I had an hour long massage with Calvin and it was amazing. Mind blown. I feel like I gained inches of space between my shoulders and ears after he worked out so much muscle tension I had there. I feel like so much better, like years of tension and old emotional energy has been released. I'm laughing at myself now because after it was done and I was walking out, he asked me how it went and I accidentally shouted, "It was transformational" at him (instead of just saying I liked it in a normal speaking voice like a normal person) because I was still in such shock and awe about the whole thing. He didn't even flinch, bless his heart, and proceeded to tell me how to take care of myself afterwards and invite me back for future sessions. Calvin is a gem. Highly recommend!

They have a large enough well-trained staff that you can seek out specific individuals for different types of massage, depending on your preferences. The facility is clean and comfortable. I've never felt pressured to purchase products, which I appreciate. I feel really fortunate to have discovered it!

Best prenatal massage I have EVER had. Not afraid to use some deeper pressure for my aching back. I went in with the start of a cold and left being able to breathe again. Such an affordable place for a mama with 3 kiddos. Loved the atmosphere, friendly front desk, and the talk therapy during my massage therapy! Thank you Julia!

I called on a whim when I was super tense and in need of a next day massage. It was my lucky day as Rachel had an opening. I prefer deep tissue massage and was lucky to learn that was her specialty. I t was a wonderful 90 minutes! I quickly booked 6 more months of massages with her in the coming months. Location is great for anyone near Hiawatha and Lake Nokomis area residents. After getting tension headaches from stress, i decided to call the Wellness Center based on all the positive reviews. I was able to get an appointment for the very next day. When I arrived, I was a little unsure because the outside was very unassuming and in a neighborhood that was a little out of the way. I've since realized that's a good thing or everyone would go. The receptionists (both the one on the phone and the one who checked me in) were super professional and friendly. Jeffery, who gave me my massage, was wonderful. I can't offer enough praise. Before we began he sat me down to discuss my needs and what I was hoping to get out of the massage. He talked me through all of the products they normally used and made sure to continually ask before he began about my comfort levels to make sure he didn't overstep any. The massage was beyond amazing, he really took the time to focus on my neck and jaws, the source of my headaches and continually checked in to make sure I wasn't in any pain. He even went one step further after I was done to wait for me outside with a glass of water and made sure to explain any aftercare I might need. While a massage isn't something I can regularly afford, I'm defintiely glad I spent my money here and would gladly come back more often if I could.

I've seen 6-7 different therapists at the Wellness Center over many years, and found them all super pleasant and reliable. I'd brag about my favorite, but then she'd be even more booked ;) The desk staff is friendly and eager to please. The 1 subpar out of 50 massages I've had, they made it up with a free one! Classy place in a quiet neighborhood.

In short: Very nice and capable people. I have so far gone there for massage only, but will try other services at some time. When you walk in, you are already greeted by a warm smile. Often you can call the same day and still get a massage appointment. The two therapists who have worked on my constantly tight muscles are very knowledgeable and have a good sense for how much pressure they can use before causing discomfort (they still ask regularly if the pressure is good, and I recommend you give them an honest answer for your benefit). My first visit there was because of one of the minor muscles on my back that had suddenly become painfully tight and would not loosen up after a week of stretching and relaxing. I had even gone to a spa for a massage - big mistake since they tend to be trained in relaxation massage, not therapeutic massage! But at the Wellness Center, the therapist found the bad muscle with ease and worked it all out. Already at the end of the appointment, everything felt a lot better and more relaxed, the pain was eased significantly and distributed into a bigger area which made moving (and healing) a lot easier. The next day I was good as new again. I keep coming back because in my work I am bound to get tight muscles, especially around the neck and shoulder causing headaches, and they can definitely take care of that. I have yet to run into a person there who was not honestly friendly. Their prices are fair (in my opinion), and as a frequent visitor you can save some money by becoming a member - which I will probably do the next time I'm there. Highly recommendable - both getting a massage in general and getting one here.

I have had two great experiences with The Wellness Center. 6-7 years ago I purchased my brother a gift certificate for the float tank and to this day he still talks about how cool of a present that was! I also recently returned for a visit myself and was able to use their new infrared sauna. As someone who enjoys a good sweat this was very relax and rejuvenating for me. I really enjoyed the ability to set the lighting to the color of my choice. I found the room to be clean, they provided hot towels afterwords with a cool mint touch added. All around I was very pleased. I will return again and continue to refer friends & family to their business.

I was shown where to go and what to do before my session began. The float tank was amazing and I recommend everyone try it. Great service and lots of beautiful smiles. Thank you again.

While you can’t go wrong with any of the therapists there, I must say that June is my favorite! She intently listens to why you came there see her and tailors each visit to focus on making sure you feel better than when you came in. She truly has a passion for her work and is talented at what she does. Go see her, the world will be a happier place!

First started coming here to use their float tank, which is amazing. However, shortly after that I was rear-ended and started using their massage services as they work with auto claims. I generally try and stick with the same therapist, but due to scheduling conflict and what not, I have had to use A couple different therapists here and there. Everyone that has put their hands on my back has been incredible, I often fall asleep during the massage, and never feel like that hour-long session is short. Though, I could could definitely keep going…

Even though I was sad they took longer to open after the executive orders were lifted for the industry, I have faith they did that to ensure their employees and customers are as safe as they possibly can be! The Owner of the Wellness Center recently sent out an email with information about their reopening and the Covid Protocols they are taking. I absolutely appreciate that they try to keep everyone safe especially when physical distancing is hard to follow in this type of business. A couple of items that were listed in this email just somehow did not sit well with me. Apparently, there is going to be an additional $10 charge for the expenses incurred to be safer for Covid. This amount seems excessive considering this is extra $10 on every client they have. Also, they will not be providing complimentary water from the water dispenser. Bottled water will be available for purchase. Wow! The email didn’t state how much they’re charging for a bottled water but this just seems like they want to find any little reason to make extra cash. As much as I really like my therapist, Michael and I have been going to him for a few years now. He’s really wonderful! At this point, I don’t know if I will be returning given their business conduct and mentality.

I went to the Wellness Center last week for back pain and had a massage with Mariah. It was great. The center is very calm and a relaxing environment, and the massage itself really helped work the knot that I had so I was far more mobile when I left. Float Review: If you're used to going to Spalon Montage, you won't find that here. However, the staff was very friendly and it was a good experience overall! You have the basement to yourself when you do a float, but as soon as you get out of the tank and go into the adjoining bathroom, the employee comes down to run the filtration on the tank. While I appreciate that they do this right away and I know it has been cleaned, I didn't feel comfortable being in the adjoining bathroom without a locking door in between us. The ear plugs were great, the tank was great, although handsome towels wadded up at the front of it? The bath towels could use to be a little softer/nicer. You shower before and after your float, but unless you pay close attention, you only get one towel (the other one is hidden under a bench) . One more thing about towels - they were spread all over the floor. Once again, I appreciate the sentiment of not having someone slip, I think there are bath mats out there that would be a little more classy, absorbant and still dry somewhat between sessions.
