Tammy gave me the most intuitive, productive massage EVER. I came in with loads of tension and stress in my shoulders and neck and she got straight to work releasing it all. She intuitively knew exactly where to go and what my back needed and I walked out of there feeling 3 inches taller, relaxed, and like I’d had 10 years of tension released from my shoulders. She is so kind, professional, and good at what she does. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Wow! I didn't even know a 2-hour massage was a thing! I was SO tight and I cannot believe how relaxing the massage was all while really effective at getting my knots out. Seriously - I'd recommend Tammy Joe to anyone. She is warm and welcoming and is an incredible massage therapist.

Tammy Joe is a lifesaver! Came to her after months of my lower back increasingly growing tighter, such that I had days where I either could not lean over, or had to walk myself back up with my hands afterwards. Not something I need to deal with at 27. Tammy Joe was super nice and very responsive, actually got me in same day. It has been three days since her treatment, and the tightness is almost completely gone, dissipating more and more each day! I was finally able to crack my back for the first time in about 8 months. She was even able to identify that the majority of the problem was actually in my hips, and did really excellent deep tissue work. Highly recommend her, am over the moon with the results, and will absolutely be going back!

I made an appointment with Anchorage Affordable Massage three months ago after reading some of reviews. I went there with a stiff neck, tight shoulders, and a sore back. I requested a deep tissue massage. Tammy Joe constantly communicated during the massage on the amount of pressure that was needed to work out all my muscle issues. She worked each area of concern until she was satisfied with the results. I felt incredibly good when I left there. I just left there a few hours ago, this being my third appointment. Each session has been as good as the one before. Tammy Joe is the best massage therapist I have ever been to. I highly recommended Tammy Joe if you are considering a massage!

Tammy Joe was excellent! Her massage was detailed oriented and I felt great immediately after my first massage with her! I will definitely schedule another massage with her in the near future. This isn't a reguler type of massage, she focuses on specialized techniques to help you feel better. To contacted Tammy to set up an appointment and informed her that I have tension and pressure in my shoulders and neck, so we decide to do a deep tissue massage. People, this was the best deep tissue massage I've ever had!! We would focus on individual spots and slowly work them out and then move on. I never realized how many knots I had!! I have to say that the most amazing thing was the end result! My shoulders were soooo relaxed!!! I don't ever remembering them feeling like this!! I highly recommend Tammy!!!

Tammy Jo is amazing! I went to her to help relieve stress that I carry in my shoulders and my glutes and I could not believe the difference after a 90 minute medical massage session. I was referred to Tammy by a dear friend and I must say I was very impressed and more then happy with the deep tissue massage I received! If you want someone who knows exactly what they are doing Tammy is the therapist to see. Not only did she help release several knots I had built up she even taught me some things about normal body functioning that I was not aware of. I have had numerous surgeries on my knees and have seen several other massage therapist in the past and I must say in this first session alone I feel like I have a lot more range of motion in both knees. She definitely earned herself a returning client and I will be referring all of my friends and family to her. She is just that GOOD!!!

So she started doing some work on my jaw and it was AMAZING. I swear I could feel the tension melting away. My jaw normally has a constant ache and it hasn't given me pain all day! Tammy Joe is by far the best massage therapist I have ever been to. I have had years of issues with my low back and with my right clavicle. All the Drs want to do is cortisone shots and pills. I don’t do that. After 2 sessions my clavicle is almost normal again. It used to protrude out by inches! I am so thankful I found her. And my low back is able to move again freely and not lock up. I would highly recommend her to everyone. If I could fly my kids up for a good massage from her I would!

Amazing. I've seen Tammy twice and she's managed to help me progress with some very specific arm and shoulder issues that have plagued me for almost ten years. I've never had a massage therapist that has put so much energy, physical and otherwise, into my care. If you're a musician in particular, I think you'll find that Tammy will really be able to help you with the weird, highly specific pains that we find ourselves with. I could also play with more freedom right after a session on my arms and I've never had that happen after a massage, ever. She also takes teacher insurance!

I just had my best massage ever. I am a laborer and do a lot of muscle aching jobs. I started getting massages about 5 years ago and have had about 100 over the years. The massage that Tammy Joe did was far and away the best one. She will work the soreness out with the pressure that is desirable for you, she is always in communication with you on how the pressure is to your comfort level. She is very skilled and experienced at what she does. The other therapists would work on the "knots" but not get them removed all the way. Tammy Joe will work on them until they are gone. If you want the BEST deep tissue massage out there this is the place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tammy Jo is a great MT with fantastic technique! She can pinpoint the source of my knots and spasms, and then works them out really well. After a session with her, my back mobility improves notably and I sleep much better. I've tried several MTs in Anchorage and Tammy Jo is by far the best!

I have been going to Anchorage Affordable Massage for several years: Tammy Jo is a gifted massage therapist who will find the pain in your body and spend whatever time is needed to massage it out. I had low back pain for four years that was only superficially helped by yoga, chiropractic, or other massage therapists. Enter Tammy Jo: during our first full body massage she felt my hips and glutes and told me that they were bunched up and did I want to concentrate on those areas to possibly relieve low back pain. Thank goodness I said yes! After one massage I was at 50% relief and after three massages I was at 100% relief of my low back pain. Now I make it a point to get a two hour massage (an hour per hip) once a month. That will usually allow me to go for around three weeks without low back pain. Tammy Jo is a godsend. If you have stubborn muscle-related pain, get yourself to Tammy Jo at Anchorage Affordable Massage ASAP.

Tammy Joe called me back right away on a Saturday morning. Then she fit me into her schedule that night because I was in pain. I was really appreciative. She's very receptive to feedback and asks you often if the pressure is ok. She's good at finding trigger points/myofacial release and great for therapeutic massage. It's hard to find a massage therapist in Anchorage who is good at pain relief and I was so happy she gave me some much needed pain relief after a tough physical therapy session the day before. And my shoulders are always hurting from my desk job, she helped with that too. Just remember it's important to speak up and communicate with massage therapists when having things like trigger point massages or they won't know where you're hurting, it's very different from a swedish massage. I saw that Tammy has other types of massage as well including like Swedish massage and you can request that as well.

I was having lower back pain due to a fall (I slid down a mountain!) and going to the chiropractor wasn't doing anything for me. So I scheduled a deep tissue massage. She is very professional, talked me through what she was going to do. I entered with back pain and left with no pain. 10/10 would recommend.

The absolute best medical therapeutic massage I have had! At first, I was a little taken back by the initial ambiance that was offered, but that quickly changed. As she got to work, I knew she was a well trained massage/medical therapist. The frills became obsolete as I knew that finally someone knew what to do for me. I have suffered from symptoms due to TMJ problems, neck and shoulder pain with bad headaches. That night, I could eat, chew, talk without biting the insides of one of the sides of my lips, or cheeks. WOW! And, no headache that night or next day or now. I slept great and had a great day at work. I had breakfast and lunch and still did not bite my mouth. She did have a comfortable room with calming music. Her price is the most reasonable of anyone that I called around Anchorage. Highly recommend her and I can't wait to go back.
