I was lucky enough to get a gift certificate from my spouse late last year. My experience with spas have ranged from money motivated franchises that hound you to purchase an annual membership, to upscale resort spas that charge you based on the ambiance. I'm so glad to have found a spot that fully embraces the spiritual aspect of healing through massage arts! My aromatherapy session was everything my soul needed to recover from an energy draining year. My masseuse Kara was fantastic! She was warm, inviting and had an almost magical touch. Not only did she give me the best massage I've ever had, the products used kept my skin soft for days. I swear my face is still glowing after my theraputic facial. I look forward to making this a monthly gift to myself, discovering more services they offer, and sharing this gift with others. If you choose to do the aromatherapy spa package, I highly recommend adding the Hot Stone Massage. It really helped melt all muscle tension and brought happy tears to my eyes.

Sophie did a great job. I've had many massages in my life and her massage was right up there with the best of them. I will definitely be going back. Only down side is they do book out pretty far so you need to plan ahead, like 1.5-2 months out.

It was very quiet and calm once entering. You take your shoes off at the front then I was led to the basement for a hour and half dep tissue massage. Bethany did an amazing job! She really listened to my problem areas and was able to massage an area that previously I would twitch and pull away once touched. Even a few days after I didn't feel any pain in my back for once. I was very pleasantly surprised and will be returning soon. The only problems were the basement is fairly cold and I'm a pretty cold person as it is. Also I had a gift card that didn't end up saved in their system when i booked online and I didn't bring the physical printed sheet so I couldn't use it.

I had the best massage of my life at Omaha Massage and Healing Arts yesterday! I was happily greeted when I walked in the door by my masseuse, Casey. I loved the vibe and atmosphere, it was soothing and relaxing. Before my massage, Casey and I talked about what issues were bothering me the most and what she would focus on. She left the room as I got undressed to my comfort level and ready my massage. The room was peaceful and the music playing was relaxing. I felt an instant connection with Casey and while normally during a massage, I don't talk...but I am a chatty person, so we had a great conversation and learned a lot of what we have in common. I felt so comfortable and all my tension melted away, especially in my neck and shoulders. My only mistake was not booking a longer session! I will definitely be returning for more regular appointments! I am also very interested in booking a couples massage and possibly a spa day with some girlfriends. This is the perfect place if you want to relax and not worry. I love Omaha Massage and Healing Arts, I feel as their mission statement, morals and ethics align with mine. Another bonus is supporting a women owned business! Thank you Casey for a wonderful massage! Highly highly recommend!!!!

Only have had four massages in my lifetime and the deep tissue massage I got was the best. On the surface, the place may not be boujee, but the rooms are spacious and the massagers were professional.

This was such a memorable experience!! I booked a couple's massage for my boyfriend and I. For being a first-time customer walking into a little gift shop wasn't my first thought but it was awesome. Not only is it at massage parlor but it's also a small gift store... bonus!!! Right away we were greeted and felt very welcomed. We went downstairs where it got even more better. There was a beautiful fountain and the environment was so relaxing & mellow. When we got back to the rooms they made everyone feel comfortable and explained how it works. Kara did my massage and she did awesome. She asked questions throughout to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. It felt so good and highly recommend. . After our massage was done they walked us out and gave us warm tea with a complimentary chocolate.

I received a 60-minute Thai massage. The massage itself was good, and I appreciated the technique of the therapist. However, I was disappointed because I had been experiencing a significant issue that I shared but felt like it was completely ignored by the therapist. I completely understand how having a specific issue would not change how the massage is given, but not even having the issue acknowledged left me feeling like I was just another appointment to get in and out and receive payment from instead of feeling like it was a healing process. Edit in Response to the Owner - Thank you for your response. To clarify, as I stated in my original post I had no issue with the technique or the massage itself. I fully understand that it is a whole body approach and having a specific issue would not change the technique. However, I feel it is necessary to be able to express what I am experiencing and have some level of acknowledgement back if it is to be a healing experience, regardless of the type of modality being used. I hope this helps to clarify my original review.

I have been to Downtown Omaha Massage several times. I'm not a "regular" but they are my go to place. First of all the atmosphere is amazing. They are located in the Old Market in the basement of the Omaha Healing Arts Center. The building itself begins to set the stage with it's brick walls and imperfect features. The atmosphere that they have created is so relaxing and beautiful. I hate to say that it is "Zen" and risk sounding cheesy, but honestly that is the perfect word to describe it. I feel relaxed from the moment I set foot in the building. As you make your way down the stairs it gets even better. They are always extremely polite and make it known that they are there for you. Their massage therapists are extremely talented. I have never had a bad experience there. I went in last night for a relaxing massage but also mentioned that I had a sore neck and shoulders from working out. Sophie did an amazing job. She listened to me and helped workout my aches without causing any pain. I highly recommend Downtown Omaha Massage!

OMG! When I say amazing I totally mean it from the bottom of my ❤️. The lymphatic drainage massage was life changing. I feel the difference and the swelling in my legs and ankles has totally decreased. I made an appointment for next month!!!

I always see Catherine for deep tissue. She's amazing at getting all the knots out of my back and shoulders. It's a lovely, quiet, relaxing facility and I love that I can book online so there's no phone/text messaging that has to happen. The one issue that I have is having to take my shoes off at the bottom of the stairs. I find it ridiculous.

This place has ruined all other massages for me. They are that good! I will happily drive from Des Moines, Ia to Omaha just to get a massage. Absolutely the best place to relax. We visited for the first time in July of 2016 and returned two times since just to have massages. We always get the Hot Stone Couples Massage from Julia and Haley. The atmosphere is wonderful. Soft music, essential oils diffusing, relaxing water noises. Normally we tend to giggle and talk during massages; however, we don't talk at all during these because we were so relaxed. We plan to book again soon!
