My car wouldn't start with my key fob. The dispatcher said his man would be here within 30-40 minutes. He was. Leon was cheerful, helpful, and efficient. When I found that I didn't have jumper cables (his was a truck not equipped for auto repair/help), he spotted a neighbor and asked if they had some. The neighbor had a charging unit, which we attached to my car. It didn't solve the problem, but I felt that we had done everything we could without a certified mechanic. Thanks, Leon.

Sunday night I went to start my car and my key wouldn't fit in the ignition, nor turn it properly. Someone had clearly tried to steal it and messed up the ignition, but thankfully weren't successful taking it. I called Monday morning and Locksmith Monkey came later that day. Fixed it up no problem in 15 minutes or so. Seems fairly priced to me for an on demand, day of service like this. I highly recommend using them!

We were locked out of our truck and had lost the only key. Locksmith Monkey to the rescue! I called around to get quotes and this company was the ONLY company who would give me a price ahead of time. I really appreciated that and so immediately went with them. I also liked that the phone was answered by the person who came to help us out, rather than a phone service. He came out that night, even though it was late. Was able to unlock our truck and make a new key with no trouble. A big weight off our shoulders as we were stressing about this all day. The guys from Locksmith Monkey arrived on time and were very friendly and polite. They asked early in the call if it was an emergency which I thought was nice. It turned out the only key the sellers provided didn't even work on 2 of the locks, and one lock was a different brand than the others. They let me know before starting the rekeying that this would make it take longer and cost a little bit more, and they provided some options like replacing the locks with keyless entry. I appreciated how transparent they were about the whole process and that they didn't push any up sales. Eventually I'd like to replace all my locks so I don't have to carry so many keys, haha. I'll definitely be trusting that to Locksmith Monkey when the time comes.

HIGHLY recommend contacting Monkey Key if you need a smart key replacement. When I called the dealership about having my car key replaced, they told me I would have to have my car towed in and wait for shipping to/from Jersey to reprogram a new key and it would have been over twice as much to get done, compared to what I paid Monkey Key. I was able to quickly get an appointment with Monkey Key to come to my car and replace my key more efficiently, more conveniently, and at a much better rate, than the dealership I chatted with prior. I highly recommend working with Barack, especially. He was really quick to get me set up with a new key and was friendly and easy to work with. He got inside the locked car easily within minutes, and was able reprogram an entirely new key for my car, all in under an hour. I am very impressed and very pleased with the whole service. In myreview I would like to say that I understand when things don't go the way they're planned, however I do wish people would inform you when they have screwed up. I had my key break into my ignition of my car. I got in contact with this company, and they were willing to show up very late at night which I'm thankful for. They didn't show up at the agreed-upon time but again it was late at night so I was indifferent to this. The technician that started working on my car to begin with seems a little odd and creepy, but I don't hold that against him. He painstakingly tried to fish the key out for 30mind, until another man came out of there van. The gentleman that came out of the van said I could go back into my house, and to let me know when the car is done. 2 hours later, they told me they were unable to do the car but they'll be back tomorrow after their first two jobs. There locksmith contacted me and apologized for what happened. Poor guy had a family issue come up. But he made sure to make it right and got my car all squared away. I highly recommend them, because even though the situation was pretty bad they made sure they do their best and gave it their all.

I would recommend Locksmith Monkey as long as you understand they will not give a guaranteed quote over the phone. It's a price range. You need to ask them for their price range when you call. They charge a fixed base fee to come out and take a look at the lock and a separate fee to unlock. The fee to unlock is what varies. My final price for a deadbolt including base fee was $90. This felt reasonable considering I called at around 11:00 pm, they came all the way from Portland, and arrived earlier than what they told me. The best part of my experience with this company was Steven Nelson. His customer service deserves a full five stars without a doubt. He did an amazing job. The job was trickier than expected and he went above and beyond to help me out. He was easy going and professional which I appreciated.

After having a poor experience of waiting an hour and then an hour of no luck we were about to give up. Then Locksmith Monkey came to the rescue!! He showed up less than 5 minutes after hanging the phone up and was able to open our door in 30 seconds. A literal angel. The other locksmith wanted to drill our door and replace the whole nob! I’m blown away by how easy and efficient the work was for locksmith monkey. 10/10 will only recommend them.

I called Locksmith Monkey after work this evening around 7 PM to inquire about having locks changed on two doors of my home, not thinking they would be able to come out the same night to complete the work, since it wasn't an emergency. They told me on the phone locks would start at $25 per lock and go up from there depending on the type of lock, (which they'd have to see in person to quote me), so I expected the price to be around $100 or more since I had 4 different lock pieces to change. They said they could have someone at my house within an hour or so, and only a few minutes later I received a call from the technician that he was on the way. They were super friendly, very helpful and informative. The tech even took the time to explain the different locks to me and how they each work, and demonstrated that they only used brand new equipment and cut brand new keys each time, unlike some other companies who reuse people's old ones inner locks and keys. About 6:20pm on a Wednesday night, I urgently needed a locksmith to replace my apartment door lock. Saw their good reviews online and called. They answered the phone right away (a good sign), and assured me they could come to me in about an hour. The quote I received over the phone included their service fee for coming out ($25) and an estimate for the lock (starting at about $25, I think). A locksmith arrived in about an hour (another good sign!). Unfortunately, the dispatcher didn't include in the estimate their labor cost ($30), so I was very surprised that the total was so much higher than I expected. I mentioned my surprise to the technician, the dispatcher's brother (it's a family business, which I love). The reason I'm giving them 5 stars is because they were so reliable, punctual, and because the technician waved the labor fee because it was evident that I was honestly surprised and dismayed that it wasn't mentioned when I called and asked for an estimate. Very friendly, as well. You can't beat old fashioned great customer service! That's what will keep people like me coming back (and referring them to my friends)!

I lost the key to my hitch lock. I called a couple places, they asked if I could bring it in and they would cut it off. Can’t bring it in; it’s a hitch lock on a trailer. I can’t tow it because it has the hitch lock on it! Called Locksmith Monkey. They asked me to take photo of lock and an address. After viewing the photos they gave me a quote and time they could be there. They arrived within 5 minutes of the quoted time. I thought they would just cut or grind the lock off like the other companies planned. But no, the locksmith used tools to pick the lock and within 5 minutes the lock was off. I was stranded in the middle of a delivery. I called as soon as I found out what the issue was. I knew for sure my ignition was busted. I was told it would be an hour when someone would be there for me. I was in the middle of a work shift and very far from home, but I was glad I at least had that much. I was contacted an hour and half later by the guy that was supposed to have been there, calling me his friend and apologizing for being late, that he would be there in another 45 minutes. I was already getting cold. I was hungry, my manager was not pleased. Another hour passes and he calls me again saying it would be another 20 minutes. Another hour passes and finally he contacts me saying he's nearby. He was two streets down and couldn't figure out how to get to me to save his life. He took a look at it and confirmed that indeed my ignition was busted. He said it would be an hour to fix. At least his timing was good on that. However, he only ghetto rigged it so that it would work and informed me I would need an entirely new ignition. He charged me the full price of $300 he quoted to me when he started and got mad at me that I didn't have payment on hand to give to him. Apparently, their service is so primitive they have no way to bill you other than taking payment at the point of contact and don't even verify that you have it when they begin. They took advantage of me in a bad situation and didn't even actually fix the problem. I'm grateful that my car is at least workable for the time being, but I can't believe I was charged as much as I was for the time it took to get to me and the incomplete fix. Also, don't call me "My friend". Seriously, I don't know you. Edited: was offered a 50 dollar refund for a better review. Was hoping for a 100 dollar refund and would have given 5 star but this is what we settled in.

I emailed yesterday 6/21 to have them help me install a new door knob with keypad for the mental health office I work in (as well as copy some keys to a different door) I tried to do the installation myself and found halfway through I didn't have the necessary tools to remove the existing lock. I sent photos as requested and he told me "You're trying to install a residential lock on a commercial door," but he would come by the next day 6/22 try anyway. I mentioned my hours twice and he asked me if 9-930am. I told him no, said again I could be available at 10am at the earliest but I never heard back from him. This morning around 9am, the owner of my practice was disturbed by the locksmith while she was in a session with a patient by his banging on our front door. He was very short with her and the other staff member we had here this morning, but was able to install the keypad. He then told us to "go to the store" to get the keys copied because he didn't have they kind we needed. We've tried before and we can't get them copied anywhere but a locksmith. He was already gone by the time I got into the office at 945am. He didn't leave an invoice and I had to email him again to have it sent to me so I could pay him. I ended up calling another locksmith service so I could get my keys copied.

I lost the keys to my 2000 Toyota 4 runner and I had called the Toyota dealership and was told that my car took an immobilizer key that would cost 40 dollars in addition I would have to tow my vehicle to the dealership and then the service department would have to program the key and I would need an appt for that. I got a quote for the work, called for a tow, and scheduled the appt and was told it should only take around 30 minutes. After my car arrived at the dealership I got a call from the service dept who said that I was quoted the wrong price and that my car’s ECU (computer) could not be programmed they would need to order a new one and it wouldn’t come until later in the week and it would take several hrs so the bill would be 1,500 plus the cost for the keys themselves!!! I was absolutely furious about being told the wrong price, wrong time and having paid to tow my car there!! I called one locksmith who said they couldn’t help me and then called locksmith monkey...awesome choice!!! He said I can help and I can do it tonight (on Halloween)!! He met me at the dealership and charged me less then half of the cost the dealership quoted for 2 keys. Very friendly and got the job done and my car back to me the same day!! So impressed and will use this company again if needed!!

I lost the only key to my motorcycle (2007 Honda CBR600RR) and after calling all the dealerships and locksmiths in my local area (Lafayette, OR), and not being able to find someone who could come onsite and make a new key, I reached out to Barack at Locksmith Monkey. He surprised me by saying he could come out the next day, but the soonest he could be there was at 10:30pm on a Saturday evening! The weather was going to be great for riding the following day (father’s day) so I jumped at the opportunity. The tech who arrived was quick and professional. He probably took no more than 3 minutes to pop the lock from the time he started. I asked for the rates when I first called and the individual I spoke with quoted me a $65-$135 range. The tech walked up and immediately told me the cost would be $110. If there's so little to consider in determining the charge, I'd much rather the dude who answers the phone just tell me what MY cost will be. I don't care what the range is, I just care what I'm going to pay. If you need to ask a question or two about the locks to give a meaningful response, then do that instead of a lazy answer.

When you are locked out of your house, you don't have a lot of choices. Being told on the phone it was $15 service fee plus $25 for the starting price of the lock and then 30 minutes later when the locksmith gets to your house and says its $25 service fee and $115 for the lock, they have you by the short and curlies. When I called back to the dispatcher to complain, the locksmith said he'd knock it back to $115 if I wrote a good review online. Here's the upside: he got to my house in less than 30 minutes and had the lock open in 10. And that was more important to me than haggling. But it felt pretty lousy to be subject to this "bait and switch" as one other reviewer put it.

Used Locksmith Monkey to rekey a couple of older Toyotas that were still running the original ones. L.M. made short work of the job on both vehicles, cleaned out the locks themselves, made sure everything was working perfectly, and did so with minimal interaction and amazing speed. Great Car Locksmith Service- I lost my keys for my 2008 VW Jetta last night coming out from the office. I called around and Locksmith Monkey was the one could do it so late or at all. To be honest I noticed his new Ktm on his trailer before I realized the van pulling the trailer was a locksmith.
