We had a great experience in the store: the employee was patient and answered all of our questions, including the pros and cons of different mattress types. Mattresses have gotten quite expensive since we last bought one, but we appreciated Mattress Man including free pillows and delivery service. Our mattress was delivered on time and efficiently. It's also nice to support a locally-owned company. We'll definitely use them again when we need to replace our guest room mattress.

Went to mattress man on a whim. There was one in the shopping center I was at, and the gentleman there helped greatly. James was informative and also went the extra mile to check with the other location to see if they had the mattress I was interested in stock. So I went to that location where Wes assisted me by even switching out the mattress on displace so I could feel the difference. Would definitely recommend. Going to pick up my purchase today! So great!

We were looking for a new king mattress and had gone to a few other stores but decided to try the Mattress Man store. Despite the logo, we found everything we experienced to be professional and a very positive experience. Wes was very knowledgeable and accommodating of our selection process. We ended up getting an adjustable split king mattress and frame that was reasonably priced as well as sheets and pillows.

From the moment I walked in I felt very comfortable there. James Emrick did not push us to any specific bed. I can tell you that across the street felt pushy and VERY “just make the sale” store. Awesome service. Got the bed at an amazing deal. It was raining and they double wrapped my bed for me so it wouldn’t get wet and loaded it on my truck. One salesman there also lent me his straps to strap the bed to my truck. Not many that will do that. I am very thankful. Thanks Mattress Man!!!

Then, we visited Mattress Man, and it was the most positive experience we have ever had making a purchase like this. We bought four king mattresses and box springs, as well as sheets and pillows, and James was just the kindest and most knowledgeable salesperson we have ever had the pleasure of buying from. From start to finish, the experience was so easy and wonderful. He knew his stock really well, his shipping schedule, and so much information about each mattress type. We had thought about going to a larger store first, but we are so so glad we did not. They were able to ship everything we needed within the week, just like we asked. My husband and I were greeted by James immediately upon our arrival at the store. He listened carefully to what we were looking for in a new mattress. He showed us four models in different price ranges that he thought would meet our expectations and let us take time to try each one. James explained the differences in construction and warranty for each mattress. He allowed us to go back and forth between mattresses with absolutely no pressure and patiently answered ALL our questions. We eventually selected a Beautyrest pillow top mattress in a queen size. It was extremely comfortable! The store was very clean, which contributed to a pleasant shopping experience! We highly recommend Mattress Man stores for all your mattress needs!

I could write a lot of positive things about this experience, but the review would be too long. I walked in the store ready to buy a mattress. I hadn’t purchased a mattress in a long time, so I wanted information. Wes patiently answered my questions. All of them... Once I narrowed down the bed I wanted, he worked with me on price. Are they trying to make money? Yes! They are running a business. However, within the bounds of a company making money, I felt taken care of and treated fairly. Delivery was an equally great experience. I needed them to wait several days to deliver so I could paint my bedroom. As soon as I said I was ready, Wes set it up. My two delivery guys were awesome. They were on time. They were organized. They were friendly & polite. (Charlie gave me a card but I didn’t get the name of the other, I’m sorry!) This bed is a higher level of comfort than I’ve ever experienced. If you need a mattress, please go and try out beds at the store. I cannot say enough good things about Mattress Man store, General Manager, Wes and the delivery crew as well as the bed itself. I doubt I’d consider going anywhere else in the future and 100% will recommend them to friends and family.

High end mattresses are important to me in my business at our bed and breakfast. James absolutely blew me away with his his knowledge but was very personable. The two other stores I shopped were pushy, cold and didn’t understand that I was trying to go high end without breaking the bank. James wasn’t pushy which was appreciated but listened ( which is rare), showed me my options and expressed his knowledge based on my needs. I couldn’t have had a better experience and an now in the process of upgrading my inn. James and his family (local family owned and operated) will have all my future business. Highly recommend!

After a horrible experience with buying a mattress online, I ended up at Mattress Man on a whim. I couldn't have been more pleased with the experience! The staff was super helpful and knowledgeable without being pushy. We also liked that it is a local family run business. They found the perfect mattress that worked best for both me and my partner and we were able to take our time testing it out without feeling rushed. The delivery process was also a breeze! Bringing the new mattress in and taking our old one out took maybe 5 minutes. We have slept on our new mattress for a few nights now and already love it!

We had already been to four other mattress stores looking for a new king mattress but decided to also visit Mattress Man in the Overlook Village. The young man helping us that evening was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. At other stores they seemed a bit over zealous or in one store, the sales person couldn’t adequately answer our questions. We were impressed with the way we were provided information on the different mattresses at Mattress Man and also how we were not pressured or just directed to the most expensive mattresses. We found a Restonic hybrid that we liked for a good price and decided to buy it. We ended up getting both free box springs and free delivery. We were pleased with the price. He scheduled the delivery for the following Saturday and said that we would get a call on Friday with the specific time. On Friday, we received a call saying they would deliver between 1 and 1:30 on Saturday. They did arrive right on time and quickly set up our new bed and removed our old mattress and box springs. The young men delivering were very nice and conscientious. We have now had our mattress for about a week. It seems a bit firmer than it was in the store but does seem to become a little softer day by day. We appreciate the 120 night guarantee if we should need to go to a more plush option but don’t think we will need to. We were very impressed with Mattress Man from start to finish. We would highly recommend Mattress Man!

Went to Mattress Man store across from Asheville Mall. Wes was extremely professional and knowledgeable about his products as well as those of his competitors (both in stores and online). Despite mattress delays across the country (my Saatva Plush was about 3 weeks behind) Wes helped us find the right type of mattress, in our price point, available today. The owner at the pickup location by Big Lots also went out of his way to help load the mattress and answer our other questions. I was originally going to order a bed online to avoid mattress stores, but I was very happy with the staff at Mattress Man. I look forward to sleeping on the bed tonight! (Tip, rent the $20 truck at Lowe's)

I would highly recommend Mattress Man to anyone in the market for a new bed. Myself and my significant other went to several places looking for a new mattress and although none of them were terrible, Mattress Man was by far the best experience. Employees are not paid on commission so there is no one pressuring you to buy a mattress and no hard sales techniques used, which was big for me because I personally can't stand a sleazy used car salesman type person following me around a store trying to force me to buy something, so that part was really great and distinguishes them from 95% of all mattress stores. They were also extremely knowledgeable, gave us an amazing deal on an amazing bed, delivered very quickly plus they literally showed up the very minute they said they would, and the overall customer service was amazing. So if you need a mattress, definitely stop here before making a final decision.

I'm a retired engineer who researches, analyzes, and tests major purchases to a HIGH degree. I bought a very high quality mattress today from a great person (Brent) in the Asheville store. He listened carefully to my needs and matched me with a few options that were spot on. He was not an arm twisting sales person, but more like a knowledgeable "consultant". Brent also arranged for delivery in 2 days because we had some urgency. I can't say enough about my initial experience with Brent and Mattress Man. Completely different experience vs. past bed buying experiences at the "chains".

I just had a bit of a problem with my box springs. It has broken in two places within a few months. I went to Mattress Man and talked with James. He was helpful and about as courteous as they come. I went in the store expecting to hear some excuse and I would have to buy new box springs. Instead, James was able to replace my horrible box springs with a metal frame. He took all the time needed and again was very customer oriented. I was ready to decide ( before talking with anyone) I would never shop at that store again. Again, much to my surprise, they listened to me and responded in a way that was superb! What a wonderful experience when spending money on something that is not a show and tell item! Then, when "Mike" and "Link' delivered the mattress, they were equally delightful and helped me in anyway they could. I just can't say enough about the good experience I had with them.
