In March 2020 I had just moved into the area and was desperate to find a laundromat that was clean and felt safe in the midst of constantly changing COVID protocols. We tried a few different places and then we found Clothes Quarters - we've been coming back here ever since (it's now September 2022). The staff is wonderful; any of these nasty reviews are probably people who expect sunshine to be blown up their bums, and nobody here has time for that. The staff will help you with what you need, but if what you want is a friend then you should be trying a singles bar instead. They know their regulars and greet them, but really we're all there to wash our clothes. Because of my work schedule I have to rely on the drop off "wash and fold" service. Yes, it's more expensive than self-serve... so I budget for it. They take excellent care of everything I've ever dropped off, and that's included numerous blankets and a sleeping bag. I have no doubt that my clothes are handled carefully (I've seen them working on others' clothes when I drop off and pick up). The facilities are clean and well cared for, and not only that it's clear that effort is made to make it a NICE place to be not just a decent place. As others have said, there are laundromats closer to where I live but my wife and I will continue to come here for as long as we live in the area. I highly recommend.

I love coming to this laundromat... it is always so clean and the staff is great. I love to recent addition of the PayRange app so I can use my phone to pay for the washers. I do laundry for a family of 5, so that cuts down on having to find or carry around $30 to $40 in quarters (still gotta use quarters for most of the dryers as of 11/2022).

Great place! I’ve only been to a few laundry mats but this one is the best. There are a lot of machines so there’s rarely a wait. Staff is helpful and very professional. There was once someone who was loitering and making passes at me, a clearly mentally ill individual, and he took care of the session quickly, calmly, and without me having to ask. As a female I greatly appreciate this! I feel safe here and a lot is to be said about that.

Came to Vermont as a travel tech and have been using this laundromat from the start of my contract to the end.Super super clean. there are different size machines for different load sizes and priced accordingly so. The facility and washer and dryers are clean and the atmosphere is nice. There’s tables to sit AND coffee and wifi. There’s even some computers and printers you can use for a tiny fee.Overall it’s just a really really really nice laundromat one of the best ones I’ve used and been to. The owner is sweet and will help you out with any questions you have and always greets you when he sees you. I Highly recommend using this facility.

Whenever mom and I need to wash our large capacity items, comforters, pillows, etc... We always stop here. There are plenty of different size washers and dryers to choose from. It's always clean and the staff always friendly. Prices are good. Machines are clean. Dryers work great. Never over packed with people. We've never had to wait for a machine to be available. All the machines work great. It's close to Costco and the grocery store.

I will always use this washer while I’m down here in Vermont working. Big washers and dryers, different prices depending on the size you choose.

Best laundromat I have been too. It is obviously well cared for. The machines are in immaculate condition. I live many towns away but will come here when in the area for other things because it is such a nice place. The person working there is very kind and even went out of their way to open the door for me when they saw me struggling with my hands full to get in.

Possibly the cleanest laundromat I've ever used. New, clean, very-modern washers and dryers. Feels very safe with security cameras all over and the friendly owner seems to work there in-person while it's open. Okay prices, I've paid less at dirtier places, but you gotta make a choice what's important to you. I have compact laundry machines at home but they're not good for huge loads of heavy towels or king-sized bedding and comforters, so I've got to take those items out to a laundromat with oversized machines. This place has the huge 60 lb+ washers and dryers! It's like $9+ for a that load... but it saves a lot of time too. Definitely recommend.

What a great laundromat! It is always clean, which is wonderful especially during this pandemic. They have a plenty of machines and even seating if you wanted to hang out and drink a coffee while you wait for your laundry to be done. Also the staff is super nice! He always smiles and greets us when we come in to do laundry. Even the prices are great!

This is the nicest laundromat I have ever seen. I am a travel nurse, so I have seen a lot. The place is clean and the machines all work but YA'LL... There is a coffee bar AND computers with a printer (for a fee). If one could call a laundromat upscale, this is the one. Will definitely return.

So glad that I found this place! It's always clean and the owner makes sure to say hello to everyone who walks through the door. The machines are great with multiple wash options to choose from. The 2 dollar dryers always get my clothes dry the first time around. Instead of dreading doing laundry, I now look forward to having a hour to do nothing but read my book and wait for the clothes to be done. ❤👕

I'll say this - I drive past 4 other laundromats to get to Clothes Quarters. Chris keeps the machines and the building in pristine condition. It is extremely rare that a machine is not functioning. The machines always smell clean, not mildewy like I have found at many other laundromats. Very reasonable prices with lots of machines to get a mountain of laundry done quickly.

Good, clean machines. Reasonably priced. Very friendly owner/employee. I have a laundromat walking distance from my house, but still choose to come here. Definitely worth the small drive! Clothes and sheets always come out with that clean fresh smell. The go-to place for laundry! Great place. The gentleman who is always there when I do my laundry (not sure if he the owner or an extremely hard working employee) is very pleasant, helpful, knowledgeable about the different machines. Washers and dryers are fast. Clothes come out very clean. This is not the closest laundromat to me. It is well worth going a few extra miles.

This is probably the nicest, most well-run laundromat I've ever been in. They have a variety of machine sizes that look almost brand new. The entire place is extremely clean. There is a change machine and a vending machine. A variety of detergents and softeners are on sale for reasonable prices along with a few laundry bags. There is a nice lounge area with some computer terminals for use. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the facility. The location is extremely convenient if you are staying at the Motel 6 or Quality Inn in Colchester.

A laundromat that stays true and honest to it's customers. Clean machines, well maintained and I can wash more for less than what I used to pay at other laundromats in the area. At other laundromats,their machines would be dirty, grimy with dog hair inside and out. They would never take the time to even clean the machine at the other laundromats. CLOTHES QUARTERS LAUNDROMAT is THE BEST !!! and I'm very impressed. You should check it for yourself. Thank you Chris for your great service.

I don’t know if the man I met running the location was the owner or not. However, he was by far one of the nicest men I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The facility is extremely clean and well kept. I am not in the habit of placing reviews about a place of it exceeds my standards, and this place is by far the nicest laundry mat I have ever been to. Definitely recommend this location if your looking for a place to do your laundry.

I hate laundromats. I'm going to start with that. They give me anxiety. Usually there are children running around and being loud, everything feels dirty and the air is warm and stagnant. That has not been my experience at Clothes Quarters. I have been three times now and all three times have been consistently pleasant (or at least as pleasant as doing laundry can be). The man I have seen (I assume the owner) is polite and says hello and goodbye to me. He makes his presence known so that if there are any complications or questions, you know who to turn to. It has been quiet. I am a graduate student who works full-time. I try to structure my time so that I can multi-task, and that way when I have "down-time", I don't have to worry about all of my other responsibilities. I have been able to take my readings to the laundromat so that I can study. No one has ever bothered me and no child has ever run through and tripped over my feet or asked to play on my phone. This has happened at other laundromats in the Burlington area. There seems to be an expectation at Clothes Quarters that socializing is fine, but screaming and running around is not. Clothes Quarters is clean! When you walk in, there is no weird or musky smell. There is no lint lying around on the floors or on the folding tables. People throw away their dryer sheets. There isn't weird spills on the seats or floors. Every few minutes, the man attending the laundromat walks through to do basic tidying so the appearance is always neat (such as closing the machine doors when not in use or taking any laundry that may have been accidentally left and putting it where it can be seen easily). Overall, Clothes Quarters has created an atmosphere that I can feel comfortable. I can get in and out fairly quickly and not feel like I have to shower immediately upon arriving home. I am happy that I looked up reviews and gave Clothes Quarters a shot!

I don't usually do reviews but this place blew me away! Definitely the most pleasant laundromat experience in the area by far. Super clean with brand new washers and dryers that are fairly priced. Well-cared for by friendly, welcoming staff who answered all of my questions. Not to mention the lovely waiting area, with plants, tables, vending machines, free wifi, TVs, and a keurig coffee setup. Will be coming back for sure!

This laundromat is very clean, spacious, and affordable. HOWEVER if you advertise that you have a children's play area, you should have one. What they really have it's a reading nook filled with uHaul accessories. Normally I'd bring toys for the kids, but I didn't because I'd read these supposedly great reviews. Furthermore, and biggest for me, I'd read that the staff were really friendly and helpful. That was not my experience. The attendant saw fit to correct my child's behavior (after I already had & he had stopped) which was fine, because he had misbehaved. But the attendant continued to correct him multiple times after both he and I had said okay several times. I finally had to be a bit rude to get him to stop.

I was MORE than impressed, I have driven past this place more times then I can count and never thought of trying it out for my laundry. I'm super glad by chance I gave it a try. Very clean with staff present at all hours. Free WiFi, coffee station, tv, and seating is a plus. They also offer laundering services. The prices for washers and dryers are competitive with all other local laundromats. Would highly recommend!

Very clean place, lots of different sized washers and very quick dryers. I wasn't able to connect to the wi-fi during my visit, but an employee did attempt to fix it for me. Great service! The only thing they lack is a public restroom, but it is stated on the door.

This place challenges the norm by creating a social atmosphere within a laundromat. Who wants to sit in a chair and stare at washers and driers while the time passes? Clothes Quarters has created a clean and welcoming lounge for people to have a coffee, interact with others, and exist comfortably. You could even choose to not do these things, and just be in your own world. There's free Wi-Fi, and even computer stations available for anyone to use for a small fee. There are also a few televisions that air different stations, from the news, to Family Guy. To top it off, the owner kind, and you can tell he enjoys his work. I would say this is, by far, the most interesting laundromat I've ever been to!

Very clean, safe and inviting laundromat with lots of amenities...FREE WiFi, snack machines, TVs, etc. The owner is very warm and friendly. The prices are very reasonable or even cheaper than the dumps around. I will definitely return.

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!!! The attendant is very nice and personable. The machines are very nice top of the line Electrolux. Nice flat screens all over so you pass the time. There is even a child play area that looks so comfy you could take a nap there, just don't it's for children only lol. Plenty of tables and space to eat, surf the Web (free WiFi) or do homework. I looked forward to doing laundry here.

Plenty of laundry machines, and places to sit plus free wifi. Use the bigger machine for drying though as the small one are only on like 2 min cycles for drying things that did not quite finish the first time round.

The only problem here is that multiple TVs play the news at a distractingly high volume, so even with good seating, outlets and WiFi it's nearly impossible to focus on anything without your own headphones to tune it out.
