Locked myself out of my safe and I was panicking because my passport is in there and I am leaving on a cruise in 2 days. When I pulled up the guy said he wasn't sure he could get to me today. I explained my situation and he agreed to try to help me. He took the safe in the back and by the time I sat down he had it open. I am so ecstatic!!! They saved my vacation.

This is the only locksmith that I recommend you have a key “cut by code” at. Other locksmiths use aftermarket pins that match their key cutting machines (which allows them to charge you more money both now and in the future) but that aren’t compatible with the original manufacturer in an attempt to lock out the competition or just cut costs and corners but not The Key Shop Inc. Yes, the Key Shop prices are higher for this particular service but time is valuable especially with gas prices. Don’t “go west young man”, stay in Columbia for your locksmith needs.

Charged me for several hours of labor even though they didn't finish the job. After saying they would be back the following day to finish, I called in a friend who had the right tool and he got it done in less than 10 minutes. I'm sure this is a great local spot and probably a good supplier of locks, but too expensive for the inefficient workflow to have them pop my locks in the future. If there's a proper tool for the job, I shouldn't have to pay for a workaround. They should just have the right tool to get the job done.

Open during the pandemic. Outstanding service was recevied when I went in to have two keys cut from blanks that I had purchased. One was an automotive non-transponder key and the other was a glovebox key. I was charged only $4 for each, and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Thanks for staying open to help out and for the great experience!

BEST PRICE IN TOWN! These guys did a great job on cutting a car key, one with a chip that requires special programming, the same key that the dealer quoted over 100 dollars MORE to do. Fast service and genuinely happy to serve you. Way to go key shop. Century old business doing it right, highly recommend.

This place is amazing I work in construction and always need keys and locks for equipment, houses, generators, commercial applications. Not one time in 9 years have they not been to fix my problem or point me in the right direction. Every person on staff is a familiar face. Low or no turnover makes sure that everyone there knows what they are doing. If it involves a lock in any capacity these folks will fix it!!!!!

Should be called in and out key service! Took them less than 30 seconds yo maketo make me a key, I took it took a key kiosk and it wouldn't make me a copy..very polite, friendly staff. We need more businesses like this to stay open and less businesses like Walmart !
