They just raised their prices on many massages by $10. Currently they are having a BOGO sale on gift cards - buy one for about $110 and get one free, but that offer is only for non-members. The offer for members is buy two for about $80 each and get another $80 free, but do the math: non-members only spend a total of about $110 and get a free total of about $110 while their loyal members have to spend a total of about $160 and only get a free total of about $80. I think that's totally unfair. Also, referring to the Park Terrace Drive location in Columbia, SC, they have the absolute cheapest bathroom tissue in the restrooms and the bathroom tissue holders in both of them have been broken for months. I keep on pointing attention to address that issue but it only fails on deaf ears. They are usually fully booked and you have to make appointments days ahead. On the good side, I like my massage therapist and need to go in once a week so I make sure that I schedule my appointments months ahead of time. I also like the fact that I can accumulate points towards upgrades, free massages, etc. by simply booking ahead of time either at the front desk or online and doing other things that don't cost extra money.

First time at this Facility. Greeted when we came in and lobby looked nice. Chairs were low and uncomfortable, however we were only there for 10 minutes or so. Went to our room for the massage and once you pass through the lobby to get to the back there was this overwhelming smell like you were at the back of a Japanese steak house. Horrible smell and no better once you were in the room. I asked the employee about it and they said that they get the vents from the restaurants in that shopping block. Why there's not any aromatherapy of any sort blew my mind. Massages were phenomenal but we won't go back because of the location.

I went to this location today for a facial and was not the best facial. I had Sam and she was very nice but I expect for these appointments to be a time for me to relax- she was very chatty the entire appointment and makes it very hard to just relax and enjoy. She was very gentle with her extractions but I don’t feel as though so extracted as much/as well as I had been hoping. She grabbed me 3 minutes late for my appointment, started officially working on my face 9 minutes after scheduled appointment, and was done with 10 minutes left in the hour….. how is that a 60 minute facial or close? I hold a monthly membership with hand and stone and I left pretty disappointed. I enjoy coming here and like the environment provided but I need it to always be a great experience and not so wish washy for the price they ask.

Facility is clean and inviting in the lobby. Rooms are clean as well. Staff seem professional and always thanked for coming by and answered any questions about their services. My own massage was alright. Certainly not the best or the worst but could have been better. I opted to get the add-on of the feet wrap and scrub ($10 add-on)as well and that was priced correctly. I did get this massage with an introductory offer of 59.95 and I think for that price, the massage was priced accordingly. However, their normal price of 89.95 I do not think it would be worth in with my experience. The other item that did not sit well with me either is that the total time spent out of an hour massage actually massaging was only 45 minutes (hit the timer on my phone at start and stop and watched the clock). I do realize that the hour is to include dressing and consultation time but there is no reason to need 15 minutes for that total. This is why I think the $60 price is perfectly acceptable for the massage I received. I will say that my wife did also go at the same time and she had a very good experience overall and said she would go back once again. Overall, I personally think that my therapist was perhaps not a good fit for me and if I do come back again I will be sure to update my review accordingly.

Got the couples massage with my girlfriend. I feel like the price was slightly high but not outrages. The service was great though. Our therapists were very responsive to comments and preferences. Before I felt very tense, after I was shocked at how loose and freed up I felt. Worth the go. Just get a massage already.

Amazing! I was only in town for a visit, but they had super cheap introductory prices. My massage was $60 for one hour and Chelsea was really good. She paid special attention to my problem area which I really appreciated. She was also very knowledge when I asked her about specific issues I was having and she gave advice about how to deal with those problem areas. 100% satisfied!

Niki & Emily did an amazing job! I asked Niki for more of a relaxing massage dude to me having high stress and I don’t do well deep tissue. Niki also suggest some aromatherapy to help me relax and it was a great suggestion! Emily did my facial and suggested some great products to help me with the redness in my skin. We had some great laughs and also had me so relaxed I think I let out a little snore! I would highly recommend these two ladies for a relaxing experience! Thank you again!

I had a couple's massage. My massage was great but my fiance didn't love his. Reason for 3 stars is for them not being clear or up front about the price at all. There is nowhere online to find pricing for a couple's massage so I asked when I called to book my appointment and was told the "introductory price is $69". I ended up having to reschedule my appointment and asked again about price when I called. I was told that it "looks like" we're eligible for the introductory price. However, when I was checking out yesterday, it was $30 more PER PERSON that I didn't realize until after I'd paid and received the receipt. I used a gift card as part of the payment and when she was telling me the total, I thought she meant it was the total for the whole thing. Turns out it was just the total being charged to my debit card. So yeah, I feel like they acted sketchy about their pricing all along, and got $60 more out of me than I'd anticipated.

Nikki is absolutely the best massage therapist I have ever had. If I mention a troublesome area, she takes extra care to work on that area and goes above and beyond with her expertise. She is personable and friendly and always listens well if I pinpoint a target area prior to the beginning of the service. She always takes her time and I never feel rushed. I feel like her goal is to provide relief when I mention troublesome areas. She is fantastic and I will keep coming back!

I have had many massages up to this point and I can honestly say Anthony gave the best one I have ever had. He pays attention to your preferences and has an excellent knowledge of how the body actually functions. Facility is beautiful and relaxing as well. I will recommend. Only disappointment was that I found a last minute deal online and online booking was "unavailable" so I called and had to pay the normal rate.

Kaye is amazing!!! This was my first ever massage experience and she did everything and more to make my experience a pleasant one. You can tell that she has a true love and passion for the service she provides. She made sure to make me comfortable and after I felt like I had a brand new body!! Nicholas was extremely professional and made my experience enjoyable, I just needed something more aggressive than the deep tissue massage. Michelle is wonderful. Relaxing full body massage. Very friendly front staff.I needed to cancel my membership and they were sweet and helpful letting me know I had an extra massage and an unused gift certificate. I will still use their service. Great facials too! The time length is less than 1 hour which is the only negative. I know it includes change time and set up for next patron, but if paying for an hour, you should get a full hour and set a time frame before the next customer so everyone gets an hour.

I got the tranquility package that was supposed to be an 80 minute massage, 25 minute cold stone facial and 15 minute foot massage (so total of two hours). I looked at the clock when she started and it was 12:37 (My appt was at 12:30 and I arrived at 12:15) and when she ended with everything, the same clock said 2:14 so she shorted me a good 20 minutes of my massage. I would have understand if she had ended it at 2:30 or something but I feel like this happens a good amount (get shorted on the massage time that I paid for). The massages themselves were good but I do expect to get the amount of time I paid for.

The establishment was clean, beautiful, and smelled awesome. I couldn't have asked for better experience, as this was all of our first time getting massages. This was my first visit to Hand and Stone Massage. The service that I received from the time that I was greeted in the reception area to the quality of my actual massage was exceptional! I did not know what to expect from a hot stone massage, but I would recommend that anyone try adding this delightful option to their next session. My therapist's name was Shawn and she was very courteous and made me feel at ease during my treatment. Very convenient location off of Harbison Boulevard right across from Sam's Club. I had a great experience!

I had to cancel my membership yesterday and (gah I can't remember her name) the receptionist didn't give me a hard time AT ALL! The massages and facials are great here and she was nothing but helpful and sweet when I said I wanted to cancel. It took less that 5 minutes. No one tried to talk me into anything. If you're looking for an affordable spa membership, try Hand and Stone! There's no risk and the massages and facials are fantastic! I'm sure I will be back.

I bought my wife the Couples Retreat package as a gift a while back, and we finally got around to using it. Since then, she's gotten pregnant so we had to switch hers to a prenatal massage but Hand & Stone was fine with it. Fantastic massage that lasted right at an hour and really worked out some knots in my back and shoulders. Staff was friendly and professional. Highly recommend.

So, I’ve had a membership with Hand and Stone since February, and it’s always a great visit. Today was different though, I had a PHENOMENAL massage. There is a new young lady named Kay, who who is exceptionally sweet!! I was her last client of the night and I felt like I was the FIRST. I told her I was a hairstylist and told her what I needed and she also made suggestions. She added stretches to my massage!!!! I’ve never had anyone do that and she massaged my hands and did exercises with them as well to prevent carpal tunnels. She had majority of my kinks out within the first 10 mins; the rest of my hour was spent in mere relaxation. Especially when the temple massage came along. Kay, you have a client for life!! Book her, but just leave space for me 🤗

They kept charging me after I cancelled for 2 months and getting ahold of a manager was not easy. They did however give my money back today so that is a plus. They had a couple of great therapists but they moved away and we decided to cancel. I like deep tissue and it was hard finding someone who could do it. A lot of the therapists my husband and I had have what I call baby hands. Lol too soft of a touch to do anything for my muscles. But it sas a good concept. The upcharge services were much to expensive, especially considering other places do the "upgrades" for free. And only getting 45-50 minutes was not good. I paid for an hour, or so I thought. But moving to the area, it was good for a short time til we found a better place:)

Location is great but the spa is beautiful and affordable. Mario was wonderful. He took his time to ensure that I was comfortable and gave me a very relaxing massage. Most times when I request a relaxing massage, I walk out feeling sore for days because the massage therapist had to work through those stress knots that come with day to day life. I am always asked to come back so they can work on me some more; however, I never return because I did not get what I requestes. It was truly a nice treat to visit Hand and Stone in the Harbison area and receive such a relaxing massage. Thank you Hand and Stone, but most of all thank you, Mario. I will definitely be back.

***UPDATE*** I talked to the manager about the situation that i had when i went to go get my massage. she offered me another chance to try them out and i did. this time i got an 80min deep tissue massage. i was phenomenal!! my massage therapist was Brianna (with an I) that girl has some magic hands!! she worked all my muscles from my feet, to my shoulders and even rubbed down my head. i feel like a rejuvenated women! ( i am 6 wks pp) i definitely recommend coming here to get a massage with brianna!! Went for a massage here today and honestly it was best mediocre, no pressure, just pulling of of the arms and legs. And i went in to get a deep tissue massage. My massage was suppose to be at 12pm. But i went back in the room at 1220 and was done at 105pm. I paid for 50 minute massage and didnt even get th.at. I ask the lady doing my massage why we done so quickly she says we give you 10 mins to get dressed. I wish i saved my money and went elsewhere. The rooms were super cold and you have to ask for a warm towel to put on your face to feel relax. Otherwise you'll have a blue light in your face. They can't even turn on the heat in this cold weather .The worse experience of getting a massage and leaving unsatisfied. I don't reccomend this place to others. Save yourself the time and stress and get a massge that actually makes you feel relaxed.

Having had a less than stellar experience with another corporate massage spas… my expectations were somewhat low heading into my appointment at Hand and Stone. Upon check in at my hotel and initially requesting the names of local private spas… it was recommended that I try the Hand and Stone Columbia/Northwest Harbison location. It was one of the BEST spa visits I’ve ever had… ranking high with other experiences including Spa at Grove Park Inn and one of my favorites Spa at Divi Little Bay Resort! For me it all about my comfort level from the moment I set foot in the spa. First impressions go a long way in creating that feeling and on this day… Steven Bross set the tone for what would be a very relaxing time for my daughter and I. His quite tone immediately set us at ease. He was knowledge in the services and treatments offered and assisted us with the check-in paperwork… insuring we were comfortable as we waited on our estheticians. My daughter and I both chose add-ons for our facials and both experiences were fantastic. Hannah and Ameilia both created a calm and relaxing environment. Hannah was very accommodating… from cooling down the bed to her explanations of process and products… it was very relaxing indeed. She made recommendations at the end of my treatment for purchase. Never once did she make me feel that I was obligated to buy said products. From start to finish we had an incredible experience. Even check out was great! Steven again assisted us and when I inquired about the possibility of massages… he quickly found a time-frame the following day that suited our schedule and we booked immediately. This is truly THE PLACE to visit if your goal is to be pampered and feel special all the way through to the end! Trying as I type to figure out when I can visit there again!

The massage was one of the best. Front desk staff was incredibly kind and professional. Staff/space might be new, so you might run into a few firstworld probs (e.g. lights could be more dim in the massage room) but they know how to do their job and make you feel relaxed. Highly recommend.

I highly recommend Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa. The facilities are clean, the reception staff friendly and the esthetician professional and nice. This was my first time there (but I have had many facials in the past) and I will be making this my go-to spa.
