Dave is AWESOME! He is very professional and understanding, easy to work with and very responsive. I called him in the morning to fix a broken key for my '09 Honda Civic and he was able to fit me into his schedule the same day! He worked diligently to fix my problem and used high quality brands to cut and re-program a new key for me. Wonderful experience with Prime. They came highly recommended by Granite Lock who was booked solid for a week. I called and Dave told me he could be out within 20-30 minutes to make a new key on scene for my vehicle. The price was more than reasonable (beats $500 at dealership by more than half!) and he was professional. I could tell this was someone who was trying to get the key correct and synced without any mistakes. I’m really glad I found this company as I know there’s plenty of scams out there in this business. Excellent experience with Prime and Dave. I agree with the other reviewers who gave 5 stars / top marks. Dave came and reinstalled a keyless lock installed by a different locksmith and made everything right at a very reasonable price. Honestly I think Dave undercharged me. I had called a locksmith I had used in the past to install a new keyless lock on my front door and rekey other doors. The other locksmith was more expensive and did what I characterize as shoddy work, especially for what I paid. Prime & Dave are my new go-to locksmith. Very happy. Thanks Dave! George

He called when he was leaving the previous job, and arrived exactly when he said he would. He quickly assessed the problem and rebuilt my ignition lock in about an hour. There is a reason Dave gets a very well-deserved 5 stars ⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐ . He is very organized, skilled, shows up on time, works quickly, and gets the job done perfectly. He installed two new keyless entry locks and changed the code on an old Schlage keyless entry. The new installations involved cutting holes for the deadbolt and cutting into the door. They work smoothly and perfectly. The 2 new installs and changing a code on another cost only $210 (I bought the locks) for his expert labor! He went above and beyond by actually putting screws in to secure the door knob (which wasn't even part of the lock installation). In the past I've used his mobile service to create a new car key to replace a lost one and he also coded a new remote control to lock and unlock the door. He is amazing, honest, and very reasonably priced. No matter what your locksmith needs are, Dave is your guy!

Dave's service was outstanding. I live in the South End of Boston. I was away for a weekend and when I got home at 7pm on Sunday night, neither my husband's nor my key would turn in the lock. My sister-in-law had recommended Dave a while back, and luckily I had his number saved in my phone. He picked up on the second ring (at 7pm! on a Sunday!) and was at my house within 15 minutes. It took him less than 10 minutes to solve the problem and I was back in my house. His rate was beyond reasonable for the prompt, friendly, and effective service he provided. I would give way more than five stars if I could. I’ve been looking for a locksmith that can program a duplicate key for my Honda Civic without breaking the bank. After some rummaging, I finally found Dave. He responded quickly and thoroughly to my inquiry (gave me a quote right away), set up an appointment at a public parking lot, and was on time for said appointment. He had not only a duplicate key ready in minutes, but also a new fob to replace my defective one (yay for having keyless entry again!). I paid much less than I would using other locksmith services. I needed my new house re-keyed and was in a bit of a rush to have it done. Dave was willing to come by after 8pm to take care of it for me and was fantastic. Not knowing, I had originally called a 24 hour locksmith service a few days prior, which turned out to be a scam. Dave knew exactly who they were and what they were doing, and assured me I had made the right decision to send them packing when they told me my locks could not be re-keyed and I would need to replace all of them for a total of $500. Dave had my supposed non-replaceable locks switched out in a matter of minutes! He was honest, fair and efficient. Made my Day! This company is by far the best company, I've ever had to deal with! I lost my Motorcycle key without a trace. I called Prime Locksmith on a Sunday around 11am and Dave was able to travel all the way to my location an hour away from Quincy, Ma. to Rhode Island on the same day without hesitation. Dave came out to my location on time not a minute late and was able to pull off the impossible and cut me a new Motorcycle key. The price was Great the Service was by far the BEST! what a relief now that our locks are changed and know that they were installed by a real locksmith. I was scammed a few months ago by one of the other 24/7 " locksmiths" . First let me start off with the fact that this man was punctual to the minute, he arrived exactly when he said he would, I showed him my bike and started talking to him for a minute, he said he had to run back to his van to get a tool so I waited for a second looking at my bike thinking about riding it, and before I know it he comes back with the key already made! Locked my keys in the garage...called around 10:30pm for a quote ($120 plus $15 late-night surcharge) and he was here within 15 minutes. I don't know what to compare that price to, but I needed help late at night and it came right when I needed it. He took a credit card without whining, which in my experience is rare for vendors around here. Really nice guy, came right when he said, and called when he arrived. I would definitely recommend Prime and I'll be keeping this number for the next time I decide to lock myself out.

I called Prime Locksmith at 6:30 AM on a Saturday desperate as I was locked out of my apartment. Dave quoted me $120, (a lot lower than I've seen on google while researching after the fact) and said he'd be there in about 30 minutes. He arrived on time and promptly got my door open. The lock was having some issues so he also went ahead and replaced the whole doorknob for only $25 extra. He was professional, fast, and nice. I highly recommend.

Prior to losing my key, my backup key had the computer chip break and I was quoted over $200 for a replacement key and told that I would have to go into the mechanics shop to have it replaced and reprogrammed. I was locked out of my house on a cold, snowy Saturday afternoon when my key wouldn't go into the lock. I called Prime Locksmith, who was recommended by the local True Value store. Dave apologized because he had two customers that he was already scheduled to help and wouldn't be able to come out for a couple of hours. He tried to see if another technician was available to come sooner, with no luck. In less than two hours, he called to say he could come out. After trying a few things to get the key to go in without success, he said that the lock needed to be replaced. In less than 10 minutes, I was in my house and had a new lock. Dave Harter (owner) programmed an additional keyfob for my 2017 BMW X3. Do NOT believe ANY youtube videos that claim you can do this. Any year beyond 2012 is impossible . Dave charged $200 LESS than any BMW dealer and less than other locksmiths. It is quite a very involved process that takes at least 2 hours. Dave has all the up-to-date programming equipment. Great experience. Lost my car key, as prime locksmith where making a new key a neighbor came over with my lost key. The young man making the key just made a copy of the old key and charged me way less then my original estimate even though he was already in the process of making me a new key. Needed to get into our storage closet on the balcony that we have not been able to access for a while. Knob and lock were weathered and rusted over time. We verbally received a quote for the visit on the phone and was told less than an hour wait till someone can arrive. Dave (friendly) showed up in less than one hour! He quickly gained us access to the closet. He offered to replace the doorknob for an added (reasonable) fee and did so quickly and efficiently in the same visit. I called Dave on a weekday, after hours around 7:30pm @ night and I got Dave on the phone after the 2nd ring, how cool! I had the pleasure of dealing with Dave after being left out in the rain (literally) when another locksmith decided to never show. Dave could of charged me whatever due to the position I was in but gave me a flat rate upon arrival (lower than other normal rates). After messing with the lock forever I knew it should of cost more, Dave agree'd it should of cost more but also mentioned I should of been told before the work began so I could decide whether I wanted to proceed or not so he was sticking with the original quote. Its hard to find people of specific profession who can be trusted, relied upon and used time and time again...locksmiths being one of them. I saved Dave's number and would suggest him to anyone. *I never leave reviews either, this is probably the 4th review I've ever left online in my life. Dave basically saved my hide from some scammer locksmith so I feel like this review was fully earned.......long story short, save this dude's phone number ahead of time because you'll eventually need it.

I lost the keys to my Honda Civic at the south shore plaza and I called Prime Locksmith to come make a key for me. They were able to decode the lock for my trunk to make a key for the whole car! Only took the locksmith about 20 minutes to complete the whole job! Definitely very impressed and I would recommend them for anyone that needs locksmith service

Was having an issue with the ignition cylinder in my car and it was stuck in a parking lot. We set up an appointment for it to be fixed and was quoted. He was very professional and polite. Arrived in a reasonable amount of time. And even though the job ended up bein abit more than bargained for he stuck by his original quote. Would recommend and will use again if the need arises.

My story is pretty simple. (I'm a locksmith in Seattle,Wa) A few months back I was stranded with a customer's car in the middle of the Snoqualmie mountains and covered by snow. I didn't have who to ask a question regarding the car I was working on (It was my first time facing this electronic problem and I was stuck). After not being able to find help, I found a video on YouTube that had Prime Locksmiths number in the description and I decided to call them and see if they would help.
