We got a very comprehensive explanation of all the different mattresses, the differences, the benefits, etc. We never felt rushed by Darnell, but he was there to help us through making the selection. The sales rep Ralph was upfront and felt like he genuinely was trying to work out the best value deal for me. It didn’t feel like he was trying to squeeze more money out of me and understood I had a limited budget. Would definitely recommend Edit/Update: I just moved in to a new apartment to find that my queen size was too big for my room and wanted to exchange it for a full size. I called up Ralph hoping that we could work something out and it seems he genuinely tried to make things as easy as possible for me. He wound up getting me the exchange and delivery fully free of charge. I mean seriously, Ive never written a google review before but Ralph and mattress firm have offered such a nice experience that I was more than happy to give them a shoutout. I truly didn't know customer service like this existed, I really appreciate it so much. Thanks guys

The salesman did a good job ordering the mattress and box spring I wanted. I had been in a few days before and they didn't have what I wanted so I looked online and found exactly what I needed. Could have done it all that way and had the set delivered in the same time frame but my Bank would have "Secured" my account for such a large purchase online. So at the Store they handled it well and no issues. I'm getting what I wanted in 10days and still have their warranties AND the huge savings over a Holiday weekend.

*Edit* A couple months after I bought my first mattress I realized it wasn't the right choice and went in for an exchange. The first time I went the guy who was there wasn't helpful at all, but this time the 2 gentlemen who helped me were amazing! I don't know the first guy's name, but the other was Ralph. The first gentleman helped me pick out a mattress for my specific needs and didn't try to upsell me which i really appreciated. When i called the next day to do the exchange with the manager he was out sick and I got Ralph. Ralph went above and beyond helping me with not only the exchange, but the delivery and restocking costs. After feeling unsure about my first encounter there, these 2 changed my whole outlook and I would go back to them just for the service they provided.* I don't think there was anything great about my experience but not necessarily bad either. I called to get some questions answered and Darnell never called me back so I had to go in. I wouldn't have bought from him but I needed a new mattress desperately and wasn't going to a million places, but he didn't really help just cashed me out. I needed my old mattress removed because it was so heavy so it cost me $120 for delivery and removal when they could've delivered the new mattress to my door for free and I could've paid 15 dollars and got a sticker to have the old one picked up. If I hate my mattress, after spending however much money, now I have to pay even more to get a new one plus a restocking fee and delivery and pickup?? There's just way too many fees when you're making a big purchase. Next time I'll take more time looking and go somewhere else.

When my husband and I visited Mattress Firm to shop for a mattress, Ralph cheerfully welcomed us! We explained that our 9 1/2 year old Tempurpedic has a 25 year warranty , was sagging but we couldn't find the receipt to proceed with a warranty claim. He immediately looked up the info and printed a copy and explained what we had to do. After going through the warranty procedure, we returned, and Ralph again helped us assess which mattress would fit our needs. As we await our mattress replacement, we chose to purchase pillows there with Ralph's assistance. We were quite impressed by Ralph's expertise and genuine willingness to help us out! With such amazing customer care service, we highly recommend this store and will definitely buy here in the future!

We recently purchased a new mattress at Mattress Firm and realized after the 30 day trial period that the mattress did not work for me. I found that I was too hot at night. I bought my mattress from Mattress Firm about 3 months ago, and it's been one of the best purchases I've ever made. I had been considering buying a new mattress but wasn't sure I was ready. My boyfriend encouraged me to at least start looking because my back was always bothering me. Our first trip to Mattress Firm was a good one. Darnell took the time to show me some of the mattresses and walked me through the differences of them. He wasn't pushy and let me browse once all of my questions were answered. I wasn't quite ready to make a purchase though so my boyfriend and I visited another store to take a look at their mattresses. They ended up being extremely rude and not helpful at all. After that experience I knew I wanted to give my business to Mattress Firm. My next visit to Mattress Firm was even better than the first time. Rothann was THE best! She spent quite a bit of time with me so I could find "my" mattress. She was easy to work with and very patient as I tried many mattresses. She was honest when one didn't seem to "fit" me properly and in the end was able to recommend the perfect mattress. Best mattress shopping experience ever tonight. We popped in to browse their selection and right away had help from a long time salesman, Ralph. He patiently listened to our current mattress issues and what we were looking for. He walked us thru several brands and models never pressuring us one way or another. After ordering via phone (online), promised my order (confirmed via email) on a frame being delivered on the 1st of DECEMBER, I attempted to call back with the number used to place the initial order since I had never received the frame (on December 1st). After poor customer service (not being able to talk with anyone live), I called Darnell at the Pittsfield store. Darnell and his customer service went above anything I had expected. I now will have a frame and box spring delivered on the same day as my mattress. Thank you Darnell, I can't thank you enough for calming me down and taking care of me. Diana - Like the Princess! My eighty five year old mother & I moved from Florida to Massachusetts recently. It was my mother's dream to move back "home" and spend the rest of her life here. We rented a truck for the move. After four days of driving we were HOME! When we opened the back of the truck, a small wave of water came out of the truck! We had been given a damaged truck - it had a hole in its' roof! The manager of the truck rental company in Florida had inspected the truck with us - none of us saw the hole because it had been hidden by silver tape that matched the aluminum roof inside the truck. We lost EVERYTHING! My mother & I slept on air mattresses while the insurance company dealt with our claim. I spent so much money on the move. I had to come up with more money to pay rent and put down a deposit for a storage unit. Day after day I saw how the stress was taking its' toll on my mother. After two weeks of sleeping on the air mattress, my mother was in so much pain that she was having trouble walking! I was so concerned, so stressed out, and I had very little money left. I knew I had to do something to help my mother. I had done business with Mattress Firm in the past. I had purchased two mattress sets from them when we lived in Florida. Mattress Firm always treated me with kindness, honesty, and professionalism. I called the Mattress Firm in Pittsfield, MA and Diana answered the phone. I needed to have a potentially embarrassing conversation with her so I felt incredibly awkward. I explained the situation to Diana. I went into detail about the truck incident, how we had lost everything including our mattress sets, that my mother was having difficulty walking, and I didn't have a lot of money to spend. Diana listened to every detail. She let me talk and never interrupted or seemed impatient with me. When I was finished explaining our situation to Diana the first thing she did was comfort me. She didn't talk down to me because I didn't have a lot of money to spend. She told me immediately that she would do everything she could to help us! My mother & I headed straight over to Mattress Firm to see Diana. She already had mattresses pulled out for my mother that were truly in our budget! She was so kind to us. She treated us with respect and truly cared about us. Diana worked directly with my mother. She was patient with my mother and really listened to what she had to say about each mattress. After choosing a mattress, my mother and I sat down with Diana and scheduled a delivery date & time. Everything was done perfectly! Diana's attention to detail was flawless. She sincerely asked us if she could help us with anything else. Diana earned our trust! We'll see her again soon to purchase another mattress set. The delivery & set up went perfectly as well. I'm so happy my mother is feeling better both physically & emotionally! I can't thank you enough, Diana! You're a total STAR!
