Great Customer service. (Nothing to do with keys). If you have a problem, they are pretty resourceful in fixing it. Was in the parking lot with engine issues. Forgot to replace the oil cap when I left home and vehicle was smoking badly spewing oil all over the engine! I needed to pull over immediately! I could see where the oil cap had dropped, but it was out of reach. I asked the woman in the key shop if she had a tool that could reach it. Without hesitation she grabbed some wire and within minutes retrieved the oil cap. I forgot her name, but she was a lifesaver. I'm a LYFT driver could not wait hours for AAA to come. Thank-you, for getting me back on the road!!!!

Came last minute and they were super nice, inviting and informative while helping me cut a new key for my car as well as program it. They were extremely professional and quick. The process took about 12-15 minutes and my key works great. Not to forget to mention it was at a surprisingly affordable price. I recommend giving this place a try for all your key needs!

I brought in a switchblade key fob that I had bought on Amazon ($15 key) for my car that was blank and needed to be laser cut. I called the shop and was told that I didn’t need an appointment and that it would be $35 to cut without programming. When I arrived, I met with Richard and he was excellent! My key was done in less than 5 minutes and it worked perfectly! Highly recommend to anyone who wants to avoid overpaying at a dealership or having to pay extra for mobile only locksmiths to make these cuts!

I searched multiple locations for prices and availability to cut my vehicle flip key. Hillsborough Lock and cut had the best rates and they also provided service that was so swift and smooth that I was surprised how fast it was finished. Their prices for key cutting and programing are less than half what the dealer charges and they also beat all of the other local competitors' rates. The service I received was extremely professional and friendly. The owner Cathy even went above and beyond to help me get my key properly positioned in a holder I provided after the key had already been cut. I will DEFINITELY be returning 😁

I called a lot of places and they were charging around 75-100 just to program one fob. I spoke with Richard on the phone and he said they would do it for 35 so I came running down to get it done. When I got there Richard was incredibly nice and knowledgeable and programmed 2 fobs for the price that places were charging for 1, actually less than because it was 70 for 2 and the cheapest else where was 75. I will definitely pass the word this is the place to go for any locksmith need.

I just bought a 2008 car which needed a key fob. I had been to the dealership and was advised I had to bring it back another day and well you can imagine the price. Hillsborough Lock & Key did the key fob and programming in less than 20 minutes. My whole Saturday free! The gentleman are knowledgeable and friendly. Price was surprisingly low. Needed some old locks re-keyed at my place of business and as I called around for quotes everyone else was giving me a basic service charge and a price per lock re-keyed and all were around the same.... Then I requested a quote from Hills Lock & Key and was asked several questions none of the others had asked to gather more information in order to give me an accurate quote. They were out promptly, performed the work quickly and efficiently and the invoice was exactly what they had quoted. I highly recommend these folks.

Prompt, courteous and friendly! Needed our locks changed ASAP and they came out same day! I called at 8am and they had a guy there at 9:30am - before I could even get home! Richard was awesome! I have been using Hillsborough Lock and Key for many years now. They have made keys and car remotes and have rekeyed an entire house for me. Most recent the deadbolt broke on my front door and I was locked out of my house at 4:00pm. I called and they arrived within 20 mins and had me all fixed up. They are always friendly and accommodating. I recommend them to everyone.

Haven't had to deal with a locksmith in a while. I initially tried the one on Nebraska, but they could not duplicate a car key with a chip. They had to call a mobile guy who wanted 80 bucks.... Called Hillsborough lock and key and went over there. Took her 5 minutes and cost me half of what the other guy wanted. Recommending to my friends.

Cathy was able to order my key and schedule my key programming within the week. This is the place to get your key FOB's done. The dealer charges way TOO much. It took less than 10 minutes (we went early) to program our key FOB (we purchased through Amazon) and he made sure all the functions on the remote functioned correctly - HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Hillsborough Lock & Key came out and told me I could fix the locks and make new keys that it be cheaper.
