I have a spectacular 14k gold pocket watch that my late husband bought for me 25 years ago. This watch actually had my initials, 'RA' engraved on the front. This watch stopped working several years and I kind of forgot about it. Recently I bought a beautiful lady's vest and found my pocket watch in the back of a drawer. I took it to McKay Diamonds & Jewelry to inquire about the skill set to clean and provide any needed repairs. Mike was excited to be able to provide all requested services for my lovely little watch. Because of all that's required to clean and repair an antique pocket, Mike had it for quite awhile. That was simply so fine with me. Upon return, for a nominal fee, this watch has never looked more beautiful or kept such accurate time. The latter Mike guarantees for 1 calendar year. I will never take this watch, or any watch, anywhere else but to McKay Jewelry and Diamonds. BRAVO, Mike!!!

Mckay Jeweler's is amazing! I went to see Joe to have a custom wedding band made. My vintage engagement ring can stand alone, but I wanted a wedding band that could complement my ring and it was important that it fit the shape well. Joe took his time getting the right stones, and then carving the band by hand so it fit perfectly. In addition to Joe's beautiful work, Sandra and Joe are two of the kindest most genuine people I've met. If you're looking for a beautiful, unique, quality piece from somewhere you can feel good about supporting, look no further.

Look at the photo. It speaks for itself. If you're just going to read the first couple of sentences, read this; McKay does the best custom jewelry work in the valley. You will not find someone better, or someone nicer to work with. Him and his wife were a pleasure to work with, give fair with pricing, and are experts in their craft. Each of the rings in the photo were handmade by McKay and he worked with me through the process of designing them and got me exactly what me and my wife were looking for. From left to right: 1. Diamond wedding ring that pairs with the engagement ring. 2. My wedding ring 3. My wife's engagement ring. The engagement ring is the most notable piece here, so some more info: I knew that my wife wanted "an opal wedding ring with mother of pearl inlays on the sides". That was the information I gave to McKay, and he began the design process. He immediately drew a couple of sketches to give me an idea of what he was thinking for the ring; all the curves, design, and diamond accents on the sides came from him and it turned out amazing. Within a few days he was able to show me a plastic (maybe it was clay or wax) prototype of the ring to confirm that I liked the design. I did, so we continued. He then began work on the actual ring, and was able to complete the whole custom job very quickly. I'm sorry I can't remember the exact timing, but I do know I came to him with not much time until my planned proposal, and he was able to get a finished ring back to me in time for it. 10/10 5 stars I would never go to any jeweler other than McKay. This review is long overdue, but thank you for the perfect wedding rings.

I wanted to make matching necklaces for my sister and myself from a pair of earrings. Joe and Sandra at McKay helped me make this a reality. The necklaces turned out so beautiful and the artistry of the necklaces could not have be surpassed. At the same time, they reset my original engagement ring into another necklace setting. I do not know where else this could have been done with such excellent craftmanship and reasonable price.

We just celebrated our 28th anniversary and I was concerned for the wear and tear the years had rendered on the ring we'd bought from McKay Jewelers in 1994. Joe did an incredible job rebuilding the crown to look identical to the original, but sturdier and more secure. Immediately, I was treated with kindness, compassion, and professionalism. Joe was honest with me about any concerns he had over the stone and design that I already had from the previous jeweler. He said the rings would be done in 2 weeks - and as I walked out of the shop, I couldn’t believe how simple and enjoyable this experience already was. I had a ring I needed resized & a few appraised. I was certainly nervous to leave the rings with a jeweler I hadn't used before, but they made me feel at ease! We chatted at length about the work that would be done & how they would keep my rings safe, which made me feel great. I was amazed when I picked them up at how sparkly they were with a fresh polish. I ended up needing a little repair on one. The owner threw that in with the original quoted price, which was very nice. He did a wonderful job with it! The parking is a little tough. There is a parking garage close by, and it's $2 for less than 30 minutes which isn't too bad. I have some more work I need done & will definitely be going back to McKay! I highly recommend!

What a great place! The husband and wife owners are super nice and friendly! I took my wedding set and anniversary band in to get resized (gold, up half a size). Thank you so much McKay Diamonds &Jewelry. My engagement ring is platinum and I caught part of it on a drawer and my diamond fell out! It was Saturday night and I thought I'm probably going to have to wait until Monday to get this fixed. I may have to wait until after Christmas. We just got engaged in October and a lot of the family we are going to see on Christmas hasn't even seen my ring and I wanted to show it off. Not only was McKay open on the Sunday before Christmas but their jeweler was available and able to repair my ring in about 15 minutes for a great price. It is kind of off the main path but there is a parking garage right by there and the service is fantastic. When we are ready to get our wedding bands we are definitely going back!

Over 37 years ago I met Bob McKay. He was a friend of my wife's family. For many years I went to his store for Jewelry. Someone I trusted. Bob retired and sold the business to someone who he trusted. Joe had been the person who was doing McKay's repairs and modifications for decades. That couple and their daughter have owned and run McKays for over a decade. Recently required to relocate after being in the same place for over 70 years, They have moved from Main St to Regent St., just north east of where they were. Just north of the downtown Prettybird Restaurant.

Two years ago we found this wonder jewelry store, our daughter had just gotten engaged. She was given a beautiful antique square cut diamond ring that belonged to our son-in-laws grandmother, the band needed a few repairs. Every other jewelry store we had contacted wanted to ship this ring out to have it fixed, she did not feel comfortable shipping this ring anywhere. The store owners at McKay Diamonds and Jewelry repaired it within a few hours while she watched and sized it to fit her perfectly. They also offered to clean my wedding bands free of charge. While we were there I noticed a beautiful diamond and sapphire ring that I loved and told my daughter that someday for a special occasion I would love to have it. Well last week I turned 60 and my husband surprised me with that beautiful ring, the people at McKay Diamond and Jewelry helped him with the surprise. I can not say enough about these people so very friendly and their customer service is the best. Next time we are in Salt Lake we are going there again!

I hadn't heard of McKay Diamonds until looking for places to shop for wedding rings on google. Seeing the high ratings, I decided to swing by and give it a shot. Well, it was definitely worth it! My fiancee had a ring that she really liked but that was very tricky to find. Also, I was on a budget. We went to the store and presented the idea to Joe, the store's owner and jeweler. He was more than willing to do it, and at a price I could afford! To add to that, Joe services his rings for life--free! He also worked with me to get the ring done in time for the day I officially proposed. The ring is absolutely gorgeous--two months into our engagement and my fiancee still can't stop staring at it. Joe is a true professional, and there's a reason he's rated so high. I would strongly suggest before buying a ring anywhere else that you check McKay Diamonds out--if you're like me you'll find better service at a better price!

I just picked up the repaired ring and it was even beyond my expectations. I tried on several rings while I was there and they were so kind even though they knew I wasn’t buying and engagement ring. My fiance is extremely particular about jewelry while I know nothing. When I walked into McKay Diamonds & Jewelry I explained to them that I was looking for a fake or dummy ring to propose with and then give my (at the time) girlfriend the ability to come back and choose exactly what she wanted. When hearing this, the owner told me that I could pick out a real ring I like and then bring it back without penalty to have it customized or swapped out for something totally different. So, knowing that my fiance wanted a Sapphire, I picked out one that I thought was great and then went on my way. After the proposal, she had a whole handful of questions about it. Wanted to know if the setting was 100% custom, what kind of Sapphire was in it, what kind of treatment the stone has gone through, etc so we went back in to talk about it. The owner let us know that the setting was 100% created by him and that the stone itself was not an imitation stone but a Sapphire that was grown in a lab. Because it was grown in the lab it was much more vibrant than many of the fully natural stones that you will come across. After some deliberation, my Fiance made the decision that she would prefer to have a fully natural stone in the ring even if it were to sacrifice some of the beauty of it. The owner let us know that it is something that is totally doable and that he would order a couple stones for her to come back and look at and if she liked one of those he would swap it out for free. The owner was able to get the stones in the very next business day and when we went in to look at them, we found he was able to get a natural Sapphire that was really close to the brilliance of the original one (though a tad bit smaller). In a matter of minutes he put the new stone in the setting and we were on our way free of charge. I can not recommend this shop enough to anyone in the Salt Lake Valley as I feel they went above and beyond to make both me and my Fiance comfortable and happy with the engagement ring. I don't think I will be visiting any other store any time soon.

We were able to set up an appointment immediately and in less than 24 hours, able to resize an engagement ring and purchase the perfect wedding band for my fiancee. There was no pressure for a sale like you feel at most stores and the prices were extremely reasonable. We went to see Joe to have a custom engagement ring made because of the 5 star reviews on google, in addition to a family member's personal recommendation. We went in with just one picture and some other more abstract ideas and Joe was able to make a quick and rough sketch of what he was thinking. We wanted to shop around for different designs and pricing, since we though Joe's quote was too high for a band only (we were providing the diamonds). A few hours later I got a call from Joe with a more exact, and in my opinion, a much more reasonable, quote that was substantially less. Because of the recommendations, quality of his other rings made, and the good, fair price, we decided to have him start working on it. The ring was done quickly and was true to the timeline he proposed: 10 days. The ring turned out truly amazing. Quality is excellent, and the design was beautiful and exactly what was wanted. Joe is a craftsman who really cares about, and is proud of his work. Those qualities really shine through in the final product he produces. He has an excellent eye for detail (checked if our diamonds fluoresced, something other stores didn't bother to check, and was able to spot an impurity another jeweler didn't see), was patient and willing to work with us on designs, and was willing to answer any questions I had about the process, diamonds, rings, or his job. We are proud and appreciative of the ring he made for us, and will talk about it for years and years to come. The only gripe I can think of is the box that came with the ring was not very attractive and broke shortly after being used due to the hinge coming off. I didn't think to ask if they had other options for boxes, though.

I went to another small jeweler in Salt Lake and was extremely disappointed. I was reading reviews online and came across McKay. Best choice I could have made. I was looking for an emerald cut Harry Winston design. They brought in 4 diamonds for me to choose from. I found a great match. They completed the set in less than 2 weeks, it is exactly like the picture (down to every detail), and it was very close to my budget. Joe listened to exactly what I wanted and designed it off of a picture. I was on the fence at times to work with a smaller jeweler and on a custom design. At one point Joe said, "if you decide you don't like it, we will make you another, no big deal." And he would have. But it was exactly like the picture and exactly what I was looking for. Based on my experience with this outstanding couple, I would never go to another chain jewelry store again. They take deep pride in their work and their customers satisfaction, and it shows.

By far the best jeweler I have been to. I needed the rhodium finish on my engagement ring re-done and in my usual procrastinator fashion I only had 3 days to get it done before the wedding. I called the store we normally deal with and even though they promise that all their jewelry is done in house, they had to have the ring for 3 days minimum to get it done??? I called nearly every jeweler in the valley and got the same story. Thankfully I stumbled upon McKay, and when I called, they were so sweet and she said Joe wasn't too busy and could have it done in about an hour. I came in to have a custom white gold wedding band made for my fiancee's unique opal engagement ring because no regular band would fit with the shape. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and he completely understood when I explained that I couldn't afford much and worked with me to find something within my budget that works. He gave me a quote and didn't increase the price even when he had to do a bit more work on it than he thought. The ring looks great and fits together nicely with the engagement ring! He even did the design so that I could take the band back in and add stones to it in the future. I needed to engrave five symbols that I had designed myself on the inside of my fiance's gold wedding band and Joe didn't hesitate to take on the challenge. I drew the symbols on a piece of paper for him to reference. He worked really quickly and was able to deliver the ring much faster than I had anticipated. I was a little nervous that my designs were maybe too complicated, but I was blown away when I picked it up - it was perfect! Went in when I was shopping for an engagement ring for my girlfriend. Spoke to the owners daughter who was very sweet and knowledgeable, then we spoke with Joe and he was also very kind and accommodating. Then Sandra came over and joined the conversation, and this is where things went south. We were in the middle of writing up an order for a custom ring, nd when Sandra heard that my girlfriend was a size 8, she commented on how “chubby” her fingers were. Uh... my girlfriend is 5’11” and thin. Her fingers are a normal size for her stature. Can you imagine her with a size 4 ring finger? She would look ridiculous! Needless to say,, my girlfriends feelings were hurt, and we never went back.

McKay is the best Jewelry shop in SLC hands down (and possibly the world, based on my honestly limited interactions with NYC/Philly Jewelers). It's run by a beautiful and loving family that take pride in their work and even are teaching their son how to respectfully care for and handle the jewelry that comes into their shop (I believe he will be their 3rd or 4th generation). Their prices are fare and they've even over estimated the cost almost every time so as to not surprise me with a higher cost (in fact it always comes in cheaper than they've quoted). They take a lot of care when working on your ring. Our ring for example is a late 30s/ early 40s handmade ring from NYC and the owner immediately knew what it was and how it needed to be handled and treated. He made us feel so good about our ring and our love and story. Just today I went to pick up the wedding band he custom made to fit the heirloom engagement ring and I have to tell you people, it's unbelievable. He made it from scratch to fit custom and it's absolutely gorgeous. I can't recommend McKay enough. They will be our jeweler for years to come, even if we ever end up leaving Utah.

My fiance proposed to me and the next day we were headed to Seattle to see all of our family and friends. My ring was a size 7 and I needed it to be a size 4.5. The jeweler where my fiance got the ring was going to take 2-4 weeks to get it resized and because of the style they tried to discourage me from getting it any smaller than a 5. I read reviews on McKay jewelers and went in first thing. They were able to resize my ring in just a couple hours. Now it fits perfectly and I swear it is even more sparkly than when I first got it. Joe is extremely talented... my ring was very tricky to get down to the right size. Everyone was incredibly friendly. I will be going there for all of my inspections and cleanings.

I lost my wedding ring and my wife took me to McKay's get a replacement. They did not have a gold ring my size, so Joe offered to make me one. Intrigued, I asked if I could watch. Joe melted down an old damaged ring (he called it recycling) and forged a new one from the gold. It was incredibly cool to watch him make a band from the extruded metal and then polish it shiny in about 30 minutes. The final price was less than a factory ring from a mall store, but the old-school friendliness and service from Joe and his wife were the best part.

I had several rings that needed the diamonds reset, resizing, and repairs. I was a little wary to let them out of my sight. I looked and looked for someplace I would feel comfortable, and McKay was the place! Joe was so kind, knowledeable, and helpful. He did a beautiful job repairing my jewelry. Every piece looked brand new, and many of them were vintage! I have now taken in my vintage watch for repair and will go back in for appraisals on all my jewelry when it is done. I'm a designer (architecture student), and I've always wanted to design my own engagement ring. Like, ACTUALLY design it, rather than sit down and pick out a list of features. I wanted one unique and special to me and my fiancee. She gave me ideas, showed me pictures of rings she liked, and I was able to design something completely new in 3D on my computer. I prepared a set of drawings for Joe, hoping that he'd be able to get something close to what I had designed. I was a bit worried, having never dabbled in jewelry design before, that some of the things I had asked for would be too difficult. On the contrary, when I picked it up, it looked exactly as I had designed it. Joe is a miracle worker! He added every little detail I had drawn, and the ring came out great! He was as excited about it as I was! Not only is he a great jeweler, but he is genuinely interested in my personal story. He complimented me several times on my ability as a jewelry designer (something which I appreciated), was very excited to meet my fiancee, and wanted to know how I planned on proposing. I know that, to some people, their job is just a job, but Joe does it cause he loves being a part of that special moment in so many people's lives. I can't say enough how proud I am to have had the opportunity to work with Joe, and the chance he gave me to design a ring that was wholly my own. It was a wonderful experience, and I would recommend him to anybody.

My husband and I visited McKay Jewelers after reading all the phenomenal reviews. My wedding band (a custom, 10 mm wide, engraved platinum ring) was a 1/2 size too tight after our first child was born. The jeweler we purchased the ring from had told us that it couldn't be resized, due to the design of the band and the placement of the diamonds. I spent several months trying to figure out what to do about our problem, and finally decided to visit Joe at McKay Jewelers. I'm soooo glad we did. Joe was able to resize my ring, no problem. He did it right in front of us, making sure not to damage the diamonds or the design of the ring in any way. It now fits just like it did the first time I put it on. I recently purchased a ring from McKay Diamonds, and got engaged to my now fiancee. I will readily admit that my review will be a little bit biased because of emotion, but I will try to be objective. I searched two different cities looking for a ring that would be just right for my girlfriend, and eventually decided that to get what I wanted, I would have to have a ring custom made. I talked to three or four different ring shops that made custom rings, and eventually settled here for several reasons. - I never felt that the proprietors tried to upsell me, I never felt pressured to get something different than what I described like I did in several other stores. - I felt that the proprietor was extremely knowledgeable about his craft, and could answer any of my questions without any problem. - The price was incredibly fair, and quite low too. - I liked that I was able to customize my ring entirely, from providing photos found online that showed a band design that I liked, to choosing the stone that went into as well (I decided to go with a Chatham Sapphire) and the setting for the stone as well. The ring was completed about two weeks after I ordered it, which actually was a little bit slow for Joe, and he apologized for that. He said that it normally takes about one week. Considering that most other places gave me an estimate of 3-8 weeks for a custom ring, I wasn't too upset that it took a little longer than estimated at the beginning (I was told a week and a half at the beginning). Customer service was good. I called the day before it was expected to be finished, and was told that it would be done about 4. I live an hours drive away, and didn't want to drive home in rush hour traffic, and asked if it could be completed earlier, and they managed to get it done about 12. I appreciate them making an effort to accommodate me schedule as well. Craftsmanship is, to my frankly uneducated eye, incredible. The stone is set so that the stone really shines and shows it's color, even though it's bezel set (no prongs to catch on stuff). The curves and lines are beautiful, and seems superbly put together. The ring has a good weight to it, and feels solid. The band design is very symmetrical and well done. My girlfriend told me "to give them 10 stars" when she saw the ring. Also, free sizing and care on the ring for life. So yay! The ring was everything that I hoped that it would be, and perfectly matched my hopes that I had for it when I tried to describe it to Joe, so kudos to him for taking my desires and translating it perfectly into a marvelous ring.

Had my engagement ring custom made at McKay's when we lived in SLC. We moved out of state but since they did such a great job with the engagement ring, I wanted them to make a matching wedding band as well. The wedding band didn't match the engagement ring exactly (I'm picky and Joe was going off photographs). But when I pointed out some of the differences, Joe adjusted the wedding band at no extra cost and did a fabulous job!

I walked into McKay to ask about having my ring resized down. The owners told me the stone would have to be reset, and quoted me a price. A few days later, they called to tell me it didn't need as much work as they previously thought. They said they would charge me half the original quoted cost. I was surprised at their honesty. They easily could have charged what they originally quoted. When I went to pick up my ring today I was already happy with my experience, but then I looked at my ring. It looked even better than before and they had removed a small chip in the corner of the stone. I left wowed and I'll highly recommend McKay in the future.

Unlike most reviewers, however, my need was not based on a ring or necklace; rather, I needed links removed from a watch I recently obtained. Not a Rolex or anything fancy, so I was admittedly a little intimidated bringing it to a jeweler to have the band adjusted. The 5 star reviews were totally justified. The woman who helped me (presumably one of the owners from reading other reviews) couldn't have been kinder or more patient as we kept removing links slowly so as to ensure the best fit. I went here with some of my jewels from my family, so I wanted to make sure that it was going to be a very nice ring. I was a little leery at first seeing this little whole in the wall of a store, but Joe and Sandra were very helpful. They had a ring that was exactly what my fiance wanted and they were able to make it with all the gold and jewels I brought them. Joe is very fair and honest, even when we had a problem getting emeralds for the rings band. When his vendor fell through and he was not able to produce the ring in time. I honestly don't understand why McKay Diamonds isn't nationwide. I had a broken Movado watch that I took to three other big whig chain locations and they all gave me estimates of 2-5 weeks for repair and several hundred dollars in cost. Someone recommended McKay and I'll never go anywhere else. Joe and Sandra are amazing. He not only fixed my watch but did it faster and more affordably than anyone else. They were personable and kind. Joe talked to me about motorcycles for at least 30 minutes after our transaction was complete and is such a genuine guy. I highly recommend McKay.

This is my first google review because I've never wanted to praise a company so much. Joe did custom work with a very complicated bezeled opal set in a ring that previously had prongs and he did it in two weeks. I was nervous about how it was going to turn out but it honestly shocked me with how beautiful the final product was. And it was about half the price of custom work through kay jewelers! And kay jewelers were commissioned salesmen who tried to convince me it wouldn't look right with an opal, well Joe certainly proved them wrong, and in a fourth the time. Anyways, if you need any custom work or just an honest jeweler who cares a lot about what he does, go to McKays. If you want to pay a lot and get a mediocre buying experience, kay jewelers is located in city creek.

The ring had been worn so long that the band had worn very thin and close to breaking. My boyfriend recently proposed with a home-made wooden ring as he was uncertain what type of engagement ring I would like. As we are British (and not living in SLC) we used Yelp to assist in finding a jeweller. McKay Diamonds got 5 stars and great reviews, so we kept it on our shortlist. McKay Diamonds was the fourth shop we visited and Joe (the owner) could not have been more helpful. I knew what I wanted, and instead of saying “no, we don’t have anything like that” (as a couple of the other jewellers did), he explained that he could custom make a ring for us, and showed us a number of moulds he made previously which he felt may have been appropriate. In total on visit one we were in there for an hour or so discussing possible options. At no time did we feel pressurised to purchase as we did in another jewellers in SLC. We left, explaining that we wanted to think about it, as a ring is a big decision. Joe agreed. Three days later we went back. We really wanted a ring that meant something to us, so decided to go with McKay Diamonds, as Joe seemed honest, passionate about what he does, and all custom rings are made on site by him . We spent about another 2 hours with Joe, talking through designs, and in the end we settled on a sapphire surrounded by diamonds. However, to make it more personal, my boyfriend asked if Joe could incorporate the Teton Mountain range into the ring as he proposed on Jackson Lake and that was the view! Joe said “no problem” and he would incorporate it into the gallery which supports the sapphire. We supplied Joe with a couple of photos of the Tetons (the view which we had on the lake) to use. Twenty-four hours later, Joe calls to ask if we could come and have a look at the ‘rough’ ring he has cast in from scratch in metal to ensure it is what we wanted. We expected just an outline of the mountains, but Joe had made it three-dimensional and captured the entire range – in 8mm!!!! It was incredible! We were over the moon and confirmed that we would like him to make the actual ring. One week later it was ready (this was a shorter time frame than he originally stated, so even more impressive). We couldn’t be happier with the ring. Joe put an incredible amount of work into our engagement ring and it is better than we hoped. We believe is exceptionally good value for the amount of time and effort he put in. We now have something that holds a lot of memories for us by a man who is clearly very passionate about his work and wants to produce the best for his customers. We are certainly going back to Joe for our wedding bands next year, even if we have to get the shipped to the UK!

when I saw only 5-star reviews, I said this simply cannot be... the store was closed on that particular Saturday, so we went to two other highly rated jewelers for opinion. Both said that what we were asking could not be done -- we have a very unique family ring that we wanted to resize without losing any of the design and that was going to be impossible... even the jeweler who made the ring back in the day said resizing will be extremely complicated... and yet Joe was up to the challenge... I don't know how many hours it took him, but when we got the ring back we were in AWE... He got it to the right size and re-matched the design so perfectly there was no way to tell the ring was altered in the first place... I would definitely go back to Joe and Sandra again and again Finally, I was worried about the price since the shop is located in the heart of downtown where the rent must be quite high -- I was proven wrong -- Joe's price was very reasonable and again not sure how you can even put a price tag on a work of a true artist like Joe -- if you want your ring done right this is the place to go

I want to make this review short and straight to the point. I was planning on asking my girlfriend to marry me; I was very inexperienced and didn't even know where to start. So I started where any person in my position would start, with a Google search. I looked through many stores but only found ONE with a perfect score; McKays jewlers. I have never seen a store or even a product with a perfect score so I was very intrigued. I live in Wyoming but I decided to travel to Utah based on this impeccable score. Now after I went to McKays and picked out the settings for my custom ring I became very nervous. I had already paid for the ring and I started to think " what if McKays just made up fake accounts and wrote all those reviews?" So while I waited (and panicked more and more every day) I thought about how I could put my worries to rest. The day I received the ring, (which they shipped to me priority shipping WITHOUT additional cost) I went and got it appraised. It appraised for TWICE of what I paid. Every single person that has seen the ring has been amazed by its beauty. My fiance thinks the ring is amazing and it goes beyond our hopes. I know this review wasn't very short but it is as short as it could possibly be with the results we got. USE THIS STORE AND YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. Joe recommended we buy our diamond (emerald cut) onlne at Blue Nile to get the best diamond for our money. We narrowed it down to a few diamonds and he helped us make the final decesion. I thought just like you do right now that these ratings are fake because some of them open with this same type of sentence. I purchased a ring there and am super satisfied! He's been doing rings since he was 9, for like 34 years. We showed him the ring we wanted and he put a rock in it for less than the price of the original ring design. He also mentioned the ring we showed him was made in china and thats why all the little diamonds fall out. In big cities there is a guy that makes rings better than everyone else and this guy is it. Save your time, get the most bang for your buck and go with this guy. Also if you are thinking you live too far away from this place just call him and you can get everything planned out for your ring over the phone and email. Also his accent is not chinese like i originally thought it was he is from south america, he knows his stuff. My wife gets complements on her ring all the time.

I took my custom wedding set to get it resized. After googling and searching for jewelers in the area that were willing to work with 1) jewelry that hadn’t been purchased at their establishment and 2) a jeweler who was willing to work with palladium., I was so pleased to find McKay Diamonds was willing and able. They had done an appraisal for me several years ago but I hadn’t had them do any work on my jewelry at the time. I started with an email to ask them about my ring and the things I needed done. This place is awesome! McKay resized my wedding band, cleaned, and polished in less than an hour, and the price was super reasonable.
