Wanted to say how great Mark was today! Despite being given a wrong address and having to drive another 40 minutes to get to us he was the absolute sweetest! He did a great job fixing our door/lock and was even willing to stay to fix another door we happened to accidentally lock ourselves out of while he was here. We ended up finding the key and all was well, haha! Big thanks to Mark. 12/10 would recommend.

I moved into a 1916 home in West Hartford and 3/4 of the doors in the home either did not line up to close correctly, were missing door hardware (latches, knobs), or had dysfunctional locks. West Hartford Lock spent about 4 hours in my home going from door to door doing everything from checking screws to removing and adjusting latches in the door frame to installing some new modern remote locks I had purchased. They were friendly and knowledgeable of the hardware, especially impressive considering it’s age. They left my home briefly to go to the hardware store to pick up some brass screws to try and maintain the original hardware’s character. There were a few original brass latches that they did not have so they plan on returning to complete those💿They even fixed some of the original locks to work with original keys the previous owners left us - relics! I recommend these guys for anything lock and key related!

Reason for visit: having 3 new locks rekeyed to match Arrived in the late morning and was promptly greeted. Shortly after a gentlman came out to the register to assist me. Quickly checked my locks and keys to see which of the existing keys would be the strongest. He then rekeyed two of the locks to match the third and provided the extra keys. Polite, professional, and high quality service. Would definitely return.

West Hartford Lock is the best! After trying twice to get another locksmith to even set up an appointment, I heard about this outfit from my contractor, who had nothing but high praise for them. He was right; from the call, to the phone inquiry to find out exactly what I needed, to the installation, they got the job done right. Everyone, including Drew, the installer, did a great job getting us rekeyed. I recommend them to anyone with security needs.

This is the place to go if you don't want any hassle with your keys working. Believe me the difference between going to Home Depot or others is VAST. Pay the difference for peace of mind. They've been around for a long time. They repaired an ancient front door lock and found keys for an old dresser. I go to them now exclusively.

Excellent. My 1920s front door lock was falling apart and I came in with a box full of parts for help. Fixed the old lock on the spot in a few minutes (saving me 100s of dollars) and told me how to reinstall it myself. Generous and expert service.
