I very rarely post reviews, but wanted to take the time out to post this one for Star Lock and Key. After a very stressful day of moving, and an encounter with a moving company who charged me way more than I was originally quoted, Star Lock came out and changed the locks on my new home, and the difference in service was like night and day. The tech was efficient and very nice and friendly. The prices were fair, and there were no hidden fees or prices, unlike what I had just experienced with my movers. Thank you for making a very stressful day just a little bit easier for me.

These guys were super easy to work with and at great price. We were able to get two new keys made at the price it was going to cost for one at the dealership. We had an amazing experience with Star Lock and Key Co. We needed a new faub key for our Rogue. I called around to 3 Nissan Dealerships in the Nola area... The Metairie one wanted $600, and the other two were right around $450. Star Lock and Key did it for $250, so we were able to afford the Toyota camry key we needed as well. It took 3ish days for the keys to come in and less than 10 minutes at the store to get everything set! I can't express how amazing this experience was. Thank you so much!

This place is the best! It's a multi-generational family business with an old school vibe but state of the art skills. I run my car fobs through the washing machine once in a while. Their price to replace them is less than half what my local auto dealership charges - & usually in a few minutes. Can't go wrong with these guys.

Fast friendly service. While getting a replacement key to my car I saw that they had a special lock for my custom made wrought Iron door. I thought they didn't make the lock and ordered a new door. When I saw that this place had what I needed I cancelled my order for the new door and installed the new pop in single cylinder lock. Good to go. And I might add the price for my car key was half of what the car dealer quoted. Check this place out.

I can't say enough positive things about Star. They were available first thing on a Monday, came to our residence soon thereafter, returned not long after that with the necessary parts for repairs on our home locks, and were finished in a timely manner. Bert, the locksmith, was mannerly and competent. It's a great feeling to support local companies and have them make us proud. If you're in Central City, Mid-city, Treme or Bayou St John, they are the ones!

I thought it would be ghetto, lol. But it's similar to any business despite the neighborhood. I went to get one key made for $2. Lowes cost about 25 cents cheaper but coming here and living in Midcity, this place saves me 20 minutes of overall time and a $1 in gas.
