Great service, very professional and good prices. That should be enough but Leon went above and beyond to help an elderly neighbor on a fixed income. He worked to keep the costs down and gave her a discount, in addition to the peace of mind that her lock would work with ease. His mother must be so proud. In a time when the elderly are being taken advantage of so often, The Lock Shop treated her as a VIP Because she was elderly. Bravo and thanks so much Leon. Trust your lock needs to a company that has integrity.

I came in because my key had snapped in two, and it was the closest to home. Glad I did, the younger guy was great, and didn't make me feel bad or stupid. The whole exchange took maybe 10 minutes, with the key cutting taking the older gentleman maybe 3 minutes. I was worried that the car gods were still having their way with me, especially since I had to leave my car where I work off Atrisco. They kept telling me it would work and it did. Thank you guys. The owner is very friendly, and when I lost my key, I was pretty far out of the way. He was willing to come out to me while I was stuck in Madrid, (something most places weren't willing to do) but even provided me the option of just coming to pick up the key. He even walked me through taking the lock out of the door so I could bring it in and get it cut.

Leon was very understanding in my time of panic (lost my key fob), not only did he quote a great price, he also walked me through my options and helped me select the most affordable/safest option for my situation. While he could have easily given me unneeded services (like many of the other lock smiths had more then willing offered) he explained to me that I didn't need to do all that/pay for all that! Amazing. Today our Uhaul was stolen full of stuff :(. Among the most important things were keys to TWO cars and the apartment- so the thieves had theses keys. Friendly, funny, fast, on-time, and professional all at the same time. Gave me a very good deal. I was in no rush but got me an appointment the same day even though he was busy. I have been going to The Lock Shop since 2018 my son lost my keys to my car/house and mail in a big football field. We called them they helped me make a key to my car and open my house door. They were awesome and fast. I had another time where my 2 yr son at the time lost my keys again and they just charged me the same price. Which was awesome cause it was a great price. Today 1-4-21 I called for my fiancee car his wheel was getting stuck and need some work on it and they were busy but they took the time to get out here and help us start his car that has been sitting there since Christmas. Absolutely the quickest and cheapest of the locksmiths I've used. I wish I knew about the Lock Shop before I called pop-a-lock and had a horrible encounter.Ive used the Lock Shop the last 2 times and I won't use anyone else. They keep their word when they say they'll be there. They call you to verify address and they show up on time. I dont give good reviews lightly but these guys definitely deserve the high praise. I lost my keys to my club which is a security device for your steering wheel to deter people from stealing it. Leon worked on that club on my steering wheel of my car and got it off. Buckle down google reviewies, this is going to be a gooood one! Background story: My husband and I have two cars, which we rely on to between school, work. We went on a trip and my husband lost his only cars key somewhere in UT, NM or CA! I had a nightmare week dropping him off and picking him up work from 3-11pm With my toddler in tow! Ugh! Well, I'm an idiot - I didn't have duplicates for my car keys and as fate should have it, I lost them a few days ago. I called several local businesses and was starting to get depressed at the cost of having to replace them - it looked like it was going to be more than the price I paid to have a new ignition installed when my car was broken into a year ago, and as a student with very little money this missing key accident was turning into a nightmare - until I got ahold of Leon at The Lock Shop. The staff here is friendly but it took just over a month to get all the parts and repairs for my car that was broken into. The prices seem fair and the guys there are upfront and honest. However, it seems as though communication is not a strong suit for this business. I dealt with three different people and it seemed that half the time they weren't sure what was going on. I am not sure where they order their parts from but it took a looooong time to get them. I know holidays effected that a little, but I still felt it was a bit much. They do ask you to pay half for your parts up front. Not sure if this is a normal practice but it is something to prepare for.

I called on the weekend for a new key for my car while others were quoting around 300$ or could not do it because their equipment was outdated I started to lose hope. So get this. I locked myself out of my apartment. Yes apartment out of my apartment. It's 830 at night so back-tracking didn't work. Exactly one month ago today, my purse was taken from me at my place of employment just as I was leaving for home. Panic ensued, "they" took my car keys, my house keys, spares for both of these, my wallet, etc. Thankfully, my parents have back-up keys for both and I was able to get home safely. That's when my family and I searched the internet for someone to help me through such an inconvienent time, and we found the Lock Shop. My mother called and someone named Leon answered. He could be there in three hours. Sure enough, Leon came to the rescue, yes to the rescue!!!!! As politely and professional as ever and with a genuine smile on his face, he re-keyed my house for me. I just happened to mention that now I was going to need my car re-keyed and he said he could provide me with this service for less than what the dealership was asking….. I was thrilled, so two days later I drove my car to his friendly shop down in Los Lunas where Joseph proceeded to fix my car......I was very pleased with his service toward me and drove back to Albuquerque feeling like someone really cared about my situation, and was willing to help me and give me a good deal financially. All was well and then one of my home doors was kind of hard to open, so I called Leon and he said he would come the next day to take a look at it. And Leon is true to his word, he was there there the next morning and fixed my problem, again, with a great big smile on his face!!!!! It was then that we were talking and he asked if I would be interested in setting up an automatic key lock system for convienence for my car and I said sure!!!! So Leon then came to my house to install this system and it took about 90 seconds!!! In summary, I had the pleasure of working with Leon on four separate occasions, each time being very pleased. I highly recommend The Lock Shop to everyone and for any need you might have with regard to Locksmiths. I know that he will always be the one person I call the next time I am in a key-jam!!!!! Since our gym is located in a secure building our top priority was finding someone trustworthy, reliable and able to provide this service in a timely manner in order to get our gym open to our employees again. After some research and a lot of calling around I called The Lock Shop. Leon Montoya was very professional and offered several options to fulfill our needs as well as save us money since all costs to maintain the gym are paid for by employees. While Leon was working in the gym, a few employees approached him about keys that had been lost for a few file cabinets as well as a key that was broken off in the lock. Leon also took care of these problems for us even though that was not why he was initially called out to our office building. The Lock Shop will be the ONLY lock shop we call for all our future needs.
