opting for a different path and am sleeping so well.

The saleswoman was helpful and won’t be on the call of duty with patience when answering all my many questions and needing to try lots of pillows. She seemed genuinely interested in making sure that I was clear but all the different options and gave her feedback as well when I pointed out certain pillows and her experience with them. The pillow is going to be sent to me directly from the warehouse, so I don’t have to go and pick it up which is great. I would highly recommend this place.

Amber (our salesperson) was amazing! Not only did she help walk us through the online warranty process for our damaged mattress (purchase over a year ago online) and print out the necessary items, but also guided us through purchasing a new mattress and adjustable bed frame, and coordinated for a speedy delivery, and picked up the phone immediately (on a Sunday!) when there was a hiccup with removal of our old bed frame. Overall, the entire process was smooth, and Amber was incredibly helpful, kind, and professional.

We had such a great experience at Mattress Firm with Abdel! He was really patient with us, answered all of our questions, and did not pressure us at all. We tried a ton of beds before selecting a wonderful mattress (and pillows and encasements) with Abdel's help. Our bed frame was backordered for months, and Abdel worked with us so that the mattress would be delivered around the time the bed would be. He even remembered that our building requires a certificate of insurance and sent it to us when the time came for delivery faster than any vendor I've ever worked with, even though it had been months since we last spoke!

Today I visited the mattress firm over on 72and Broadway, I had a truly stress free experience! Usually I walk in and out of mattress stores because it’s stressful but not today! The staff were very welcoming, the store felt safe and clean (in the sense of this new covid world) and the overall experience was pleasant. She recommended a specific mattress due to me being a side sleeper. I finally decided to go with her recommendation but not without testing it out in the store. Went in today totally lost on what we were looking for in a mattress. We were warmly welcomed by Amber. She immediately asked our names (and remembered how to correctly pronounce mine, something I always appreciate!). She dove right in, asking us about our sleeping habits and used some system to help us get started in finding the right mattress. We were incredibly indecisive. Amber never once rushed us, she took her time to explain the benefits and honest insight on the products we were considering. She stayed with us to answer questions, but also gave us moments alone to talk it over. I always appreciate having a moment alone to kinda debrief. In the end, we just couldn’t decide, but were incredibly grateful for Amber’s help. When we told her we wanted to take some time to think, she was understanding and even took the time to ask us about what we were hesitant on. She was helpful and thorough. Whenever we do make a decision, we will be going back to her! She is knowledgeable, friendly, has a good sense of humor and top notch customer service!

We do need a mattress store!! You can buy it online, but there's nothing like the store experience!! Jameel was fantastic, gave all the information I needed to take my decision. No pressure at all! I tried all the mattresses I felt like until I found the one! Price was fair, the service to remove the old one and install the new one was informed and offered at the check out. It was a great experience overall. Way better than buying online.

Mattress firm is the way to go with free fast shipping and extra worry free warranty. Jameel was very thorough and clear on when the delivery date would be, price and that I will be receiving a brand new mattress, not off the store floor! He was incredibly knowledgeable and communicated into simple terms the answers to complicated questions. He respected my budget and helped guide me to the best purchase for my price range. Yesterday, my girlfriend and I went in to Mattress Firm expecting to go home and do some research/pricing before committing to a purchase. I also had some questions regarding vague statements on their website. We were not expecting to buy in-store, but we ended up very satisfied and buying a new mattress on the spot. At first, things started off a bit rocky. The first salesman that spotted us was overly pushy - I told him we wanted to try mattresses first and then we had some questions, but he insisted on having us ask questions first. Upon hearing our questions, he gave us the same company-line statements that I had read off the website (not helpful). Eventually he said “hold on, let me get you someone else to help you - I have a $20,000 sale upstairs that I don’t want to lose”. This bothered me...as a customer I don’t really care who else you’re helping. If you want my business, you should be patient and attentive to me, especially if you’re the one that approaches us. He definitely rubbed us the wrong way. Fortunately, Ryan the second salesman we worked with was excellent! He was patient, transparent, receptive, and let us guide the conversation. He showed us the mattresses we already had in mind while also bringing to our attention other mattresses he felt may interest us, all the while letting us spend ample time with each. Eventually when we settled on a mattress, he was able to match a lower price that we had seen online and reduce some of the additional fees. Overall, his customer service was excellent and we felt completely comfortable buying our new mattress through him. When you go to Mattress Firm, ask for Ryan!

Huge thank you to Jameel for helping me and my partner get a mattress! After waiting 2 months and canceling from another company, Jameel made sure we could get one in the same WEEK. He listened to all our woes and showed us three mattresses, he knew exactly which one we would like and he was right. The discounts are also very nice. My only complaint is that we bought box springs and they made the bed too high and were unneeded so we refused to take them and have to get them refunded. The so called sleep experts here are paid by commission and will say anything to get you to make a payment. If anything goes wrong they will blame everyone but themselves. I ordered my tempur pro-adapt on 9/6 with Jameel. I solely ordered with him because he said and I quote that he promises the bed will be delivered on the same day I move to another state based on his "25 years of experience" working there. And as you've guessed it, my mattress got delayed and no one told me about this until I checked the app on the day I moved. There I was, in a new city with no car and no bed to sleep in. I called up Jameel, who promised me a $200 reimbursement for an air mattress while the bed gets shipped, my bed continued to get delayed 3 more times after that (no follow ups whatsoever). Now I understand that tempur is short in supply at this time. What really annoyed me even after I got my bed, Jameel has been ghosting me about my air mattress reimbursement for 3 weeks. == update == The manager reached out and resolved my issue immediately. I really appreciated the quickness in action and I hope similar experience won't happen to others.

I visited a department store today to shop for a mattress. I picked one I really liked, and it also happened to be on sale. Unfortunately, when I went to finalize the purchase I was informed the mattress would take at least four weeks to arrive based on the covid impact to the industry. As I am moving next week, that was an issue. On my way home, I stopped by Mattress Firm to see if they carried the same mattress. While they didn't have the same one, they had a similar option from the same brand and Jameel offered to match the sale price I would have received. Unfortunately, it didn't come with a free box spring like the department store offered, but since they are able to deliver next week, it ended up being a good alternative for me so I made the purchase on the spot. I hope the delivery is as seamless and efficient as my store visit was today. Thanks Jameel for the price match and help finalizing a good delivery option.

After being treated like absolute garbage by the manager/salesman at the Hoboken location- (That’s another review), I went to Bayonne location where the store smelled like weed and the belligerent salesman went out of his way to school and reprimand me- These two locations need new staff. This was the first time I was buying a mattress in New York City. It was actually a gift for my daughter from me. I knew very little how to choose a suitable mattress within my budget. Alex, an extremely pleasant young man, helped me find the exact mattress I needed. My daughter is happily sleeping on it now and I have found the right person and the perfect store to go to when I require a mattress for myself. I still remember my first experience with Johnny at Sleepy's. After searching the net for a particular mattress that I was looking for, I met Johnny and explained that my spouse and I take many vacations and our accommodations are always at Hilton Hotels. We sleep so great at these hotels, we fell in love with their mattresses, so we pulled up the sheets and took pictures of the label on the bed. It turned out that the mattress is a signature model for Hilton made by Serta (the one with the sheep!🙂). I told this story to Johnny and he did research to find the perfect King size mattress. It sounds like a cliche, but we hit it off like this guys been my buddy for years. And trust me, I'm a skeptical type of personality. Johnny went above and beyond when I had questions about mattress info... He is very knowledgeable when it comes to mattresses and I think that, most of all makes me very comfortable. I worked with Chuck. Legit, was not planning to buying anything while I was there, but did want to look at the beds. Not sure who the first guy I talked to was, but he was nice told me to look around and feel comfortable to sit on everything. Sometime passed and then Chuck came up. Ask what I was looking for. I explained that I was moving from my dorm to a new place and just wanted to check out the Queen beds. He asked what kind of bed I liked and that we were off. He had me sit on a bed down stairs (BTWs two floor place. There are stairs and an elevator. The elevator moves MAD SLOW and makes a few questionable sounds) the bed was AMAZING! I could have fallen asleep right there. I felt heaven, i knew of love. This bed was magic and I desired it. He told me about the sale going on (Buy a Queen, pay the price of a full). I asked for a little time. He went upstairs. Maybe 20 minutes later, yelling from the top floor "You good", i asked how much shipping cost. He told me shippin and my total. I bought the bed. No regrets, might even buy an adjustable frame in the next few months. Not sure yet. He was a good guy, down to earth.
