Quality keys better than the auto dealer. Much worth spending the money. Also helped me when I locked my broken keys inside my car when the key fob was not working. We moved in to our new home and used Key Star to replace all our locks and install deadbolts on a couple of doors. They were very friendly, professional, left little mess, and offered reasonable prices. Additionally, we had a pesky lock on one door with a numerical code and to manually use it was very tricky but they were patient in showing us how to unlock it. I would highly recommend them.

Since I lost my car key and was left only with my spare, I needed to get another one synched to my push-to-start car. When I ordered another key (from another company) I was sent the wrong one. The guys at Key Star helped me through this whole process and informed me of what I needed exactly to be sent to me. The whole process of getting the new key took me a solid 2 months, but Key Star was talking with me the entire time telling me that I could come in with the new key and that they would be able to synch it whenever. They guys were extremely respectful, undoubtedly helpful, and in constant communication with me to ensure I had a stress free experience.

I called up Key Star Locksmith to help me install a security solution for my home. The service person was very friendly and professional. During the installation process, he took the time to educate me on the various options available, the pros and cons of each of those options, and explained the costs. He made it easy and allowed me to make my own decisions on which level of security I wanted to go with at each step of the process. There were also some minor problems left behind by the work that the previous tenant had done to the home, and the service person made adjustments right there on the spot to make sure all aspects of the security solution worked correctly.

Straight-shooter. Kind. Great work. I needed to replace the locks at my aunt's house back in Aug 2021. I searched on yelp for a local locksmith. Key Star Locksmith reviews indicated to me that the locksmith would provide a service that was quality, and that the locksmith himself was a good character. This is important to me because I want/need to trust the person who is doing security work on my aunt's home. I need to trust the house is safe when I am not there. I worked with him to purchase a few Yale smart locks. I was familiar with August already because I had bought, and still use, and August smart lock on my home. Yale bought August recently, and you can use the same app to open/close Yale or August locks. He came to my aunts to install 3 Yale smart locks. The job took a few hours. Yale did not have an easy installation process. During that time Deemetrio was incredibly friendly, thorough following the instructions and patient setting up the Smart locks. He is clearly competent. Since Aug, I frequently use the app to open and close the locks when visiting. I would certainly recommend his services for a similar Smart Lock installation.

I came to this locksmith driving from Queens. There’s dishonest locksmiths that overcharge you or make excuses to charge you more. This place was very honest direct and got the job done quickly. After 3 failed attempts at a useless locksmith, i found these guys. They were knowledgeable about my problem with very little information and could do both programming & cloning of keys (i needed a program as i lost a original) and they did it all within 10 minutes. I lost my car's switchblade key fob (the fob + a foldout ignition key). The Volkswagen dealer wanted $300 to replace it. Key Star replaced it for 175 + tax. The gentleman who helped us, from Mexico City, was helpful, extremely knowledgeable, and very friendly. He knew exactly what he was doing and worked efficiently and quickly. When he was finished, he made sure everything functioned before sending us off. He was a pleasure to work with. I have a tendency of only rating restaurants, but Key Star was such a wonderful experience, and saved us so much money, that I felt moved to write this review. Bought a car and turned out the only key I got was the valet key and couldn’t unlock the trunk, glovebox etc. Lexus down the street could not find the code with the VIN to cut the key. These guys took out my trunk lock and custom cut the key. Was a little pricey but I know it took a descent amount of work to get it done. They did a great job. If I need anything again I will come back.

Willie and Dimitri were fantastic. I lost the keys to my Lexus and was looking for a locksmith that could quickly Help me with a new pair of keys. It was over the weekend and they were very responsive. they were able to get to me within hours and able to get me a new key and paired to my car. Upon arriving I immediately was helped by Willie a true professional. He took care of programming my key and providing me with the everything I needed brand new. Within minutes that was taken care of. The second thing Willie did for me is copy and recut a new ignition key for a historic vehicle and reassured me that if I had any issues he would address them. Very nice, professional help! Most Caringly they cut and programmed a transponder remote key for my 2007 Ford Mustang, and were sure to have me test the key and the remote before leaving the store! Definitely 5 + stars for key star locksmith. I got locked out of my house. I called the first locksmith I found on google and asked how much it will cost me to get back in my house. Guy at phone said it will be $15.00 service call + 35 to unlock door which I thought it was a very good deal. Technician came and said it will be $150.00 to drill out lock b/c this lock was not the one they advertise as 35.00 then I was going to pay extra 200.00 dollars for my lock replace b/c I need it to lock door, of course I didn't agree and send the guy back. Then a friend of mine told me about KEY STAR LOCKSMITH and gave them a call. They send the tech right away and in less than five min. He was able to Unlock my door with no damage and charge me very reasonable. Thank you key star I will recommend you to my friends if they need a locksmith service. Beware of those companies who tell you a very cheap price. Too good to be true. Bunch of thieves.

I always get my keys here... I recently lost the keyless fob to a newly leased car. They gave me the exact same key for so much less than the dealer. It worked perfectly. Much less hassle too. the dealer were going to charge me at least $150 more and I would have had to wait for at least an hour also.

I found this company on Facebook APZ. Mind you that I live about 30 miles away. But I wanted to check them out because they gave me a great deal and quality work and I wanted to be sure of that so I drove 30 miles didn’t know what to expect but once I arrive they were able to duplicate my 2010 Infiniti key fob for a fraction of what the dealers charge. The service was provided by Willie. He did a great job and now I have an extra set of keys. I recommend this company to everyone out there that are in range of coming to this establishment.

Great and friendly service! My keys were locked in my car, while at event in Manhasset, a bit away from where I live in the city. When I called I was told they were closed for the night, but they were still able to help. They arrived in less than a half hour and it took less than 2 minutes to unlock the car doors and retrieve my keys. The only issue I had was the price was a bit steep, but for swiftness in response and result, it was worth it!

I had a "Lock Issue" on a Sunday Night at 7pm. While it was not a huge emergency, Key Star Locksmith was available to come immediately. I asked, "what's the earliest you can come on Monday Morning... but please, not earlier than 9am?" The answer? I'll be there at 9am !!! Everything was managed quickly and very well-done from the mechanic's truck or at my door... including a credit card payment (which was fair and reasonable). Great Job Key Star Locksmith!

I was fortunate to find these guys. I passed their shop on Northern Blvd many times so I knew they have been in the area for a long time. Recently, I had an emergency regarding my Volkswagen Passat key. The one I had was suddenly out of commission. The staff was able to cut a new key & reprogram the transponder chip.They went out of their way to accommodate me. The price was less then I expected and the over-all service was terrific! I've known him since 2005 and hes been an amazing respectful person hes done keys back to back from my mini locker lock to the locks of my car. Hes done very good jobs and whenever I need a key hes my go-to person. He put a custom separate lock for my car doors and different for my ignition. He also program dealer keys (some locksmiths dont do that) hes the guy to go to hes worth it and he'll give you what you want.

I use Key Star Locksmith to make all my copies of keys, which they do quickly (10 mins for 9 keys) and well crafted. I also used their services for installing a new lock into my home (Smart Lock). Willie showed up on time, even giving me a five minute warning so that I could get ready for him to come. He worked quick, but with purpose and everything was installed perfectly and was washed as you would expect from a master locksmith. He also made certain that everything worked correctly (including the Smart Lock) before he cleaned up and left. All in all, five star service. Amazing service. In trying to restore my idle ‘95 Moto guzzi motorcycle, I broke the key in my gas tank. Not only did Willy fix me new keys, he came to conclusion that my one “used” key (from the previous owner) wasn’t the original. Went to the shop one day to get a key, but the guy was out on a job. He told me to text him the next time so that he'd be there, and I did just that. He was there right on time afterwards. I told him I needed a key and brought the lock with me, as well as a picture of a key with bitting codes on it. He scoured his workplace to find the correct blank, and tried multiple times to produce the right key with my bitting codes and his own. The attempts failed, and he ended up filing out a key himself from a blank and my photos: a method that ultimately worked. I left (with 2 duplicate keys and my lock) feeling amazing. Great job.

At Key Star..Service Tech..Demetrio, was very efficient, knoledknowled at his craft. I had only one damaged smart key for my 2007 Nissan Murano, one key that had no program.
