Best place to go and great prices!. Extremely friendly. I emailed them with a question and they responded pretty quickly!. I had an extra key fob and a duplicate house key made and I was there less than 10 minutes. Very easy location to find. Won't go anywhere else!!

I stopped by the 314 Power Rd. location for a key fob as the Subaru I had just purchased did not have one, key only. The gentleman inside immediately assisted me. He took a Subaru fob with him to the car and proceeded to program the fob. The fob programmed well but the key itself would not start the car and keep it running. After several phone calls to his road tech and 2 programming pc's hooked to the OBD plug he found that Subaru will only allow up to 4 keys programmed to each vehicle and that limit had already been reached. He then pulled out his oldest pc, reset the system and programmed the car for the new key, success. This entire process took some time, but he was not deterred. He was determined not to leave me stranded without a vehicle and for that I am eternally grateful. To top it off he gave me a %20 discount for my inconvenience. I was so impressed with his dedication and perseverance, to be honest, I only regret that I cannot give more than a 5-star review. A Better Locksmith has earned another customer for life. Eternally grateful, Gene.

Steve should change the name of his business to “The Best Locksmith”. They’ve been my locksmith for many years and will be for many more!!! I’m a maintenance technician in Pawtucket responsible for 400 units(high rises). I refer them all the time to other techs, family & friends. The service is excellent. These guys are great! I bent my fob car key and got an estimate somewhere else for $135. I went to ABL im person and they said they could cut me a new key and use the computer chip from the bent key for $50!!!! A great deal to get a new fob key! Friendly, too.

I went here because I was told he was the best, and I was not disappointed. My lock issue was complicated I knew this before going in but rather than him (Rick I think his name was) try and fix it and mess up he explained why this certain type of RV dead bolt lock could not be resolved. This saved me money and time in the long run.

I needed to have my car key replicated. I phoned to many stores. The prices were inexcusably high ($90 - 140). A Better Locksmith in Newport Ave, Pawtucket offered to replicate my car key for just $70! The price was all inclusive (cutting and programming). The service was quick and the owner very polite. I recommend A Better Locksmith without a doubt.

Absolutely excellent experience. We had a latch break and were unable to open one of our doors. We also needed to have our locks re-keyed. Making an appointment was super easy, and the person I spoke to was really helpful. The day of the appointment we worked with Marcellus. He showed up on time, was professional, courteous, and explained things in a way that a layperson could understand. Cannot recommend enough. If I ever need a locksmith again I will definitely be re-using these guys.

Marcel worked twice for me re-keying all doors so we only need one key for all locks. He was punctual, polite, and professional. Even changed a door knob that wasn’t up to his standards. Excellent Service and Professionalism throughout the process of picking out and installing new keypad locks in our office. He was very patient with us through our decision making process. He went the extra step to come back after the initial consultation when we had additional questions. The locks are great and he was in and out with little disruption to our office. I had (2) existing lock-sets on my home which were broken. I called "A Better Locksmith"........they picked up the phone the first time I called, and we arranged for them to come to my home within a day. The locksmith showed up exactly on-time.......hustled and identified the problem. He called his colleague back in the shop and identified the parts he needed. The colleague delivered the parts within about 15 minutes and both lock-sets were taken care of. To me, what was also impressive was he looked at the hardware on the doors and made some adjustments. I was glad for this as it was October with the dark winter coming; thus, his adjustments will stop the cold air. This is my second experience with them and I will be calling them in th future for any locksmith (or automotive FOB/key) work.
