I have used these guys before and have had a great experience. Great guys, knowledgeable, fast, inexpensive. The code to the office safe wouldn’t work and we lost the key. I knew where to take it. They quickly were able to get into the safe, fix and reset the code, and make a new key. Great place. I won’t go anywhere else.

My daughter locked her keys in her car while we were in our way home from a camping trip near Cascade. It was a Sunday and we couldn’t reach any of the locksmiths we found online. Finally we called Boise dispatch and they gave us the number for Minute Man. They answered immediately, quoted a very reasonable price, and were there in 20 minutes and had her back in the road shortly after. They were so helpful and courteous. We were in a bind, far from home, and it was a weekend, but Minuteman didn’t take advantage and we are so grateful. Five stars!

Suddenly the doorknob in the door between the house and garage broke and that resulted in the inability of the door to be opened. The latch was broken and I was unable to get the latch out of the opening. So a quick call to Minuteman lock and security and Josh was able to get Greg right over to my home. Greg was great, friendly, professional and quick. He showed me what the problem was and why it happened. Just a warning to everyone out there don’t let your door shut by itself. In less than a minute he had a new latch in and doorknob back on. It was a pretty pricey repair but everything seems expensive these days. I appreciated the quick response and great customer service ! Have already recommended Minuteman to friends.

Chad McNees is the fastest, most efficient and friendliest locksmith around. I locked my keys in my truck while out of town and called AAA to help. Chad arrived super fast, with a smile on his face. He had my vehicle unlocked within 3 minutes, was incredibly pleasant and made me laugh. Great service!

Came in with some luggage racks for a Car my dad bought and was told by several other places they couldn’t make keys for them. Josh got right to work on them and got a set of keys made very quickly. Would highly recommend these guys they’re extremely knowledgeable and professional. They also have super nice custom cutting/serving boards if you’re into that!

My dad had an issue with his back door not opening due to the handle/latch/lock. We weren't sure who to call, so I checked on Google listings and called and talked to Greg at Minuteman Lock & Security. He was able to come over in just a few days, arrived early, fixed my dad's door in about 5 minutes, and my dad was so pleased with his great service and professionalism. We needed key copies made. When I called it was after hours and Josh answered the phone and was very pleasant and helpful. When I arrived the following morning, he remembered me and took great care of my needs. I needed to make a backup key for my car today, so I went to the local locksmith store. The guy was so cool - he had replica war guns on the wall like my grandpa had. I actually have two pieces that he’s been looking for. I told him that I could never sell them, but I’d bring them down sometime to swap stories. My key cost $4.24. And then he said: “you know, I make free sets of keys for kids, if they’d like them.” My kids completely lit up! He connected some up-cycled key chains and uniquely random keys, and gave them each a set to play with. Best $4.24 I’ve ever spent. They’ve been playing ever since ❤️

I was forced to re-key my business after the termination of an employee. They took my call in the afternoon and had a locksmith out early the following morning. The work came to the exact amount they quoted to cut eight new keys and replace the lock. Fast and professional. I would recommend!

I love these guys. They are fast, very inexpensive and very polite. I have been getting keys made here for over 4 years now and I have not had to have any keys remade , the keys have always worked the first time and when I go out to Mt home the last thing I want is to have to turn around and go back to have the keys remade. So I say if you are in need of a key made right the first time stop in and see the guys at minuteman lock and key I recommend them.

I had a door handle on a back door that would not come off. I called here and the guy said to bring it in and he would take a look at it. I took the door off and brought it in. The guy at the front counter came outside to take a look and worked on the handle for about 5-10 minutes before successfully removing the handle. We offered to pay him and he said no need. Fantastic service! I have been going here for a few years now to get new keys cut for new handles I am constantly putting on and I am very satisfied with the service here. Very quick, very cheap, and very friendly. 5 stars!!!

I went in to make some copies of my car key and they were super nice and helpful. I then asked them if they could help me get a key out of my car door and they walked outside, had it out within 5 minutes, and ended up not even charging me for that. These guys were awesome!! I called these guys and they showed up in 15 minutes, cut me a new key on the spot and it worked perfectly. If you need to make copies of keys that are unique (eg unpopular pattern) or old (eg skeleton), Minuteman is the best place in town for that. They have every pattern imaginable. I recently moved into an old home in the North End with only one set of old house keys. The first locksmith I called did not carry the outdated pattern to copy my keys, and recommended I work with Minuteman (a rec from a competitor!). I called Minuteman and sent a picture of my keys to get copied, and within minutes Josh and team confirmed they could do it right away. It took less than 5 mins to get our keys copied, and the service was wonderful from start to finish.

Out of convenience, today I stopped in Home Depot to get an extra key made for a 6 year old lock-set. Was told the key was to an old lock and would need to have it re-keyed. I left and immediately went to Minuteman in Meridian. They made me two keys for the price it would have been for ONE at HD. In and out super fast with exceptional service. This is why we should all be supporting local experts rather than big box stores. Shop local. Think Idaho First!!

I bought an almost new Husky tool box for my new RAM 3500. Great deal but there wasn't a key included. Minute Man took less than 15 minutes to look up and cut me a new key. Cost, $12 for 2 keys! A truly high tech professional lock smith.
