Let's start with Baldwin Lock and Key have always had a fairly good reputation in the Boise area!!! And after I stumbled upon an elderly gentleman having a rough time with one of the other locksmith companies in town. We decided to call Baldwin and give them a try. Let me tell you what a difference it was. We called and Tim answered the phone and after explaining our situation, he arrived fast (it was a freezing night and the elderly gentleman had a broken shoulder) and got this man in his warm car and back on the road in no time!!! Tim represents in my eyes what a true professional is. Timely, respectful, helpful and most importantly courteous!!! Just wanted to take the time to let his company and the public know that we were extremely grateful for his service. He even took the time to text me later (cause I left when he got there), and let me know that the gentleman was safe and taken care of. What great follow up. From now on I am going to only recommend this company to people. Keep up the great job Baldwin, you seem to have a knack for finding good employees. Thanks again Tim!!!

Had a key cut and fob programmed and it was a very simple transaction. Employees where friendly and cheaper than others around town. I saved 20$ coming here. About a week later I came to get a duplicate key made and it was also 20$ cheaper than some of the other shops. Also they don’t make you feel like an idiot here. It’s really nice when people don’t belittle you. Thanks for the positive experience.

The locksmith is a self taught woman very knowledgeable and helpful. The prices are decent for their service. They will replace or fix door locks on autos custom cut keys. Even the most difficult they will research and try their hardest to locate for you. The do auto ignitions and u do not have to remove from doors or cars. They charge $100 a hour for services. Which is reasonable and u don't have to lift a finger. They r in store location and have a truck to come to you too. Easy to find on right off Chiden in Garden City..

I am so impressed by the owner and this company. Baldwin Lock and Key did a superior job - were timely, polite, efficient, respectful, and made sure I could open the doors and turn the keys with ease and all for a fair price. They did not want to leave until I was totally satisfied and all the issues had been addressed. I needed to have my keyed lock repaired as I just could not get the key out of the lock or turn the key without terrible effort and pain. I called Baldwin Lock & Key and the owner returned my call promptly on both my contact numbers and it was almost 6 pm! Other companies I tried would not pick up after 4:45 pm! The owner came exactly at the time he promised. He not only fixed the lock on my one door which had been poorly re-keyed by another company but also made it much, much easier to open the front door by fixing the lock, tightening the wood piece below and putting the handles on in the right direction which had been put on the wrong way by the company who installed the key pad lock and re-keyed the other locks. They were a company that had hundreds of reviews which is why I called them but they overcharged me, were not responsive, and did not do a good job. I suffered opening and closing the doors and turning and pulling the key out and when I asked them to fix it they told me to call a handyman. They knew I had bad arm and wrist injuries and yet they did nothing to stand behind their work and help me.

Fantastic service from new owner! Looking over the other reviews for Baldwin Lock & Key won't do much good since Clint, from A Busy Bee Lock & Key, recently bought the business. For a better idea of service look at the reviews for A Busy Bee and you'll definitely see an overwhelming number of 5 star reviews. I was so impressed with my service from Clint that I posted reviews under both businesses. For those who want/need to save time my other review is copied below: Great! Great! Great! I can only reiterate what all the other 5 star reviews have stated. Service was fast, affordable, accomodating, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I'd give a solid star for performance on each of those traits but 5 stars will have to do. Clint was top notch and has recently bought Baldwin Lock & Key. I'm so happy and pleased with his service that I'm going to post a second review under Baldwin Lock & Key to get the word out. From now on, Clint's my locksmith and I'm going to refer everyone over to him.

I lost the keys to my Yakima rocket box a year ago. I couldn’t get the lock core out with the removal key. I managed to go all winter skiing without accidentally locking it. Like an idiot, I accidentally did lock it today. I came to Baldwin and they had it picked, lock core removed to get the number and two new keys made in less than 20 minutes. It cost less than half of what I thought it would. Super stoked!
