Reviews of Crystal Clean Laundry
If you are in town and need to get laundry done, this is a good spot. Parking is next door.
Washing: 20lb is $3 (there are 10 machines); 40lb is $6 (there are 10 machines) and 55lb is $9 (2 of them)
Drying: 30lb dryer $0.25 for 6 mins (there are 10 of them); 45lb dryer $0.25 for 4 mins (there are 12 of them).
There is an attendant and she is very helpful. There is also a soap dispenser. Cleanly maintained. They also play soothing instrumental music, while you wait for laundry to get done.
Sadly, this business has permanently closed its doors as of July 4, 2022.
Friendly staff. Clean premises. Plenty of open machines. The only downsides I've found are 1.) how early they close. Last wash starts at 3:30 PM, and they close at 5:00 PM, making it impossible to go during the weekdays when I work. And 2.) she pricey! $3.00/load for a standard load, $6.00/load for bulky items, and $0.25 for four minutes of drying. Overall, it's a convenient location for the west side of Capitol Hill and the Pine Pike Corridor.
It’s a very convenient place, they have a parking lot, just as an advice: right now there are like 1/2 of the washing machines not working, and also for recently vandalism the last wash it’s at 3:30, after that time you cannot use the machines.
Giving this laundromat a four star rating because it seems like the lesser of all other evils (laundromats in the area)
It's a very big laundromat and I've only ever had a problem getting a machine once (and even then I only had to split my one giant load into two mediums). It's usually decently clean. It has a cast of characters for sure, but about as much craziness as any other semi-public place in Cap Hill. I've never had an issue with their change machine not working, and any machines not working are clearly marked.
55lb washer = $8.50
40lb washer = $5.50
20lb washer = $2.75
45lb dryer = ¢25/4minutes
30lb dryer = ¢25/6minutes
Standard laundromat, washers are larger than they appear and could hold 2 loads/baskets of laundry, 6 dollars per wash. Doubled prices probably due to the pandemic. Dryers are very large and could easily dry 3 loads of laundry at once. 25¢ For 3 minutes, I usually dry a load for 30-40 mins. I am fine with paying the prices, I just wish they would extend their hours to 7pm! Lots of us work full time/7 days a week and they are always closed when I get out of work and need to do laundry. Last wash is at 3:30 pm. Never see any “junkies” around like other reviewers claim, just normal folks doing laundry! Attendants are always friendly.
Great little neighborhood spot, always clean, attendant on duty .
If you wanna get in and get out for a reasonable price this is the spot. LGBTQ friendly, plus bonus points for having a little market attached next door, if your anything like me a beer and a shot helps to ease the pain of wash day :)
They are only open 9 to 5pm now after some vandalism late night. The place is clean, the attendant is helpful and they have a variety of machines to suit your laundry and financial needs. Smallest wash starts at $3.00 and takes 25 min. It cost $2.50 for about 20 min of drying witch matches the need of a usual small load. If the change machine is not working you can get change from the attendant or the mini mart next door.
This is a really cool place to do your laundry. The lady who works at the laundromat is super nice and so helpful. There is parking and is conveniently located right next to a store. Be prepared to use coins to operate the washers and dryers. No restrooms as an FYI and note they close at 5pm so plan accordingly. Overall a great experience!
I wish the washers were bigger than 40 lbs ($6.00 a load) and there's no card use, to my knowledge, which is unfortunate, but those are my only complaints.
I love that they have a cash to coin exchange.
Dryers are 25¢ for 4 minutes.
Employees are super nice and helpful. My first time here... I was able to navigate quite easily. It wasn’t too busy, so machines were readily available. They have plenty of outlets, so you can charge your devices while you wait.
Had a little difficulty finding the place, so if you look for the City Market, you’ll find it. And they have a parking lot.
Fantastic service!!! I was on travel and had a lot of laundry but did not want to pay the exorbitant hotel prices for laundry service. I looked up top rated laundromat locations near me in downtown Seattle and found Crystal Clean Laundry. I called them up and spoke with a very friendly women who was very informative and helpful. I drove over and was greeted by the same women who again was so helpful and nice and explained the process to drop off my laundry and have them wash, dry, and fold, and that they would call me when complete. Within two hours I received a call that my clothes were done and ready to be picked up. Outstanding customer service with a warm smile. The price was great and I would have paid almost twice as much for that kind of service and results. Bottom line, don't look any further for an outstanding laundromat that will take care of you.
John
Great coin op laundromat, you do have to get quarters from the market next door. It seems as though the market and the laundromat have a solid deal worked out if they aren't owned by the same people because they have quarters readily available for laundry customers. Solid affordable pricing and fantastic machines 👌. I work constriction and all my heavy and heavily soiled clothes came out smelling fresh!
As far as laundry place is go this place is great it's big they got all kinds of washers and dryers no staff will be hounding you can just wash skivvies and get out of there
Jody is great! We were on a long vacation and the Sheraton didn’t have a guest laundry area. We dropped off our laundry and in 4 hours it was ready. Take the bus, it drops you off ~100 feet from the location and there is another bus stop across the street for the ride back. It’s not the most modern laundromat, but the service and results are excellent.
I don't understand why a laundromat would be carpeted, it is gross (tile is so much easier/hygienic to keep up). It is more expensive than other mats I have used. The washers and dryers i used smelled like they need a cleaning cycle last quarter. I'll find somewhere else next time but am glad they are in business for those who need them
Fantastic for travellers. We dropped off our washing in the morning, then headed out for a day of sightseeing and picked it up in the afternoon. Was beautifully washed and folded. Very happy, good price, cost $20 for a large bag 😁 …
Sitting there now waiting for my laundry. Walked a half mile or so and am not disappointed. There is a quarter fed vending machine with soap and softener, a change machine, and a convenient store next door to provide smaller bills if necessary (just keep in mind its not a bank, so try to come prepared!). Plenty of machines and a bench to sit. It's pretty clean and there is an attendant present also. Nice little laundromat.
Not a bad place to wash clothes. The market next door is a plus. They had at least one third of the machines not working and no restroom or I would have given the place a 5 star review.
The place is farely clean for a coin operated laundry. The machines appear modern too.
Prices 2.75 for a small washer,
5.50 for a medium washer
8.25 for the giant ones.
Total time for 2 good sized tubs was 1.5 hours so not bad really.
Yesterday was my first time at this laundromat; but it definitely won't be my last. Huge 40lb washers & dryers, and smaller 20lb machines for smaller needs. Kept nice & clean by a regular attendant, I have decided to make this one my regular laundromat! 🤣😂 …
Only knocked a star because some of the behavior of people who visit there. There's not really a polite way to say you saw someone cleaning themselves with a newspaper, so... If you can deal with that, easily the best laundromat in the area, all washers and dryer are higher capacity and it's not a struggle to find a machine. It even has it's own free parking lot, major major advantage over other options in the area. Street parking can be nightmarish at times, doing laundry here almost feels like cutting in line because of how easy it is.
Decent place! Everything is simple and clean. All the facilities work and it was a short 10min walk from my hotel on Pine St, which was good. Change machines in the establishment too so don't worry about not having change on you. I would recommend this place to others if you need a quick place to do laundry.
Wish it had a bathroom, but overall clean environment with an attendant. Bring your own detergent as the stuff for sale here is expensive. The big washers are $6 a load. I'm not sure what the standard is nowadays, but it seemed steep to me.
The place had every facility for a convenient laundry:
* soap / softener dispenser (1 USD per 1 usage box)
* changer dispenser
* washing machine (3 USD)
* drying machine (0.25 USD per 6 minutes)
* tables to fold your clothes
There is a market just next to the Laundromat.
Just enough time to walk to Starbucks during the washing machine and get a drink.
Clean space and nice people going there.
Classical music on the background.
Five bucks, an hour and change of your time, and maybe a bite to eat from City Market next door, and your laundry is done and your belly is full.
It's also exquisitely quiet, rare for Seattle, and a good place to read a book. This is laundry-as-Zen. Recommended if your apartment doesn't have an in-unit W/D (you poor soul.)
i was looking for a laundomat in seattle during my holidays in seattle. i was googling laundromats in seattle and found crystal clean laundry. The rating was good and it was not far away from my hotel. I went there at about 10 o'clock in the morning during the week in july. Everything what you need is there: a coin machine, an automat where you can buy detergents (for little money). There are a lot of washers and dryers, i could wash the clothes and they smelled very well :) the lady, who is working there, was also very helpful. If you need a laundromat in seattle, go to Crystal Clean Laundry :)
Ok, if I wasn’t married already, I’d marry Jody. She is sweet, personable, and highly capable in her craft. I have a husband and two boys and after four days in Seattle, I needed laundry done badly. I rolled my luggage full of clothes in, dropped it off, and in four hours, I had freshly laundered and folded clothing ready to go. As a mom on vacation, I cannot stress how fabulous this experience was! To top it off, Jody was a wonderful encounter and I wish her well in all her endeavors. Must use if you’re in Seattle.
Super friendly, decent prices, weekends can be a little crowded. Wish hours were longer but, will need Seattle to fix its crime problem before that can be accomplished.
4 star for free parking, giant over size 3-4 ld capacity washers + matching dryers that actually dry rather quickly. There is almost always a working changer & accepts a 20$ bill . City Mkt next door for snacks or xtra change. No stars for homeless occupying the whole laundromat @ times, I just go out and sit in car to wait. Best times are earlier mornings or wknds.
My washing machine broke and had to go outside to do laundry. I searched online for a nearby laundromat and found Crystal Clean Laundry. The service here is excellent, the price is reasonable, the machines are clean and the attendants are nice.
This is the BEST laundromat in Seattle. Cost effective, efficient machines, and staff who are both incredibly friendly and helpful, ready to answer any questions you may have regarding load size or cost!!
Not entirely sure what what the manager's name is but was super helpful. The store is in a "rough" area but got the job done. Thanks. Good luck.
Large washers and dryers
Bill to Coin change machine
Store right next door
#1: free off street parking, how awesome is that? plus the staff is friendly and helpful. early opening and later closing which totally comes in handy. clean and reasonably priced machines.

Problems due to vandalism mar what is a great little place. Friendly customers and attendants; clean and well equipped.
We used Crystal to wash clothing prior to cruise while in a long Vacation. Clean, safe, dryers worked great. Table to fold.
$2.50 wash. $.25 per 4 minutes dry time. 7am to 10:30pm 7 days a week. Everything was fine when I went here on a Saturday morning.
Great location got food next door chilled an watched Netflix or Hulu til my stuff was done didn't take super long place wasn't packed an felt pretty safe that my stuff wouldn't get stolen if I left to get more food or pop or whatever for any reason
Gets the job done, efficient machines & super friendly staff. Neighborhood essential; adjusted hours due to vandalism..
What you would expect. Good location. Spotty service from machines available. Drop off service advertised but not attended.
A little bit pricey for drop off but the women works here is really nice and sweet. The service is great!
It's a decent place to wash laundry. The staff are really cool!!!
Great place to do laundry! It saddens me to know it won't be here much longer. :~(
Gloomy, dirty carpet, smells vaguely of stale herb... but the machines work well, it's close to the city, and got the job done. Take an uber there. 4 stars for being there when I needed you. 👍 …
Standard laundromat. Free parking. It was pretty busy, but there were enough machines to accommodate everyone.
Is nice laundry, friendly staff. Unfortunately it is closing soon.
Its a laundromat. Every now and again I've chatted with one of the workers there. I haven't had any issues.
Clean and efficient. A little pricey for drying but the machines work. Also offers a paid drop off service.
Wonderful attendant on site. Clean machines and awesome munchies nexr door while you wait.
Good laundromat. Great machines. Some strange people hanging out here. Carpet smells bad.
Very clean. They have parking. Good prices.
Traveling from overseas
Fantastic service
Left our laundry here at 10am and picked it up at 3pm washed, dried and folded
All for $20
Part of the City Market family businesses and they do wash and fold!
Nice places to get something to eat in massages... Bad day for weenie roasts and BBQ
Very average place to go. There is a change machine if you need it but always come with cash
I love this place and when you open a wash and fold account you save a ton of money
Nice, clean and quiet place to clean clothes.
Cool but expensive some timesady hella rude but most of them friendly
The electrical outlets do not work at all. No charging stations.
They let bums in to do wash. Another place my head starts to hurt and rambles with religiously strange abuse.
I like this laundromat but wish there was a little more room to sit.
Loved it. If you're from out of town and need laundry done. Do it here.
Machines work.. Not much more to say. Attracts a lot of weirdos but not the owners fault.
So lovely people and my stuff was clean and dry in no time
Place was clean, machines worked great, and music matched the mood.
This location should really be manned during all business hours. It needs some money and a little elbow grease invested in it
1/2 of the machines are broken. Other than that. ⭐⭐⭐'s
Costs are good + maintained and kept clean well enough.
Travel like me , it’s worth the quick wash!
