Effective but not very relaxing. Easy to book an appointment and they are good with responding if there are any changes. Parking in the area is a bit tough so plan ahead. Each room is divided by paper walls/dividers so you can hear the next room therapist or client speaking. It can feel distracting. It gets a bit warm in the rooms and the sheets are not very soft. The massage therapist was effective at getting all the knots and putting the right amount of pressure. But there was no conversation about what areas to focus on etc. She got in the room and started the massage. There is also only one bathroom for clients so you might have to wait. Bring cash for tip.

I have been going here for about a year and I will not go anywhere else. Leo is my go to massage therapist! I cannot say enough good things about him. I always go for a deep tissue 90 min. Leo is always consistent and the pressure of the massage is perfect, never hurts you (like some massages in the past). I always feel like a new person when I leave. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Wanted to get foot massage/reflexology at location in Ballston Quarter/Refresh massage but ended up here after making appointment online. Massage went well but was reminded I should have made appointment at Ballston Quarter location. Hadn't been to either location for a few years and it may be a few years before I go back.

This is the best massage place in town. It's clear each therapist goes through extensive training. They are always consistent no matter which therapist you get. With little to no information given at the start of the session, they are able to hone in exactly where the problem spots are, just by feeling around. The deep tissue massages are great - they are not shy about really digging in there! Best service coupled with the best price in town makes this place an easy go-to for our massages.

I liked Judy for a strong massage & cupping. It was a total of $85 cash. I parked on the street and it's free for a Sunday. They mention parking in a garage for $1 although I have no clue, which is their garage affiliation. There was construction when I went so look behind the wood sheet panels.

Just discovered this local gem! I happen to live close by and I was really sore from work and they were able to take me last minute. I was SO glad to have discovered this place! If you like deep tissue massage and Thai massage techniques they can totally do that for you! I did a 60 minute massage with cupping and I left feeling like a new person. Such a good price and the therapist and the woman at the front were so sweet! This place is so worth it I cannot recommend it enough!

I live in the area and have walked by many times so I decided to finally give it a shot. My massage therapist was great and even periodically made sure her pressure was to my liking. I got the Swedish massage and would love to try a deep tissue next time. The atmosphere was also nice with a well decorated lobby and a relaxing, dim room with relaxing music. I will definitely be back, I had a great experience.

Great masseuse, great massage, and great service. Judy was really good in putting just the right amount of pressure without making me sore and was very thorough.. They also were very accommodating in me changing my appointment 5 minutes before my appointment. They are very reasonably priced so be generous with your tip.

Sensational experience! My lady surprised me with a group-on full body massage with options, this was my first time at BTM and definitely won’t be my last! Betty, my masseuse was fabulous.... she used the perfect pressure all over and when she thought it was too much, she paused and waited for me to answer as I was in total euphoria 🤗!!! This was by far the best massage I’ve ever received, if service continues this way, you’ve got a customer for life!!!!!!!!! The front desk girl was very thorough and explained everything in detail prior to my massage, I even asked her once done, how do we tip (no pressure). Keep up the great work! 😀

Update: Hours after leaving the review below, the manager contacted me and offered us a free couples massage and explained that many of their customers only want a back massage rather than full-body but also said they should be asking everyone rather than assuming. We appreciated the quick and thoughtful customer service. Today, 1/17, we went back and had two new massage therapists - Rose and Karen- and again, they were excellent. The whole experience was extremely relaxing for both of us so much so that we bought a package and plan to come back for individual massages and more couples massages as well. My wife and I scheduled a 60-min couple's massage with a body scrub addition on 1/1/2021. Our massage therapists- Amy and Coco- were quite good. We were really happy with the work they did. We were just really disappointed in the work they DIDN'T do. Upon entering the room, the receptionist told us that we could take our masks off while on our stomach if we wanted but that when we turned over to our backs, we'd need to put them back on. No problem - sounds good. We were thoroughly enjoying our massages when we were told we were done. The therapists had never had us turn over. No massage of our thighs, chest, face, or the front of our shoulders - essentially we were given half of a massage. When we came back out, we asked about this and the receptionist indicated that it was probably because of COVID-19. But this is the same receptionist that told us to make sure we had our masks on when we turned over during the massage. It didn't add up and quite frankly was really frustrating. I recently injured my knee and was really looking forward to some relief around my knee in particular. My wife looked at the website after we left and nowhere did it indicate that massages would be back only. Based on the quality of the massage, I would return, but based on not getting what we thought we were paying for and being given a really vague and somewhat untruthful reason for not getting a full massage, I don't think we'll be back.

This is the first time I went there on the First of July, Wednesday afternoon. Employees are friendly. The bathroom is cleaned. The private room is cleaned and a nice modern style. Music is calm, soft, and smooth sound. Lady massage did over my body however she is a very fantastic deep skill, oh my gosh! I will be coming back here again. Im glad to be here! You should come to them as well.

Good massages for the price. Our therapists were 15 mins late but the lady at the front desk said we could get aromatherapy for free. I appreciated the gesture. Therapists didn't check in with pressure so I just let them know my preference. Not too bad overall. I'd come back.

Great place! I had never heard of this place until my boyfriend surprised me with one of their sessions. It’s very easy to find and the inside is very clean and calming. The women who facilitated my service did a phenomenal job and I walked out of there feeling like a new person. There’s also an ATM right next door for tips (since they prefer you tip in cash). Will definitely come back here in the future and will recommend to others.

I had a wonderful experience at this spa. Betty gave me a one-hour deep tissue massage and she was very careful to ask about the level of pressure, where I needed the most work, and was very responsive. The facility was clean, warm and very comfortable. I highly recommend it.

I got immense and immediate benefit from their sports massage. I lift a lot, and Gilbert displayed real anatomical knowledge of where muscles connect, much like a good chiropractor. I was especially impressed when he worked the deep connective muscle in my shoulders, and my IT band. Best I've ever had, will return. I can't speak to the other masseuses, though--my friend did not enjoy his from another masseuse.

You can’t beat the price. Therapists are hit or miss, but the convenience and price are just too great to pass up. I’ve had massages that left me on cloud 9, and massages that left me a little disappointed, but I’ve never left feeling worse than I did when I walked in.

Went for a reflexology massage Dec 2018. The Spa was conveniently located in ballston with lots of metered parking close by. I checked in and was taken to a private room with very dim lights and calm music. reflexology is limited to the feet and calves, using pressure points on the feet to impact different parts of body. It is performed clothed with your feet bare and your pant legs rolled up to your knees. Amy did a great job, started on time, obviously was very skilled and worked the full hour. Great experience, was worried it would take place in a large room with curtains separating the clients-that was not the case. Reflexology took place in a very relaxing private room; will definitely book again!

This is a great place to get a massage! They always do a great job, its clean, I don't feel rushed and the hours are great. Moreover, the prices are very reasonable, especially if you become a member which is free. The only downside is that sometimes it can be a little noisy with traffic, but I'm so relaxed, it doesnt matter. I would highly recommend Susie if you can get on her schedule. She is excellent. I would go to her each time if I could. I live in cystal city and go all the ball to Ballston for the massage--worth it!

Very clean place, efficient and skilled therapists. All Chinese, I believe. Some have good English. Their sales on massages are great! I get bundles of certificates to use throughout the year. Best parking is at Ballston Mall, even if it's under construction. Street parking is usually available.

Always excellent, i have been with most of the staff and they have all been great. Elaine is my favorite as she is a very strong and exceptionally talented masseuse who can find the knots and tension without being told, and really get into them and work them out with great skill. Highly recommended.

Great price with the monthly deal. The receptionist was pleasant and the therapist was great. They are at street level so once or twice during the hour there was minimal street noise, but it didn't detract from the relaxing environment.

Yea, it's a good spot for getting a massage in the area. Best part is you can request the same "expert." I think its a fallacy to mix holistic Chinese massage styles with the certified massage world of the west (also great!). Tui na would give one the feeling of meat tenderization, or it could also just be relaxing. The important thing to remember here is to speak-up about the pressure, tension/focus areas and other details when prompted. You dont walk into a hair salon and just have a random stylist, just go with the flow right? Same thought process here. It feels great to come in here a day after a muscle wrenching, punishing gym session. My expert has the knowledge of Qigong, and can pinpoint pressure/knotted areas by first touch. I tell her what spots and amount of pressure, she takes care of the rest. It feels like cool down from intense resistance training, sleep or dinner then sleep comes soon after and I feel great the next day.

They do actual ashiatsu (back walking) and Yo-Yo was wonderful and great at doing deep tissue massage. They have the bar hanging from the ceiling for the maseusse to hang on to while they walk on your back. One best massages I've ever had. I will definitely return if I'm in the area.
