Got a start up key the same day at my driveway. Dire situation because I had to work the next day. Reasonable price given my desperation. Got a bunch of issues from dealerships over programming, towing the vehicle, but they came to me conveniently. Won't call anybody else for auto keys hands down!

Pat and Don were nothing short of amazing. I came in on a Saturday with a car key that was pretty much shaved down to its core. Couldn’t open my drivers door or the trunk. They got me a working key, and a spare key for $70 dollars.Won’t go anywhere else. 10/10

Fast and professional! My mom locked herself out of her car with two dogs inside of it! While she was waiting through phone prompts with our AAA account, I got right through to a real live person with these guys and someone came out and unlocked her car within 20-25 minutes! So thankful. Hopefully will not need to call them again, but they'll be my first choice.

I locked my keys in my car at my house. After calling roadside assistance with Geico I was left without any help. I was told all companies were unavailable and that I might try contacting my local police dept. that sometimes the police are trained to unlock cars. After several hours I finally found a company who was willing to drive 45 minutes to help me. I was outside their area but they still helped. It was late and dark outside but Ross was friendly and helpful. He was able to open my car quickly. I am thankful they agreed to help. He was professional. The staff I talked to on the phone was kind and helpful. I highly recommend them. I will be using them in the future and will recommend them to all!

Needed a new car key made, after looking up my make and model they suggested that I could just go to the dealer and get it for $100 cheaper than they would be able to do since my key was special. My teen accidentally locked the keys in the car while it was still running. I called A-1 Locksmith Service LLC in Grand Rapids and they quickly took my information. A few minutes later the locksmith called and said he was on his way. Within about 15 minutes he was at our house and had the car unlocked moments later. The price was pretty reasonable and the service was excellent! I hope I won’t be needing a locksmith any time soon, but if ever the case, I will be definitely calling A-1!

Pat was wonderful on the phone and kept me updated on when the locksmith would arrive. When he showed up, he was polite and courteous and seemed like he had no issue getting my car remote programmed. We have an older vehicle that believed it had been stolen. With the fantastic help of Pat and Don we did not have to have the car towed to the dealer. I seriously could not be any happier about my experience with this business today, I was already having a day where anything that could go wrong, did go wrong and then I locked my keys in my car. I was told I would be waiting about 20 minutes or so, but I swear she was there faster than that. When she arrived she was practically a super hero in my eyes because she popped my car open like it was nothing. Thank you so much for helping me out today! Returned to my apartment only to find I had lost my keys somewhere throughout the night. Called A-1 and Desmond arrived within 20 minutes of calling to help! He was professional and not scared of my "attack dog" I had waiting inside. He also has a good sense of humor to lighten the mood. Today is my second encounter with the wonderful people at A1! First was this last summer, my best friend lost her Keys. A1 drove to our location and was able to not only unlock her car but make her new Keys on the spot! They were fast and very reasonably priced! Today I am simply getting a couple Keys made for my 07 Grand Prix! They are wonderful and highly recommend!!

I was locked out of my house on a Sunday afternoon. I called 4 places and all were unwilling to help in a timely fashion. I called A-1, they were there within 30 minutes and i was in my house 5 minutes after that. I would recommend them to anyone in the Grand Rapids area that needs help. After calling 4 other locksmith services in Grand Rapids on a sunday morning locked out of my running car and hearing multiple excuses about why my car was "most likely" un-lockable, I contacted A-1. They had no excuses for me and when I mentioned what the other companies had brought up, they simply stated that they could at least try. I have been very impressed with A-1. Twice I have needed to hire a locksmith to change locks because of area break-ins. The first time was in the evening. I didn't have much hope of finding anyone that could come out quickly, or that would even be open after 5:00. A few phone calls confirmed this. Finally, I came across the number for A-1. I called and not only were they open, but they were able to come out that night and install the new locks. They were very friendly and professional, the work was done well, and I was very pleased. The second time I called A-1 was on a weekend and was also for a lock change. My experience was just as good as the first time. They were open, they were able to come out right away, and they were very professional. I would hire them again without hesitation.

A-1 was the third "24 hour" locksmith I called, and the only one who answered on a Sunday. They were very fast and helpful. Pat took down my information and explained to me what would have to be done to replace my lost key. When Desmond, the locksmith, got there the snow was so bad that he had to park nearly two blocks away. Even after walking through the snow he was super pleasant, and fixed my problem really quickly. I would definitely recommend A-1 for anyone's lock and key problems.

The locksmith (Desmond) was at our new house to change out all of the locks within twenty minutes from the time I called A-1 this Saturday. From the very beginning the front door's deadbolt proved to be FAR more challenging than either of us had anticipated, but he kept plugging away at it and was able to have it changed out along with the four other locks on the house. He admitted to never seeing a deadbolt quite like the one that proved so challenging, but in the end he did an excellent job finding a solution--even if it meant calling for locksmith "backup" at 5:30 on a Saturday afternoon. Toward the end I was a bit concerned that the deadbolt troubles would have significantly raised the final bill, but I was happily surprised at the reasonable charge at the end. Desmond was a great guy to work with, and I would gladly recommend him and A-1 to anyone.

I recently locked my keys in my car in a store parking lot. It was at night time, but A-1 was very quick to respond, and had my car open in less than 2 minutes. Very friendly too! I will definitely use them again.

My car key unfortunately will not open my car, so when I locked my car on accident 30 min before work I was stressed out. I called around to other locksmiths, one place said they'd be here in 8 hrs or so, at that point I would just have to call off of work! A-1 popped up in google so I called they answered promptly and took care of me. Desmond made it out to my house in 20 min and it took him 30 sec to open my car. Very professional and nice, I will always use and recommend A-1 as the best locksmith in town! Thanks Desmond!

Desmond and Pat were great to work with. We needed a padlock cut from a shed. They gave me an accurate quote, suggested we might be better off (cheaper) renting a tool. We opted to have Desmond come anyway. He was very nice, quick, and the price was as quoted. We will call A-1 next time we need a locksmith.

I locked myself out of my house and contacted them to pick the lock on my door. Within fifteen minuted -probably closer to ten- someone was at my house and the door was unlocked five minutes later. The locked was saved and the staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing I can't vouch for is the price. It was $80 and I have no clue whether that is good or bad as this was the only company I contacted.

My daughter locked herself out of the house while we were out of town , called A1 and they were at our home in Lowell within 40 minutes to get her in(on a Saturday morning). Only charged 150$ I would of charged more if I was the business. Awesome service! If there were 6 stars they earned it.

I managed to lock the only key to the padlock on our film crew's grip truck the last day of a three week shoot. It was an hour and a half until call time and i had already ruined a pair of bolt cutters and exhausted the rest if my knowledge of locks (none) to no avail. I was at my wit's end and called another locksmith first. They couldnt get to me for another 3 hours. My second call was to A1 Locksmiths. Last fall, I walked away from my table at a bar for about 15 minutes, and returned to find my car keys missing. The bartender explained he'd found them- but had already given them away to some drunkard! After a day or two of calling back the bar and other businesses in the area to no avail, I called around and learned A-1 would be able to make a new key on the spot. They arrived, as promised within 30 min of my initial call, and about 30 min after that had fabricated a new key for my vehicle. The price was very reasonable for their immediate turnaround, if you're ever in a similar bind call that A-1 !

Fast and friendly service BUT the service was overpriced compared to others in town. I was just getting basic key service- cost about $50 more than I expected. I wonder if they overcharge because they are aware its a company paying for it? Regardless, it was fast and the guy was super nice.
