Matt and Joanna made us feel very comfortable during our entire couples massage. It was a great experience for both of us and we would definitely go again. Their prices are very reasonable for what you get out of it and the studio is very clean and well kept. You can tell that they know what they are doing and it isn't just a rub down, they are feeling your muscles and customizing the massage specifically to you. We wish we lived closer and could visit more often. We will definitely make the trip again in the future. Anchor Wellness is at the top of our list for recommended massage therapy!

Couldn't recommend Anchor Wellness enough. The business space is clean, modern, and relaxing. Matt and Joey couldn't be friendlier, and are genuinely interested in helping you in the ways you need help. They were courteous, and took the time to explain what they were doing. My wife and I both received the best, most relaxing couples massages we've ever had. Please do yourself a favor and give these guys a try!

We did a couples massage and were blown away. This husband/wife couple are fantastic and professional in every way. The location in Portland is convenient, the office simple but nice and clean. Nice music and techniques. We have had many massages in the past. Both of us agree this is the best we have ever had. Well done. Highly recommended!! Also, they have a buy 5 get one free program.

My boyfriend and I went in for a couples massage (it was the first massage for both of us) and we couldn't be happier! We decided to try it out after we found them on Groupon and read only great reviews. Joey and Matt were welcoming from the second we walked in! We were both very pleased and will be back again for sure. They make sure to ask you specific questions so the massage is really designed how you want it to be.

Massage was amazing. My husband and I really enjoyed our couples massage. The only thing that I was not fond of is they are located near a traffic light so we could hear any loud car that went by. We went on a Sunday afternoon so it was a little busy outside. I would try again but maybe during a week day..

Anchor wellness is a gem! I’ve been going here for a year for musculoskeletal issues. Their massage therapy services are outstanding and reasonably priced. Joanne and Matt are husband and wife massage therapists with a background in wellness and yoga and an excellent knowledge of anatomy. They provide a personalized, professional, caring service in a clean, comfortable space. Highly recommended. Booking online with reminders are also helpful.

Joey and Matt are masterful at what they do! My boyfriend and I came in for a couples massage and were walking on Cloud 9 for the rest of the day. The space is gorgeous and tranquil and their technique is skillful. Joey was great at making me feel comfortable before, during, and after the massage. Treat yourself to time with Joey and/or Matt!! You'll thank yourself afterwards!

I have been a client of Joanna’s for years and she is so wonderful! She creates a welcoming atmosphere, listens to my needs, makes suggestions and gives a wonderful massage tailored for me. When they moved to downtown Portland, I was worried about on street parking but it really hasn’t been a hassle at all as there are plenty of options nearby. I definitely recommend Anchor Wellness!

I just left Anchor Wellness after spending 90 of the most relaxing minutes of my life in the skilled hands of Joey and Matt. I had an evening appointment for a couples massage with my mom after a long stressful Monday at work and I ended my day completely forgetting about all the worries I had this morning. They are both so warm and friendly and just fantastic at what they do. All the tension in my neck and shoulders is gone and I think I fell asleep on the table while my feet were being cared for. I hope everyone who's looking for a massage anywhere in southern maine considers them first when picking a massage therapist. I can't wait to go back for my next world class treatment!

We had a couples massage and they accomodated our request to be in different rooms when we booked the appointment. Matt and Joey were very welcoming when we arrived. I had a great massage with Joey. She focussed on my problem areas while still covering everything with just the right amount of pressure. Afterwards we had a little chat and got some recommendations of Yoga studies places near by. We will coming back, when we are in Portland again.

The best massage I've ever had (and continue to receive) has been at Matthew Baker's hands. We talk about where to focus before the massage. His hands are intuitive and able to find the muscles that need more work. He is respectful. He loves what he does. And he has a great sense of humor. I also love how he gives back to his community. After every 5th massage, the 6th one is free.
