My mom had a compression fracture in her back and she came home from the hospital. We needed an adjustable mattress base. I called the Arden store in a panic and Michael helped me figure it out. When we went to pick it up in asheville they were amazing and showed us what to do when we got it home. A big thanks to both locations for the amazing customer service. We will definitely be back in the future.

Michael at the Arden store was awesome. First thing he asked us when we came in was how did we sleep (on our back, side, etc) and what we preferred for softness amd other preferences. He then matched our answers to different mattress types, explaining why he was showing us those specific products and had us actuallylay down and test everything he was showing us. He was very knowledgeable about the product, answering all of our questions and without us asking, he showed us various price points, allowing us to make the most informed decision. His options were far more reasonable than Mattress Firm across the street and he even explained how pricing worked with different manufacturers. I didn't think I'd enjoy buying a mattress but Michael made it easy and was very helpful. I highly recommend visiting his Arden location if you're in the market for a new mattress, you won't be disappointed!

Absolutely love these guys! Because I was so indecisive I ended going to 3 of the Mattress Man locations and at each location the salesperson was helpful and informative, without pressuring me to make a purchase. I left feeling like I got a great deal on a mattress and platform and that the guys there were looking out for me. Delivery was made within 2 days and they set up everything and took away my old mattress very quickly. Couldn’t recommend this business enough.

As newly weds searching for a bed that would meet the needs for two different people we didn’t know where to start. But when we walked into the last mattress store, we were helped by Michael, he is by far the most knowledgeable and most personable to work with. Michael Riblett was a excellent example of the care given to customers. I was impressed from entering the store with his attention to the couple he was helping and his interaction with me. His asked if I had any questions he could help with while he continued to to take care on the 1st customers. I was more then willing to wait and he did a careful job taking care of his customer. He was knowledgeable and did not use a pressure job on on either of us. He took time and did not make me feel rushed. I returned a few hour later with my husband to make a decision and again no pressure. We bought the mattress, left and realized husband wanted a head board, we went back in and upon decision we decided that we wanted wood and went to the closest furniture store...more info was needed after we found a frame (but did not purchase yet). So third time is a charm and Michael was again a huge help. He called a manager, who called us within 15 minutes of leaving the store and has offered to talk with the salesman to make sure we are getting the proper headboard. They have gone to extreme measures to help us in every way. We couldn't be more pleased.

It was the end of a long day of laying on way too many mattresses at several other mattress stores. We had been given the hard sell, the schmooze sell, the used care salesman sell, the haughty sell and we were numb. Our last stop before calling it quits was the Mattress Man Store on Airport Rd where we met Ryan Filio. Here was a real person who was more interested in making sure we were comfortable with the task of choosing the right bed for us than making the next sale. Ryan gently questioned us about sleep habits and preferences. He educated us about mattress construction with cut-aways that showed the various components of them, explaining the purpose of each element. He told us the pros and cons of each mattress type. He actually helped us come to a decision about which one would be better for us. This was such a difference from the other stores we had visited. We actually enjoyed the experience and interaction with Ryan so much that we stayed several minutes after the sale was completed to discuss other common interests. I highly recommend this Mattress Man store and suggest you make it your first and last stop when you need a new bed.

I had the best experience once again at this store. I bought my daughters bed here years ago and now it was time to replace mine. From the minute I walked in, Ryan was so kind and knowledgeable about all the beds. He took the time to ask questions based on my preference and steered me in the right direction. He was very patient as I took quite awhile to narrow it down. This is a family business and that is huge in my book. The price was amazing and the warranty is a big plus. They dont work on commission so there was no pressure to purchase anything other than what I came in for. I say this because I went to Mattress Firm first and that is all they did was try to sell me so many other things besides the bed. Then they mentioned to me they work on commission...now it all made sense. From now on and in the future I won't even bother to shop around, I will just go here. I have already told several friends about this store and would recommend them to anyone. They delivered the bed yesterday, set it up and took the old one away. The 2 gentlemen that delivered were very professional and courteous. P.S. I had the BEST night sleep last nite in my new bed that I have had in years. No BS! The manager Wes and his sales associate were awesome to work with. They patiently answered all my questions and didn’t try to sell me on a product. No high pressure sales tactics here. I got a great adjustable base at an awesome price. When I received a call before they were to deliver my base, I thought oh no..here goes the upsell..but no! They told me that the part to synchronize the frames was on back order for three months but that they were going to upgrade my base to a better model for free! They totally delivered and I love my new adjustable base! Shopping for the "perfect" mattress can be soooo confusing and exhausting! We have bought 3 mattresses in the past 8 years looking for that perfect mattress that will eliminate lower back pain and tossing and turning the entire night. We were prepared to check out every mattress shop in Arden so we started with Mattress Man because they would be closing at 7 and the others were open later. There was no need to check out the competitors! Ryan was very knowledgeable, he took time to listen to our needs and made recommendations. He wasn't pushy at all and very patient as I narrowed it down to 2 mattresses and went back and forth time after time to make the right decision keeping him after hours. I walked into the store, the manager asked what I was looking for, I explained that I wanted the most extra firm mattress he had in the 500$ range, without delay or trying to sell me what he wanted eseme to buy, he walked over pulled out the closest thing he had to what I requested, I layed on it much to my surprise it was exactly what I was looking for, and for a 150$ less than the budget I had given him. The whole process took less than 3 minutes. Now that's the way I like to shop, the manager was a great guy, and did a great job. I recommend these guys to anyone looking for a good deal on what YOU want, not what they want you to buy!

One question he did ask, that other stores did not, was what were our actuall sleeping positions, and showed us beds that worked for us.... Ryan did a good job at representing himself and his product. He offered help with several options based on what we wanted to spend to replace a matress set in a guest room. There was no pressure sales pitch or attempts at offering an even lower "special price" than was originally quoted, if we would sign the order on the spot. We told Ryan that we wanted to look at a few more stores so we could comparison shop, and he actually encouraged us to do so. So many furniture and matress stores now are like walking onto used car lots with pushy salespeople; it was nice not to have to endure that at this store. We liked that the store is locally owned as well. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I had to pick up the matress at the other store on Tunnel Road, but hey, you can't keep everything on hand in a limited space, so I understand. I recommend that you put this place on your list when you need to get a new matress or accessories.

He was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, taking the time to explain to a couple of bed-illiterate buyers the new options, features, benefits, etc. After researching beds online, we found their pricing very competitive. OK so my daughter got a new bedroom set we hauled off for old one and sure enough the new 1 didn't fit her mattress the rails were wrong. So she stuck with no bed. I literally called about every Place in Asheville. No one had bed rails in stock everyone could order them but it would take a while to get Here. I happened across mattress man not only did they have the Babe reals in stock exactly what I needed, But they were substantially cheaper than everyone else. And when I got there the staff was so friendly the gentleman that help me took time to explain all the different options no high pressure sales, Just make sure that I had exactly what I needed, it was just a great experience.
