When I called, they quoted me on the phone, confirmed the price breakdown, and told me they'd be here within an hour. Then, a few minutes later, they called me to let me know they'd be about 15 minutes. Honestly, I probably wouldn't have even noticed or minded but I think this speaks to the care of their service. The technician came, performed multiple jobs quickly and efficiently. You can't ask for more from a locksmith than that.

This was the best phone call I could have made! Had a problem with a Ford key on a used Explorer that I had just bought. He knew what was needed before I even finished my sentence. This company is transparent with pricing and timing. Ameer charged us what he said he was going to charge us before he even got the my home. Last time I used a locksmith from a different company I was quoted $25, then $60 dollars, and then at the end after the job was done they charged me over $100 dollars. Ameer told me how much I was going to be charged and stuck with that price. He was also very kind, understanding, and professional. He also helped me navigate with paperwork to send to my landlord. I appreciate his effort a lot!

This company had helped me on two occasions...yes two. I was fortunate that when I called they were timely and kind. I was so impressed by their genuine attitude towards me as a customer. The first issue I had was being locked out of my garage due to a power outage. I had to deliver food boxes to clients that day and they sent someone out at 6:30 in the morning to help me. The second time I was dropping off Christmas gifts to a shelter and literally locked myself out of my house. I was treated with kindness and the service was super fast. I had an emergency where a friend of mine locked a door my pet sitter didn't have a key to when I was out of state and my dog was trapped in their kennel for several hours before I found out. There is a reason for all the 5 stars. Ameer came to my house the first time and I was having issues but he still made me a copy and didn't charge me a fee or house call. I called him a few weeks later to program my keys and he was on time courteous and hooked it up. I wouldn't trust no one else. He isn't gonna try to charge you for things you don't need or b.s like other lock smiths. He is the only locksmith that I trust and will always refer people to him

My daughter lost her keys. We spent most of the evening on the phone with Roadside assistance to try to figure out what to do. They wanted to tow the vehicle to a dealership and get a key made. I called A&A the next morning and they said it wasn't necessary. They would unlock the car and make two keys onsite without additional cost. We set up a time. They arrived a half hour before the appointment, called to let me know, and when we arrived, everything was completed within an hour. Excellent service that surpassed my expectations. I could not have been happier with the service I received from A&A! I had driven an hour to Albuquerque after calling another lock shop who said they could cut and program the keys. When I arrived at the other shop they told me they could not do it and to “ come back another day”. That is when I called A&A. Ameer said he could meet me in an hour and get the keys cut and programmed. A met me, was so professional, and had both keys cut and programmed within a matter of minutes!!!! So thankful for Ameer!! We called today to have a new key made for one of our cars and they were great right from the start! They arrived quickly and when I mentioned I would love to have a key made and programmed for my other car since I already had the key fob, they gave me a great deal to do that as well! He even went the extra mile by testing my battery for free, (which is in a hard to reach area in the middle of the car) to see how it was reading, after I mentioned it has been acting a bit weird lately. Upon inspection he told me the ignition lock was perfectly fine and it’s something more internal I needed a mechanic for. He didn’t charge me anything at all which was wonderful. Its the end of the day, just finished my closing routine and the last thing I always do is make sure the work building is secure and locked up. Extraordinary and Beyond Expectations **Please take time to read this review** On a Friday I had lost my keys in Rio Rancho, I did not realize they were missing until the following day, Saturday evening. This was a serious problem for me because I did not live in Rio Rancho but 3 hours north in Taos, and also because the key goes to a 2013 F150 so it was a remote start key fob that could have now been in someone else's hands. I called the dealership I purchased the truck from, they were quoting me a minimum of $350-$400 just to cut and program a new key but they needed the truck onsite. I called around to probably over 20 locksmiths, not just in Rio Rancho but in Albuquerque also. Almost all of them did not have in stock the remote start fob and would have to order them. Others were stating it would have to wait until they are in the office on Monday to see if they had it in stock, and the remaining stated they did not have the fob but could come onsite and just make a chip key which would allow me to drive my truck. The cheapest of these quotes to make the chip key, not the key with the fob was a lot higher than A and A, NOT INCLUDING THE AFTER HOURS FEE which we were told would put us in the $300 range minimum. When I called A and A Lock and Key, he stated he not only had the 4 button remote start key in stock but also the 3 button fob that did not have the remote start. He said he would be available on Sunday at 5pm, will come onsite, cut and program the key, NO AFTER HOURS FEE. The cost of coming onsite, cutting and programming a key was $280. By far the cheapest quote I had received and I needed to be back Sunday night; so for him to be available on a Sunday without after hours fee was exceptional and such a relief. He was punctual, had a professional van, and began work immediately. Asked me many questions so as to make sure he got all info needed. I had my truck re-keyed in the past due to a break in, he stated that wouldn't be an issue. He erased all other key fobs, the one that was lost so no one could take the truck. He programmed a new key and fob and also included a chip key without a fob that would just drive the truck! We discovered that this truck had to have 2 programmed key fobs otherwise it would attempt to program the keys each time we started or drove the truck until 2 were in the system. He cut and programmed another key fob for this truck included in the price, stating "I just want to make sure you will not run into issues when you go home to Taos, everything should be done here and now." He waiting there while I tried all 3 keys, took my truck for a test drive with all 3 keys, and he even went through all locks and my tailgate again before he left. He even made a key on sight for my friends vehicle while I was test driving my truck because they only had one key. Absolutely exceptional service, had every key needed in stock not only for me but for my friend (without them calling in advance). The owner, Ameer Mandlilawi, was our technician and could not have been more professional, punctual, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make sure my needs and my friends needs were met. I cannot believe what all he did on a Sunday evening and still had the best attitude and personality. This company is hands down, the one I will go to, the one I will recommend if another situation ever arises. I will even be sure to wait if needed just to use his services again. If anyone gets a response from a locksmith stating something bad about A and A it is completely false. Use your own judgement and look at their reviews. Wow, this family business were my angels tonight. These folks went out of their way to help me be safe. I had my purse stolen from my Walmart basket - keys, wallet, phone. These folks were the only ones to answer my desperate calls to all the 24 hr locksmiths in town. This is the best company in Abq to get your locks done, no matter what the problem is! Ameer came when I first bought my house a year ago and rekey the entire house to fit one key, and made it a new key so I know there's no people running around with keys to my house. Great price, friendly and fast! Today the deadbolt of my front door broke on the inside when I unlocked it, and I either couldn't get it to relock or I couldn't get the key out when it locked. I went back and forth messing with it. I took it apart and could tell it was something on the inside that was loose and worn out, so I was about to just buy a new entire deadbolt and just replace the guts so I could still use the same key. I didn't know if it would be compatible or not, and with my luck it wouldn't be. I called Ameer to check, and he stopped by my house on the way to another call within 10 minutes!!. Rather than try and sell me an entire deadbolt, he just figured out the problem and knew it was just the piece on the inside that I needed to replace. Quick, painless and fair. The hard truth is, I lock myself out of my car on a fairly regular basis. And yeah, I have extra copies of the keys, but sometimes I lock those in, too. So I used to have a slimjim and (on my old car) I just learned to unlock myself. The result of which was that I irreparably damaged the driver door locking mechanism; and the day I had to start getting in and out through the passenger side is the day I sold that car. When I got a new ride I promised myself if (when) it happened again, I'd call a locksmith. So. You know how, when you need a service you never had before, you ask your friends/colleagues who they've dealt with? Yeah. I'm a single woman who always worries about personal safety, so since I knew someone who knew A&A, that's who I called. The first time it happened, Ameer found me crying in the parking lot of Lowe's. (It had been a tough day.) He quickly unlocked my car, let me take a selfie with him, and graciously accepted a box of Reese's Pieces I had in the car and insisted on giving him. He was super professional, friendly, and calm when I was clearly a crazy person. But that's not the end of it (of course). A few months later I called again. Ameer was there within 30 minutes and the car was unlocked in 30 seconds. I wasn't crying this time, but he could not have been nicer. I highly recommend A&A Lock & Key. I received a very reasonable quote from Ameer for re-keying 3 dead bolts at my new residence. Ameer arrived on time and saw I had additional locksets in the house. He offered to re-key them as well for no extra charge. In addition he also re-set my garage door openers to a new code and even replaced a dead battery in 1. I recently purchased a used 2013 Ford F-250. The truck only came with one ignition key that also unlocked the door. In the bed of the truck was a toolbox/extra fuel cell that had no keys to unlock or to add secondary fuel. The driver’s door had a key pad to lock and unlock the doors but that code was unknown. I met up with Ameer and advised him of such to which Ameer stated “no problem, I got this”, or something close to that. Ameer with in minutes had made me a second key for the ignition and programmed the key to work. During the time his equipment was programming the new key he cut to precision, Ameer identitied and cut three new keys for the toolbox and three new keys to unlock the fuel cell. I could not believe it. I was truly amazed by Ameer’s work. Each key was tested and worked flawlessly, all within minutes. Lastly, Ameer used a hand held electronic device that he plugged into my truck and located the code to lock and unlock the doors. I was able to take a picture of the code for later reference. Ameer had done some work for me before on a different vehicle but this by far was the most. This was the best service call I have ever experienced and I cannot thank Ameer with A&A Lock & Key enough for a job well done.

Ameer did his best to program a 2005 Hyundai Sonata remote I'd gotten off eBay. He made an attempt to program it and even purchased additional equipment to try and get the job done a few days later. Unfortunately, the remote was defective (according to him, a common occurrence) and with the new cable was able to put the system into learning mode and verified it by programming my existing remotes. I tried to pay him for his time and effort, but he wasn't having it because he couldn't get the new unit to program. Few folks are this honest and the next time I need a locksmith, I know who I'm calling. You should give him a try and I'm sure you'll get the same service and "can-do" attitude I experienced.
