I recommend this store over all other jewelers. My husband took a 100 year old ring in to get fixed, this past Saturday before Christmas. This ring is be a Christmas present. Although they were not sure if they could do it before Christmas. After finding out it was a heirloom and a special gift, they repaired it on the spot and cleaned it professionally. Visited Joseph Janvier Jewelers today to browse wedding bands for myself & my fiancé for our November 2022 wedding. Upon arrival we were greeted by both Joseph and his employee Donna. Donna was our main point of contact today and she was absolutely amazing. She was very patient with us as we browsed their entire selection. She didn’t try to push us into a sale like these large corporations tend to do. I ended up finding the perfect wedding band to match my engagement ring & my fiancé found his band that we purchased on the spot. We truly appreciate the friendliness and atmosphere this jeweler has to offer. We are beyond thankful for this experience & we will definitely be back in for more pieces!!

This man is amazing. I would never go anywhere eles. He mad my husband and my wedding bands after making my beautiful engagement ring. We don't get up there to see him much but when we do make that 2 and half hour round trip drive it is soooooo worth it. Very down to earth. Makes you feel like family. Nice to still have family own buisness to go to. I would rather have my own personal jewlery not something they push out of all the chain store that everyone has. I purchased so much jewelry from Janvier Jewelers at Christiana Mall and always dealt with Ed and Joe. When Joe left it was not the same. I took my ring in when Joe was in the hospital and the younger brother and wife took over. One prong to the ring broke and needed to be fixed. It cost me close to $400.00. I was shocked. This was a custom ring and they changed the style to my ring. The original prongs were twisted and they changed the style of the ring which was not what I asked. All it needed was to fix one prong. Once Joe opened his own Store in Elsmere near the Fire Company. He is honest and will go out of his way to find what you are looking for. He even helped me to price my mother's jewelry for her estate after she died. He is a person who always wants to please the customer and will go out of his way. I will never go anyplace else for good jewelry or repairs. Especially after Janvier Jewelers at Christian Mall which is not Joe's business changed the style of my custom made ring by Joe and Ed Janvier. Ed and Joe worked with me to design the style of my ring. I believe Ed is retired. However, Joe is #1, who I can always trust. He cares about his customers and is a honest person. You can not go wrong to make your purchases their, have your jewelry repaired, or have him find what you want that may not be there. Keep in mind also he can give you a price of jewelry for an estate. You could never go wrong with Joe. He is not the Janvier Jeweler at Christiana Mall. He is superior, above them.

In fact, I had a specific design for an engagement ring and took the idea to Joe. He came back with a ring that blew me away - far exceeding expectations. Does not matter if u are getting a watch battery, an engagement ring or a repair. Always courteous, explains what u need to know if you are buying a diamond or gemstone item. Just a watch battery today but my husband lost his wedding ring and he replaced it with a very nice one. Competitive pricing with big town quality and small town atmosphere.

Joe listen to me when I described my vision and was able to send me a photo like image of my future ring. I was so excited when I saw it, I got very emotional. Nothing compares to a picture and when my diamond was done, and the wedding band was added, it was more beautiful than I could ever imagine. Very fair with pricing and inventive. We brought two necklaces to be fixed and one ring to be appraised. He suggested the ring to be made into a pendant and earring set at a price which would have been less than the fair market value of the ring itself.
